Episode description

Shyla takes us on her backpack of the West Coast Trail, what it takes to plan a hike on the WTC, the beauty of it's rugged, coastal terrain and making the most of an experience even when things don't exactly go as intended.

The West Coast Trail is a 75km (47 mi) backpacking trail that follows the southwestern edge of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. It was built in 1907 as a lifesaving trail to rescue shipwrecked survivors. It's now part of the Pacific Rim National Park and has been called one of the world's top hiking trails (source: Wikipedia).

We also talk about Shy's experiences as a Girl Guide Leader and the trails she hits up closer to home in Toronto.
