In 2015, I remember telling Leah, my wife, that I was no a political atheist. I was determined to removed myself from politics all together. That didn't last long. But a few months after the 2016 election I picked up Jesus Untangled: Crucifying Our Politics to Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb by Keith Giles. This helped me to put politics in its proper place. I need not abandon it totally, but I need not put more hope, time, and energy into than is helpful.
