We agree that you people shouldn't do whatever the designer says if it's not your lifestyle. Nancy and Jem gave their viewpoint on the following design trends:
- Wall-to-wall carpet - not practical but a good price point, comfortable to walk on
- All white rooms - hard to keep clean, needs color accents
- Minimalist designs - or is maximal better?
- Heavy Window Treatments - from the 80's, update with shades, panel drapes
