¶ Intro / Opening
Wendy's homestyle French toast sticks are so delicious. Some are saying that they're better than their mom's breakfast. Excuse me. Did you just say Wendy's French toast sticks are better than my breakfast? Mom, is that you? Answer the question. I said some people are saying that because they're so crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and perfect in every way. Uh-huh.
And what do you think? I think it's time to tell people to choose wisely. Choose Wendy's Sweet and Crispy Homestyle French Toast Sticks. That's still not an answer. At participating U.S. Wendy's during breakfast hours.
¶ Crowley Was Right, Jon Was Wrong
Note for the record that we can add another tally to Sheriff Crowley's side of the board. Seems that she was right about the pigs, after all. Scott Hickory died so long ago that the pigs were able to digest and excrete all of the remains, bone fragment, and other... organic material before we were able to dissect them. Looks like they get to live another day. Not that I'm upset about it, but... You know.
The pigs consumed nearly 90% of Hickory's body, leaving only bone fragments, and when pieced together, there were no indications of any type of trauma. Any undeteriorated flesh has shown time of death consistent with a timeline outlined by Sheriff Fran Crowley. My best conclusion is in agreement with her findings. Scott Hickory was not murdered. And I was very wrong. After speaking to him, Scott just seems so confused.
It's possible that I fed him the idea that he was murdered and that's why, but... Hell, he didn't even know he was dead. Why did I instantly jump to asking him what happened instead of examining the evidence? Is it possible that this place changed me so much already? Have I given up on the scientific facts and gone all the way to the side of listening to what ghosts have to tell me? What is happening to you, John?
¶ Jon Needs Someone To Talk To

I'm Amy Nicholson, the film critic for the LA Times. And I'm Paul Scheer, an actor, writer, and director. You might know me from The League, Veep, or my non-eligible for Academy Award role in Twisters. We love movies, and we come at them from different perspectives. Yeah, like Amy thinks that Joe Pesci was miscast in Goodfellas, and I don't. He's too old. Let's not forget that Paul thinks that Dune 2 is overrated. It is.
Anyway, despite this, we come together to host Unspooled, a podcast where we talk about good movies, critical hits, fan favorites, must-sees, and in case you missed them. We're talking Parasite the Home Alone. From Grease to the Dark Knight.
We've done deep dives on popcorn flicks. We've talked about why Independence Day deserves a second look. And we've talked about horror movies, some that you've never even heard of, like Ganja and Hess. So if you love movies like we do, come along on our cinematic adventure. Listen to Unspooled wherever you get your podcasts. And don't forget to hit the follow button.
