And the thing is, you know, I'm competitive, you know what I'm saying. Uh, But like I said, man, if you understand it, you

understand it. And ultimately, more than I am competitive is that I would love to see more black people, more brown people having prominent voices in the political space, like real recognized real. And let me tell you something. I recognized the sister right here, y'all, man, recognizer her little TikTok. I don't say love and like I say little like like black people say, like, hey, little music doing like we an't mean it like you're not doing your thing.

It's just like that's just why black people talk. Her little TikTok got millions of views of her doing what we do, just in a shorter form, and I love it and I'm not a hater. I'll bring foods to the table. We try to keep dopeness in front of everybody, Ladies and gentlemen. This is the sister A B A k A. I am legally hyped three chuck it hard for what's up? All I'm doing is translating for so I kept getting damn these TikTok's, these videos about the sister that was like like doing this, you know, and of course, like you know, your first reaction is like whatever, you know, that can't do it

like me though, you know what I'm saying. And then so then you know, once you get over your pride, you start looking, you start listening like she she doing the thing and I and what I loved about it was the way the way she was doing she was doing her you know what I'm saying, And that's that's really what I appreciate it. For my undergrad I have my Masters and Criminology Society, and then I am in law school currently um at Southwest and Law School Downtown Los Angeles. Yeah, that's the little young restume for you. same thing. Moved around a lot. I lived on the East Side though, so we was on the border of for y'all to I say this all the time on the show, but if you if you new to it, like East Side is bordering South Central and Huntington Park. Once you get in the Huntington Park it's percent Mexican, you know. So I spend most of my time there. We went from there to STV tow the Sange Valleys. So like a part of the part of why you know my rallies seventy third six seven Sanpedro east Side.

Know what it is what I'm saying, Um, but in my particular situation, like was I lived with the Vatos. You know what I'm saying, That's that's where I lived. So you know, there was a little bit of um almost like uh like almost like a Borderland's kind of experience with me. So I've had to learn how to traverse uh, different types of environments and understand sort of like the code and language, the rules. You know, how

you move, how you slide in between. You know what I'm saying, and um, you know who to make friends with, who the who to steer out of? You know what time when when it's time to slide you I'm saying, when it's time to actually calling the favor and understand if you call the favor, you go old favorite. You know what I'm saying, us coming because what was gonna do? And we getting this car? So what's up? That's cold? So you so you already know you know what I'm saying.

So like you know, so you know so people like me, like I said, like we always say what you you made it very clear, like when you if you're from here, you know, gangbanging is unavoidable. Whether you was active or not, it's unavoidable. You have to you have to know what you're talking about because it's gonna affect your life in some way. And that's what I feel about also about politics. It's like it's unavoidable, whether you're running for office or not.

You're I'm saying, like I gotta understand for the sake of my life, how you move what you do exactly. Yeah, so you said criminology, social science, tell me one more time. So my masters is in criminology lawn society. Okay, So that's so you so so basically sins the no she talking about like, you know, I've had a little bit, a little bit, you know, I had to sprinkle a little bit everywhere. I love it. I love it. That's what I'm telling you. Man, like this, And what's crazy, It's like there's so many people like us that are like interested. So my undergrad was illustration and inter cultural studies, and I did masters and education and social science. But then I taught so I taught though in Pomona, So I taught um high school out there. I taught East Lake. I used to teach in the juvenile halls, you know.

I used to teach it afoot ball rocky. So like you know, we we when you when you're from here, you know, and you learn how to like speak dominant culture language, you know. For me, sort of the light bulb turned on when I was like teaching these like these these little hood kids and Pomona, you know what I'm saying. It was like, and I'm trying to teach them.

It clicked first with World War Two. I did teach in World War Two, and then I was like, you know what, it's kind like it just kind of kind of just like clicked, and I was like, oh, okay, you know what I'm saying. And then I just for for the next like six years, it's just a ti history. Um that's dope. So so so tell me how to

tell me? And and and I wanted to I wanted to prep I wanted to start to start the pot with this because like you know, when somebody go viral, like a lot of times, you you know, you you kind of make that person small as if like it's only that you know what I'm saying. And I'm like, like she a whole lawyer, you know what I mean, Like, let's let's just you. It was late to this because he was like, I'm at work, homie, like does not

have age, like job, Like we're working. So uh so tell me about the trajectory of you, just like TikTok's to the news, you know what I mean? So, um, the news is something like politics is my thing. Um, then I'm really into I actually started doing content and initially UM to support my brother. So my brother was wrongfully convicted I think years old. He was sentenced to fifty years to life for a murder he did not commit. Um, And so my last fifteen years I have spent that

time sort of fighting for his his justice. And so essentially I started by life just putting out information about his case. And um, that's when I first had gone viral, probably about like a year and a half two years ago, and I wasn't ready right, Like I didn't like I

like that. You know, people were like hitting me up like what can we do and who can we talk to bout blah blah, And I was like I don't know like I'm just saying be like I just wanted somebody to be like, Okay, we're gonna help you, right um. And so that's kind of like the premise of my

whole journey almost right. Um. In addition to that, like I said, I'm really into politics, news and stuff like that, so I will always tell my friends different stuff like oh did you hear like this going on with And my friends were like, girl, I don't plan touch the news, like I'm not getting my stuff in the shy room, right And I'm like, like you need to know what's popping up, Like how do you know who to vote for? With you? They're like, we get it from you. Um.

So it's right. So when I um the initial like the Ukraine Russia video, the one that popped off a couple of weeks ago, really it just came from my space of like I'm gonna just put it out here, like I was talking to my friends. How they pick up on it, you know what I mean, and then we'll just go from there. I never thought it was gonna take off the way it was gonna take off, Like we got like eighteen million views on TikTok right now, Like I never thought right, um, and things just kind

of progressed from there. So from now, I'm like, okay, y'all listening, Okay, well let me take you a little bit more. Right. They're taken enough away from us, so let me put a little bit out there. Let me sprinkle it on you. Um. And so I mean I've just been doing my thing ever since, like kind of consistently from their Yeah that's dog. Yeah, It's like I

love that. I love that, Like it came from a like you know, and that's that's that's something that like I is why we need more you know, black and like poc uh creators because it's like it really comes from you don't come from it comes from something that really happened, you know what I mean. Like this is really from somewhere, you know what I'm saying. Like, So, I mean again it's saying for me, I didn't just come up with a podcast idea. I was like, no,

I'm I'm teaching locked up kids. You know what I'm saying. What a terriff is. You know what I'm saying, Like I want you to understand what a midstern election is, what zoning is, what you know what astro turfing means, you know what I'm saying, like trying to explain to this kid, like, hey, you can make a call right now and you can have forty fifty heads on the street right That's called political power. That's what that means. You know what I'm saying, Like, that's what they buying.

They're buying this. You got it. So I'm like, you know, like yo, I mean, I'm like, like, man, if we on board enough people, you know what I'm saying, then I ain't got a lobby. I ain't got a lobby. My elected officials, we are are elected officials, you know what I'm saying. So to me, it's like, you know, I just like I'm I'm I'm I want us to have that, which is the kind of the same thing as like man like speak, these people are not smarter

than you. That's like my my, my biggest thing is like I just need everybody know these people not smarter than you. They just speak a different language. They're not

smarter than you. You know what I'm saying. And you actually do know what you're talking about, because you know, I like us going you know, you and I going to a traditional educational route, like we had to um, I know, for me, I had to like go back and redeem some of that stuff, Like I put away a lot of the things that I knew just from growing up where I grew up, you know, and had to go And I thought that that isn't intelligence, you know what I mean. I was like, oh, street smarts,

that's different, you know what I'm saying. But then getting into the academy and being like, I don't, I don't. I'm I'm you know what, I'm smarter than these kids, you know what I'm saying, Like y'all, y'all don't they don't. They don't know what they're talking about, like and and the like, which is what we want to do today. And it's like, you know, getting through my like getting through my my my social science and like history track.

Even if I didn't know what happened, I just know goons and would like and I'll tell you exactly what I was like, let me tell you what happened. And I'm like, I don't even know if that's I don't even I didn't read it. I didn't read that. I didn't read the chapter, but I know how gangsters move, so I'm like, let me tell you what they did, and most of the time you'll be right because gangsters. Yeah. Sure, so that's dope. Okay, so let's let's let's get to it.

This is gonna be fun because I rarely get to like really bounce these ideas off. Somebody just be in my office like cracking myself up. You know, I'm here for it. I'm here. Yeah. You know what I'm saying that, like this is something we actually do, you know, and being able to you know, read the lick, where the sack going, what's the move going? Who who's going here? What? You know? What's the mission? Bla blao, who gonna be there, who're not gonna be there? And how we make our decisions and and and and why we're able to be like look, see there, I tell you what I'm telling you. You know what I'm saying.

So we're will talk about dealing with bullies. Now, clearly the bully in this situation. Yeah, if y'all y'all follow us both, you understand that we you know, big bad food needed need a bully here. He didn't decide it like I'm like you. He he fashioned himself Zar Nicholas the second like you like you know, we I'm going back to the I'm going back to the Russian oligarchs. Tond me like this, like we rebuilding this mug, we're kingdom. You know what I'm saying. I'm still salty about the coward.

You don't get to just say it's done, like somebody just woke up. It was like the crips one, like wait, hold up, you can just say it's over, you know what I'm saying. So, so we know what's going on here. You know a lot of moving pieces on the thing.

Um clearly his move of like I'm gonna bum rush these people because they can't handle it, you know what I'm saying, Like I don't know, and and and and again, like I'm just setting up to talk here, like you know, if you if you rush somebody with everything you got, it is because you don't think they can last long. So I'm gonna wear you out so I don't I don't have to have a lot, you know what I'm saying.

where we got here. And then we got then you got China yelling from the side like hey, you hear that. You see that the fools trying over there just like lying on fools, like hey, I heard I heard America. I heard America got biochemical weapons. You hear that that's crazy? You hear that you won't let them throw them weapons on you, on me? Like and see that's so, I

see China. The messy did coming up. See the MASSI did comenty I don't never want to get their hands study, but they'll be trying to start up a little hard a little bit like okay, let me see if I get the little homies, the rough one a little bit, Let's see who really got hard? Right? So you got are you trying with somebody on? And that's a little China, make it right now? Mind you China a little bit bully too, because that everybody are messing with Taiwan like oh, well,

you know, if you you can't handle it. And I wonder what little tights I gonna do? You do you understand what I'm saying. They still they're still dealing with the smoke with Hong Kong. No, I'm said so like so to me, I'm like, yeah, over there looking at looking at Russia like yo, that may be the move. But but but the thing, but the thing it was interesting is like to think about it like that Hong Kong just like Ukraine where they like look bring it,

please come, please come, please get these hands. Scared of you? I am not scared of you. We're gonna run a head up to what you want to do. I'm here for it, head up, head up, love it. So so here we go so we're gonna use our antennas. So you're dealing with bullies. Uh, if you were to say to yourself, you got a goon like this? What are what are some of the what are some of the tactics. In my mind, I'm thinking it's like it depends on

what your end game is. But I ask you this, so like use your antennas, what what do you what do you suggest? I think you do what you're doing right now. You basically head up because the bigger they come to, howder they fall, right, Um, And I really ain't gonna mess with you if they feel like it's something like like you're not gonna do nothing. You gotta think like nobody's gonna rob a poor person, right because

he's not gonna get nothing from it. So you're only gonna mess with somebody you think you're gonna get something from. So I think in this case, like you gotta stay down long story short, And they're proving that right they got no heart a little bit. I don't caring. Nobody said. I ain't never nothing, nothing, nothing, never seen a big homie president, nothing, get down on the front line and be like, okay, well I'm gonna fight with the with

the other folks right at all. And I think right now, like if you peep game like he is scared right because he's not really getting his way to thought the way. He thought he was gonna get his way. He thought he was gonna pull up over there on the block, snatch his stuff back, and it was gonna be over with. He wasn't expecting them folks to have the type of heart they got. He wasn't expecting them to get down. How they get down. People are coming from all over

to help them out. To not granted, America is like, we're not sending no soldiers over there. And I don't blame us because our soldiers dightning. Thank you a little bit. Yea. They and fight and and to me, I'm like, I'm like you even you might even be down. But that's like your mama looking outside, like, don't you go out there in that fight house. Stay in the house, a little boy. You you you keep running out like how many versions of how many black people have? How many

versions of? That's none of my business? Like there's some that look, that's none of your business. You shouldn't have been you know what I'm saying. You did? But I'm like, at this point, when you've got somebody that unhanded, right, that's that's off the chain, Like, yeah, what else do you do besides put him in his place and be like Okay, so what we're gonna do is we're gonna drown everybody out if that's what you want to do, because it's more pride than anything. You don't even have no purpose over here. Because even if you come over here and you take this hood back like you think you're gonna do,

he folks up in here and messing with you. So now you're gotta watch your back every move you back, and you feel me and you they straight gee with it. I don't care what nobody say, like, yeah, they got say issues and I'm not a hundred percent on their team, so I've seen how they was going black folks, but still you feel me like they are straight g with and they're like, you come over here, all you want to you can take whatever pieces of land you want

I live in East l A. Now, so me being like, you know, every once in a a while year to chopping you here to do do do do, And I just be like, oh, that's crazy, like realizing that, like I live in a way in my own brain that I'm just like, it just is what it is. I understand now as a full grown adult. You know, a parent that I'm like, well, you have your PTSD. You know, I don't know that, but that's what that is, you

know what I'm saying. Yeah, But but the part of you that's just like the heart that they have in the sense that, like listen, rust have been on the borders since two thousand and eight, they just look at some point they was gonna shoot, you know. And and the thing is, we knew it was coming. We didn't think it was gonna come like this, but we knew it was gonna come. But don't get it twisted. But I live here, you know, I I really I resonate with that so much in the sense that, like, you know,

I'm like, I'm not gonna listen. I got cousins I can call, I got friends, I could call, but they twenty minutes away, you know, day thirty minutes away. This is the route I walk home, jo hood whatever. But I'm not walking twenty minutes out of my way. This the route I walk home. You whatever, you know. Then we then then we fighting every day. That's just what it is. I'm not You're not. I live here too. That was like at the end of the day, I was like, listen, I live here to you. I'm not

gonna run in my own neighborhood. I'm not running in my own neighborhood. I live here too, you know what I'm saying. So that part about like that part about them, I just I get it, No for sure. It it's like you gotta think like when you live in the neighborhood and you're not affiliated, right yeah, Like I don't even try. But at the same time, it's like, man, I'm looking at this dude trying to run, and I'm like, man, like Carlos, Carlos, Carlos, bro we was you don't remember? Like, And so when I think about, like, you know, the the the ethnic connection even between Russia and Ukraine, it's like like they those are your cousins, you know what I'm saying, and like, and I can even imagine them looking across from the Russia dudes being like what why are you fighting for that? Man, what did you doing like with that man that hood don't that man don't love you. That man don't love you. Yeah, which that

man don't love you. Love yourself, love yourself. Baby. So yeah, so you gotta go head up. There's I mean, like, you gotta go head up. You gotta throw fade you. And I think you brought up something really interesting about America being like we don't have the political will to get a part of it. We can't call it no no fly

zones because that's basically a green light. Like I get it, you know what I'm saying. At the same time, though, like I I wonder if we're dealing with somebody like food and you have to like make this man understand, Like I need you to look at the entirety to South America and remember that we take down regime's we we we pull triggers like I we right now, we don't have a political will, which might be the difference between American and and Russia. Russia don't care what his

Russia don't care what the public things. No power right, sob like. So that's why I say, like, he's like the Debo right about when you think about Friday and you think about Debo right running the street and got dollar the first ain't gotten a job on a bike. Guy don't even belong to him, right, He really not know real power, But he hadn't stilled that fear in the neighborhood, right because the sizes or whatever the case

may be, because of what we think he got. Yeah, but truth be told, when it came down to it, right at the end of the day, when Craig and Debo scrap, what happened, it was he and Debo got knocked up out because he didn't really have what he tried to make the world think he had. Right, they can't cut off all your resorts essentially, you can't try it with nobody, Like you can't go nowhere. Somebody got some bread that we can't find. It's in cryo or something,

it's in bitcoin or something over there. Right, Yeah, and that's who running the shots because it ain't no way, ain't no way, because you got the whole face out here for the world to see you out here looking like a straight goofy. You didn't put your whole country in jeopardy kin of the weirdo. So to me, I'm like, you you you that's exactly what I'm saying. That's the antennas.
