Episode description

In this episode, Nadia shares two different stories with her sons, one who accidentally used his middle finger, and another who showed empathy for a fellow student. Using empathy, Nadia found the truth behind one of her son's actions, and thereafter learned of her other son demonstrating empathy for another. She discusses: What is empathy? Why is it critical to having a healthy relationship with ourselves and others? How does shame impede empathy? And what can we do about it? As parents in recovery, let's support one another by sharing inspiring moments like these when past learnings are blessing for our children today!
