Johnny Osborne is a runner, hiker and up for a challenge when it comes to the Southern Appalachian Mountains. Listen as he talks about his love for the mountains, how he has hiked every marked trail in the Great Smoky Mountains and now is hiking the South Beyond 6000 challenge of ascending 40 peaks over 6000 feet. Johnny talks about having the Smokies as his backyard playground and tips for all of us who want to hike the backcountry - including his own bear and wild boar encounters. Lastly, he shares how special the hiking community is and what it means to be part of it.
