First of all, before we get into the analysis and maybe translating whatever is going on, which I'm pretty sure, like I don't know, it's not too hard to understand what's happening right now, but I want to acknowledge first of all, Like, uh, like we said at the top of the last episode, let's not forget that, like occupations are happening all over

the world. You know, multiply this situation times Saudi Arabia and Yemen times, you know, Southern Sudan times, just pick a place in Africa, like these these things are are constantly a part of what's actually happening in the world. I think, Um, something that I keeps happening in the news is this feeling that this particular situation is somehow special because it's Europe. And you've heard correspondent say, hey, this isn't respectfully you started with respectfully with all this.

This is in Syria. You know, this is an Afghanistan, this is a and they can't finish the sitting because they realize as they're talking what they're saying almost like

oh no, no, finish that thought. It's a who why it's a white nation and you just somehow this idea that like because of you know, the end of the Card War and the birth of the you in and and after all the World War twos and and and all this good stuff, that somehow another Europe is in this like place of and the birth of the EU Europe. Europe somehow ain't susceptible that they somehow they you know, they nose is better than everybody else's nose. So stuff

like this don't happen up there. That stuff that happened to go ahead, finish your sentence. It happened to brown people. Happened to black people because we are not as go ahead, finish your sentence, advanced and civilized as Eastern and Western Europe is as what this what you're trying to say, we used to seeing that down there without any sort of like interrogation as to why that situation is the way it is. That situation down there is the way

it is because of European nations, because of imperialism. This is what got the global South to become the global South. But like not being able to connect those dots now all of the solidarity across sort of the Western states or the Western nations in this situation in Ukraine. Of course, Listen, let's not take away from how absolutely bonkers this is as to the fact that it's happening. I'm not trying

to all lives matter this thing. But what I am trying to say is part of why I believe this particular situation has captured the imagination, you know, in the worst way possible of the Western hemisphere is because these people look like them, you can relate to them. You're like, well, they're they're just like us, which is the textbook malady of what privilege does to you. Because as a person of color, I'm relating to all of it. I'm relating to the suffering of the people in Ukraine and the

people of Yemen, because that's what being oppressed does. It develops a level of empathy. And that's the problem. You can only empathize with people that look like you. That's the difference between you and me. I'm gonna get off my soapbox now, let's start talking. Oh wait, wait, one most soapbox man. I'm pretty sure my man, Jake han Raham. I'm not saying his name right, but I just like the way Jake got a barreltone. Jake's voice was made for radio and podcasting. It's like that guy, like I

want him to do all my commercials anyway. Uh, Jake had this tweet about like, hey, I'm pretty sure you know the children that are sheltering in basements while their city is being bombed. Uh, really appreciate those takes about the media is selling us a war like that really helps way to make it about you like that? Like, so, so let me get off the soapbox again about Yes, the media is crooked, yes, disinformation flies, Yes our hands are dirty, but don't make this about you, okay, Like

the media is selling you a war. Did tell that to the person who's actually experiencing the war, like sometimes you know what I'm saying, Like the old folks at our church, you say, man, you know you need a little bit of shut mouth grace what is basically means

Okay, So boom putin last last episode, we talked about it from his perspective, mostly from Russi's perspective about their grievances and how you know he's still salty about that l from the eighties, you know what I'm saying, and the tactic of just bum rushing these fools right where they like they can't handle this type of pressure for this long. Ukraine ain't bigger than textass like the sides of Texas.

You know what I'm saying, Like you can't handle this type of pressure. You feel me? If we all I'm rush you. Now, let's talk from the Ukrainian perspective. Listen, you remember on the episode to shut then up you ain't gonna do sh episode Uh, we talked about the rules about when you're about to be jumped and you might catch this fade or maybe if you like love they're gonna fade us. We're gonna take some casualties. But what you're gonna do is make sure like y'all gonna

remember me. What I'm not is a punk. What you're not gonna do is just roll up here and start me out. I've then told y'all stopped playing with me. And one of the dopest things coming out of this is you know that you know the person that just know how to mind their own business, that when if no matter what's happening outside, they're just looking out like dog, that's crazy, man, Yo, y'all, shouldn't they're fighting again? I mean,

I don't know, Homi Like that's crazy. I mean, that's all y'all. Though Switzerland, Switzerland don't get into nothing. There's even a phrase, Yo, I'm man, Look I'm Switzerland about it like that basically mean like, look, I'm staying out of it. And in most situations, and that's kind of the smartest thing to do. You just like listen, like like the black folks would say, like and there's a whole thread of like different ways that black folks say

which is really really dope to see. Now, another way these sanctions is working is you start messing up with the money. You start messing with the money here. One thing you know about puttin in the same thing you would know about any bullies, especially especially like like like a killer gangster, like like Putin is his moves. He

even think about these moves for a while. Right. The problem is when you get so vindictive and you've been thinking about these moves for a while, you get so hyper focused on the plan that if someone throws a monkey rich in it and it's something you didn't think of, it starts bruising your pride. Putin got money, So when we put financial UH sanctions on him, it's not like he got dull and reserved. The man been sitting on PhotoPass UH couple of years, six hundred and thirty billion

dollars in savings. It's in their bank and some of it is just like it's in gold bars. He could easily just go melt that down and cash it out. But the Central Bank, there's this program called Swift. Swift is the program that essentially it's the language, it's the nervous system of international banks. It's the language that all

these banks use. So the beauty of that in a normal world is the fact that, yeah, when you land in Bogata and you want to transfer, you want to go into an a t M and transfer your dollars into their pestles. It's not a problem because they're you know, the bank's kind of speak the same language. In this situation, the the central bank basically sits in the US. We could delete this nigga password and be like, dude, dude, that sucks. Bro, you got six thirty billion dollars in

the bank, too bad. The bank don't understand your card. That's crazy. Your card don't work. No mo, that's crazy. We can't pull up your account, it says the accounts locked. I don't. We can't get into it. You got all that money, you can't get to it. That's a sanction, and that's a hard sanction. That's one thing that people's is doing. That's one thing we're doing. Another thing we're doing is Germany out here sending weapons. They send it.

So they're the ones that are like yo, while while Ukraine scrapping, I ain't gonna jump in, but yo here go away here going back right, Poland taking refugees, although that's a whole other scenario about like why you're not taking black and brown refugees. That's a whole other because racism is an international sport. And then one of my favorite parts of the story. Besides the Switzerland part is just the beauty of the war effort. You gotta did

this agreeing to not send track suits to Russia. They're gonna do their part. You got the Judo and Taekwondo Association decided to strip Vladimir pooting up his black belt. Whoa listen, everybody thought, They're like, well, look everybody throwing They're waiting. They're like, look, we got your back. You create Ukraine Like okay, cool. Can y'all throw a punch though? Y'all mind throwing a punch? You feel me like, thank you for helping, but like, yo, can you throw a

I appreciate you Switzerland not just staying on the side, but it'd be cool y'all threw a punch, though, the problem is everybody else who could throw a punch looking at their family, like, yo, would you would it be cool if I throw a punch? I know here in America? Were like, hell no, there's no will in America to send American truths to this. We've been in too many wars. That was none of

our business. You didn't burnt that bridge. We didn't see that's what happens when you should have stayed out of stuff that you really ain't had no parts of it. So when there is a chance to actually do the right thing, you didn't burn you, don't you you're the nation to cry wolf, Like you didn't messed up. You didn't burnt me too many times? Nothing to die for another country's war. Like even if it was like yo, this is like dang, that's kind of a thing. This

And if you could just like stand your ground for long enough, it's gonna freak them out. They're gonna be like, dang, this fool can take punches. Why is he not down? I've never seen this mean white people in my whole life. I understand how this works. I know though, that where I'm from, he should have like five other dudes with him if he's gonna talk to me like this, because you don't want to go head up with me because you that's not smart, especially

because this boy talked too much. But he used to talk too much. And I just remember thinking, Doc, if you man in my hood where I'm from, bro, you got smacked. A while back, he would just chip at me, chip at me, Chip, Happy Chip, Happy Chip, mappy. I'm little. I've been listening. I'm a buck fifty soaking wet. I've been that for a while. Like I don't, I don't,

I'm not listen. I don't let it like I come from since the way that I was raised. You can't somebody hit you first. I'm so light, I can't take punches like that. Stuff ain't fun. I'm I'm a lightweight, so hell and i eve gonna fight fair with you. If you get close enough, I'm firing on you because I can't take the punch you might throw. And I'm and I'm throwing everything at you. I'm I look, I'm I'm choking, I'm scratching, I'm i'm, I'm hitting where the

Some guys make the calculation of like, yo, I'm a ride with this, pick a winner. And a lot of times when you pick a winner, especially in a situation like this, is because you scared that you next. So the safest move it is to just make your peace with this dude, enter Belarus. It's not hard to understand

what they're doing. They don't want this to happen to them, so they're playing nice. Better you than me. If somebody's gonna get jumped, I'd rather you get jumped in me. I don't want this fight, so I just, you know, let me just keep this man at base. Some people

do that. I understand that again from the block. When I was in high school, how in the I there was a rather large Polynesian population in our area, just smoing, tonguing, just Pacific Islanders, and in our neighborhood they were bloods now. I've said many times. Being from South Central I was from the correct part of town, didn't gang bank, so I was free to move about the country. But blood

is this community of people. So I understand what Belarus's doing. Look, I'd rather than be friends that have to take this smoke. Ukraine. On the other hand, we wiped the ships because ultimately, if you want to will end it here you Craine fighting for their pride in their life. This might just be another move for Russia. Russia got this endgame, which is it seems pretty obvious to me. They're trying to rebuild their hood again. They're trying to rebuild he like

he thinking him. See he fancied himself as Czar Nicholas. The second you understand what I'm saying, like he going back to the Tzars. I want the uss I want the Soviet Union. I'm trying to like I'm building the kingdom out this mug and you just another move on the chessboard. Ukraine, on the other hand, this is a fight for their life, so the calculation is different. If this person doing just another move, the other person fighting for their life. You see where the heart come out.

And I really think that's where we're witnessing. We'll see who else jump in. But at the end of the day, what you're gonna really really no.
