Gerry McDaid in his youth was a promising boxing talent from the Bogside in Derry. Before he was about to represent his country at under 19 level an accident in the home cost him a promising boxing career. He tells Eamonn Baker about his personal conflict and recounts stories from his point of view of the conflict in his estate during the early parts of the Northern Ireland Conflict.
