Story Time for Parents in Recovery

This is the first "Story Time for Parents in Recovery." One of the biggest blessings of trauma and addiction recovery is that we can teach our kids what we wish we knew when we were younger! How do we teach our children the importance of building a connection to a higher power, when ultimately its what saved our lives? How do we exemplify maintaining a supportive community around us, and not isolating? How do we teach our kids to do daily inventories of thoughts and emotions, when we have to do it ourselves? Let's tell our stories of parenting the little one within us and how it enables us to be better parents to the little ones around us! In this episode I share two recent experiences in which my spiritual journey helped my kids think beyond their immediate lives and hopefully, begin their own relationship to a power beyond them.
