[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, hey, welcome. [SPEAKER_00]: Welcome, welcome. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so today, I'm just gonna warn you all that I'm not doing a crime case. [SPEAKER_00]: Whoa, or even it's crime-esque, but for those of you who wanted to know ahead of time, if it's gonna be a crime case, or if it's not, today's not gonna be a crime case because I felt like doing something other than crime, [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well I'm here for it. [SPEAKER_00]: So, but before we get into that.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll just let you know that Jenny and I are plant it's a Friday night and we're planning on going to get a drink right after this. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, we are spontaneously. [SPEAKER_00]: I just kind of jumped into her plans. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, our plans actually were spontaneous. [SPEAKER_01]: So that is perfectly fine. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, that's good.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I had nothing and I'm traveling next week again, so I was feeling guilty and thought, I need to be home for my children and went to school pick up and I get a phone call while I'm in the lineup. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna go with so-and-so-and-so. [SPEAKER_01]: so you can just go home. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and then you're like, I'm so glad that I drove all the way over here and it's sat in the carpool line. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, to not get you right.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love, love wasting time. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't have it's my favorite. [SPEAKER_00]: Actually, Jenny Jenny is, it's like the worst or Jenny to me. [SPEAKER_00]: I would be like, oh, well, it's fine. [SPEAKER_00]: I've been listening to a podcast or book on tape or watching a show in like, while I'm [SPEAKER_00]: But I can just imagine your skin crawling out of your like soul.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's more just in general, but over the years, how many times it's happened, where I've gone to pick up a child, whether it be school or a friend's house or [SPEAKER_01]: whatever, if you have blood of club and they're like, I'm going home with so and so awesome, awesome, and so glad that I drove here. [SPEAKER_01]: And some of these nights, I like for go have it, I can't even have glass of wine because I'm thinking I'm doing a pickup.
[SPEAKER_01]: I know the pickup and it's not even successful. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, tonight you're going to have a glass of wine after you don't have kids. [SPEAKER_01]: I know. [SPEAKER_01]: And Cody started his first job. [SPEAKER_01]: What? [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: Wow. [SPEAKER_01]: It was congratulations. [SPEAKER_01]: It was a little spontaneous also. [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, he he started working. [SPEAKER_01]: We offered to come in this evening and tip well.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he said, absolutely not. [SPEAKER_01]: We need to [SPEAKER_00]: And so we're going to go, right, and we are going to use our accents. [SPEAKER_00]: That might push it over the edge. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, let's do it. [SPEAKER_01]: I promised him that we would not be showing up this evening. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want him having anxiety all night long. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I just can show up and I will be like, I didn't even know you had a job Cody.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: Meanwhile, I'll be in the car. [SPEAKER_00]: Funny thing, I was just talking about Kyla getting a job soon when she comes back to. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, and here's the thing. [SPEAKER_01]: I think some of it is money, sure, because they, you know, 13 years, they burn money, they're out eating out all the time or whatever. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, should you be paying for some of that yourself? [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, you should.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I also want him to get time learning how to work and go to school. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, because you're going to have to do that in college, that's what people do. [SPEAKER_01]: So I want him to get a custom to that lifestyle. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, how can you keep your grades up and keep a part time job. [SPEAKER_01]: I just think it's so important. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, not everybody works in college.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I think the majority people around here do not work in college. [SPEAKER_01]: I think I think a lot of them do now things have changed a lot. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I worked all through college. [SPEAKER_01]: So, but I think you should, I think kids should. [SPEAKER_01]: And maybe I'm the minority in that, that's fine. [SPEAKER_01]: But you know me, I like to make my kids earn.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's fine because what I've seen even just in high school if they have too much time and get themselves into much trouble. [SPEAKER_00]: Yep. [SPEAKER_00]: That's exactly what I said. [SPEAKER_00]: Yep. [SPEAKER_00]: So unless I do have self-introble the better. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: That is 100% truth. [SPEAKER_00]: And so I agree with the job situation. [SPEAKER_00]: I had a job since, I mean, I had a job when I was 13.
[SPEAKER_00]: But, um, as soon as I turned 16. [SPEAKER_00]: What? [SPEAKER_00]: Did you babysat? [SPEAKER_00]: I babysat when I was like 11 I actually had a job in the summer all summer babysitting at 11 and then at 13 I clean I babysat 2, but then I cleaned houses I went and I worked. [SPEAKER_00]: the youth employment agency. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh my gosh, I had no idea. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: That's awesome.
[SPEAKER_00]: My clean people's houses and then which I cleaned this lady's house to had birds and she made me clean the poor cage. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it was all really disgusting. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, did you quit after that? [SPEAKER_00]: I really did not enjoy it and I made $30 a [SPEAKER_00]: really terrible. [SPEAKER_00]: But I did it. [SPEAKER_00]: Speaking of birds, holy shit, dude. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm driving the other day.
[SPEAKER_00]: I had to go get a gift for somebody. [SPEAKER_00]: And so my, um, my, our friend actually, one of our mutual friends, Lauren, she was like, can I come with you? [SPEAKER_00]: Um, do you want company? [SPEAKER_00]: I said, yes, because I was [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And so I pick her up and we're driving. [SPEAKER_00]: We're getting on the freeway. [SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, she's talking to me.
[SPEAKER_00]: So my eyesight is like obviously on the road, but it's also a little bit towards her. [SPEAKER_00]: Sure. [SPEAKER_00]: I see this like, lock a bird's kind of like eating off the grass, basically, or whatever they're doing on the grass, right? [SPEAKER_00]: And then I see this big Falcon come swoop down. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: It's going to get a bird like it's going to.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I've heard all the birds start flying as fast as they can and one just Pounds my car Side of it just the sighting right didn't we didn't what no it didn't actually leave a dent But well, I didn't even know I just I mean it pound in the car right where Lauren was sitting [SPEAKER_00]: And we were like, oh my gosh, what the hell just happened? [SPEAKER_00]: And I felt so bad. [SPEAKER_00]: I looked at my rear-remear and I didn't see it on the ground, but do I do?
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_01]: So maybe it just like ricochet off and kept flying. [SPEAKER_00]: I hope so. [SPEAKER_00]: However, when we got to the place where we were going, [SPEAKER_00]: The entire bird imprint is on my car wing span fully open night in the bird's head like on the car. [SPEAKER_00]: Did you do the picture in like dust. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I did. [SPEAKER_00]: It's it was nuts. [SPEAKER_00]: Actually, I can actually see the whole entire bird.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so you tonight, I'm going to see you. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's still there. [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't take it off yet. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh my gosh. [SPEAKER_00]: And then I thought birds mean something. [SPEAKER_00]: I hope that doesn't mean anything bad. [SPEAKER_00]: So weird. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, it doesn't mean anything bad.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I and it hit me in my defense, like I didn't I could there was nothing I could do it just like smacked into the side of the car, but I really do not like when animals get in my way. [SPEAKER_01]: I, well, I don't like when animals or bikers get in my way. [SPEAKER_01]: what bikers are. [SPEAKER_01]: I have time for bikers. [SPEAKER_01]: I admit, I'm not the nice patient biker follower. [SPEAKER_00]: Here's another. [SPEAKER_00]: Here's another one of Jenny's.
[SPEAKER_01]: Why she's not nice for some of yeah, my confessions of being a bad person. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't typically have nice things to say about the bikers. [SPEAKER_01]: I try. [SPEAKER_01]: I try really hard because I think it's great that people are out and getting exercise and being healthy, but I just don't understand why we need to do it on a like when there's only two lanes, one each direction.
[SPEAKER_01]: I know and then they take up the whole lane and you're going to find them and you're like, okay, I really don't have time for that. [SPEAKER_01]: They don't have time. [SPEAKER_01]: They do not have time for that. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to need you to go somewhere [SPEAKER_00]: I was supposed to do two tennis matches today. [SPEAKER_00]: And they were kind of back to back. [SPEAKER_00]: And it was, my time was very limited.
[SPEAKER_00]: And in two different spots, and I got, I got not behind a train, but I got on the train track. [SPEAKER_00]: Thing, it closed right when I was in the through. [SPEAKER_00]: And the trains here in Texas, you guys are, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. [SPEAKER_00]: You could be sitting there for 20 down minutes. [SPEAKER_00]: if you get one of those oil ones that have all the like oil tankers on it. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh my gosh, I was so, I was like I'm going to miss it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to miss it. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to do it. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not making my tennis match. [SPEAKER_00]: Which one would be like boo who you? [SPEAKER_00]: Housewife. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm so sorry, you missed your tennis match today. [SPEAKER_00]: That's so unfortunate for you. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so I didn't tell you what we were talking about today, but I'm going to tell you now, okay, now okay, actually I'm going to make you guess, Jenny.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay, it's something that I love. [SPEAKER_01]: something that you love. [SPEAKER_01]: Traders. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: How did I know? [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god. [SPEAKER_01]: Please tell me. [SPEAKER_01]: It's about Renna saying she thinks she was drugged. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh my gosh. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: So yes, let's actually talk about that first. [SPEAKER_00]: So Lisa Runna is on the traitors. [SPEAKER_00]: I will get into what the traitors is.
[SPEAKER_00]: If you guys have no idea, but Lisa Runna was on the real housewives of Beverly Hills for many years, which is funny because on they do like a watch what happens live or what they do a traitors reunion with Andy Cohen actually after the traitors. [SPEAKER_00]: So she was on there. [SPEAKER_00]: And she actually kind of has ill will against the housewives. [SPEAKER_00]: So that was used to me. [SPEAKER_00]: But she went to the Trader's premiere party.
[SPEAKER_00]: So that would have been whenever it premiered like 10 weeks ago or something. [SPEAKER_00]: And she says that she was drugged with fentanyl. [SPEAKER_00]: Which, but really freaking scary. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but why is she just now saying that after the show wrapped you know I thought about that too because it has to have been 10 weeks ago and also if it was fentanyl I'm pretty sure what a killer.
[SPEAKER_00]: No, you can take, like they give you fentanyl when you're getting surgery and stuff like that. [SPEAKER_00]: Like you can take a small dose of fentanyl and it's fine. [SPEAKER_01]: In limiting it out maybe I'm just traumatized from it. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, Jenny has had somebody that has that she knows that overdose on fentanyl by accident because it's like the same thing. [SPEAKER_00]: It was the way it was the Nancy's out of place.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yes, so. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's that. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe she took a pill that somebody gave her and it would, you know, I don't know. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what. [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously she got some sort of she says fentanyl. [SPEAKER_00]: She says fentanyl and high levels of methamphetamines. [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't look into if fentanyl is a methamphetamine, but I'm pretty sure it is.
[SPEAKER_00]: So whatever she thinks that she got drugged at the Trader's party, which is totally not like. [SPEAKER_00]: If she did, um, I also don't know if there is just, if the Trader's party was open to the public or if it was at a public bar restaurant, like she said she can't really talk too much about it because it's like getting investigated. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_00]: Interesting. [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it is interesting that that not just follow that one.
[SPEAKER_00]: But we'll follow up more. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we got to stand top of that one. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I never know what actually happened. [SPEAKER_00]: But scary, very scary. [SPEAKER_00]: Especially if you don't show you like any kind of drugs, could you imagine? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Tiny is bit. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll absolutely affect you. [SPEAKER_00]: My daughter actually just sent me a party that she wants to go to with some influencers in Los Angeles.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my gosh. [SPEAKER_00]: She's, I said, girl, you are ahead of your game. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, then this least run a thing came out and I was like, you're all doing it zero. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, you're a little girl slow or role. [SPEAKER_00]: Actually, you know, my girlfriend that I worked with way back in the day, she lives in the valley. [SPEAKER_00]: Her daughter also bought one of these like Xanaxes or something off of somebody at high school, and it was laced in She died also.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, see, I'm talking, I hear it all the time. [SPEAKER_01]: There was actually just a report about the number of Americans that it killed in the last year and it is like thousands upon thousands upon thousands of more than it's ever been. [SPEAKER_00]: That is it's terrifying. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, terrifying. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I said before, this show is going to be about things that make me happy and so hopefully the things that make me happy or the things that make Jenny happy and like I said, I love the traders and the season finale was last night now. [SPEAKER_00]: Did you watch it? [SPEAKER_01]: No, Jenny, I did not have time, I know I know I know I know totally suck, but I know, and I really was having the extensions.
[SPEAKER_00]: What my wife forward the next thing we're going to talk about after the traders, you're going to have to watch like it's going to be a requirement. [SPEAKER_01]: I know, I know, I totally see. [SPEAKER_01]: I said, when I'm on the plane this week, I have to watch traders. [SPEAKER_01]: No, you don't have to watch traders. [SPEAKER_00]: Watch tell me lies. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I have to watch that too.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my gosh, if you guys watch tell me lies and you watch the season finale of that, holy, I'm not gonna give it away because that's one, it's three seasons, binge it, do it, whatever you wanna do, it's on Hulu. [SPEAKER_00]: ending was so wild, not what I expected or could it have been what I expected? [SPEAKER_00]: I guess I should have just said I should have expected it, but we can get that into that another time. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, last night's traders was so good.
[SPEAKER_00]: The best I think I've ever seen and I have basically seen them all. [SPEAKER_00]: And so this is going to be a spoiler. [SPEAKER_00]: So if you want to watch it and you haven't watched it yet, then you got to pause and come back because there is a spoiler here. [SPEAKER_00]: And so Jenny, I'm going to spoil it for you because I have to. [SPEAKER_00]: I know that all you've ever heard this season compares to season two of the UK. [SPEAKER_00]: I know it's your fault.
[SPEAKER_00]: No. [SPEAKER_00]: Season 2 UK was another version that I would say now was my favorite. [SPEAKER_00]: I think I pushed it down to my second favorite. [SPEAKER_00]: But for those of you that don't know anything about traders, let me just explain. [SPEAKER_00]: Traders, it's a psychological strategy game set in a castle in Scotland, they bring together about 20 to 25 players in a small group and they secretly choose a few what they call traders.
[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone else is a faithful. [SPEAKER_00]: Now no one knows who the traders are. [SPEAKER_00]: At first, right, the traders will eventually know who they each other are, um, but everybody just thinks they're a faithful. [SPEAKER_00]: Once the, they are chosen, you know, the earth's night, the traders kind of come together and then they work together secretly eliminating players each night.
[SPEAKER_00]: While during the day, the entire group meets, they do like challenges, think like survivor to get money. [SPEAKER_00]: And then at night, they congregate. [SPEAKER_00]: They talk about who they think are traders. [SPEAKER_00]: And then they eliminate one player from the game. [SPEAKER_00]: So one player is eliminated via the traders. [SPEAKER_00]: They're like murdered basically at night.
[SPEAKER_00]: And during the day, all the people comes together and eliminate one player, whether it be a trader or a faithful. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, Jenny and I play this game also at home. [SPEAKER_00]: Very similar to this, but it's also hide and seek. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's a little different, but it's very fun. [SPEAKER_00]: And so that's why I think I like this game so much is because I love playing murder. [SPEAKER_00]: And I love playing with our kids.
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's just like very, even though it's called murder, it's very family friendly. [SPEAKER_00]: I know I found so terrible. [SPEAKER_00]: It really sounds really bad, but it's not, forgive me if that triggers anybody, okay, now at the end of the game, if all of the traders are eliminated by the faithfuls, then the faithfuls split the pot, if one trader just one remains and survives to the end that trader takes all the money. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's kind of like mafia mate survivor.
[SPEAKER_00]: You might see a mafia of gamers. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And you know, I love survivor. [SPEAKER_00]: And survivor 50 just came on less. [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, no on Wednesday. [SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to get into that too in just a second. [SPEAKER_00]: Now during the season, you get to know these characters and all of them are trying to convince one another that they are all faithfuls. [SPEAKER_00]: They click up and form alliances.
[SPEAKER_00]: and during this nightly round table, people are called out for their behavior, how they're playing the challenges, what they say, what they slip up. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, everyone is on high alert and they are looking for any single clue that would tell them that they are a trader, right? [SPEAKER_00]: It's truly a mine game, especially for the traders, because they are lying the entire game.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that what you'll hear from traders if you watch it long enough and you kind of follow them after like it is a mind fact dude like you are lying to people. [SPEAKER_00]: I think everybody wants to win the money. [SPEAKER_00]: Of course, everybody wants to win the money. [SPEAKER_00]: So I think that's why every time somebody's picked as a trader, they're not like, okay, I'm not going to be a trader. [SPEAKER_00]: They're like, yes, let's play this game.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is what I sign up for. [SPEAKER_00]: Or if they're asked to be a trader in the middle of the game, because that's what happens. [SPEAKER_00]: Nobody says no, you know, they have an option. [SPEAKER_00]: They're like, if you want to say no, and you don't want to, you know, you've been playing as a faithful for this long, and you don't want to, you know, switch to the dark side. [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody's like, no, I'll switch to the dark side. [SPEAKER_00]: Heck yeah!
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, now, this season was amazing. [SPEAKER_00]: You had characters that we all know, some that we love and some that we love to hate. [SPEAKER_00]: A whole bunch of housewives, like Durinda, Lisa Renna, like we just talked about. [SPEAKER_00]: Candace from the real housewives of Potomac, who I absolutely freaking love. [SPEAKER_00]: Porsche, Carolyn standsberry from Dubai. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they had like, wow, of housewives.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Then you have survivors, like people that have been on survivor, like Natalie and Rob, because Stearnout, now Boston Rob was also on the traders not this season, but last season, and you know, I love him. [SPEAKER_00]: Then you had love island people, like Rob, who I absolutely love. [SPEAKER_00]: And then you had Colton from the Bachelor. [SPEAKER_00]: You had some other kind of eclectic people, [SPEAKER_00]: season, but they do and pass season.
[SPEAKER_00]: So you've got these like gamers and reality TV stars all playing this game and days go by and the cast get closer and closer because they all [SPEAKER_00]: They actually live in a hotel. [SPEAKER_00]: It looks like they live in the castle, but they live in a hotel. [SPEAKER_00]: And they're not allowed to talk to anybody.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the only time that they can talk to people is when they are in the castle, like kind of like they go there in the morning and they breakfast together and then they spend their whole entire day together. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's like 18 hours probably this is what I heard of filming. [SPEAKER_00]: So you get to know each other pretty quickly, you know?
[SPEAKER_00]: So I didn't realize though that they were actually living in a hotel, but just in the castle to film just to film like for a few seasons they kind of made it seem like they were going to bed in the castle this time they didn't even [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so as, oh, let me tell you also on this season, they had Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir, who are two Olympic figure skaters. [SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, are BFFs. [SPEAKER_00]: So they are like best friends outside of this game.
[SPEAKER_00]: And [SPEAKER_00]: When they played the game at first, they really kind of acted like they didn't even know each other. [SPEAKER_00]: They were like, oh yeah, we kind of know each other because we were both like figure skaters, but they did not want to play the friendship card at first at all. [SPEAKER_00]: They eventually did, but they didn't at first. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, now the original traders were picked as Rob from love island, who's also my boyfriend in my head.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: He replaced Bieber. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, good job. [SPEAKER_00]: Play a lot. [SPEAKER_00]: He has not raised it. [SPEAKER_00]: He's only 27. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's a little young, but whatever. [SPEAKER_00]: I won't think about that. [SPEAKER_00]: Then there's Candace from Potomac, you know, and Lisa Renès, so two housewives. [SPEAKER_00]: A perfect trio in my opinion.
[SPEAKER_00]: However, I think Lisa, I would have picked her as a trader like, [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like I, I almost think they shouldn't have picked her as a trader. [SPEAKER_00]: I know because it was like too odd, it would be too obvious. [SPEAKER_00]: So obvious. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: It's so obvious to me. [SPEAKER_00]: Also during the roundtable speeches, Lisa didn't really say that much. [SPEAKER_00]: And Lisa is a freaking big ass loudmouth.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so you're like, why aren't you saying that much? [SPEAKER_00]: I like, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: You, you evolve people. [SPEAKER_00]: We know would be calling out every single person in this room for sure. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, she lasted longer than I thought actually until Rob, through the sun under the bus.
[SPEAKER_00]: And which if you are a trader, you can make that decision to get the other traders out or you can [SPEAKER_00]: you don't want to look like a trader ever. [SPEAKER_00]: So if you're constantly defending a fellow trader, that could make you look like your trader and you're next on the chopping block. [SPEAKER_00]: So you have to be really careful. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's game. [SPEAKER_00]: It is, it totally is. [SPEAKER_00]: Lisa was fabulous on the show.
[SPEAKER_00]: And once she was out because people started suspecting her because it's Lisa and Rob was like, not he was not going to defend her. [SPEAKER_00]: He was like, yeah, let's get her out. [SPEAKER_00]: So she gets out. [SPEAKER_00]: And then we have Candace left and he strategically gets Candace out as well. [SPEAKER_00]: I think he saw the writing on the wall from Candace, like she was like, you just eliminated a fellow housewife. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to come for you Rob.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so he was like, I got to do it first. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, basically that. [SPEAKER_00]: And so he gets candy out and then he needs to recruit another fellow. [SPEAKER_00]: Trader, like he needs to recruit somebody. [SPEAKER_00]: So he recruits one of his buddies, Eric, to become a trader with him. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, Eric is my son's favorite person on the show. [SPEAKER_00]: He's like the super nice musician guy that has a really hard time playing the role of a trader.
[SPEAKER_00]: He as soon as he gets the role, he's quiet, he doesn't talk, his demeanor changes, and this puts like a big red flag on him because you just can't do that. [SPEAKER_00]: You have to like, you have to play cool, you know, you have to just go in like you were going in before, but. [SPEAKER_00]: It plays on your mind. [SPEAKER_00]: And so he is just like, he's like, I don't know what to do. [SPEAKER_00]: I think people are looking at me like, you know, are they suspecting me?
[SPEAKER_00]: So yes, they are suspecting you, Eric, yes they are. [SPEAKER_00]: And Rob, you know, he tries to like rush over what people are talking about because everybody loves Rick and Rob. [SPEAKER_00]: Rob has like, [SPEAKER_00]: He has won over every faithful. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, no way would they ever suspect this hot, hunky snake slayer to be a snake. [SPEAKER_00]: Which it's like, dude, the guy has snake tattoos on himself. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, like, she needs.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he does. [SPEAKER_00]: And he, like, is a snake person. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, these are the things that we don't learn about. [SPEAKER_00]: But, sodium, cute, yummy. [SPEAKER_00]: kind of like dismiss the snake tattoos. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, understandable. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: And so, but these two, they like keep knocking off the faithfuls over and over and no one suspects Rob.
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so we get to the final episode and there are two traders, Robert Rob and Eric and three faithfuls left. [SPEAKER_00]: There's Mara [SPEAKER_00]: who is also from love island remember robbs from love island and not from the same love island so they know each other because they were on the same reality show but at different times I guess and Mara is extremely beautiful like one of the most beautiful people I've ever seen.
[SPEAKER_00]: And she's the one I told you has like the Irish accent that really annoys. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And she goes, I think I think it's not. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Rob. [SPEAKER_00]: And then there's Johnny and Tara who are the two bestie ice skaters. [SPEAKER_00]: And at this point, they have come together as best friends. [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody knows that they're best friends.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but also they probably came into it with a pact. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I think they did if they just wanted to let me, they're going to put it. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, Robin Eric, we're trying to convince Mara that those two, Johnny and Tara were the traders and Mara and are in Johnny and Tara, we're trying to convince Mara that Robin Eric or the traders. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, Rob was always questionable to all of them like.
[SPEAKER_00]: They, I think Johnny and Tara at the end were like, it's definitely Rob and Eric, but for sure, Eric. [SPEAKER_00]: So Eric was just like, I'm telling you, he didn't really play the best game. [SPEAKER_00]: Rob, I think, knew how cute he was and he charmed Mara in making her have some love goggles. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, nothing ever happened on the show, but I think I think Mara liked Rob.
[SPEAKER_00]: And thought maybe if they get to this together, right, you might be some love connection at the end of the rainbow. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying? [SPEAKER_00]: Uh-huh. [SPEAKER_00]: And so she's also my role, yes. [SPEAKER_00]: And she stuck by Rob through and through. [SPEAKER_00]: And so the first pickoff at this round table, they have like this fire ceremony, they pick off Johnny.
[SPEAKER_00]: Now with Johnny gone, the traders have the upper hand because you've got Eric and Rob now you have Tara and Mara but Mara's got the fucking love goggles on like she is not going to sway from.
[SPEAKER_00]: And Rob Mara and Eric now at this point, this is where it gets really good you guys Rob has a decision to make is basically he can get out Eric because Mara thinks Eric's a trader so Mara's like like it's mean you rob let's make a pack let's get there together let's pick off Eric I think he's a trader and Rob kind of is like yeah I'll go with it right so.
[SPEAKER_00]: But he has a choice like he can pick off Mara or he doesn't even have to pick off Mara, he could just stay there and do nothing and he still wins all the money, but he has to split it with Eric. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, got it. [SPEAKER_00]: He can pick off Mara and then they split the money same difference or he can pick off Eric and he wins all the money. [SPEAKER_00]: Because she gets nothing regardless of what happens.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And so they throw the like fire thing in and it's like, okay, they're going to vote and they vote off Mara and Rob vote off Eric, which is sad because now Rob gets all the money. [SPEAKER_00]: And the final scene they vote out Eric and Mara is standing there for sure. [SPEAKER_00]: She just won the 250,000 plus dollars. [SPEAKER_00]: I think it was like 280 or something.
[SPEAKER_00]: To split with Rob right she is for sure, but then they have to tell each other if they're a faithful or a trader and so right goes first and more as like. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm a faithful, of course. [SPEAKER_00]: Rob, you're a faithful too, right? [SPEAKER_00]: And he looks at her and he goes, Mara, I'm a trader. [SPEAKER_00]: Like my gosh, I have been a trader. [SPEAKER_00]: I have been a trader this entire time.
[SPEAKER_00]: And this poor girl's face was just like, she can not believe it. [SPEAKER_00]: She can't believe it. [SPEAKER_01]: It is like never crossed her mind that that was a possibility and a strategic game. [SPEAKER_00]: I think she trusted him so much that she was so sad. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like she is standing there and what she said on the like after show, she's like, I thought he was going to say just kidding, like she's like, I kept just waiting for him to be like just kidding.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really a painful and then she gets it. [SPEAKER_00]: He goes, no, she goes, you're kidding. [SPEAKER_00]: And he goes, I'm not going. [SPEAKER_00]: And she is like, you are an asshole. [SPEAKER_00]: She's like, I am so dumb. [SPEAKER_00]: I am so dumb. [SPEAKER_00]: And I felt so bad because he's like, you're not dumb. [SPEAKER_00]: And she's like, I am dumb. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, oh, I was like, so sad. [SPEAKER_00]: It is so sad, however, it's really heartbreaking.
[SPEAKER_00]: But breaking Rob played the best trader game in all trader games. [SPEAKER_00]: He was about to kill that he killed it killed it killed everybody killed everybody and he took the money and ran However supposedly he's going to buy more a broken bag Oh, okay, all right, which I don't know if it's true because Mike Okay, Rob, you're walking away with a little over a hundred thousand after taxes and Berkins are really expensive like I think they're upwards like 30 grand.
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, yeah Maybe he was thinking more like a Louis [SPEAKER_01]: I know, I was like, how about a Chanel? [SPEAKER_01]: I'm Chanel. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you need a broken. [SPEAKER_01]: That's a good compromise. [SPEAKER_01]: I think Chanel's a good compromise, Mara. [SPEAKER_00]: I think it is, too. [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going like Chanel, broken is overrated anyways.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's like, you know, I hate when people take pictures of their burkins and just to show you that they have a freakin' burkin, like who the hell cares? [SPEAKER_00]: I think Chanel is more classy. [SPEAKER_00]: My opinion, but that could just be because I don't have a broken. [SPEAKER_00]: So, so technically, just being that note. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but if I did have a broken, you will never see me posting a picture of it on my social media.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I mean, yes, that always does boggle my mind a little bit when I see that. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't get it. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't quite get it either, but then again, I don't know because I don't have a brick and either. [SPEAKER_01]: So maybe my husband bought me a brick and I'd be like, Oh, my God, sharing. [SPEAKER_00]: Look what I have. [SPEAKER_01]: Look at my broken.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, then I would be scared that somebody's going to break into my house and steal my damn brick and I know, and but any other thing is to again, I'm sure I feel different leaves. [SPEAKER_01]: Somebody gifted me a brick and buy. [SPEAKER_01]: then it's like I wouldn't want to use it. [SPEAKER_01]: It wouldn't want to take it anywhere. [SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't want to get dirty. [SPEAKER_01]: And so then it just didn't my closet on display.
[SPEAKER_00]: When he was questioned after like the final ceremony or whatever, why he didn't share the money with Eric. [SPEAKER_00]: He said, would you give $100,000 to someone you met three weeks ago? [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I don't necessarily like that way of thinking because it's a game show and essentially it's free money.
[SPEAKER_00]: And it to stop I think you're kind of in it to share it right because if you're a faithful you're sharing that with everybody that and like that makes it to the end and I mean at this point you know you're at least you're at least sharing it with two people regardless because you're not going to be the only. [SPEAKER_00]: faithful left. [SPEAKER_00]: You're there's guaranteed at least two faithfuls.
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, but then I think to how Eric played his trader game and I don't think he actually played a good trader game. [SPEAKER_00]: However, it made a good trader game for Rob because it got everybody to look at Eric instead of him. [SPEAKER_00]: So what do you do? [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: What would you do? [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know me.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'd probably like to [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever, like, didn't hurt anyone's feelings. [SPEAKER_01]: It made everybody happy and I couldn't, like, I don't think I could do anything, like, strategically to, like, upset other people. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, then you could not play this game. [SPEAKER_00]: I know, I know I could only be a faithful, I guess. [SPEAKER_01]: You could only be a faithful, I could be a faithful, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And I think a lot of people can only be faithfuls.
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, yes. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I get I think it it takes the right person to be a trader for sure. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, well, I would like to know all of you would do would you be a faithful, would you be a trader? [SPEAKER_00]: Would you share the money with the trader? [SPEAKER_00]: Would you kick them out and be like, no, it's my money because let me tell you another game show that my family is watching. [SPEAKER_00]: It's called Beast Games.
[SPEAKER_00]: Have you watched that? [SPEAKER_00]: No. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's so good. [SPEAKER_00]: It's for $5 million, okay? [SPEAKER_02]: It's like a whole. [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of money. [SPEAKER_00]: I want to I want to sign up for it, I don't know how I do that, but I want to love it. [SPEAKER_00]: I want to try for the best games. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll have to watch it. [SPEAKER_00]: That sounds like something Cody would watch. [SPEAKER_00]: Cody would love to watch it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Carly would love to watch it. [SPEAKER_00]: So there's that season finale just was on Wednesday. [SPEAKER_00]: And I have not watched the season finale. [SPEAKER_00]: So I have to watch it. [SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know who wins the five million dollars at this point. [SPEAKER_00]: However, I do know that there are some really messed up things that [SPEAKER_00]: Crazy. [SPEAKER_00]: And now people do, yeah, people do crazy things to get money.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's really just like this social experiment to see what people do when money and friendship and television cameras, yeah, are all on them even when they promise you that they are going to do one thing. [SPEAKER_00]: You see who does that thing and who doesn't and with the beast games, it's really apparent. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like [SPEAKER_00]: It is, it's, it's a really good social experiment and it's, it's a, it's a great. [SPEAKER_00]: Like I loved watching.
[SPEAKER_00]: I like watching with my kids too and there's some learning lessons, especially when people take more than their fair share, even though they told everybody that they were going to take their fair share and their fair share is. [SPEAKER_00]: Like enough, you know, right, right, and then they take it from other people that need it just as much as they do, like, you know, there's some there's some lessons that you're lucky to hit, right, yeah, like that that's never the way to.
[SPEAKER_00]: play any kind of game I know you can't walk away from that and feel good about yourself now with Rob situation I think it's a little bit different it is because I mean the whole point is to be strategic and not [SPEAKER_01]: have anybody know, like you're you're playing a character, right? [SPEAKER_01]: And the whole point for you to not let up who that character is, which requires you to do certain things.
[SPEAKER_00]: So it requires you to be kind of bad, you know, and so the only way to do it. [SPEAKER_00]: That's that's the only way to do it. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: It's different. [SPEAKER_01]: Um, the game show I used to love we would all watch it together is the wall. [SPEAKER_01]: Did you ever watch that. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh. [SPEAKER_01]: It's so good.
[SPEAKER_01]: And what it was they would like drop the big balls down and you would have somebody secluded and they'd have to like answer these questions. [SPEAKER_01]: And so you would drop the ball.
[SPEAKER_01]: And like, let's say it landed in, well, I don't know, there's a lot of different moving parts, but anyways, regardless, the person who is secluded answers these questions, if they get it right, you get the green ball and it drops wherever you had selected, if they get it wrong, it's a red ball, so it's deducting from your pot, right, the person who secluded has zero idea how much money you have, you could have a million dollars on the wall, you could have zero dollars on the wall.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then they get a contract at the end and it essentially gives them an offer kind of like a dealer no deal I guess in a way, not really I guess a little different, but then let's say they're like hey you either take what's on the wall, which they have no idea. [SPEAKER_01]: or you sign this contract and you walk away with $40,000. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And so they have to decide what to do without any communication, no idea what has happened.
[SPEAKER_01]: Then they go out at the end and their partner, then they have to tell them, [SPEAKER_01]: What they did, they either tore up the contract and they're keeping what's on the wall or a signed the contract to walk away with something. [SPEAKER_01]: And sometimes they would sign the contract for like 30 grand because they're like $30,000. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a lot of money.
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it's double, but then we'd leave with, you know, we could leave with nothing and then it would be like $900,000. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, crazy, so I'm gonna watch it. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, good. [SPEAKER_01]: It's good. [SPEAKER_01]: Is it still on? [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's on anymore, but I'm sure you could find the old episodes. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So next season 50 of the survivor started on Thursday.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, on Wednesday. [SPEAKER_00]: Season 50 50. [SPEAKER_00]: So they brought in all old cast members, okay? [SPEAKER_00]: They even brought in somebody from season one. [SPEAKER_00]: They brought in all these people and lots of people that I love like Siri. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my gosh. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: So let me just tell you, Siri. [SPEAKER_00]: One the traders. [SPEAKER_00]: And she was a trader. [SPEAKER_00]: She won season one of the traders as a trader.
[SPEAKER_00]: And she has played four times on survivor. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my gosh, she was on big brother. [SPEAKER_00]: I think last season. [SPEAKER_00]: So she's like, oh, yeah, and gamer, she's like a professional. [SPEAKER_00]: She's a professional. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she's like Boston Robb Boston Robb is a professional reality TV star also. [SPEAKER_00]: But they Aussies, one of my favorites, like, [SPEAKER_00]: My family and I binge survivor during COVID.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so, I mean, we like binge that we watch so many seasons. [SPEAKER_00]: And so, it's really kind of awesome to see these people come back. [SPEAKER_00]: And they're playing the game and it's like old world versus new world. [SPEAKER_00]: And so, [SPEAKER_00]: Anyways, I'm going to start watching that. [SPEAKER_00]: I am going to beg you, Jenny. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to do it. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to do it. [SPEAKER_00]: All right.
[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll go over that they did. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll just tell you, no, I'm not going to tell you because you guys can all watch it. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to, I'm not going to tell you who got voted out first. [SPEAKER_00]: But let's all watch Survivor. [SPEAKER_00]: Guys, Survivor 50, it's it's pretty incredible that it's been on for 50 seasons. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that is. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [UNKNOWN]: I'd [SPEAKER_01]: very, I mean, very, very long running show.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So let's watch it. [SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's it for today. [SPEAKER_00]: All right. [SPEAKER_00]: Love it. [SPEAKER_00]: All right. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, real quick.
