After that, Spiegel broke down White Sox manager Tony La Russa's decision to have utilityman Danny Mendick unsuccessfully attempt a sacrifice bunt in the sixth inning of a 4-3 loss to the Tigers on Saturday. Later, Spiegel discussed whether the Cubs will be buyers at the trade deadline, as president of baseball operations Jed Hoyer hinted at during an interview on Inside the Clubhouse on Saturday.
