DeSoto Nature Trail (part 2)

Welcome to Episode 2 of Summer 2024

Today, we’ll finish the back side of the DeSoto Nature Trail. This trail descends down one side of the spillway back toward where we’ve parked our car. Then, in our final installment of this hike we’ll walk the DeSoto Spillway Trail which is about 3/4 of a mile. The Spillway Trail takes us up the other side of the spillway to the Lake DeSoto beach area. You can walk both trails consecutively or pick one or the other. There’s a lot going on in this area so it’s a convenient way to experience different things, including Bocce ball, the dog park and beautiful hiking.
