Episode description

Born in Scotland, Mary Slessor had a difficult childhood as her father was a drunkard and caused the family great difficulty. However, her mother was a godly woman who gave Mary a passion for missions.

Living in Calabar, Nigeria, in Africa during the early 1900s, Mary adapted herself to the local lifestyle. She fearlessly lived among tribes that others feared throughout her life and took the gospel wherever she went. Mary Slessor is a true hero of the Christian faith. I hope you will be inspired by her as I have!
