Speaker 1

Well, let's let's put it back, and let's put it back in hood terms. Right. So, when the nineties, drive bys were everywhere, people was doing drive bys just to do them. And then I'm not gonna say what organization it was, but there's an organization that runs the prisons in California, and that organization sent the word down and said, no more drive bys. You show up in here on a drive by charge, you're getting it drive by stop because they realized that that you're killing innocent people. It's

not cheap. It's not cheap. It's not cheap, it's not boss staying there like that came from Rick Ross. He's a an American rapper that I'm about to kill your magic about Welcome to the Politics, Episode three. It's already I'm already flipping up the format for a number of reasons.

One because the news is psycho. And then two, I had this whole thing planned out about tariffs securing the bag that I was gonna do, which I did with the Patreon At some point, I was gonna do that one with this one, and it turns out my guests couldn't come. Number one, and then number two, I was in New Zealand, which if y'all follow me on social media that's where I was, you'll know this is like my second thing I'm doing. I'm saying like I still

gotta put food on the table. And thirdly, Bamboos the interview was so good. There were so many extras that I wanted to put out, but it wasn't long enough for a whole episode, so I had to kind of build this around a the news that's happening right now, and then be some of the extras that Bamboo had dropped this first half. Essentially, it's just gonna be like a dump to explain what's happening with this dog on impeachment. It's like I have to remove the metaphor for y'all

to understand what I mean. Times somebody's like, d m me and be like, can you explain what's happening? And what's happening is the moves of a bousse and then we're gonna click back to Bamboo from last week. I asked him a very specific question as a veteran about how he felt about drawing strikes. It's very interesting to hear from someone who was in the streets and in a war um kind of just what he thought about this. Get a little information about Ricky Rose as to why

this makes sense. Now. Ricky Rick Ross is an incredible, very accomplished rapper. There's no getting around his mogul nous in hip hop, but there is getting around his persona.

It's made up. He was a correctional officer, he worked in a prison, he's he's a cop, and his whole drug kingpin persona is this guy named Freeway Rick Ross, who was an actual So all the stories he talking about him being from the streets, is really that dude, And for some reason that had no bearing on the success of his career personally, because the guy's voice is incredible, and I'd be lying if I didn't say that, like, Ricky Ross can wrap his tail off and songs kind

of go and too, because you know, they just don't make them like you and me, no more like I like my drug dealer rappers to have actually have been drug dealers. And if that wasn't your life, I prefer you not rapped like it was. However, when you're a puss, you get to do these things, whether you got the blood in the streets or not. A matter of fact, we did a whole episode on something we called Performative Hood and his two seasons ago on Our Parents Pod

Uh The Red Couch. Anyway, y'all go check that out. It's pretty cool. Performative Witness. Anyway, let's go in Hood politics Tuesday of the first week of February and the defense and prosecution in the impeachment trial of the president. They're doing their closing arguments. Now. The super Bowl just happened, and if you've ever like been out of town, you had to record the game. Um, so you kind of already know how it's gonna end, but like you still want to watch it. That's kind of like if you've

been following the impeachment, that's pretty much it. Like we kind of already know how it's gonna end now unless a weird twist of fate happens that I don't know, lightning strikes pretty sure my man is gonna get acquitted because, like I called before multiple times, bosses don't go to jail, but bosses also leave a trail of just scorched earth and scorned homies who are all sitting in prison or lost everything they knew and love because they wouldn't roll

on the boss, right, and then the dudes that don't talk keep their mouth shut get rewarded. That's pretty much trying to peach right now. So here, let me see if I can try to like put this together real quick so you'll can understand. We can move on here, bamboo talk check this out. It would be like this. Somebody said, yo, you did the thing, and then the dude goes, not, fam no, I didn't and no one saw me. You're like, wait, you didn't do it or

no one saw you? Yes, but what about those three dudes? They saw it? And then she was like, well, I did nothing, but yeah they saw, but they can't talk to y'all. But because they're not allowed to talk to y'all anyway, even though I didn't do nothing, but if I did, they couldn't talk to you because it's not allowed. Well that's weird, um okay, but if you're telling us they could clear you, why don't you want them to talk? And the fourth dude raised his hand and says, wait, no,

he did it. I saw it. I'm actually writing a book about it in about a week, about a month, do you guys, you guys want me to talk? Can? I mean if you tell me to come, I'll come. So it's almost like Tommy commmmmm com if you tell me to come, or I don't know, I was there. No, he can't come, right, So that that guy is not allowed to talk. So so you got three actual witnesses that the accused is saying, can clear your name, but just off general principle, off the principalities that boy ain't.

I ain't gonna let them talk because it's the principalities of the situation that's the defense. Defense is basically saying, listen, dude. It went from he ain't do it too. Even if he did, it's really not a thing. Right the president thinks a re election is in the government's best interest, then maybe a person's motives can be mixed. Was he maybe it was a little bit of A and B right that he was trying to get his personal gain with this whole Joe Biden you know, investigation, and let's

be real, Joe Biden is a little crooked. I mean, that's something we should be looking into. Anyway. Come y'all, y'all want witnesses, Why you ain't calling in Joe. I'm trying to tell you there's something going on here? Right? It isn't everybody's decisions kind of in their own personal interests. I mean all my people in relationships, you know what I'm saying, Like, if you you get something for your

significant other, of course you love that significant other. How also there is something in that me right, And I told you all before two seasons ago. Again, if you could make the case be about motives, that's something you can't really prove. And why are we still not talking about Joe and a hunter? Right? That's the defense the prosecution is going is this is this bizarre world? Are you? Is you serious? Demand right there? Just you just told

us three people saw it. Why ain't you letting them talk? This don't make no sense to me. John Bolton, who's a war monger himself, don't let this guy think he's a hero. John Bolton going, he triggered happy, Yo, I'm trying to tell you the man did John Bolton like the little boy that's got the big dude behind him, you know, just standing behind the big dude going like, hold me back, hold me back, bro, hold me back.

You're glad they're holding me back. Man, I'm gone. So it's like you low key kind of scared to talk, but I know you can't look like you're scared to talk. Yeah, I'm saying, and he's both playing a game here. He like, Trump told me directly that's what he was doing. I'm holding up this money. I'm holding up this money until they do this Joe Biden thing, all right. William Barr was nervous too. William Barr was like, Yo, this boy

Trump selling selling favorites to Turkey and China. Man, I'm good, right, But it sounded me like, wellyam Bard, either he got some skin in the game or he just knows the code where it's like, I'm just not gonna talk about you in public like this, but you're in private, man, what are you doing? And the prosecution is going I don't understand how this is a defense. Your defense is whoever says I'm wrong is lying, that's your defense. And they like, you're trying to tell me, Hunter gotta conflict

of interests. Huntur ain't work for the government. What about your children who do work for the government and it's making money off this. Don't understand how this is your defense. But since you get to set the rules for the game, you ever been on the playground, somebody trying to play kickball, and one dude get to pick all the rules for how to play kickball. I mean, we already know how this is, indeed, right, So I mean basically that was

the last six months. I didn't do it. But if I did, those foods saw me and but they're not allowed to talk. But if they did talk and I did do what you're saying I did, which I'm not denying I did, is that really a high crime and misdemeanor? I mean, is that was I serving with my best interests or my own personal interests? Isn't aren't we all functioning in our own interests? Boss? They don't go to jail? Well that's that. Also quite of a boss move is

for Trump to be continuing his normal days as usual. Uh. Meets with Benjamin nettan Yahoo who also on trial for corruption. Right about about a piece plan where half of the people ain't invited to the convo? Yo, how many y'all going through marital counseling would be okay with just the husband and the counselor deciding on the plans for the marriage? Pause do what I won't? Just continuing to move through time and space as if nothing's happening because bosses don't

go to jail. Well, there it is. That's your impeachment. And be honest with you on our house to cut it, except for the the boss moves you mixed. You got the judge and the jury in your pocket because they're afraid for their own future if they don't give you the result that you say you need. Boss, whether he got any blood in the streets or not, it don't matter. He's a boss. That's the president. Now that you're caught

up on the home front, what about abroad? I know the news stopped talking about the drone strike in Iran that killed sulimani Um and someone would try to convince you that that means it's died down, tempers have gone down, everything's okay. I just don't believe that. All of my hood antenna's tell me that that's not possible. Plus, I mean, at the end of the day, we're still talking about war or anything all the way going back to nine eleven.

Have y'all heard of the document that even made drone strikes and all of our war on terre like legal. It's it was the authorization of military force and most of y'all know, like war has to be declared by the Congress, right, I mean most of y'all should know that. Like basically, it's like we were talking about last episode with BAM, which is like, hey, before you just go shooting up stuff, man, you gotta like talk to the

O g S first. That's how Congress works. But they were like he said before, Hey, if we heard somebody who's going to ride, do you mind if I just pop whoever comes around the corner. Essentially, that's what the document says. It's sixty words inside this whole thing. There's this delpe like radio episode about this whole thing and how this got in there. But I'm gonna read it

to you. It says, in general that the President is authorized to use all necessary and appropriate force against nations, organizations, or persons he determines planned, authorized, or committed or aided in the terrorists acts that occurred in September eleven two one, or Herbert such organizations or persons, in order to prevent further acts of international terrorism against the United States by

such nations, organized nations, or persons. Basically, if you in any way affiliated in some way, shape or form with that hood that shot us up in two thousand one. I'm coming to get you. I don't care where you live. I don't care who you live. I don't care if it's your cousin's uncle's roommate, you feel me. I don't care if it's your baby's mama's neighbor. If you affiliated, we're coming for you. And if I think it's gonna be a problem, you know that I'm saying, we're shooting

at you. That's how you can legalize the drone strikes. But I asked Bam what he thought about a drone strike in the first place, And Uh, check this out. Is it really a boss move or not? When I think of like drone strikes, you know, speaking of which you know, speaking of which like following somebody out into the into like a war zone. In my mind, my Pops used to talk about like, you know, you're you're

shooting into smoke, right because he used to Vietnam. So it's just it's just fog, you know, and you're just shooting, and you don't know what you're shooting at. You're shooting in the fog, you know what I'm saying. And you and this bullets flying back at you. You know what I'm saying. So there was like a reality you know. Um, and even just to add some color to that story, like he was a part of like the time when like you know, the leaflets were falling from the sky.

That was like black man. You know what I'm saying, This yellow man has never done nothing to you. You know what I'm saying. As a matter of fact, Like when he came home from war, we just talked about it yesterday. He came home from war, landed and landed in l A, went straight to forty one in Central It became a black panther like that day, join the black Panther party, Like I'm done with this, you know. But he would talk about that. He would talk about

the smell. But he always talked about like the awareness that it's it's people over there, Like you know what I'm saying that, Like I know, I'm shooting out a person and that person can't shoot back. So for him, he was like in a lot of ways, it felt like I had to respect the reality of this moment, you know what I'm saying. Um. Yeah, So but when I think about drone strikes, I'm like, man, you ain't bad eyes. You know what I'm saying, Like, you know,

like I feel the same way. It's not you know. Yeah, so they in World War two they used to use flamethrowers under the Geneva Convention. They was like we gotta we gotta band. I think it's World War One and it was like we gotta bands in humane And I feel like drones and slippers need to be the next one on there, because it really is. I mean, it's

just real. It's like, yeah, it's it's horrible really, you know when you think about it, Yeah, it's a laser from sky, you know, saying like you know, I just feel like yeah, like no, obviously I'm not a war Vett, so I can't speak to it directly, but I could also, but I am in a sense of like knowing the weight of if we're about to bust this caper, you know what I'm saying, Like the the reality of like this might be my last day and the reality of

it might be that kid's last day. You know what I'm saying, Like that's a sobering and you just think twice, you know what I'm saying, You just you think twice before you make moves. Like knowing that that's another human being, know what I'm saying it back in hood terms, right, So, in the nineties, drive bys were everywhere. People was doing

drive bys just to do them. And then I'm not gonna say what organization it was, but there's an organization that runs the prisons in California and that organization set the word down and said, no more drive bys. You show up in here on a drive by charge, you're getting it drive by stuff because they realized that that

you're killing innocent people. It's not it's not cheat, Like that's that's so opposite, you know what I mean, Like, that's not throwing hands, you know what I mean, that's not doing this and hiding around the corner and popping you know what I mean, I can't see what I'm doing, you know. Yeah. Yeah, but yeah, hiding around the corner and popping that's not that wasn't There was still some sense of pride in what we did, even when we did dirt and oh that's you know what I mean,

Like it's nothing. Yeah. And Obama, Obama is a drum strike guy, you know, really really really you know, during his era, you know, and and you know from his vantage, but we won't lose casualties that. But again, like you said, there's just this huge disconnecting when you talk about humanity and if you believe in spirit, like and if you believen,

if you believe in human energy. You know you already know I'm not you know, I'm I don't believe in God, you know, it's just, but I do believe that people have energy. Yeah, there's a there's an immaterial world that we need to really recognize. Don't name for it, I don't you know. Yeah, people ask me about God and I say, everything to me is like I want to talk about like it doesn't have a form. I can't. I couldn't draw you guy, like it would be in

my opinion, again, it would be arrogant of me. As as a small which I would say is much more is actually a much better, A much better theology is to have an understanding that Like it's so, I'm not going to spend my time, in my opinion, like trying to figure that out. I'm just gonna do what is natural to me. If I hug you, probably you're gonna feel good. You know. If I punch you, you're not gonna like it. And that's that's why I teach my son, like if it makes you feel good and you just

show love and you love. If there is a guy and there is a heaven, how is he going to not you? You know what I mean? Like if you say you didn't go to church one day in your life, but you were good to everybody, and you show up to you know, people say that the gates of heaven and that and whoever is there is is now you can't come in because you didn't do it. Did You didn't worship this? Dude? You don't say this sentence. You know, deal with that when it comes. But I can't see

a person or a person. I'm sorry, I can't see an entity. Like what we believe is God turning you away from taking care of people. And that's where I'm at now. For honoring the for honoring the center of you know, micro scale when it comes to gang banging like these you know, uh people who came before when especially with immigrant gangs. You know what I mean, you owe this debt of gratitude to them, but you don't

worship them. You just do what you feel will continue their lineage, which is you know, like you just continued, do that, that's how you honor them. And that's kind of, you know, my philosophy. I don't know how I got here, but you know that's my philosophy. No, it's great. You're talking about just honoring the human spirit. An strike man, you erase that, you know what I mean, and something will happen. Something is that you know, like that that

energy has to go somewhere. Yeah, and I feel like it. It kills you feel like like you're robbing because that energy has nowhere to go. It's just gonna root, it's gonna it's gonna take it from you. Yeah. Yeah, Drona strikes are horrible. I felt the same when when that movie American Sniper came out. I was one I was very vocal about, like it's not a heroic thing, you know. Yeah. I couldn't watch it. Man. I was like, I just don't want to see this. I don't want to It's

just something I did. You tell me this is entertainment, Like I'm supposed to entertain myself. I mean, like I've been watching you know, I keep up on movies. I'm a big movie guy. It's a lot of more movies coming out in the summer, not that not that it wasn't that way, you know. But now here we go again, you know, I mean, there we go, you know, and and we're gonna see it a lot in the election. You're gonna see see you gonna see uh a president who's gonna tell you. Look, man, I got you all

through this war. We war right now you don't want Yeah, do you know what I mean? Like I'm the one who started this ship, you know what I mean, I'm gonna finish it. And I'm the one that's gonna finish it. Boss. Well that's our show, guys. I know, somewhat of a grab bag, but I just thought it was too important to not let y'all hear him talk about drawing strikes. And y'all just kept asking me a million questions about the impeachment. But it just wasn't enough to make a

full show. So we try to make a full show with both of them. Sorry anyway. Shows produced mixed mastered by my man Matt Iwa Salski Is still can't pronounce his name, but it's oh so oh so squeet oh week also Ski also with ski I still can't do it, um mad scoring also by my man Ohsawowski and our theme produced by the one and only d J shawm P And we will see y'all next week. And remember, like we always say, politics which a gang banging in nice suits, douces h
