I sat there and she gave me some money just for sitting there and watching her machine. What the hell? Yeah, it was nice, but just think about it to have that level of trust and a stranger to sit here and watch your machine while your money is counting out. Because I could have been like,

sat down and ship took the fucking ticket and left. You know what I'm saying, Like, but you was gonna be ba. You know what. You probably why she picked you. You You're very identifying very identified very should

you stay at one machine the whole time. So if you are on a machine and you play, like a significant amount of money in there and you just find like it's not hitting us, not hitting, it's okay to get up and go to a different machine, But to do that ship like after you don play like ten fifteen, twenty dollars, Like, no, don't do that. Like I said, you want to give yourself enough time to

So I can either drop my bet and try to bet outright with that two point fifty, which would lower my pay if I do win, or I can go for a lucky chance spin and if I win it, then it'll spend the machine one more time at the same five dollars bet, even though I technically couldn't afford it, and if I win, then I can just keep playing. That happened to me and I ended up winning like seven hundred dollars off that, and then from there I took it to

twenty two hundred. So it just it depends. Man. You you really have to. Once you get into the habit of slots, you kind of start learning how to how the machines behave so to speak. She started last week Monday. She is doing really good in the program. Last week she was actually able to walk a short distance unassisted without her cane, so she she's doing really really good thing because they have them there

from an eight to four every day. Then they have like an hour set aside for them to like do a schoolwork excuse me, stuff like that. But it's just it's a lot of physical therapy. They have like individual therapy, group physical therapy, then like actual like psychologists and stuff. But let me tell you how much I hate this. It is mandatory for me as a parent. I have to go to these fucking parent program parent meetings. Actually it's actually three times a week, so there's a parent it's a group.

So it's basically parents group for kids. Like we got kids that's fucked up, right, So they make us, you know, sit in this fucking circle jerk session of parents that disabled kids and ship and it's like bruh, Like, yeah, I got enough on my plate, bro, Like it's oh, well, you know, Katie had a good day today. You know, she peeled a banana on her own. It's like, bro, I'm trying to work. No, I'm just saying, like, so,

bro, y'all know, y'all know, I don't like people. So being in an environment where I am forced to interact with all of these other parents and ship and share feelings like that's I have my own therapist that I talked to once a week. I don't want to fucking talk to y'all. So then it's like one day it's you know, like nine something in the morning, and then another another day is you know, is right at twelve?

I'm like, bro, I start work at twelve. But it's mandatory, and I have to do because I don't want Jelly to get kicked out a job that's that don't make no sense so sound too much like a yes, like we do. And then we got to sit here in this fucking PowerPoint slides, so they were sharing the screen and this fucking presentations and ship, well, how to cope with this and how to like, bro, just send me the fucking pamphlet home. I will read it when I get

off work. So and and don't get me wrong, for parents who actually need that type of support system, I feel like it's a great for them, you know. But for people like me who like I don't like to be in those type of group environments, that's not my thing, that's not how I function, and then being forced to do it is putting that much more pressure on me, especially because it's like now I start work at noon with my sleep schedule and stuff. It's like now I'm having to I wake

up because I have to. I still have to help Jellye get dressed and stuff. She hasn't gotten to that point, but when she got dropped off on Thursday, she text me and say here to let me know she was outside and by the time I got my coat and went to the back door, she was already at the back door. She had walked herself to the back door from the driveway without my help, so she still had her cane,

but you know, just her making that progress. But it's like I have to wake up at six in the morning in order to get her up and get her dressed so that the transportation people can come and pick her up. And you know, once your sleep is broken, it's really hard to kind of get back to that. So it's like then trying to fall back asleep and get a little bit more rest before I have to go to work.

But it's like, now I do that, and now I gotta go to this fucking meeting, and then when the meeting is done, it's like trying to get another twenty minutes in before I got to work. It's just it's a lot, and I don't like this ship at all. Like, so there are two times a week that I have to meet for this parent support group, but then I also have once a week a family therapy session with Jelly, And then there's another one of the doctors there that whenever they

have meetings, like I have to zoom calling and so there is. It's just it's it's a lot as a person, like I am still working and I'm not, you know, just because even she said most parents are on FMLA, but then it's it's parents. It's some of them parents where they're in a group together, like you got the mom and a dad beyond at the same time. Both parents have to or they just choose to do that.

I don't know. I have sporm, so I don't know what do you mean, like like the option of having both parents there, yeah, like one or the other, or if they both have to be in because they're in the household. That's what she was asking, and I'm like, I don't. I have no idea. I think I would go. They seem enthusiastic about it though they like being here. I fucking knit with had to dream you introduce me to her. That's hilarious. I just thought about

that right now. She needed to put that shit on somebody and get the fucking mouse. But no, I uh uh. So I'm trying to navigate that. Her projected discharge date right now is April sixth, so we are hoping that by that time, you know, she will be completely out of the program and actually you know, back on her feet literally and back in school. Now. The thing is, unfortunately, like because of how things went last semester, like we're most likely looking at Jelly being having to repeat

her freshman year because of her first semester. Right now, we're kind of focusing on the classes that she doesn't really need that much help in trying to get as many credits as we can for and then you know whatever we can try to make up through summer school. So that's nice being able to get like some kind of support as far as like on that end, because it's you're already dealing with a lot and now it's like, damn, I'm gonna

have to like redo you know school. I based like I've basically flunk and you know, we we recognize, like it's not her fault at all or you know, it's not anything that speaks to her intelligence at all. It's just it's kind of the cars that we were dealt. So that's why it's like it was it was so important to me for me to get like those tickets for her because Jelly's never been to any wrestling live that was always read. Jelly has just more recently within the last two years, really really got

into watching wrestling with me. So now that you know that's that's kind of our that's our thing, she's replaced reed because we kind of like grew out of it because tone and wine ruined it for how was it our thought? Because she didn't know that it was like predetermed. She didn't know all of that. So when y'all got to discussing the results and all of the little

shit in front of her like that, that ruined it for her. She didn't know that part keep was saying, look into summer school so she don't be that far behind all elective classes, so she can hold off until spring sophomore year. Yeah, well yeah, the yeah, the mandatory like the English and the math is always offered. The electives are other things that are

not always always offered. Well even now because like I had to tell them cause they were like, well, we want her to focus like on her healing, you know, we don't want to, you know, put too much on her plate. And I'm like, I understand that. So how about instead of y'all just oh well we'll drop this, this and this, how about we look at the classes that she's performing well in however many those

classes are. If it's five classes and she's only fucking up in two right now, cause you need extra help with those, then we will keep all five of those. There's no reason to just start shucking shit. If she's doing good in the classes, let her get those credits now if she's already

on track to pass those courses. So they're like, you know, that's a good idea, But I have to meet with them again, probably like in the next week or so, cause we'll have to discuss, you know, like when she is able to go into the classroom, like what kind of accommodations she'll need, Like is we gonna have to get her access to like the elevator and shit there, you know, she gonna have to have somebody assisting her like getting off the bus and all of this kind of shit.

So we'll see four plan. I think it's a fible four ft plan that you have where it's not like I E P. But it's it's due to medical and they have a plan in the school that actually follows a regiment that she has to go through, and it's it's kind of leg kind of a legal binding, but it's like an agreement between you and the school at eight because she is has this element that this is what the school agrees to do to actually accommodate that. Well, a couple of her teachers were dicks.

And I talked about this before, like some of them were actually cool. Maybe she won't you know, fully fail her first semester, but it stills like she got incomplete. But then you have a couple of her teachers that just flat out fields that's that's wrong, and and the principles should be able to stand up for that. They should be able to actually overturn that

and students absences. But like, motherfucker, you act like she was on the side of the building skipping smoking cigarettes every goddamn day, but she been sick so oh and that so that that did piss me off because she had two of the teachers that that did that, and they just completely failed her for the first semester. But everybody else they just gave her. You know, you can you can fight that. You you want me to be her daddy, somebody need to be. I can go up there and no that
