On this episode, the one time that making an assumption is good and how it can help you solve problems. This is the Holistic Alpha Male Optimization Podcast where we help you unleash your true power as a man. Hey guys, welcome back to the show. I'm Stephen Mathis, Thank you for being here with me out for a little ski day today at Brighton Resort in Utah. It's a beautiful day. We had a powder day today, me and my son. It was great.
Let's talk about the one good time to make an assumption, at least that's the one that I can think of right now. There may be other ones, but most of the time making assumptions causes problems. I kind of like to think about that. When we make assumptions, we make an ass out of us and emption or you and emption. We pretty much make an ass out of ourselves one way or the other when we make assumptions. However, there is one fantastic time to make an assumption and it is this.
When you are facing a problem in your life, which that's what life really is, life is just a series of problems. There's always going to be more problems to solve. There's always going to be more challenges to solve, and the one time that I have found it to be extremely beneficial to make an assumption is to assume that when we are facing a problem, assume that there is a better solution than you're aware of right now and it already exists. Very simple.
Assume that there is a solution that you're not currently aware of to this problem and that it is indeed the best solution to that problem. As soon as you make that assumption, here's why it's so beautiful. As soon as you make that assumption, it opens up your mind, your energetic field to those new ideas you instantly recognize and acknowledge within yourself. OK, the answer exists somewhere and it's beyond what I know now.
So I'm opening myself up to new ideas, but I'm not just saying, Oh well, you know, maybe there's a solution, maybe not. I'll try to stay open minded. That's completely different. No, when we acknowledge and decide there is a solution and the best solution is probably one that I'm not even aware of right now. As soon as you do that, you open yourself up to new ideas. You lighten up the situation.
It's more it's easier to find a place of of light heartedness and that leads to actually being more effective because when you're stressed about a situation or there's heaviness or intensity around it, it makes it much harder to actually find a solution to be effective in taking the actions that we need to take. When we can find a bit of lightheartedness, it is very practical because then we get in
more of a flow state. And by making this assumption, every time you face a problem, from the smallest daily problem to a major health problem or some kind of big life issue, assume that there is a solution and that it is indeed a better solution than any that you're currently aware of. I would love to hear your thoughts, your feedback on this. As always, very quick episode. Because this is one of those things that where the rubber meets the road is going out and
putting it in to action. And there's only so much you can put this into action today. Like a lot of things, we do what we can do today. You put it into action today and then you do it over and over and over again. So what I would suggest is going forward, as you face problems and challenges it, it might even be beneficial to verbally out loud say to yourself, you know what? I know there's a better solution to this than even the ones that I'm aware of. I'm going to acknowledge that
and stay open to that. You'd be amazed at what it can do for you. I'd love to hear your comments, your feedback. If you're on Spotify, you can leave a comment below.
