If I'm being transparent, I need to give credit where credit is due. This credit is due to New York. Now normally, you know, I believe the West, but you know, not a hater. That being said, I do think and I believe New Yorkers would appreciate and believe the same. Like sometimes I've been thinking, man, y'all hella extra just every alli y'all slanging, it's just actually dead ass, Like why y'all all sounds so aggressive? Yo? You wile it right now, yo, dead ass? Like fam, why are you screaming?
Or I just think it's a loud city, So I guess, like and your son marks you know back in the Yeah, your son, Yeah, you're done and your son done? Like Fam, Oh you got Jill spark this LB Yo, dead ass? Yo, you o d right now? Just unnecessarily aggressive like happy sad, it don't matter. And if you've ever been up to Washington Heights, I want to blow my homegirls through lakey
uh and the hommy Rich Perez and some other hommies. Uh. I didn't get to go to Alex, but I know my dog Alex Medina, he works over at spring Hill, is an incredible artist, Like designer. Um now you're from wash Heights and I needed to confirm that I wasn't tripping, But I was like, who, I just feel like this entire city area culture it's just y'all crank the gain way up to forty five. Just I was like, why is you go into a restaurant and I'm like, I can't talk over the music. It's so loud in here.
It's four in the morning, you're on the you're on the stupid a hooka pipe. It's just so why is everything so loud? I was like, yo, y'all got no They were like, yo, that ass, Yo, that ass New
York man. I love it. But anyway, that being said, there is a phrase that they gave us that Honestly, I think there's like regional variations of the same sort of idea and and phrase that is perfect for this two parter of hoo politics here because it's there's two people that call for this, And honestly, I also think that the New York version is really the best suited. It's almost like you have to turn on a New York accent when you say this, because it's just it's
just so perfect. And the phrase is this Yo, Who's man is this? Hood Politics? Y'all? Who's man is this? Who's man is this? Who's man is this? Whose man is this? All right? Welcome man? And my voice a
little raspy. I uh. I started giving myself a more regulated schedule, so I record politics episodes on Mondays, um, But usually the first Sunday of every month is the event I host called Club Real Ones out in Long Beach, So probably once every month, I'm gonna have a really raspy voice when it's time to record this podcast because it's the day after and I'm really tired and I've been screaming on a mic over DJ's UM for good
four hours. If you're in l A area, you know we're even Orange County, you know you cally you should pull up on us one day. It's a very fun time. You get to see me in a different light. Rapper prop, not podcast or prop, but yo, whose man's is this? Now? Here's the thought. Let me see if I can tie this. And for people who have, like who couldn't already figure
this out? A lot of y'all probably already figured this out as far as like what we mean by that when you shout like Yo, whose man's is this you're talking to? And you can apply it to other people, you know what I'm saying, But generally you're talking to the people you know. Like if you picture the scenario, we're at a kickback, you know, you with the hommies and someone says some really extra dumbass ship or is
doing things that are clearly out of pocket. It's like or making some like super wild takes, just just stuff that like all of us know better. The thought is, I don't know who this guy is, Like why are you even here? So you're trying to figure out, like who invited this dude? And can you come get your boy? Because he wild? Y'all? Whose man's is this? Like who who brought him here? So it's almost like y'all are responsible? Whoever brought him here is responsible for this extra wild
dumbass stuff he's doing right now? This unnecessary? Why is this going down right now? Yo? Whose man? Who mans is this? And it's like because the stuff that they're doing is so extra out of pocket, I can't even address them directly. One I don't even know him, you know, I don't even notice for like, uh, you don't even go here? You know what I'm saying, like, who is
who are you? You know, I'll tell your story one of my home he's telling me about he had some friends from New York that, uh, it's so funny like Harlem, like so so much New York stuff. Now Harlem, you have to remember Harlem is also out here a gang. You know. It's not just at Borough in New York. But if you're from Harlem, you wouldn't know that. So essentially his friends were like following some girls, you know,
and ended up at this party out in Inglewood. As a rule of thumb, you're gonna end up if you're gonna go to some like kick back or some party or something, you're gonna end up like a house for full of full of blood, you know, because that's just that's who's over there. They're not the only people over there. But it's a safe bet. You know that you could be a rule full of blood. And if the dice can't kicking off you from New York, you know how to shoot dice, right, And the truth is you're probably
really good at it. Now. Of course it's a game of chance, you know what I'm saying. But if you had a party, you don't know nobody except for some girl you're following, which is already strike one because she couldn't been getting you set up, So that's number one. What is you even doing here? There? Baby? Some dude there that thinks she is his girl, even if they're not, it don't matter. Can be following some girl into this kick back in a city you're not from, in a
part of town that you're not familiar with. This is just you should not do this. But if you understand New York culture, how parties are like that, you just pull up, you throw hours party, throw the jam people. Just you're just there, right, that's that's not callie. We don't you're not welcoming in if we won't know you. You You need this who you know? Who you got over here? Who brought you? Like, all this stuff needs to be cleared first because we don't know if you're setting us
up anyway. So he's so he in the dice game and he messed around, start winning. So now Foods is upset because he winning and he taking all these dudes money. So eventually somebody stepped back. It was like, wait, hold on, hold on, hold up, hey, who know blood right? Because they're like, okay, first of all, we tired at you winning, but like hey blood, like hey, who know blood? And if he's like, uh, I came with some and say they're like you came with who if that's not even
her house? And then that now they now they said, hey, where are you from? And they're like, yo, we're from Harlem. Now them not knowing that Harlem is also a gang. Now they're turning up right, and I'm just like, oh, bor, like so now they now they're really banging on because you like, do who are you? What did you doing here? You can't be coming in here and just messing up the vibe. So then he was it was like, yo, man, I don't funk with New York and they're like New York.
He's like, yeah, the borough Harlem, New York. And they were like, oh man, we thought you was soda. They told him. But I have to say, you know, it's like, oh man, no, you know Harlem hood out here, like y'all can't be doing it. So okay, so you just visiting from out of town. Okay, that's different. They still have to run their pocket, but at least they're gonna like tell them hey, nah, homie, Like, this's not you can't just do that out here. This is different, you know,
this is this. But the point is they gotta hit with the California version of like hey who know blood? Or hey who know cause he who brought us? Like you know, and if somebody don't answer quickly like you feel of be in trouble and listen, don't let the media fool you. We're not animals, man. In the scenario I'm presenting to y'all, like, hear what I'm trying to say, You're gonna check first, like and then if it's a misunderstanding, it's just a misunderstanding. We're not not animals, you know,
So don't don't don't let them. Now that being said, if you're from the era I'm from, every time I hear somebody get on the TV and talk about the crime rate, I'm like, oh, no, fam it is Listen, y'all. Don't forgot the nineties and eighties. Now. I was a child in a baby and eighties, so I don't know, no, no, no, you know what I'm saying. But like the thing is, and it was crazy, is like the data does play out that like crime is going up, but overall it's down.
It's still less than what I know I lived through, like the numbers and just the sheer feel of see it like where I live. If ain't no way I should be able to just stand outside and water my grass like that's just normal stuff like that, like it during my childhood. Ain't no way, you know, we just you would not just go play outside as a child, fam you just but it's different, you know it's not. It's not what it was anyway. I'm sidetracked here. The
point is where whose mans is this is? Nobody understands your actions right now. This don't make no sense. You ain't supposed to be here right now. That's it's origin story. Now as it evolved, you could usually pull that card when anybody is just doing something like out of pocket. You're just looking like, yo, whose hands is this? What is we doing now? A less violent version of this,
I think is the guy in the club. But kay, listen, the brother in the club that got too much cologne on Kay, it just got the alcohol breath with too much cologne. All this coil closes designer, but their fake designer who just pushing up on every girl. You know you're running all the all the cute girls off because you're being too much. At some point you're gonna look at the creps like, yo, who's man's is this? Dog? Like? Yo?
You you okay? You ruined everybody's play right now? Like and you just taking els, just continual els, and you're causing the rest of us to take els. Somebody did, somebody go get your boy? Right? But nobody puts up worse numbers. No one does. Then the where's my hug? Guy? The ladies rocked up. He's like, hey, where's my hug? Like, Bro, that don't work. You're whose man is? This is asking all the girls where's hug at? You lose that ten out of ten elves? You're putting up numbers. You're making
the whole squad look ridiculous. Tom I, Hey, hey, baby girl, wear my hug at Nick. If you don't, don't sit down somewhere now, maybe after fifteen shots, maybe the sixteenth might work and you might get a hug. But big dog, you can't keep putting up these els like this. This is bad for everybody. When is you gonna get the picture taste? So Kevin McCarthy was putting up to where's my hug guy numbers, Yo, whose man's is this? Let's talk about it. Who's man is this, y y'all? This
man is this, y'all? Who's mass is this? Y'all? Who's is this? All right, we're back now. Sometimes sometimes it be your own people, okay, sometimes it be your own squad that'd be messing you up. Now, in Kevin's situation, it might have been like that. Now. Sometimes it's a good thing that you have homies that will be like, boy, if you don't sit down somewhere and shut your ass
up like sometimes you need a friend. I don't know if y'all saw that clip for that boy leaning over in the Matt Gates's ear, like leaning all close, and I was like, Yo, I'm picturing like gritted like mama, gritted teeth, just trunking you don't shut the funk up and get the lock it up and squaring. Do you know I'm saying. Somebody was like, come get your mass. But yeah, sometimes you know hung me like that that is wise enough to be like, hey, go get your boy.
And then when you go get yo, whose man is this you? Like? That's my boy? Man? I'm sorry, y'all. And then that boy put his arm around you and say, nig if you don't shut the funk up, dog like, you need to chill, just just just hold this hell sit down somewhere. So in some senses you do need that, right, But then sometimes you got homies that just want to see the world burn that might just be throwing shade at you, you know, kind of kind of taring up
your game just because they don't like you. Maybe they think you're not the man for the job. And for whatever reason, they may not got no plan B. They just think you ain't the man and for the job. And and it'd be your own people at that right there, if it'd be your own people, I'm sorry. This is like watching this vote for the Speaker of the House. Was It just sparked all these memories right here, like yo, this guy is to where am I? You just taking elves?
And then why are you taking these elves? Is your own people? Yeah, I gotta get your ship together there, man, Like, but you might be looking around, if you really into politics like this, you might be looking around at a bunch of think pieces that have like, no, you don't understand this is moved from funny to a serious problem. So what I'm gonna cover for the rest of this show is first of all, what happened and what are
the protocols, like why did this happen? And what its implications are as far as like predictions as to like is this bad or good? Is this assigned for the future, all that good stuff. So let's let's let's get into it. So here's the thing. Last year, I think it was last year, Well, yeah it was because it's Nancy Pelosi stepped down as Speaker of the House and civics one on one, right, So you got three branches of government, but the legislative branch got two parts. It's got the
Senate and the House of Representatives. Right, there's two senators per state, right, and then there's Congressmen that are represent certain districts, and I think there's four and fifty of those. The point is there's a lot more congress people than senators because each state only has two senators. Anyway, the Senate leaders the Senate, the Senate team captains are your Senate Majority leader and your Senate Minority leader. Right, they're senators.
That's a different thing. The House Speaker of the House is about the House of representatives. You follow me those this for Congress, but you need a speaker who is, in case of an emergency, the third in command. So if we lose the president, vice president takes over. You lose the vice president, the speaker of the House takes over, right.
And also the thing about this position is like, yo, you gotta be like super respected by your peers, even if they don't like you, they gotta be like you gotta be such a g and be able to like really really get it done because your team captain in a lot of ways, a lot of ways, you can look at it like that this is a team captain and like of of this squad, Like you gotta know how to like really get the stuff together, get people that really disagree with each other and people that actually
really disagree with you from both sides of the aisle. You may have people in your own party that's like which we just witnessed, that really don't mess with you, but they have to respect your gangster so much and understand how this thing works. Like, so you really got to be a boss. Like in some ways, you really
got to be a boss. And even if you're not like legit a boss, you have to like present in a way that says you really might be next you know, either you elect either you a legacy fool to where it's like my my certification is already so so so stamped because I'm good in so many different places that when I come into the room, I can make sure everything even if that's not my hood. Like they respect
me enough, you know what I'm saying. They're cool with me enough that they're like, all right, you know what I'm saying, Like, we'll listen whatever you got to say. You feel me, uh, and I'm able to go back, you know what I'm saying, and and in and and in my own squad. They love me so much, you know what I'm saying that I I can. You gotta
be really be able to get stuff done. You gotta be like really really respected or like I said, it's got to be a calculation to where like I need to stay on your good side because you might be you might be going up like real soon as a Speaker of the House. It's a very important position. Now you think of somebody like I've used this example before, like Mitch McConnell, who's like, yo, he's been like you know, Senate majority leader sent a minority leader, which is not
the Speaker of the House. But it's a like I told you before, like his position is such a position of power. It's such a like sifth lord position in the sense that I don't have all the drama that like the president or the Speaker have, but I could get stuff done in a way that like without needing
all of the drama. It's like being able to be like an A list celebrity without TMZ or like, uh, you know, tabloids, but you're an A list superstar, you know what I'm saying, Uh Billie Eilish level, you know, beyond say bad Bunny level. But you can still just go to a grocery store, you know, you can still
just pick up your your kids. You know. Like that's the type of position that like Mitch has, and in some ways the Speaker could kind of be like that but also have enough star power to where when you decide to come out and be like, yo, I'm gonna run for president, you got the respect of your colleagues, or at least the fear of your colleagues, and you could jump on. So it's a big position to get because one it's a stepping stone if you want to go further, if you don't want to go further. It's
really a position of immense power. So it's it's coveted now. So, as I mentioned before, Nancy Pelosi was the speaker form some January to January right for that session of Congress. Before that, it was Paul Ryan. Um. I don't know if you remember his name, and he was like one of those dudes I was creeping on a come up, you know. Uh. So from two thousand seventeen to two thousand nineteen, Paul Ryan was uh and you know, basically Trump kind of ended his career. Before that, it was
Speaker Bayner, Um, John Bayner. You know, that was two thousand thirteen and fifteen for that. Look, Nancy, it was two thousand nine and then before that like Dennis Hazarded and then back to like nud Gingrich back in the nineties, which was again so if you look at like some of these names, like these names were like yo, these
were big names, you feel me. Like Paul Ryan like for the Republicans as it were, was like yo, he was a young, little up shot right until like I said, until you know, Trump broke the Republicans, you know, uh, I mean it was it was Fishers already there, but like the man broke them, you know. So uh, Paul Ryan lost any opportunity because he was you know, he didn't know what to do with somebody like you know, and it just it broke him. And as you see,
Nancy got elected twice. Now, say what you will about her, but that what that means is like the respect of her peers is like really up there, like they know, like her kind of strange, eccentric, super old head ass, like they respect their gangster, you know, whether they like or not. It's like, look, man, she do what she do. And it's easy for me to criticize any of these people from sitting here in my um in my office, you know, with my bonnet still on cover, in my air,
you feel me. But their jobs, like you know, as much as I dragged them, their jobs is really hard. But the way that our democracy is set up, I'm allowed to drag them. I'm allowed to call these fools because again, like DJ Head said, like y'all watch it, I fun with you. You You know, you're gonna have all this power and authority you need to like show improved anyway. Now, generally it's a no brainer with whoever party has the majority,
the speaker is from your party. Right now, as absurd as our two party system is because clearly there's four parties up there, right you have you know, traditional centrist Democrats, which are like Republican light you know, and then you have progressive Democrats, and then you have the Republican Party, which is just the run of the mill, wonderbread, white bread Republican, and then you have cuckoo for coco posts Republicans. Yes, that's what I said, because I don't know what the
hell some of y'all be talking about, Like this is absurd. Listen, okay, listen, dude, Q and on is not real. And the fact that like something, I just don't know what the hell else to tell you, the fact that we don't elected people that is down for the calls. It's like, look, I don't know what to tip. My homeboy, Darren dun came over and he said it it was an interesting thing
to say. He was like, look, if I revote Republican and let's just say I'm in the front of the line, I have to look at the back of the line that I'm standing in and see the clan, you know, it'd be like, uh, they're in the line that I'm in, you know. So he's like, I just this is what just because we're in a two party system, that's part
of the situation. I said that about, you know, a long time ago, about having like, you know, extremely gangster, extremely violent cousins where I'm like, I know we share the same grandmother and that's I'm not gonna ever not ride for my family. But yo, like it, I don't know what to say. Man, that's the end of the line they you know. And so it's a great like point he's making to where it's like because of the way that our governmental structure is set up, Like you
stuck with him. Yeah, when when the other lie, when the Republicans look back and or when the Democrats look back and they go, ya, who's man's is this? Y'all gotta be like, Yo, that's my bad man. That's hard. Yeah, that's our dude. Like that's what you're supposed to be. Like, Yo, that's our dude. Uh damn making you right? You know what I'm saying, Who's man is this? Who's man is this? Yo? Yo? Who's man is this YO. Who's man's is this YO? Who's man's is this YO? Who's man is this yo? Yo?
Who's man's is this Yo? Whose man is this Yo? Who's man is this yo? Who's man is this Yo? Now another thing for this position is like again, when I want to define what I mean by like, yo, they really respect you. It's not that these people think you're smart. It's more your ability to hustle. Because again, nobody, I know I've said this before, I can't stress this enough. Nobody is arguing the merits of whatever bill they're trying to get past or not, Like what was it there
to a good bill? Or not? No, they're like I need something, you need something? How can we both get what we want? Or if you need me to vote for your thing, what you're gonna do for me? Then that means you're gonna vote for my thing. And if you're voting for my thing's gonna mess you up with your constituents, then that's your problem. I'm not gonna vote for your thing because that's gonna mess me up with my constituents. So what do we do? How do we make this work? Was the speaker's job to get get
all that stuff worked. This is so it's not the too smart, it's that you hustle, you understanding bargaining chips, you know. And this is where like dark money and lobbyists and all this stuff come in. You feel me. And why if you're a speaker like you gotta be tapped in with everybody because you're gonna know who in everybody's ear, you know. And obviously people are wild cards. You can't really predict what they want to do and
what they don't want to do. And then you got this like this bizarre force that is Donald Trump and the MAGA, right, that's like and even they divided you. Seeing Bobert and Margie Taylor Green on different sides of the coin here is like, yo, this is an interesting fam So anyway, this position here is not elected. It's like a public election. It's it's it's elected by the by the Congress themselves. Now, Congress can't do nothing until
you swear in a new speaker of the House. There's nothing we do, no laws or passed, no none of is, no budgets, no nothing, We can't present nothing. You can't do nothing because nobody gets sworn in for this session of Congress. Until that happened. Now, normally, like I said, it's a no brainer. Whoever party in charge, you pick your dog, you put them up. You get the majority of the votes because you got the majority in the Congress,
and that's it. Only this time the majority of the Congress were the Republicans, but at least twenty of them was like, we don't mess with McCarthy, which is really ill because McCarthy and Trump Dude, and even some of the Trump dudes which they called the Freedom Caucus, they not down with him either. And here's the problem with McCarthy. McCarthy started off as a centrist. He started off as like a regular white brand Republican, and then eventually as
Trump got famous, he started riding for Trump. And this is what I know. This is what I know. It's cool when somebody started believing you and started enjoying your side. But a little bit of respect is lost. Just a little bit of respect is lost. Listen, I'm gonna give you a strange example, but I'm telling you this. It really compares. Last week for New Year's I hosted like this. Uh, I do a lot of hosting of like music events.
I was hosting this one for you know, sort of one of the underground like hip hop scenes out here, uh project Load, and there was like a ton of rappers. They all wanted their shine, they all wanted their spot, and obviously the stage was running late. Now, for some reason, there's this belief that the host is also the stage manager, and it's also the person that can like have a time machine in his back pocket to make sure that
like everything is you know what I'm saying. So like, since I'm not the time since I ain't got a time machine, really, I just gotta paper with names written on it, and I'm just saying the names. But that's not who they're taking their aggression out on. They're taking the aggression out on on on me because again I'm the guy saying the name. So there's this assumption that, like, I'm actually also the stage manager, but I'm not. I'm
just I'm passing on information. But in this scenario, because of the type of personalities I'm dealing with, there has to be this dance of I mean, which is essentially just customer service that like, I hear what you're saying and I want to validate how you're feeling. Right now, there's not much I can do about it. I'm gonna do the best I can for this. There's really not
much I can do. And I think you and I both know that, Like, bro, I'm not gonna I can't just cut other people set because you want to go on now, like there's like you know that, but you also know like if you got seniority, you know what I'm saying, like and and and there's at that point there's nothing I can do. Now. My option is I can either be like, yo, it's above me. You can speak to my manager, you know, or like me call one of the other O g s and be like,
I don't know, Hey, this is what they're saying. But if I do that, like it's in customer service when I get back on the phone. These people got these people understand it. I ain't got no authority. You ain't got you can't get ship done, Like man, give me that microphone. You know what I'm saying, So like that would be will have I would lose control of the stage period because they realized that like one that could bully me into like you ain't calling no shots. You
gotta control. We could do what we want because you don't know how to stand Joe ground. Even though I'm challenging you and I want you to back off, I also respect that you didn't. Does that Do you understand that when you make too many concessions, nobody respects your geister. You just want the position too bad. And if that's the case, I know I can run you up and down this court right now. I could run you up and down this this Congress because you make it too many,
too many concessions. And what them concessions are going back to the Congress is what do you need to give these people to make them vote for you as the Speaker of the House, Like you give me something, make it worth, make it worth my while, because I really don't like you. And what was crazy about the freedom concusses They didn't have no other person. Now there's a side note as to how they started voting for this for this black Republican, which really felt like you just
mascotted the black person. And I'm I'm gonna I'm gonna go ahead and let that slide because they had no intentions on having this food actually be the Speaker of the House. They were essentially turn that black man into a mascot. Now, side note I feel like at this point you should know better. You knew what you signed up for. Brother, But that's what they did to him. But that's not what this episode is about. This episode is about who's many, right. So McCarthy was the shooing,
he was the guy. Then they started voting and he lost the first vote. Where's my hug? Okay lost the first vote. Then he lost a second vote, then he lost third vote, then he lost the fourth vote. And what was crazy was the Democrats just kept voting for Hockey and Jeffreys. They're like, that's our dude. They was all in one of court. It was republcase that was all over the place, and it's like they couldn't get that.
They that Look, look, I know McCarthy would be your own people, right, People like Matt Gates was like not f that food. And then look look they almost went to blows. Y'all see that, y'all see what they almost with the blows? Oh man, that was so funny. This boy, Mike Rogers lunged at his colleague. Now, my wife saw this clip and she was like, yo, the real one is the that held him back, you know, to put his hands over his mouth. That was like, you don't
say nothing, you ain't supposed to say. That's a real one. Yeah, that's true. Man, the person that holds you off in the club from punching his food, Like, that's a real After the fourteen vote, now listen, y'all tired man, And especially at this point, the whose man's is this? Switches from Kevin McCarthy to these fools who just keep just salt in the game, Like, Yo, whose man's is this? Man? Like, look, fam, the hell is your problem? You ain't got no other? Like, Yo,
who's man is? Man? Come get your boy? And you see picture of of Margie Taylor Green trying to put somebody on the phone. She clearly her phone show DT which is Donald Trump? So Donald Trump on the phone right now. Basically there was like, yo, come, can you come get your boys? Man? Like what to tell him? Was telling him what's good? And they're like, man, I ain't trying to talk to that fool. Man, who's man's?
All fourteen of these man's is? This? Just absolutely frustrated because it took fourteen votes for what was gonna go down anyway, finally win down because nobody had any other nobody had any other choices. That's the part that probably frustrate everybody, and most was like, well, NIGGI, you was gonna win anyway, we might as well get what we want.
Now here's the game. If you as a Democrat, you'd have been watching all this and been like, I'll change my vote what you're gonna give me for it, right, because clearly you ain't got enough of your own squad to be on your side. Now it's like we're playing the game because again we knew it was inevitable, dog like you were gonna be the speaker of the house, like it is what it is, but maybe I can get something out of it. But the Democrats ain't make that move. They tried to stay in array. Who made
the move was the extreme side of the Republican. Now, I'm gonna tell you what he had to give up to get there. But I think it's super dope. We're not super dope. But I think it's a really interesting quote that he said at the end of this. He was like, yo, don't judge us for how we started, judges for how we finished. That's what Kevin mccarthife said.
It was good we had this disruption. Now so now we know how to work together, is the way he's spinning this, and he's like, hey, man, I want to thank Donald Trump for coming out here, and like, okay, I'll see what you're doing. You setting yourself up for
I feel you. But on the other hand, that Broyd Tony Gonzalez, right, uh, Republican senator was like, look, the speaker vote was probably the easiest thing we're gonna do for the rest of this Residents to the session, like you see this, We're down, and I'm gonna say why this went down this way again, because it's like, you just showed that we could bully you because you just wanted the position so bad and now we can get what we won't, right, So what are the concessions he made?
Basically after the vote. What happens is after the vote, and if you lose, you go to the people that didn't vote for you in your party and you be like, yo, what's good, bro? Like, what do you need? Here's what he said he need? He was like, and here's the many things that he said. They said, Allow one member to call for a vote to out the speaker. Now it used to be a lot more than one vote. Now just one fool cannot feel what you're doing, and they could vote to get you out like got dog.
Now you look, you want a razor thin line here. Uh. They said that McCarthy a line pack won't play in an open seat of safe primaries, meaning if there's a if there's a Republican guy who's about to be primaried. Um, he's not gonna try to like run any of his homies. Right. Uh, He's gonna hold votes on key conservative bills. Right, he's going to the death seiling hike paired with spending cuts. He's gonna move twelve appropriations to bills individually. Now this
is a big one. So appropriation bills are like this. When you have a law or a bill or something that's gonna become a law, you have a bill being put to vote right by the legislature. What usually have pens is you put a whole bunch of other bills up under the big one so you can kind of sneak them in, and the opposition side usually cause that
like a poison pill. So it's like, if we're gonna vote on you know, abortion rights, but that abortion right bill is tacked up under a bill about I don't know jaywalking, that we're gonna remove the fine for jaywalking. Oh and we're gonna legalize abortion again. You know what I'm saying. So like you you you you put these like big things in innocuous things, or the vice versa, you put innocuous things inside of big things so that you can get a lot of stuff pushed in it.
Once the Republican is like, na, Doc, We're gonna vote on the one issue and only the one issue, right, And the last thing they said is we want more freedom concuss members on the Rules committee. So he was like, okay, okay, if y'all do all that, will you vote for me? He could no longer pull to whose man's is this card because he actually needed them man's And if you do that, then I'll cease to be to where's my
hug guy? And stop getting these ASLs and get this position great one Now, implications one side is saying, which is what I think it's happening, is that like this's gonna be You think the Congress been dysfunctional thus far, you feel me it's gonna be dysfunctional thus far with a coach they don't respect, or with a coach that is willing to just bend and fold and hopes to hold on the power. Listen, you got a coach that
the team punks family man talk about dysfunction. Also, the realness is the concessions you made yo them only the concessions you told us you made. We don't know what else you said behind closed doors. How many handshakes you've been made on some stuff that like you can't really make public, but you had the wheel and deal you can won't know what them things are and we ain't gonna know how any of that blazes out until later the other side of this says, it's no, like the struggle,
the dysfunction is a built in feature. It's supposed to be like this. This is how democracy works. You fight for what you believe in, you you and you get to consensus. And as McCarthy says, it's like, dude, now we know how to do it. It's like, look, man, this this eventual, this this early struggle was really really hard and we were able to get to a consensus. So now it's like we know how to govern, we know how to work together because like we went through
something really hard. It's like we're trauma bonded. That's the way he's spending it. I mean, you tell me, all I know is you had a room full of people yelling whose man is this? Right? Back and forth at each other. But at the end of the day, Kevin McCarthy, you know what I'm saying, Speaker of the House, good luck, my boy. Now, while all this was going on, there was another young man sitting over in the corner, sweating
bullets but really trying to keep it cool. A rookie, somebody who has not yet been sworn into but was facing one of the strangest situation, his very own crisis of yo, Who's man's is this? That man was George Santos And we'll talk about him next week. Who politics, y'all, y'o, y'o.
