This week on Hot Couple Chronicles.
Done a lot of things
and yet nothing at all
at the same time. Nothing at all at the same time.
we took our kids to South Florida and just went to an island and we got an Airbnb and we did Thanksgiving there for a week and just,
yeah, that was kind of our first destination Thanksgiving. It was, it was really good to reconnect low key with people we haven't seen in a long time and we love them so hard.
I'm sure you've seen the videos on TikTok. We did our little reality show. It was something that we've never experienced before. It was different than anything we've ever seen. I went to my first dungeon in Atlanta.
We offer a before doors open, no one else is there but us. If you don't want to go on the tour, but you still wanna come to Trapeze and hang out with us, and party with us, the code
HCC or A BV will get you the biggest discount you'll ever get.
Also, that's why we have a podcast so we can kind
of finally. Say how we feel about things and talk about things that most people won't talk about. And are afraid to talk about, and that's why people listen to the podcast and we've gotten told that a million times is that people appreciate that we are real. We're real people. 'cause we are, we are just normal. We're you, we're regular. It's not that serious. Don't make it weird. People be making it weird and people making it so serious. And this space needs to be uncomfortable.
I think that it's time to shake things up. I think it's time to talk about things no one talks about. I think it's time to be uncomfortable and I think it's time to call out bullshit. Some things need to be challenged, some things need to be taken down. Some walls need to break it down and it's time. And I think that's what we're here for. And I'm ready for season four. Season four is going to be crazy.
I am Russ.
And I'm Ashley. And this is Hot Couple Chronicles. Happy Wednesday. Happy Wednesday
and happy fourth season.
Season four.
It's been a minute. We know we apologize.
It's been a
while. We've, uh. Done a lot of things
and yet nothing at all
at the same time. Nothing at all at the same time. Yeah. It's been a good mix of,
yeah. Winter swinger, season
Swingers, yeah.
Is Has been off, yeah.
Yeah.
Off season.
Yeah. It's been the off season.
Swinger off season. Yeah.
I mean, we did have some pineapple adventures, but we had a good mix of family, family
sabbatical.
Yeah. Sabbatical
keeps telling her. Everybody
keeps asking how we're a lot of personal things happen. Yeah, winter. Winter,
yeah. We started, we stopped the season in November, and then we went to
say we went
Trapeze for Christmas.
So since our last episode, we went to Thanksgiving. We had Christmas
and then, oh
yeah, Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving,
yeah.
With I anything of vanilla, we decided to have a vanilla. Pineapple family.
Yeah.
Thanksgiving with,
uh, we took our kids to South Florida and just went to an island and we got an Airbnb and we did Thanksgiving there for a week and just,
yeah, that was kind of our first destination Thanksgiving. We got to share it with Anything But Vanilla. Rob and Linz,
our kids got to connect and hang out. Yeah. And we made a big meal and spent a week on an island. It
was destination. So good. It was a destination Thanksgiving, but I still did the best I could to make a Thanksgiving feast. Yeah. And I feel like you did your thing. Did pretty good. Yeah. But
yeah, and then our kids hung out and we hung out and we just all just did island life for a week and then came back and did christmas at home and was all our family. Yeah. Cool. And then we went to Trapeze. We,
yeah.
They were throwing, Swing Nation was throwing a
Toys for
TOT charity event. Yeah. Toys For Tots event. So we went, we decided last minute to go there and we reconnected with Swing Nation and we, it was a surprise. Flirty pineapples.
Yeah.
Ended up showing up last second. Yeah.
Well, it was a surprise that we were showing up.
Yeah. We didn't know
it either.
Yeah.
And we decided to go,
yeah,
we made a quick post on all of our socials. And then. They commented on our post. I'm like, you were in the bathroom getting,
getting ready,
getting ready, putting your makeup and stuff, and I was just, I got a notification and I looked and I'm like, I yelled baby, you're like, what? I said the Flirty Pineapples are gonna be there tonight. She's like, what? And so, yeah, that was really good to see them again.
Yeah, we were there with them. Our friends, STD Hero and Anything But Vanilla, we had a whole crew there with Swing Nation. We ended up. You'll see, we will talk about it in a upcoming podcast. We're gonna talk all about all of our adventures, a little bit more in depth. This episode's gonna be kinda just a recap going over what we have done. And then we decided to do a low key New Year's Eve, we were thinking about Trapeze. That was on our radar. But
yeah, we had a lot of friends going to Trapeze for New Year's Eve. Eve. Yeah.
And
then we went to New Year's Eve at Trapeze last year.
Yeah. We decided we wanted more low key, more quiet. Yeah. So we had friends that asked to come to their house. So we had a group of us that went to their house and we had a good New Year's Eve at their house and we did,
yeah, it was, it was spicy vanilla, I guess. Yeah, because there wasn't, it wasn't real spicy. It was, it was really good to reconnect low key with people we haven't seen in a long time and we love them so hard. Yeah.
And then,
but. You know, again, they also have their own lives and stuff going on, so we just don't have a chance to connect with them as much as we could. So we got to go to their house and spend time with them. And then we had friends come over so we had a little group over there for New Year's Eve, and then after New Year's Eve, we went to the Greenville, South Carolina.
Yeah.
That was your birth, your birthday weekend?
Yeah, before my birthday. Yeah.
Yeah. And we went through a whole, that'll
definitely be a whole episode. I'm sure you've seen the videos on TikTok. We did our little reality show. It was something that we've never experienced before. It was different than anything we've ever seen. So we will sit down and talk about that experience way more in depth later on the season. But
it was different, but
it was wild. I didn't hate it. It was so much fun. And we were just talking about we need to go back so bad.
Yeah. We were just talking literally. Literally just talking about how, man, we need to get with them. That was such a good group of people.
Yeah. Yeah.
And yeah,
we did that and then we went to Rumors Atlanta. I went to my first dungeon in Atlanta. Yeah. You went that one
solo.
Yeah, I went to that by myself. Well, with the Lee. I went with our friends and did that, and then we went to Pads St. Patty Day party. We did that for your birthday weekend. Yep. And they had the Friday, the 13th, Friday party on Friday, and then they made it a whole weekend this time. So we did St. Patty's Day on Saturday and it was a whole weekend thing.
And then, yeah, we've done a lot of Trapeze nights because we now hosts every third Friday, so we started a thing with Anything But Vanilla every third Friday. Come experience Trapeze. If you've never experienced Trapeze. If you have always wanted to try Trapeze. Come check it out any third Friday. That's been our main focus. Yeah. Has been that. We
coined it Fresh Fridays.
Fresh Fridays. And it doesn't matter if you're new to Lifestyle, if you just wanna come tour Trapeze Atlanta with the lights on.
Yeah. So it's
for you.
So we got with Trapeze, Trapeze has always included, if you go to the front desk like, can I get a tour? They've always been really accommodating with that. On the downside of those tours, it's almost like you're being paraded around, because everybody sees you getting a tour, right? We offer a before doors open, no one else is there but us. All the lights are on on, not all the beds are made, all the staff is still prepping for the night.
Getting you checked in. Yeah.
Like it's not glitz and glam, but we will give you the entire rundown of the club before they open. Yeah. And not inclusive to that. If you don't want to go on the tour, but you still wanna come to Trapeze and hang out with us, and party with us, the code
HCC or A BV will get you the biggest discount you'll ever get.
Yes. At all. So if you tell the front desk you're with HCC or A BV, they will give you the discount that you're there with us and then. Just so visually we know they'll give you a special little pink bracelet so we can tell, if you don't tell us you're coming, we can see you're there with us and we can talk and introduce ourselves.
Yeah. Yeah.
And
we have our own little theme. Just look out on our socials. We'll show you. Yeah. But yeah, you'll get to see the club when it's not intimidating, when the lights are on. We'll check you in before everyone else gets there. We'll make sure that you get through and you do your ID and all of that computer stuff, and then you get everything paid for and you'll get in and get a spot to go sit down and eat and hang out and do all of that beforehand.
So Fresh Friday is like our main focus right now, and that's our biggest
yeah
thing. We'll be there every third Friday. This next May is going to be leather and lace. Yeah. Which we are all excited about. We're trying to do it, we're really trying to make it themes that are very easy for newbies. So if you're new to this lifestyle and you're new to the club, you're new to experiencing this stuff, we're trying to make it very basic so it isn't, you don't have to work hard
Yeah.
To dress up. We're
trying to give every, because we're have a different theme every month. We're
trying to make
it so easy. We're trying to make it simple enough where, yeah. You, chances are you have something that fits in your closet.
Yeah. You have something lace or leather, or you have something gold or pink. Like it's, we're trying to really break it down so it's very easy for you. We're trying to make it not too complicated. We do have requests coming from the peanut gallery of different themes that they want it to be, and I am excited.
It's a little more, there's a little more intent. We do
have some, a little bit, but we really do try to like, we're trying to, even with those requests, we're trying to break it down to like. Make it the easiest for new people to come and find costumes, stuff that they already have in their closet. Stuff they can incorporate.
Also, we're announcing on our website Yeah. The themes.
Yeah.
A month ahead of them. Yeah. So you have, so decide, trying to give you some time you decide to come the next month, you have a whole month to plan. Order some
Shein. Yeah.
For
Shein and
Shein. Amazon mostly.
Fashion Nova.
Yeah.
We've
got, we're giving you some time. You have all the, you have a month to plan for the next,
but that, that in mind, if you have any themes that you're trying to see, let us know because we are trying to come up with, we
are that
you
guys open to suggestions. No, everybody
thinks of, we have some requests for masquerade. A lot of people want masks. They have, we have a lot of people that want Renaissance. 'cause there's Renaissance fairs, so everybody's like really down with the Vikings or the Renaissance themes or
pretty
Brigerton We've had a lot of people request Bridgerton. Bridgerton.
I think would be so much fun.
So if you want a theme, just let us know and we can make that happen. Any third Friday at Trapeze Atlanta. We're really trying to focus, that's most, most of our mission has always been on the newbies and the people that are joining the lifestyle, and we've always really felt led towards that.
Yeah. And people that are un unsure, people that are trying, people that are exploring, experimenting, exploring, and so we really feel pulled towards this Fresh Friday event that we do every third Friday, and that's where most of our main focus is. On the podcast and Fresh Fridays, that's where everything's gonna be kind of on. Plus we're gonna be doing some stuff here and there. I've got a Nashville trip, a Secret trip possibly coming up in June.
And then we'll be hosting with Eros and we'll be working with them for the end of August, last weekend of August. We'll be at the Ramsey in Pigeon Forge.
Yeah,
everyone loves that hotel, loves that space. That's
actually the perfect time in that area because you start getting the fall colors, it's not too cold and you can still go down Gatlinburg, like the streets of Gatlinburg with your friends and do all the tastings and whatnot and the shopping. It's
be fun. Yeah,
it's a,
everyone
loves good time of year. Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg
area. Yeah.
Great hotel.
Yeah, we all know the Ramseys. It is a good, it's a good,
yeah,
it's a good space. It's a good venue. So we're doing that. And then who knows what else we might have up our sleeves. We're hoping for some Secret trips. Also have some. We have some events where we will let you know. You'll be the first one to know, but we have a lot of stuff gearing up for 2026. We are still figuring it all out. Yeah. Navigating that and
I mean, be fair, we've only had two fresh Fridays.
Yeah. Only our second. It's getting bigger Next May.
I mean, just last week we had our second one, which was,
yeah. We're gonna start, we're we're starting to talk. We're in talks of doing some Saturday events and making it a whole weekend, fresh Friday thing. Yeah. And we have some, we have a lot of plans in the future. Yeah. In the future of making it bigger and
if we get enough people coming with us to Trapeze, we're talking about maybe hotel discounts.
Yeah. We're talking about talking to the hotel and Yeah. Seeing if we can get blocks and you know, the more people that show up, the more people that support it, the more people that are there a little more, it's going to be bigger and bigger and bigger. So come out, come hang with us. Come. Come hang. We have, we just got home from, we just went to Swingchella at Trapeze. Oh yeah. We just did a fresh Friday. It's just this Friday was Fresh Friday.
We weren't planning on going, actually
We're gonna do Fresh Friday and drive home. That was the plan. And Swingchella is Trapeze's number one event of the year. That's one of their biggest advertised weekends. So we went to our Fresh Friday, had a great turnout, wonderful night. And then we ended up extending it and going to Swingchella and experiencing that, and it was. It was fun. It was fun. We saw so many, so many faces, so many people were there. And
yeah, it was, I saw
it started out slow
faces that
next. It really started out, it started out slow and every single person, including everyone who was
yeah,
owned and
charge of
Trapeze, was worried.
I'd say 11 o'clock. 11 o'clock.
It was 11 o'clock when everyone was,
and.
Relieved
because you, in the past like big events, you showed up early, was a line. To make sure you could make sure you got in.
It was a line to walk in the door
and yeah. This past Saturday it was like we walked, right, like when we pulled up, it's like
at eight 30. Yeah.
Not very many cars.
Oh.
And then there, there obviously was no line 'cause there weren't many cars. We walked right in and we went in, ordered our food and then like we hung out. And we talked to a few people that we already knew.
Yeah.
And no one, it was. It was dead. It wasn't dead, dead, but there were people there, but it wasn't as busy as it usually is. Yeah. And we're like, what the heck's going on? We
went in the office and everybody, like the owners and everybody. Yeah.
We were like,
we're worried too and then 11 hit and everyone there was line in, there was, so many people came in, there was car after car after car, and 11:00 PM It hit,
yeah, 11 o'clock I, it was packed. Stepped out front, packed and it was really packed. Line of cars out the parking lot. Yeah. Onto the street. And there was a line of people, I'm like, there everybody is. It
was 11:00
PM
everybody
came up. Oh, okay. And it, that, that kept going till about one o'clock in the morning, like by 12 30, 1 o'clock. It was so busy in there.
Yeah,
it was good. I'm like, there's everybody that sound, this is the crowd I was expecting.
It was a good night. It was a good weekend. They had a lot of people. We are just always supporting Trapeze. Trapeze has, that's our journey. That's our be, that's how we began. So we will always support Dennis and
Trapeze
and they will always
be, we have, definitely have a nostalgic attachment to Trapeze for sure. It's the
best of
the game. It is like best in the game. Multiple clubs around the country, and that is Trapeze Atlanta. The only thing I'll put up to par to Trapeze Atlanta would be Colette in New Orleans. Yeah.
Yeah. We love Colette too, but we love all of you. We love everybody. But Trapeze Atlanta always have a special place in our heart because that's where we began. Yes. That's where we go. That's where our date night place, that's where our, we host for every third, like Trapeze atlanta will always have a special place in our heart and we'll always be here for them. But yeah,
and you
know,
we'll show up. We might show up, get a wild hair and show up on a,
we have been doing that
more often.
Yeah, we've been doing that more often. We've been doing a lot more of that in the meantime. But we have so many things coming. It's gonna be a great year. We're gonna have a great year. I know. And on the one side of my mind, I'm like, it's time to take a breath. But then the other half, there's so many plans, so many things happening. So many events. So many, yeah.

Well, I think part of the struggle is not so much what we can go to, it's that. It's, well, lemme change that. It is not so much that what you can't go to is what we can't go to. And our favorite events are the ones we go together. Yes, you go and you have fun at other events solo, but I, you've been very vocal that the, your favorite events are the ones together. So those are far and in between.
With that Fresh Friday, it's, I've been able to kind of finagle stuff and you know, I can't be at everyone, but I am being able to go more often 'cause it's like just a Friday when we plan farther out, I might be able to move it to a Friday, Saturday type situation. We plan on mixing in like a meet and greet brunch bar crawl type deal on a Saturday possibly.
We're still in the kind of very beginning stages of that, so we're not sure a hundred percent on that one, but as more people are interested in coming to hangout Friday, that opens up a whole new game of possibilities to, spend more time with some pineapple people.
That's the goal.
Yeah, that's the goal. All that being said, we touched on a few things that we did on our sabbatical, we talked about plans for the future. What's really changed is our
selves.
Selves, yeah, yeah.
Ourselves.
Yeah. Our just overall
selves.
How we are seeing things, how we, we don't. Hold our tongues as much as we used to. We don't hold back. We used to be more, you know, angsty. Yeah, we're a little more angsty. Angsty. That's a good word. We got some more angst. I mean, for a long time, since we've been in this space, we've always been a hundred percent honest. Oh. But we are very, uh. Uh, I would say particular about our adjectives.
Yeah. Careful with our words.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
And
we don't wanna step on toes
or make it all uncomfortable. Yeah. You're afraid to step on toes or make somebody mad or, and I get it,
but that's why we have a podcast also.
Yeah. Also, that's why we have a podcast so we can kind
of finally. Say how we feel about things and talk about things that most people won't talk about.
Yeah.
And are afraid to talk about, and that's why people listen to the podcast and we've gotten told that a million times is that people appreciate that we are real. We're real people. 'cause we are, we are just normal. We're you, we're regular. Yeah. I mean,
I don't know how
many times
heard, oh, you're people, like actually the same people.
I hear that at least every single time I talk to anyone in this space is that, oh, you're the same. People that you are online, and that's exactly who we are, who we always will be, who we strive to be before anything.
Yeah, we've always said we're always going to be us.
We're not. We don't pick sides. We don't do drama. We don't get into all of the drama the,
as much as they try,
as much as they try. We have skirt ski skated around everything that has happened. I
mean, there's,
for the last five years,
there's the people that have tried,
people still trying to bring, still trying to, to bring us into that space and
we refuse to involve ourself into
that. It's not that serious. Don't make it weird. People be making it weird and people making it so serious. And that's been the theme lately, has been not so much, it's not that serious. Don't make it weird, but more of everyone's making it so serious and so weird all the time. Yeah. And we've n navigated divorces, marriages crazy. Just wild. I mean. Well, it's a lot of what we do is pretty, you know, scary. There's a lot of stuff involved.
Well, I think so when we started talking about this, we talked about how it would make or break relationships,
but we didn't really,
know, know
yet.
Now we're seeing the relationships
breaking,
breaking that didn't do the work.
The stuff we used to talk about and the things we knew. But didn't actually experience or see as as much. And now we're experiencing and seeing everything we've said, and we're watching that journey. People's journeys, and I know we say journey a lot, but it really is, it's a journey. It's a ride of, I think
part of it too is a little bit of a grief.
Yeah, more our,
our part because we connected with these people and now those people are going through this whole thing. They're changing their whole identities. They're separating themselves from everyone. So. We also have to grieve a loss on top of
a lot of picking sides.
Yeah.
Supposed
to picking sides we're supposed to be picking sides. It's like, no, I just want you both to be happy. A lot of navigating
that. Yeah.
And then people getting mad at us for not picking a side and it's people, be people and
we're, we've been doing a lot of work just recentering it around it's an us thing and this is what we do and this is a thing that we do together, we navigate together that we love to do together. And it got confusing there for a little while and it got a little messy and it got a little bit, it intense for a minute and there was a lot of weird things happening in this space and a lot of input and stuff. Bringing it back to center and bringing it back to why are we here, what are we doing, what.
Why are we even doing this? And I think that's what we've really been trying to figure out for the last few months, is just if we want to, and why we want to do, continue to do this.
I think why we keep doing this is the people we've met in the last, like literally we were there at Trapeze Saturday, not our event. Yeah,
yeah.
Tell, so day after our event.
Yeah.
It was, we literally. It had so many people saying, oh my God,
I love your podcasts. I just start, started listening to your podcast. I just started listening to you. I just found your account. I follow you on Instagram. I had someone while I was doing the wobble, while I was doing the wobble come up to me and said, I follow you on I Instagram. Oh my God. Yeah. And yeah, I had quite a few moments on Saturday and it keeps me going.
I think it's those people should
go and it reminds you,
it's a sense of responsibility and to, you know, I, I guess tell our truth, right? It's,
we keep getting told how much they can relate to us because we're normal and everyone says all the time, you're so normal, you're so regular. You're just like us. And I do think we do have this responsibility to maintain a voice of, for people that are regular, because
we are regular, neither either one of us has really met a stranger in our life. We treat everybody like they're our best friends and.
Yeah, we get it. We don't, it would take a lot to really like, it takes a lot to make us not. Not. Just not,
yeah.
A lot like we lowest lows, that's usually how we connect with our closest people is at their lowest lows.
Oh yeah.
And that's usually how we, you know, we joke, it's funny. Ha ha. But like, that's true. That's usually how we connect with a lot of our closest friends, is their lowest of lows. And, you know, We don't judge, we, everything's safe here. We have a, we hold a lot of secrets. We have a lot of secrets of secret and we hold a lot of people's truth. And you just kind of navigate and you try to be the voice for people, and you just try to keep this fire burning, keep this ship going.
You just keep, we're trying, you guys. We're trying to, we're trying to do the right thing. We're trying to continue talking. Long story
short, short, this is gonna be a season of truth. And honest opinions.
Gonna piss a lot of people off. It's
gonna maybe piss some people off,
make people uncomfortable. You're gonna be uncomfortable probably.
But we've said from,
we want you to be uncomfortable because
get comfortable being uncomfortable.
And this space needs to be uncomfortable. I think that it's time to shake things up. I think it's time to talk about things no one talks about. I think it's time to be uncomfortable and I think it's time to call out bullshit. I think it's time to talk about the stuff we're not supposed to talk about.
So here's my hot take is I think the last time this space felt uncomfortable is in the timeframe where we came into the scene.
Yeah.
Like we found the lifestyle. Shortly after that is when we got on social media and started to go in that route. And like we just, it was by accident, but we just kind of owned it and just kept on with it. And we saw the lifestyle OGs become uncomfortable, that we were public about the lifestyle. We're
supposed to be secret,
supposed to not talk
about. It was,
it was supposed to be a secret thing.
Everything's a secret. We're supposed to be quiet. No one's supposed
to talk. I think that was the last, last time the lifestyle as a whole became uncomfortable. Shifted. Yeah, and look at the growth that we've seen in it. So when the community becomes uncomfortable, that's not necessarily a bad sign.
Yeah,
yeah. Be
comfortable means be uncomfortable.
Everybody has to kind of readjust and acclimate to a new, you know, environment.
Yes.
And in this last round I saw a lot of acceptance. Saw a lot of men growth and guys coming out with their sexuality, I saw a lot of women be more open and talk about their mental health and the
pressure of being a woman
and a mom. The pressure of wife. Yes, exactly. That's what I meant by mental health is,
we'll talk about that. We have an episode we just filmed talking about the, we
talked a
lot pressure of being a mom and being a wife and being,
and so, and this is short, you know, four or five years where we've done this. Yeah, publicly. I've seen so much growth. And then in that timeframe, I also saw the stubborn people disappear.
Oh, a lot of people disappeared.
People we knew and cared about just,
yeah.
Vanished. Yeah, because they either. You know,
people don't like us talking about it.
Yeah.
It's a hush hush place. It's a quiet place. We don't talk about things and we're here to change that. And that's,
well, that's all we here. It still is a hush hush in a way where we're never going to out somebody.
No. But the things that need to be.
But when the
things need
to be
said,
a situation needs to be called out.
We're run and wrong.
We're roll it out.
Some things need to be challenged, some things need to be taken down. Some walls need to break it down and it's time. And I think that's what we're here for. And I'm ready for season four. Season four is going to be crazy. Can't even tell you what is ready to happen, but we are ready for it. We are open to it. And we are here for it. So we'll be here for the next 16 episodes, every single Wednesday. Make sure you're staying tuned and joining us every single Wednesday.

I know we have met so many of you in person and I can't even begin to tell you how much we appreciate you tuning in and wanting to hear more from us and supporting us and loving us. And thank you for navigating this wild, crazy journey with us. And being a part of our shenanigans. It's
been a ride.
It's been a wild ride, but we are, it's gonna get even crazier I think, as we go on. And yeah, we are just happy to be here. And as always,
it's not that serious.
Don't make it weird. Bye guys.
Bye.
