Okay, ain't nowhere in the world you surprised the Royal family is racist. You not finish it across from me virtually and tell me you ain't think the Queen of England and the Royal family was low key racist, not even low key high key. There's nowhere in the world you ain't think that. We're talking about a little island that conquered damn near the whole planet. You don't think they as you serious. The question is why does it matter and why should Americans care other than just tabloid joints.
And this is why you should care. It's because old heads get annoyed the politics. Okay, listen, my homeboy z out on a Lansing, Michigan He civic Northwest do but he in Lansing, Michigan, married, met a young lady, got married, moved over there, and became a Midwesterner. That sounded pejorative. No, his wife and family are incredible. I love them. I just meant he it was better for his family to move to the Midwest anyway he started it. That's not
the point, oz. The difference between an O G and an old head and the differences mentorship, you know, investing in the ones behind you to to lead them in a better way. That's the difference. So which is which? So the O G is the one that is investing in the youth, is willing to move and happy for where you're taking the culture, where you're taking the set, where where you know, I feel like the futures in good hands and wants to like, you know, guide them.
You know what I'm saying. That's your O G s. You know what I'm saying. And O G is If you don't know, this is short for Original Gangster Um. Sometimes I forget some y'all don't even know what I'm talking about. But the O G is it's short for it. Just like people don't know LBC stands for Long Beach Crip. Like every time you know I'm in the LBC, it's like, no, you're not, fam Are you on the east side? Right now? You're in North North? You know you're not. You're over
there with the Longosh. You know. Anyway, So the O G, right, they invested in the youth, you know what I'm saying, invested in the in the younger, the b gs which we would call like the baby gangsters. You know you you invested in these dudes. You want to see them, you know, take the set further than where you are. Like, I like to call myself a O S one millennial, you know, saying like I'm a iPhone one version. You feel me? Uh? I love where the where the tins are.
I love where the new iPhones are doing. You know what I'm saying. They're doing stuff I couldn't imagine. I used to be a battle rapper, but I'm like a I'm like a t one, like a Terminator one battle rapper. I'm I'm I'm out here like Arnold Swarzenegger battle rapper. I'm not like the liquid ones that these new dudes. I'm like, I love where you're taking it. I'm not trying to I'm not trying to take nothing from y'all.
You know. I think it's dope. I think it's dumpe that they get like thirty days to you know, learn everything they can about this dude and just give hell of personal and right these three minute raps like this crazy, These three minute raps that you gotta memorize for three rounds. That's wild to me. Like that's not how we used to battle. We I mean, we're freestyled. I didn't know this dude. I mean I saw him every week, but
like I didn't know him. I had to take what he was saying right then and turn it on his head and make fun of him. Like, but as an o G, I'm like, that's dope. Take take it where you take it, where it goes, push the culture forward. An old head is different. The old heads is like, you young niggers don't battle, right, how come now that y'all are freestyling? This ain't real hip hop? Right? They just met the greatest hip, the greatest repper loves. You know.
Those were my old old heads, the ones that I swear that came. Nobody rap better than Big Daddy Cane, you know, Mr. Pot. People talk deep talk like if you ain't rapping like rock him, nobody rapped better than rock him. Like, come on, bro, He's just an old head,
you know what I'm saying. And as an oh GE, you can honestly be like, look, yeah, man, I'm not into the mumble stuff, you know, and I mean mumbles over now, you know, But I'm not into like, you know, just this high compression you know, kind of sing songy, you know, just this like sad boy songs that like rappers are doing. I'm not into it, but I'm not mad at it. That's the thing. You know what I'm saying, Like do it, well, take the culture forward? You feel me? Uh?
I want to invest in you. I want to tell you, hey, man, like listen, it's just a bad look to wrap over your vocals when you live. You feel me, like, you know, learn the raps and like you know what I'm saying, and and spit your bars. I know, I know it's not maybe not your thing, but like let me connect you to a longer narrative. That's like, yo, I'm handing the culture to you. You feel me. But the old head is like he's young, negatives, corny, you know what
I'm saying. What happened to rapping? Why? What the hell? All this skinner chains? Like the dudes that are like just salty about everything. Those that the old heads, you just want stuff to be how you remember it. You got to a era and you're like this is it anything past? This is lane But they do that without any investment into the young dudes. That's that's like the hip hop version of it. The old heads with the gangsters is like I don't know about these net bangers
y'all out here on you what y'all? You know what I'm saying that the old mobsters that are like Stanny Younger, so flashy, so you just just you forget the code, you know, and um, rather than being like man, invest in them, teach them to code. You know. That's the old head. Some of this stuff might be also generational. I feel like I've raged again to becoming an old head, because again I come from an era hip hop that,
of course I loved. I mean, I came up in it, but I refused to wear some throwback jersey and have my my my fitted cap cocked a little bit to the left. You feel mem it's some cut off Jinko pants. Yeah, I was saying talking about real hip hop. Look you look ridiculous, bro, Like just look, man, I'm not trying. I'm not telling you to dress like a kid, but I am saying, like, hey, man, like you could keep up.
Find something timeless, I feel like for me, you know, Chris a crisp white T shirt, you feel me some Chuck Taylor's some pants to fit, a little button up flannel like it's timeless, you know, Find something that's timeless. You know some Vans Cortez they're timeless. You feel Pere Jordan's. I don't know, like just hey, you ain't gonna be no old head. And your Air Force ones getting the stomping in your R Force ones, got the bluetooth coming off your year. That's Those are the old heads for
our uncles, like the Spice Adams. Hey, Chuck, what's going on, Chuck? You know, just got the leather sandals I needed, I need to paint the picture for you. Those are the old heads. There's a way of life that they are used to and they're trying to preserve that. Understand, the idea of conservative and progressive are their relative terms. We're all trying to conserve something. So when you say conservative,
like conserving what right? When you say progressive like progressing from where what I'm saying, they're they're there, they're relative. A lot of the ideas out here that I have, you know, as a quote unquote progressive, it's like it's only progressive in relation to y'all. You know what I'm saying, Like these ideas I have, I mean now they I mean Canada do it. So it's not that progressive, right, the bastion of forward thinking that is Canada. Like, what
is you talking about? So it's not really that progressive. They're not extreme. It's Canada, does it? Like? It's not? It's not that serious, you feel me? So I think that you have to understand that these things are there. They're relative right to where to your to your location. Right. So when you're a conservative, you're conserving something. I think all of us like you're trying to protect something. There's there's a way of life that you're like, I want
this to last. But maybe that land, that section of life, that time, that era you got in your brain that you're trying to conserve for the time might have been progressive, you know what I'm saying. So all these things are relative. Now what that got to do with the Royal family and why should you care? So? Uh? The Queen Oprah had an interview with Um, one of the royal family members, just Harry and Meg and Marco, you know, the Dutches to Sussex, which was such a gift to all black
people to call it the Duchess of sucks. So we could say no, if you buck um, go ahead and google Nook. If you book. You know what I'm saying, and so much happened there. Now. I opened this up saying, Okay, if you're surprised that they racist, I don't know what's wrong with you. While you you're talking about it, you're talking about the monarchy that exported slavery to us. You surprised. You're talking about the little island that conquered India, that
exported itself to every Indigenous You surprised. You surprised they racist? Are you serious? That should have been the easy part. The hard part to me is the colorism side to where I'm like Megan light as hell ship, that's a red bone who comes from money. How she's not good enough? You act like she up there looking like Viola Davis. You feel me? I was, And I'm saying this in of course, I don't hold to the colors and stuff. I'm just saying, like, I can't believe y'all worried about this.
You're telling me if you saw the interview the queen worried about the complexion of the child. You're talking about this light skinned girl having a baby with a white boy. That's like, I mean, he clear white. You have to set up saying that boy get his son burned from the inside. You feel me like he'd be inside the house and get a son burned. That's how white that boy is. And they feena have a child. You're worried about that child's complexion. Ain't nobody gonna know that that
baby mama black? He lighted? He lights Hell? What is you worried about? Y'all pitching out here picture they're gonna give birth to Tyrese. You know what I'm saying? That boy Ford looked like a con. Is that what you think? Hell wrong with y'all? Anyway? That part again is not so much surprising. The racism not surprising. But why it matters is the old head versus O g situation. The
monarch represents a way of doing things. It's they are hearkening back to colonialism, the age of exploration, the empire, building of an empire, the regalness, the the the supremacy, if you will, of our might, our manners are way of life. We are preserving a way of being in the world. You subdue the world, the pomp and circumstance, the the respectability, the the regal nous, and that regalness, that game of Thrones. If you will, not as in the movie or the series, but as like the actual
concept the game of Thrones. If you will, you you expand your territory, You subdue the world around you, you bring it under the crown because it brings the crown glory. And everyone is supposed to fit in place, and all of you that are around the crown, you are supposed to walk worthy of the office that you have been given,
that it has been bestowed upon you. And in a lot of ways, the way that they're processing things is supposed to be like will this whether it's a commoner, because if you think about how they treated Diana, which of course I mean there's some some strangeness about that, but if you think about how they treated Diana, who is this like lily white lady, but she was a philanthropist, But she wasn't one of them. You know, she's not cut from our cloth, she's not worthy of our name.
It's a way of life. It's an ohhead hip hop is supposed to be like this. The world is supposed to function like this and that way. If if I'm gonna go into the psyche of the way that the crown, if I'm gonna personify the crown and the royal nous or the monarch of England. You still low key salty about America leaving. That's an L. You took an L on him America. You know what I'm saying. You know you have the British West Indies. You got like I mean, I got home. I was real close to a Belizian
family who referred to me as a commoner. Her mom was like, why are you out here acting like a commoner? And I'm like, oh, what a commoner? Okay, it's the British Empire. They used to have tea time. And I'm like, what you're doing in Belize and its tropical paradise having tea time Britain? That's what you know, said East India trading code right, the you know, the royal part of of there was a time that South Africa was British, you know what I'm saying, before the Dutch got there. Right.
So it's this like wherever everywhere we go, we make it ours. So you are supposed to walk as if this is coming to America and the land that you stand on as flower rose petals placed upon your feet. What you out here acting like a commoner for marrying one of the peasants. No, there's a there's a structure for life, and it's supposed to fit a certain way. This new couple, Megan and Harry, Yo, they represent a
different way, Harriet t three. Now this ain't no, this isn't a tape recorder saying that I'm vouching for Harry. I'm just saying he represent a different way of life. These people are more media savvy, these people are more global. They're not out here trying to like He's like, I'm not trying to conquer the world. Family Like I met a I met a brown skinned girl, fell in love, brown skin girl. You know what I'm saying, He met a girl, fell in love. I'm just out here trying
to you know what I'm saying, do my thing. I think this tabloid thing, that's an old way of doing stuff, trying to preserve this way. I'm not man, there's a there's a better way to move through life. And you know what, speaking of tabloids, I honestly think if I'm gonna get again get into the psyche of like the royal nous of this monarch here, I wonder if the idea of these tabloids that just dragged the royals is this way of their way of culturally trying to keep
them humble. It's like you gotta you gotta knock them down. A little bit on Behind the Bastard's podcast, we talked about what they used to do with like the Roman generals, where like he after he'd win a war, he would go and they would have this amazing parade where he would go all the way down and people would throw rose petals. That it was the most amazing like ceremony.
But then there was a guy that stood next to him that just whispered in his ear all the time, like you know you're gonna die, right, so I'm gonna kill You're gonna die. This ain't gonna always be like this. It's a way to keep the food laying low. I wonder if the tabloids out there, somewhere in their unconscious that's why they do this. Either way, Harry like that's a bullshit, So Harry like kick rocks man, this ain't life. Why I gotta stay here? You know, like we got ideas.
And then once you get a lady, once you get married up, once you get booed up and then you got a child. Now I got a child, And there was a moment I know in my own life where I was like, I love my mama, I love my daddy, I love my sister, Like that's my family, my day once. But here's the thing, fam You're not gonna spake ill about my wife. No, no, damn that, Doug. You're not Finnna Like, hey, you ain't forn disrespect my wife at least in my face. It's just not gonna go down
like that. This is a new this, there's a there's a new set of priorities that kind of like pop up. You feel me. Here's a funny story. Well, me and my wife got married. We are our original marriage ceremony. We just did at the courthouse, like and it was like an hour after I got engaged. It was was not a game. We did a wedding later, of course, But after we got married at the courthouse, I called her father and her father was to tell him like, yo, this I had asked before I did the whole thing,
like hey, you know, these are my intentions. I love I love your daughter. I want to marry her. And he was like yeah, dude, I think it's dupe. You know what I'm saying. Um, But he didn't say it like that because English is a second language and he's not a rapper, so you know he's he's said it in his own way. But after we got married, I called him and he said, are you everything you pretend to be? Is it what you pretend to be? And I went, wait, pretend? Hold up. At that point I
was like, okay, okay, time out. I know this is I know you her father, I need you to understand something. Though I got parents too, I was raised away that ain't nothing fake about this? What you mean pretend? Hold up? Like, don't let's not start this relationship like this. You know what I'm saying. That's what I thought at the moment.
My wife is on speaker phone, so she hears this and she goes, wait, wait, pretend and then she then she says, just like you know, say like and then she was trying to like like what do you what are you trying to say? He goes, he goes, oh, yeah, I'm say And then so he asked her like what he was trying to say was is this all that you wished for? Is? Are you have your dreams come true? Are you is this a fantasy? Like? Are you is this? Does it feel like a fantasy come true? And who
would I tell you? I breathed, breathe this side relief because I was like, man, please tell me this ain't going to be my relationship with father in law because kick rocks nigger. Yeah, I'm saying, but it wasn't. Praise the Lord Almighty, it wasn't. But yeah, it's all that to say. At some point, some kicks in in your brain that you're like, yo, this is my family, these my children, and yes, I will cut you all off if it means to keep my family safe. You feel me,
And that's what he did. So what I think we're witnessing here the racism easy. What we're witnessing here is a clash between an old head and the O G. The O G willing to invest. So my question over there is, okay, So which one of y'all willing to invest? Is there? Is? We've been itching a pone this change into the guard. I think Brexit is a part of this too. At some point we're gonna get into brexit fully. Uh, Which is the ugliest breakup I've ever seen in my life.
You know what I'm saying, like, y'all, look man, just break y'all that this is a toxic relationship. You feel me Like, y'all need to figure this stuff out. We'll worry about that a little later. Um, just the little hood couple that'll be fighting in the yard, you know what I'm saying, Like all the time I thought they broke up, they broke out last month. I don't know what they're doing. You know what I'm saying, just fighting in the yard all the damn time. Right, I can't
figure out who pay for what? You know what I'm saying, Who dog is this? Who who gets the dog? What about the couch? I paid for half the couch? Cut the couch and half? What are you talking about? This is ridiculous, you know what I'm saying. Who you know? We got this? We gotta we gotta airbnb. We share, so who get to use the Airbnb? Like god, dog man? Like this breakup suck man. Y'are tripping and you ain't even gotta break up, Like you don't even have to y'all.
Just toxic because that's the Brexit stuff. But anyway, I think this brings into question a lot of foreign policy that happens with one of our biggest allies. It's are we gonna be old heads or we're gonna be o gs? Things are changing, dog, things being changing. There's a new way of life happening. And the question for Britain in their imaginary psyche and then as they move forward, is the age of colonialism? Is the age of imperialism actually done?
I honestly think that's the question being asked right here at this age. I'm talking about, this age started in the fourteen Hunts. Because America is a product of this, so is almost almost all of the nation states in North America. We somehow are another Let me tell you something. There's only two countries in the world that have never been colonized, Ethiopia and Thailand. Dead serious colonized by the age of colonialism. You understand I'm talking about crazy right.
What I'm trying to say is is we really really done? And I really think this needs to be the question in the imagination of the future of the UK. You gotta think about the world different and I wonder, I wonder if this is the beginning of I want to say unraveling. Because the empire be striking back, But I do want to say I feel like y'all have a question. Y'all gotta ask yourself. Are you o gs or you
old heads? Because now it's countries all over the world after watching that interview saying you know what, we really need to rethink our relationship with y'all. I mean the UK, I mean the royal is gonna get canceled. What are you gonna do when this interview affects your foreign policy, your relationship with India, your relationship with the with the Caribbean States. Again, we're not delusion or y'all being racist, or you wouldn't be our you wouldn't be our colonial overlords.
The question is how are we gonna relate in the future now that we know you drag a ble yo? When you when you kind of boss moving like that. The last thing you want to be made clear is that you drag able. Did you not know you can get touched now that we know nobody's safe, because that's another thing that this showed. It showed that ain't nobody safe. You wouldn't even y'all wouldn't ride for your own grandchild. They just showed us all how y'all move now, y'all.
Y'all a protect prince Andrew, you know, raggedy ass because Andrew apparently follow the line you tell me. What you just told me was nobody's safe. And if we challenge you, this would go on. But you dragon ball, you ain't gonna ride for your own grandchild. They they said, hey, look, this happen with your grandchild. We're not gonna protect you. He don't get no secret service, he don't get none of this work. You're only ride for your own family.
So what I'm gonna keep paying these tariffs and taxes to you for If you wash your own grandchild work, you o g or you are all head. All heads just want things the way they were. Oh jees will read what's happening and be like, if I'm gonna stay relevant, if I'm gonna be a keeper of the flame, I need to invest in these young heads. I need to I need to download some wisdom to these dudes, and
then maybe we could keep the culture going forward. Another way for which America needs to think about this is our term limits with our elected officials. These people be seventy eighty years old, not giving up Senate seats, trying to trying to take America, trying to preserve either their own power or a way of being, rather than being like, man, there's some young shooters out here. Maybe I should fall back. You know what I'm saying, Like, play the all. I
don't need all this stress. Let me play the o G role. Find some of these young shooters. Invest in these young dudes who can be hitting these campaign trails, working eighteen nineteen hours a day. Do you remember when they was Finna, when they were uh confirming the election back in January? These people stayed up till four in the damn morning. Can you imagine your grandmama staying up till four in the morning. Hey, my grandma fell asleep
during the news about seven thirty eight o'clock. She would make you make our dinner, be on the couch snoring. I try to turn off TV. She'd be like, I'm watching that. At you a challenge, hurch, Grandma ain't play six or seven rows out? Since Los Angeles ain't play. I just wonder if we have built, even inside of ourselves, a system of preserving old heads rather than developing O
gez little politics, y'all. The show was recorded in East Lows, East Los Angeles Boil Heights by your Boy Show mix and mastered by the one and Only Matt P. Salski, scored also by the same Matt you just heard, uh, and the theme music by the one and only Gold Tips Gold Tips d J Seawan Heat. And we got an announcement coming up pretty soon about the future of health politics. I just signed some paperwork because it's gonna get let you feel. I'm saying we made anyway. We'll
keep y'all posted until then. Just remember politics, y'all. It's just gangbanging in nice suits. Pretty about everything knows that. The old head oh here, oh here, oh head,
