We live in a world where , amen , uh , they're desensitized to a lot of things , but , frankie , man , they're desensitized to life , man , we , uh , thank god for the supreme court decision last year or the year before , whichever one . It was Amen , but it didn't go far enough , did it ? Amen , and we're desensitized , amen , to life .

We're desensitized to liberty , amen . And we're also desensitized to God in America , amen , and that's a sad and a scary place to be . Amen , I don't want to be on the wrong side of God man , I don't want to be on that left hand man , but if I can keep myself near the cross and the shadow of it , amen , I believe we'll be all right .

Amen , I feel good in my soul tonight . Amen , I know , um , we , we , uh , we've got a lot of sickness and and I'm sure , amen , that you're still , we're still weary , amen , and uh and uh .

But I believe God's here to help us , amen , and I believe that , uh , he's here to meet with us , amen , and if we'll do our part , amen , I guarantee you he'll do his Amen . And we want God's will for this service to be manifested . Amen , and he's faithful and just to do what we need him to do .

Amen , no matter where we're at Amen , he's faithful and just to help us . Amen , in our needs , amen , amen . I want to say it's an honor and a privilege , amen , to be able to preach here tonight . Amen , and I tell you you've already heard a ton of good preaching this week . Amen , but if the Lord will help us , amen , I want to follow him .

I don't want to get off course . Amen , if I get off course , we get in the weeds . Amen , amen . Hey , you know , in the south the weeds ain't a good place to be . Amen , there's some creepy crawlies . Amen , there's some bucktooth rattle moccasins in there . Amen , you might even stumble on a gator . Amen , I want to stay out of the weeds . Praise God , amen .

Appreciate everybody pushing through . Like the pastor said this morning in our worship , I felt the Lord , I felt the witness of the Spirit , I felt the witness of the Holy Ghost in the preaching . Appreciate Brother Casey . Known him forever and a day .

We're from the same part of the country , so a lot of the references he was making to Brother Roper this morning , I know him well . Amen , and what an impact that man of God was in our life . Amen , going on to glory now . Amen , we want to try to preach to you tonight for the Lord to help us .

Amen , we want to follow him and we're going to read in a couple of places here Hebrews , chapter 11 . Amen , first verse there . First verses 1 and 2 . And then we'll go to 2 Corinthians or some famous man once said 2 Corinthians ,

2 Corinthians , amen , 2 Corinthians . There , and we'll read a couple verses there out of chapter 13 . All right , amen . Hebrews , chapter 11 , verse number 1 and 2 there , and a very familiar scripture . I love this chapter , amen , and I love amen that the Bible has a hall of fame . Amen , I love reading it . Amen , hebrews , chapter 11, .

We'll start in verses one and two . It says now faith is the substance of things hoped for , the evidence of things not seen for by it . The elders obtained a good report . Amen , by faith . Amen . Flip over with us to 2 Corinthians , there , and we'll read there in chapter 13. , and we'll go down verses 1 through 4 .

Just a couple chapters over and I'll give you a minute to get there . Amen . 2 Corinthians , chapter number 13 . And we'll begin reading in verse number 1 . And Paul's writing here . He said this is the third time I'm coming to you in the mouth of two or three witnesses . Shall every word be established .

I told you before and foretell you as if I were present the second time and being absent . Now I write to them which heretofore have sinned , and to all other , that if I come again , I will not spare , since you seek a proof of Christ speaking in me , which , to you , word is not weak but mighty in you , for through him .

He was crucified through weakness , yet he liveth by the power of God . Aren't you glad of that ? Amen , hallelujah . For we also are weak in him , but we live with him by the power of God toward you . Amen . I'm going to read verse 4 again For though he was crucified through weakness , yet he liveth by the power of God .

For we also are weak in him , but we shall live with him by the power of God , for we also are weak in Him , but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you . Aren't you thankful tonight for the power of God ? Amen . Aren't you thankful for the ability amen .

To change a man so completely that you can't even recognize the person , that he's become . Amen , that's the power of the blood in your life . Amen , and I'm become Amen . That's the power of the blood in your life . Amen , and I'm thankful . Amen . We sung this morning if he has to reach way down , he'll pick me up . Amen , I'm glad of the power of God .

Let's pray over the Word . Father , we thank you today for your mercy . We thank you today , god , for what You've done for us . We're thankful , god . We're thankful , god , for the spirit that we feel , for the presence of God that's manifest here in our service .

God , we pray that you would move through the preaching of the word God , anoint our ears and heart to hear and receive . Meet us in the altar at the conclusion of this word and we'll thank you and praise you in the precious name of Jesus . Amen and the church say amen , amen , amen . I know we understand today amen in our scripture . Amen .

We've read Hebrews many times . Amen , this chapter 11 there , and we know that . Amen of the mighty works that was wrought in this book . Amen , especially in this chapter . We can read down through the verses of faith here in the Hall of Fame and we can read of the patriarchs of the faith and men who were used mightily by the power of God . Amen .

But I'm thankful tonight , amen , that you and I have a few things that we can say about this hall of faith . Amen In our life . Amen . We have experienced some things in our life , amen , that are worthy of mention . Amen , especially around our church . Amen . Just here recently , we've seen miracles performed in our midst . Amen .

I don't know about you , but that makes my faith rise . Amen . It makes it bubble up in me , brother Marshall , amen , and it makes me proud to be , amen , a child of God , amen . No matter what the world says , I'm proud to serve God . Amen .

And not a worldly pride , amen , but a pride that says I know what I was , amen , and God changed me to what he wants me to be and I'm no longer a child of hell , but I'm a child of God . Amen . And I'm thankful tonight that if he can do it for the lowest of the low , like me , he can do it for you and he can do it for anyone . Amen .

That takes Him by faith , amen . And comes repenting and believing on the blood of Jesus . Amen . Aren't you thankful today for the power of God that changes us ? Amen . I'm thankful today to be saved . I'm thankful today to be blood-bought . I'm thankful today , amen , to have seen miracles . I'm thankful today to have faith . Amen , the substance of things hoped for .

Not only have we hoped for it , but we've seen it . Church , amen In our lives . Amen , manifested Amen Before our very eyes . Amen . And before I get too far in it , today , amen . I believe that God today , amen . Even in our lives , even though we've seen things , amen , happen . We've been through things , trials , and whatever the case may be .

It's not always a mountaintop . It's not always flowery streets , it's not always amen , mountaintops and ribbons and bows . But sometimes we go through some things . Sometimes it's on our own doing , sometimes it's an attack of the enemy , sometimes it's a testing from God . Amen that allows us . Amen's a testing from God . Amen that allows us to go through things .

Amen . Job was chosen by God . Have you considered Amen , my servant . Amen , but no matter the past , no matter the problem that we find ourselves in , amen .

I also believe that it's the will of God , that he does not want us to stay in a perpetual state of defeat , that he does not want us to stay in a constant state of depression , that he does not want us to lack Amen On this earth . He wants us to get past the problem . He wants us to get past the past Amen .

Too many times we're paralyzed by the problems that we face , amen , and we feel like that we can't get over them and there's nothing we can do . And the devil comes to us and talks to us and we should brush him off .

But oftentimes we listen to him , amen , and he tells us that you can't get through , you're not going to overcome , you can't get past Amen , you might as well not try . Amen , you might as well not put any effort in , but I'm telling us today that God , amen , wants us to get past that . Amen , from the problem . Amen to a solution in Him .

Amen , I believe it's the will of God today . Amen , that we have the victory in our life . Amen , now you know when you're headed off on a trip , amen , the best way to get from point A to point B is to ask your wife Amen , I'm just joking there . Amen , I'm going to stop before I get in trouble here . Amen , but buy a map .

Amen , or open the Google Maps . Amen , or Safari Map , whatever the case , whatever phone you have , that's the easiest way to get from A to Maps . Amen , or Safari Map , whatever the case , whatever phone you have , that's the easiest way to get from A to B . Amen , it's to use a map . Amen , oh , don't you know this morning or tonight .

Rather , the map for our life telling us how to get from A to B has already been given to us . Amen , brother Caleb's over there patting it . Amen , holding up where everybody can see it . Brother , it's already been given to us . Amen , it's already been given . Amen , we already have it .

Amen , there are probably more copies of this map Amen that I'm talking about on shelves today than any other book . It's still the best seller in the world , but it's also probably the least read book in America and across the world . Amen , probably the least read book in America and across the world . Amen , friend , we've got the book , amen .

We've got the map Amen . And it tells us , amen , that we're headed , amen to a place called heaven and it also tells us how to avoid a place called hell , amen . Oh , I want some map reading tonight .

Amen , I want the devil to know , amen , that I'm not willing to stay down , that I'm not willing to stay in the past , that I'm not willing to be part of a problem , but I'm willing tonight to accept God's hand and overcome for the victory of the Holy Ghost . Amen . I want to preach to us tonight . Amen on evidences , amen , evidences in our life , amen .

On evidences , amen , evidences in our life , amen . And I believe that's what God wants us to do is to get past the problem . Amen . We read in our text this morning the classic statement of faith Amen . You ask anybody what faith is and they can read this text . They'll quote this text . Amen , it's everywhere . Amen , we know it .

We can spout it off Amen , just as quickly as we can snap our fingers Amen , faith , amen , the substance of things hoped for , the evidence of things not seen , amen . We find that we believe that Amen . But I'd like to start out tonight by telling us what faith is not . Amen . Faith is not some kind of magical formula Amen , amen .

Faith is not some kind of amen , denial Amen . And what I mean by that is we got a fever of 103 , but , praise God , I ain't got no fever . Amen , it's not a denial Amen . It's not amen . Faith in faith , faith in how much faith I say I've got . It's faith in God , amen To do what he says he's going to do , amen .

It's not instant gratification , amen and answers Amen . It's not always now faith , amen , but often times , and many times , it's through faith . Amen . We've got to go through Amen and faith gives us that strength to go through Amen . Faith the definition is faith . It's the substance of things hoped for , the evidence of things not seen . Amen .

Now I've got to tell us tonight that that word hope , amen , it doesn't mean wish Amen , it doesn't mean maybe . It doesn't mean wish Amen , it doesn't mean maybe . It doesn't mean you know , maybe I'll get through it . Amen , maybe God will deliver , maybe God will help me get past the past . Amen , but it's absolute , amen . It's absolute .

There is an absolute with God . Amen , he is absolute . Amen . He is absolute faith and absolute truth . Amen , he is absolute . Amen . He is absolute faith and absolute truth , amen . The Bible tells us here Amen . When it speaks of the rapture in the church Amen . It calls it the blessed hope . Amen .

I'm so glad tonight it doesn't call it the blessed maybe , amen , the blessed maybe one day , the blessed hope . So Amen . But I'm glad tonight we understand Amen . But I'm glad tonight we understand Amen . What the definition is saying ? It's really saying that faith is the title deed . Amen To victory , amen . Now we all know what a deed is church .

If you own any kind of piece of property , you know what a deed is . Amen . It shows ownership , like brother Josh just said . Amen . It shows ownership , like Brother Josh just said . It describes the honor to have full proof of possession and it gives you legal authority to back it up . Amen , a deed is sure .

Evidence of what belongs to us is legally ours , amen . So what I'm talking to you tonight about getting past the problems , amen . So what I'm talking to you tonight about getting past the problems , amen . Whatever that is in your life , if it's sin or sickness , amen .

Or disease , or debt , or discontent , unemployment , put the whatever word that you want in right there

Anxiety , fear or failure , whatever it is . One thing , church , that's important is we've got to have some evidences . Amen that says anxiety , fear or failure , whatever it is . One thing just as important is we've got to have some evidences , even that says God's done it before and He'll do it again . It don't matter what the enemy says .

Even God moves and overcomes in our life . Amen . He is the answer to my need , he is the answer to your need . Amen . You need a title deed tonight . Amen In your life , amen . And I'd like to share something with us tonight how to find some evidences . Amen , but you must understand Amen . The only way we're going to find it is if we search for it .

Amen , because , over and over in the Word of God , there is a principle that is clear to us Amen . And that principle is that if you want to change , amen . If you want a breakthrough , if you want change , amen . If you want a breakthrough , if you want success , amen . If you want to get past your problem , amen , it won't be handed to you .

Amen , but in other words , you've got to search for it . Amen , jeremiah 29 . Amen . And verse 13 tells us and you seek me and find me when you shall search for me With all your heart . And verse 14 says and I will be found of you , saith the Lord , amen . Now understand , here tonight I'm not talking about salvation , amen .

We don't have to search for that . It comes , amen , through the blood of Jesus . Jesus was seeking me , amen . But after salvation , friend , everything else that I've got with God , I had to search for it , I had to desire it . Amen , to get what I needed from God . Amen , amen , amen , amen . I was thinking today about some games that we play in our youth .

Amen , and how that applies to our lives . Amen , amen . We've had the game Jeopardy , amen , and I love to play it , but I only like to answer the history questions . I don't know any of the rest of them . Amen , if you get outside of that , I'm pretty lost . Amen , but Jeopardy . You got the answer , but they're still asking questions .

Amen , battleship how many ever played Battleship ? Oh , I love Battleship . Amen , pew Success Amen , carrier how many ever played Battleship . Oh , I love Battleship . Amen , pew , pew , success . Amen , carrier sunk , hallelujah , amen . A raging bull in a china shop , amen , always shooting at somebody , amen , hallelujah .

But there's a game of life that a lot of people play , amen . It's called the blame game . Amen , hallelujah , hallelujah , amen . We're always in America blaming something on somebody else . It's always somebody else's fault , brother Josh , amen , it's either . If we're children , we're blaming our parents . Amen .

If we're parents , I hope we don't blame our children , but sometimes we do Amen In society and government . If you're a Democrat , you blame the Republicans , amen . If you're a Republican , a conservative , you blame the Democrats , and rightly so . Amen . But we blame somebody else . Amen . Somebody else hurt me , somebody else talked about me , pastor .

Somebody done me wrong . Amen , somebody else hurt me . Somebody else talked about me , pastor . Somebody done me wrong , amen . Somebody else , something else ? Amen . That's what's called the blame game . Amen . And I want us to know tonight that in troubles , one of the sources of life's troubles most of the time is other people .

Amen , it is , it is , it's just fact . Amen , I don't hurt myself . What kind of person will I be ? Amen , sometimes I do , but that's another story . Amen , hallelujah , amen , amen . But that may be a reason for our problems . Amen , and oftentimes it is . But , pastor , there ain't nobody else Can stop me from getting past my problems . Huh , ain't .

Nobody else Can stop me From getting past what's hurt me . Ain't nothing else can stop you From getting past what somebody else said about you and done to you and hurt you . Amen . See , we have that power . You and I have that power . They don't have that power . They might have had the power to hurt you , amen .

But they don't have the power to make you stay hurt , amen . They don't have the power to make you stay down . They ain't got the power to make you stay in the past . Amen , friend , down . I ain't got the power to make you stay in the past . Amen , friend , amen . There's a power that God gives , the blessed grace of God that helps us get over the past .

Amen , amen . We find that in 2 Timothy and Paul's writings Amen . This is what he said . 2 Timothy . He said Alexander the coppersmith didn't mean much evil . Amen , the Lord . I'd hate to be in Alexander's shoes right here . Amen , amen . Paul said the Lord reward him according to his works .

Amen , of whom be thou aware also , for he hath greatly withstood our words . At my first answer , no man stood with me , but all men forsook me . Oh , I like this last part , though . Amen . He said , notwithstanding , the Lord stood with me . Hallelujah , hallelujah , hallelujah . Everybody else left . You ever felt alone .

You ever felt like ain't nobody with me , everybody else is gone . Amen , paul did . But he said notwithstanding , the Lord stood with me . And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom , to whom be the glory . Amen Of God , forever , amen , amen .

Sometimes we're hurt by other people , sometimes we're done wrong , friends , amen . But God is greater than the hurt . God is greater than the hurt , god is greater than the past , and God gives us grace where we don't stay in the hurt . Amen , amen .

Jesus spoke in the parable of the wheat and the tares and in that parable he made this statement Now there was an enemy coming in and that's a pretty sorry individual , amen . That sows tares in a good looking field . Amen . But this man did . The enemy came in and he sowed tares in the wheat . Amen . I'm here to tell you tonight .

Sometimes , no matter how much you try to do right , somebody's always going to be on the wrong side and do you wrong . Amen . It don't matter . But you know what the Lord said Amen . The Lord said let them both grow together . Hallelujah , amen , amen . I want to tell us tonight no pain , I'm not . I'm not denigrating your pain .

I promise I've been in the midst of some hurt , okay , amen . But no pain , amen . No person and no problem , amen . You may have been victimized , amen . You may have been hurt , you may have been wronged , but , friend , let me tell you tonight Amen . God wants you to get past the problem .

Amen , and one of the first things we've got to do , pastor , one of the first things I had to do in my life was quit playing the blame game . Amen , because when it was everybody else's fault , I was in a perpetual state of hurt . Amen , but by the grace of God , amen , amen . Let them blow together . Let the tears in the wheat grow .

Friend , you may not get past it right now , but that's coming a day . By the grace of God , he'll separate it out and the wheat will grow in your life . Amen , amen , amen . I read a story and it's a little lengthy , so bear with me . Amen . I read a story and it's a little lengthy , so bear with me , amen .

I read this account of a man who had a newborn baby , and this was his account of it . He said only a few hours after my wife and I arrived at the hospital , we were holding hands and steadily breathing together . Her contractions had escalated in a matter of hours and before we knew it , she was almost ready to begin pushing to deliver the baby .

He said as I held her hand and counted to ten , with each agonizing contraction she mustered up what little energy she had left to pass our fourth child into the world . She said the baby . The baby came so quickly . The nursing staff didn't have time to prep Amen the room for delivery . It seemed like it was over before it began .

As I was cutting the cord , I noticed something was wrong with the baby . She wasn't breathing normally . She was gasping , with her entire body aiming to get air into her tiny lungs . When I pointed it out to the doctor , he acknowledged that there was indeed a problem .

A nurse came over and tried to suction her mouth , amen , and her nose to clear the air passages , but it didn't seem to help . He said they gave her a petite little oxygen mask and put her under a heat lamp to warm her , but she continued to struggle , he said .

As I kept one eye upon my baby daughter and one eye upon the doctor , I began to seriously worry for her safety . I was worried because it seemed he showed very little concern for what was happening . He said I suppose I knew , or he knew watching his response , and he was using me as a worry compass . But his lack of concern troubled me all the more .

Hey man . And in the next 20 minutes he said my daughter was taken from us and put in a hospital nursery to be kept under close supervision . He said this was particularly hard on my wife because she had not even had a chance to hold our child .

The head nurse came into our room several minutes later and explained that because the baby was born so fast that she was not able to get all the embryonic fluid out of her lungs . The nurse told her this was very common with children who came out so quickly , but they wanted to keep an eye on her for the next several hours to make sure she was okay .

He said for the next several hours I stood outside the nursery and I watched my daughter fight for her life . Watching her body seize at every breath was almost more than I could take . Amen , the resident nurse would often look up from her desk , look at my daughter and then go back to what she was doing .

He said this began to eat at me because she didn't appear . Amen that this person was giving my daughter the attention that

she needed . Truthfully , it didn't seem like she cared . After about five hours of this absurdity , he said , I forced my way into the nursery and directly confronted the nurse . He said I was sick and tired of seeing my baby suffer and I wanted something to be done about it now . Why couldn't they just extract the fluid from her lungs ?

Why couldn't they call in a specialist ? Why weren't they just extract the fluid from her lungs ? Why couldn't they call in a specialist ? Why weren't they doing anything but watching ? Something needed to be done immediately . The head nurse was called in to speak with me about my concerns and to answer my questions and my impatience .

He said I only had one question what could be done now to help this baby ? He said her answer was very deliberate and premeditated and I will never forget it as long as I lived . She looked amen squarely in my eyes and she said these words there's a lot we can do now to help your daughter . However , we are not choosing to do anything .

We are giving this child time To declare herself Before we step in and help . She explained to me that helping her now Could actually be hurting her in the long run . She said this baby needs to fight for her life , so she will become a strong adult , he said . I appreciated that answer so much that I ran to the room To write it down .

He said when I came back to the nursery . I stood over my struggling daughter , bent over her and whispered into her ear Over and over and over Breathe , baby , breathe , baby , breathe , baby , breathe . He said . In the next few hours my daughter won her battle and she was lovingly returned To her mother .

Amen , friends , sometimes To get past the problem , we've got to declare ourselves , amen , a child of God , and find some evidences . We've got to search and say , amen , here's my evidence , here's my evidence , here's my title . Deed Jesus said Ask and it shall be given , seek and he shall find Amen . Knock and it shall be opened .

Amen For everyone that asketh , receiveth . He that seeketh findeth . He that knocketh it shall be opened . You know what that implies to findeth he that knocketh , it shall be open . You know what that implies to me . Amen . That implies to me , amen , that if you don't seek for it and if you don't look for it , you won't find it . Oh , hallelujah , amen .

And when you've got a problem how many has got problems in their life ? I'll raise my hand . Amen . And when you've got a problem how many has got problems in their life ? I'll raise my hand . Amen , I've got a problem . Amen .

I've got to find the evidence , amen , of the answer that God has promised for my need Amen , amen , you've got to search for it , you've got to press for it . Amen , amen , the devil is just got to press for it . Amen , the devil's just not going to give ground . Amen , he ain't just going to step out of the way willingly . Amen , he's already defeated .

We know that , but I wonder , sometimes we say that with our mouth , but do we know that he's already defeated ? Amen , and he is a defeated foe . Amen , the power of God at Calvary . He's already defeated . Amen , he is the defeated foe . Amen , the power of God at Calvary . Amen , defeated him . Amen , but I want to find amen , my source .

Amen , our text said in 2nd Corinthians our pastors quoted it many times amen , that out of the mouth of two or three witnesses Shall every word Be what Established . Amen . That means if I agree and you agree and somebody else agrees , man , we've got a majority . Hallelujah , hallelujah , hallelujah , amen , amen , sources , preacher . Where can I find my evidence ?

Amen , amen , sources , preacher . Where can I find my evidence ? Amen , amen , one , as you look in the testimony of others . And that's when I began thinking of all the miracles that's happened in our church . Amen , did you know ? Amen , did you know that other people have gone through things ? Amen , just like us . Amen . Did you know that ?

Amen , that other people have gone through things ? Amen , just like us ? Amen . Did you know that we're not the only one ? Amen , amen . And so many times when we've got problems , I think I'm the only one , amen . I think that nobody else understands , amen , what I'm going through ? Amen , amen .

And one thing we can do to help us get our answer Amen , is to hear . Amen , how somebody else made it through . Amen , how somebody why testimony service is so good ? Amen , so we can see and hear how God Moved for somebody else . Amen , amen , amen , amen .

We can read the story Amen of JC Penney Went bankrupt twice and then still managed to build One of the largest clothing retailers Amen , it gives you evidence . Amen . And even when we fall , we got to get up . Amen .

We read of missionary families Amen that sat down with nothing to eat , prayed prayer and said the blessing and a knock came on the door and then they had food to eat . Amen , when we're here . There was a young lady in New York . I read her story today .

She was on the subway and she missed her station and by the time she realized that she had missed her station . She didn't know what to do . The story says she prayed for a sign of God's presence . This was no hour or place for a young lady passing through a rough neighborhood alone .

And the story says at that moment , brother Josh , the subway doors opened and on stepped a homeless , disheveled , disheveled , dirty man on that amen subway and he plopped right down beside her . Amen , she was scared to death . Amen . She began to pray silently God , amen , I know you see me . Amen . She began to pray silently . God , amen , I know you see me .

God , are you near God , are you there ? Amen . The answer came in a song . The story says that that homeless man pulled out a harmonica , brother Josh , and began to play that old song , that old hymn , be Thou my Vision , which happened to be her mama's favorite song . Amen .

When you hear how somebody else overcame drug addiction , overcame , amen , alcoholism , poverty , it gives us evidence , brother Frankie , that I can get past what I'm facing in my life . Amen . And he'll do the same thing , for you . Amen . Evidences of God's power . Amen , amen , amen . If he did it , then He'll do it now . Amen .

Because God is no respecter of person , no matter what we go through , no matter what we face . If he did it for one , he'll do it for all , amen , amen . Another evidence is given in the Word of God . Amen . It's what God has done in the past , amen . We find one evidence in Psalms 106 .

A major problem of the children of Israel is they forgot God and then , when they got in trouble , they had to remember God . Amen . Psalms 106 says they soon forgot His Word , his works . They waited not for His counsel . Amen . The disciples also had the issue . Matthew , chapter 16 . Christ , amen , took them to task for their faith .

Oh , ye of little faith , why reason ye among yourselves Because ye have brought no bread ? Do ye not understand ? You may know the story but for those that don't , my granddaddy had been in the hospital . He'd already had amen a pacemaker . He'd had heart problems for years but already had amen a pacemaker . He'd had heart problems for years but he got to wear his pacemaker , amen .

Even with the pacemaker , his heart rhythm , his heartbeat was just real low , his pressure was real low . So they put him in the hospital there running some tests , different things , and I never will forget it , amen . It was on a night in October . I got a text from my mother . They said we're on the way to the ER .

Your granddaddy just went in cardiac arrest . He got up out of his hospital bed , went into the bathroom there , retched over , pulled the emergency cord and his heart stopped and he hit the floor Amen . Oh , the emergency cord was pulled . They ran in there , brother Mark , amen , and they , for a team of four nurses , began to .

They got him back up in the bed or I can't remember . It was on the floor , I don't remember Amen , but they began . A team of four nurses took turns doing CPR and chest compressions , trying to restart his heart . Amen . 20 minutes into that ordeal , amen , they were swapping out Amen , have you ever done CPR ? Took CPR training ?

Amen , that's tough , amen , that will tire you out . Amen . But they began to do that CPR for 20 minutes . Brother Josh , amen , still no heartbeat . 25 minutes , still no heartbeat . 25 minutes , no heartbeat . Amen , amen , they're still just doing it . Amen , getting their thing on , thank God for them .

They looked over at minute 25 , and my precious granny sat there praying Amen , getting their thing on , thank God for them . They looked over at minute 25 and my precious granny sitting there praying Amen , asking God to intervene . Amen . They said ma'am , we don't think there's no hope . We've been doing this 25 minutes and do you want us to stop ?

Can we call it ? She said oh no , keep it going , keep it going . So they went back at it . Brother Rusty knows the story , y'all know the story . Amen . But at minute 30 , amen , god , let a heartbeat come back into that body . Amen . They rushed him down to ICU , amen .

The family gathered in Amen the neurologic , the doctor of neurology , amen , met with my mother and all the brothers and said we just want to warn you , he's on a breathing tube , on the vent Amen , if he does Survive coming off that vent , he'll be brain dead . He didn't have a heartbeat for 30 minutes , amen . So they began to wean him out .

Brother Josh , amen . The first time they tried to wean him out , amen , it started . His oxygen started dropping , amen . So they put it back in a little longer and they met with mom and them again , amen . And they asked him what do you want us to do ? Amen , we'll try again . But what do you want us to do if this happens again ?

And at that point they made the decision amen . That if it happened again , just don't resuscitate him because it's so hard . Amen , no matter , no telling what damage was done from 30 minutes of CPR . Amen , amen . But what my mama and her brothers didn't know is that our great physician was on the scene . Amen .

But what my mama and her brothers didn't know is there's a great physician was on the scene . Hallelujah , hallelujah . And even though they said , do not resuscitate Brother Caleb , the Holy Ghost was moving , hallelujah . So they done it again . They began to wean him off that vent , amen .

And miraculously his body began to respond and he began to breathe and he come off the vent , 100% , breathing on his own . Amen , and then they began to run tests on his brain activity to see just how much he had lost . Amen , brother Gerald , did you know ? Amen , he came through . 100% , no damage , no neurological damage .

Amen , with all of his faculties , able to talk and speak . I'm telling you , friend , evidences Of what God Can do , amen , evidences of what God can do . Amen , friend . I'm telling you tonight , if I faced anything in my life , if I needed anything in my life , amen , there ain't no devil in hell that could convince me that he's not on my throne .

Evidences Of what God Can do , woo Evidences . Amen , amen . That was October , october , december , rolled around , and he was sitting in October , december , rolled around , and he was sitting in my mama's living room having Christmas . God's gave us too much evidence . God's gave us too . That's what the preacher preached . God's gave this church too much evidence .

And you're overlooking the evidence , amen , evidence . And you're over looking the evidence of what God has done and what God will do . I'm going to tell you something . Look at , look at me , listen . You're not in the shape you're in because of me . You're not in the shape you're in because of somebody else in this church .

You're in the shape you're in because you're overlooking everything that God has done and God is trying to do . And until you open your eyes , until you say God , you have been good to me , you have been good to my family , you have been good to my church , and I'm going to rise up above this , amen . It's time we get over some things .

It's time we get past some things . Amen , heaven is too close . Eternity is too close . Hell is too close . Amen For us to harbor a feeling , for us to go to hell . Amen Over getting hurt or somebody saying something or somebody doing something . I said hell is too close . Heaven is too close and we need to not overlook what God has done .

Hallelujah , you may not like me , you may not like my wife , amen . You may not like my children , but you can't deny the evidence that God has put his hand upon me . You know the reason why there was $120,000 come in when Emily got sick , because I've got a good name around the country .

That ought to be enough evidence that there's enough people in this country that feel like Rusty Johnson is true blue and he's serving God and he's doing right that we going to help him . I've never heard of it . I've never heard of for any other preacher , amen . That kind of a outpouring in that short of a time . I said I've never heard of .

That young girl is playing the piano and singing . Today Brother Casey's wife , his sister , died with cancer and singing .

It doesn't matter if we have church or not . Amen , after God has done everything that he has done . Oh , hallelujah . That attitude will bleed over into our children and to our grandchildren . Amen , they're going to come to church late . They're going to come to church and sit . They're going to come to church and not pray . They're going to come to church and not worship because it really doesn't mean anything , it really doesn't matter . All the evidence that God has given and God has proven . I cannot afford to let anything get in my life and overlook the power of god . I know there's people in this church that are hypocrites . I know there's people in this church that's not right with god . I know some of you got a television and I preached against it for years . I know some of you has got a television and I've preached against it for years .

I know some of you are doing things that I've preached against for years , but I'm not going to let what you do keep me from seeing the evidence of the power of God . I'm not going to let what you do or what you don't do keep me from being where I need to be with God . There's too much evidence . There's too much evidence . There's too much witness .

Can you say amen , that this young generation needs to see the power , the power , the power of God , the power of God that they have felt ? Amen . When Sister Haley come down that aisle the other night shouting under the power of God , amen , falling out on the floor in the power of God , how can you deny that ?

You think she was playing or was that the power of God ? Amen , was it God or not ? You think she's a hypocrite ? I don't think she's a hypocrite . I think the power of God came on her life . Amen . I've known her since she was a little girl and I've never known her to be one that wants to show off in front of people . Amen .

And if you've got a big crowd , like we had the other night and she'd run down that aisle shouting under the power of God , I don't think she was trying to show off . I believe it was the power of God . Can you say amen ? I believe it was the power of God . Glory to God . And I'm not going to deny the power of God .

But that is what Paul said , that in the last days , perilous times would come . And he gives that list , and then he said that they would have a form of godliness , but deny the power thereof . I am not going to deny what God is doing . I'm not going to deny the hand of God . I may not agree , amen .

You may not agree with everything I preach , but don't deny the power , don't deny the evidence that God is in our midst and God is among us . Amen , I said don't deny the truth of God . Amen , amen , praise God , amen . I'll tell you what that will do . Amen , that will turn the power of God against us .

Blasphemy of the Holy Ghost is denying the power of God . He casteth out devils by Baalzebub . That ain't God . That ain't God . That's the devil . That ain't God . That's something else . It ain't God . That's the devil . That ain't God . That's something else . It ain't God . They were denying the power of God that was working through Christ .

Blaspheming the Holy Ghost is not just making fun of somebody shouting it's whenever we deny the power of the Holy Ghost .
