From my arm Radio, Common Enemy and Tendum with TV. It's the Hey Pal Podcast. Hey Pal, Hey Pal? Jar? How are you pal? I'm I mean, I'm good. We did it. We did it. We we did it. We've got a podcast we do and I'm so excited. It's gonna be amazing. We have a lot of pals, so we're gonna have a lot of great guests and I'm fired up. I'm gonna call my pals. Are you gonna call your pal? I'm gonna call my palace. So they're they're like our pals. There are pals. Okay, I get it.
I get it. Okay, I like it. And for everybody at home, they should know that it's a miracle we even got this off the ground because I'm from Dallas, you're from Philly and we know how that goes with sports. Well, you know what's a miracles. I don't even like you as a person, So the fact that I can even sit in a studio with you sitting next to you, uh is it's kind of a It's kind of a miracle. This is we're recording this. Dave. Oh yeah, oh you're
fine with having that on record? One percent? Okay, Well, there you have it. Well, that's Dave Ossco who hates me, and uh, I'm Jared Einson and we're gonna be your co host for the Hate Pal podcast and Benny of thus podcast they Hate Pal whatever. Yeah, whatever that means. Yeah, I get it. Dave, thank you, Thank you very much. And as you can tell from Dave's excitement, we're gonna be talking sports, we're gonna be talking entertainment, and we're
actually gonna do something kind of unique. And Dave and I we always like to ask hypotheticals and situational questions, so we're gonna be hybriding the two, marrying the two and putting you know, actors in sports shoes and putting you know, athletes in the actors shoes and Davo. What's great about this is we've also got the couple of games slash segments we're gonna play with the Hayte Pal guests with our pals, including the one that you came up with, which is the penalty Box. I love the
penalty Box. We've got The seedings scene is always exciting because you never know what's gonna happen. You know, hey, come playoff time, you don't know is it eight? He gonna be the one seat. It's so exciting when that happened. And then we've also got the right guy. Second, we have the Rye guys. Very exciting. I think I feel like you're big facetious right now. No, I mean, who doesn't want to call ry guys? Dave who you know what?
I know what you're doing right now because I came up with this thing, and Ryan's my guy and he has no Look, we were gonna wait till episode two, but because of you and this little mockery that you're doing, Kyle, do you mind if we can we get ry Guy on the phone right now. You guys are in for a treat thanks to my quit my dud host over here. Unbelievable. Okay, So we want the listeners and everybody to know that
we have a friend, a pal. Everybody's a pal. We have a pal who you can and we promise you this is all true what we're about to say. But if we call him, okay, he will tell us anything that happened that year. We can say, like nineteen two and sports or film, sports or film that's sports or film. Yeah, and he's not looking it up on Google Nope, he doesn't have his phone, he doesn't have an assistant in the room. Yeah, it's just off the top of his brain, off the top of the dome. So we have not
told Ryan the full deal. Okay, so we're gonna have a r Ry Guys segment. We're gonna call him, but as soon as it gets boring, yep, we're just gonna hang up on him. Yep. Okay, that's correct. So so the facts could last twenty seconds, I could last five seconds, it could last a minute and a half. But he is impressive. It's fun to try to stump him. Uh, and it's cool, you know what. And if he doesn't know the answer, he just says, I don't know the answer.
He just doesn't know the answer. But he hasn't said that to me yet, which is crazy. Okay. Yeah, so oh, Kyle saying, Kyle saying we got him. Okay, Hey, Ryan Guy, how are you doing by right? Guy? Hey? Pal, hey pal, Hey, come on this thing? Guys you're on? Do you need food and water? Okay? So, so quickly, thank you for taking our call. Ry guy. I told you a couple of days ago we might be calling you. Uh. Nineteen seventy eight. What we do today? What Wimbledon? Keep this
America devo? Throw them, throw them out. We want to throw you out. A year in a sport in who won the slam Dunk Contest? The year that's spud Web competed my spud Web one. You're trying to trying to stuff about the dominic Wilkins. What happened in nine NHL n h L the Monshreal Canadians won the Stanley Cup. It was their third consecutive Stanley Cup. They ended up winning in seventy nine as well, and that was their twenty first Stanley Cup. They won seventy nine, eighties six,
and ninety three, so they have twenty four Cups total. Wow. Five Baseball, of course, George Bratt won his only World Series with the Kansas City Royals. I mean classic, Yes, how does he do it? It's pretty impressive. Let's go. We'll give us anything. We don't care. Atlanta Braves won their title in ninety five. They were gonna have one up against the Cleveland Indians. Cleveland Indians went to the
World Series twice in the nineties and ninety seven. The Braves went numerous times but ended ye see there he goes again. We had to just hang up on all we needed to know. All we asked was what happened. We don't need an essay. He gives us an essay and like it was like a college thesis. We're done with that. But hey, it was a cool fact. It was It was a cool fact. We were gonna have to apologize to him. Hopefully he'll continue to take recalls. We'll send him a hay Pal t We'll send him
a hay Pal something. I know. We got it. We've got an episode to do. That's right. Our first guest, our first effort. How do we do this? Dave? This is so cool. He's a pal, He's a well there you go. He he is a pal. So our first guest on this show, which we are about to introduce. Um is a three time, three times, three time Super Bowl champion. He is a super Bowl MVP and is also the second most productive receiver in post season his tree only behind Deavo Jerry Rice, greatest of all time.
How is that even possible? I mean, this guy have Julian Edelman on our podcast today? We do, and he is an incredible competitor, uh, an incredible guy and he's a beast. He's a he's an absolute beast, you know. So we kind of had a little inspiration to make this because we're in quarantine. So day before we bring
Julian in, you know, how are you doing? And have you ever thought about like the whole quarantining thing and who you would quarantine with if you could just pick anybody in the world, and and and all that stuff. How are you doing? First of all, I'm doing good. Aside from being next to you, I'm doing great. As our audience is found out and uh, you know, it's
been an interesting time, lots of reflection. I think a lot of people are are are are reflecting on things that they've done or things that they want to do. And hopefully this just kick starts the world and when we call come back together, it'll be a big Kumbaya moment. That is true. That is true. Well, and this is a good time to give a shout out to our producer who's gonna be our guy all way through, Kyle Tequila. He has just told me that Julian Edelman is ready,
So please welcome to the podcast, the Hey Pal Podcast. Yes, Mr Julian Edelman, Julian, how you doing. I'm doing as good as you can get. There you go, buddy, there you go? All right? Well, Julian, we were we were just talking. David and I were just talking about if we had to quarantine with with one person in the entertainment industry or the sports world that we do not know. Okay, we have never met them, We personally have no idea
how they are. Um, who would we quarantine with? So we wanted to start off by asking you who would you quarantine with? And you gotta take all the factors into consideration. You know, are you gonna get along with them? Are you guys compatible? You know? Is it a guy? Is it a girl? Who would you quarantine with? If you have never met this person? Easy? Right off my mind. Clint Eastwood, Wow, I love that I determined he was.
I just had an epiphany. But I would say, you know, if you're on some kind of ranch quarantine with someone, I would love to pick his brain. Just over the years, I've been watching all his old movies, dirty Hare. There's so much time that we have right now because of this. Uh, It's given me the ability to go and watch a bunch of movies that you know, my parents watched, and my brother watched. He was a little older than me,
so he just seems like a pretty interesting guy. And and reading up on him a little bit here and there, he just it would be you wouldn't even have to talk, and it probably be just fun just chilling him. You know what's so wild? Jewels is um. I've met him a couple of times. And the reason I've met him is because, and this is the craziest thing everyone, I'm
gonna tell you this. He goes to Coachella, to the to the to the festival, and he goes to the Neon Neon Carnival party and literally he just cruised around and is the coolest thing on earth. Sometimes he's s cruising around smoking a cigar and like people are like, I think people are so shocked, Like I don't even think people bother him because they can't. They can't believe it he's there, you know what. I have one story.
The only time I ever met him was like two thousand eleven, and I was I was early in my career with the Patriots, and uh, I was living in Brentwood, and I would go to the Whole Foods at the hot food section at night like nine o'clock right before it closed and Living with a Bachelor and I get in line for the hot food section and it's no one else other than Clint Eastwood right in front. He didn't say anything, he had no clue who I was, but he gave me a look that I just I
was like, yep, you too. Just it was cool. And you know, I've always been a fan of his stuff, and he's a he's a legend. So is there one movie of his that stands out for you, Like, what's your favorite classroom? Being from the Bay Area, I loved Escape from Alcatraz. That movie. Uh, you know, if it's on,
I can't turn it off. It was on always when I was a kid a little bit, and I just remember it just has that I mean, the music of like nineteen those those nineteen seventies films and and and just the the shots that he got in at Alcatraz was something that you know, I can appreciate just being from there. So I was always infatuated with like prison, Alcatraz, prison history. So right now, that's awesome speaking of prison. Ironically enough, the person that I would want to be
quarantined with I can't because he's incarcerated. Is Joe exotica? Of course? Uh? Right now, how did you call him Joe exotica? I think it sounds a little bit better, Joe exotica. Yeah, I'm broken ship. I've had some kinky sex. I have tried drugs. I have a judgment against me from some bitch down there in Florida. But no, actually, I probably And this one's kind of funny and I've given it some thought. But Donald Trump, Now, the reason
for that, if there's a reason, there's a reason. The reason for that is because I would want to take his phone away so I could so I can control his Twitter and I could tweet whatever the heck I want to tweet and talk about, So that would be mine. How about you? That's fair? That's fair? Um? I would
I think I would go with Uh. I think I would go kind of similar to Julian and I would go like like a Michael Jordan, you know, somebody that I grew up admiring and that I could just like, you know, hammer away a questions and questions and be like, what was it like a ninth grade and tenth grade when you got cut? You know your work ethic after that and so on and so on, Like I think that would be a a cool moment, But we also have to think, like we're in quarantine, So is MJ
really gonna give me that much time? Are we gonna cook meals together? Like? What's going on? Him? Jay like to compete. That's all he would want to do. Competition. He is an absolute beast and a quick Jordan's story. He has a property in Utah and he used to have these crazy poker games at his house, and people that played in those games, they would tell me like sometimes he would not let them leave for like three days until he might beat them. Well, David, I think
I think you can attest to my competitive nature. So it's like we would just we would go at it. Maybe that's a bad thing for the quarantine. It would probably be a bad thing, but you know, it's not a bad thing. It's not a bad thing. David. We're about to have a historic moment on the Haypal podcast. I like this. We are about to take our first ever commercial break. Wow, our first ever no spa. Oh you know what else We're gonna do? What besides never
talk Spanish again? Because I don't understand what you're saying we're all is. We're also when we get back with Mr Edelman here is we're gonna have our first ever hey Pal penalty box, and we're gonna put Mr Edelman up in that thing. That's right, We're putting my guy in the hot seat, the Haypal penalty box. Let's do it. We'll be back. Wow, Dave, that was you were right. That was monumental. It was historic. It was historic where the big bucks are jared, more money, more problem problems.
That is so true. Let's get back to uh mr Mr Edelman here, that's right now. I can't say enough great things about my guy. I've been blessed to be a buddy of his for a few years. What are you are you going on a ranch right now? I'm just getting emotional. I thought we were coming back from our first historic break right. What a great guy? Alright? LLL cool j is Julian. I hope you appreciate the
ladies love cool Julian. And uh, not only is the tremendous athletes are just a great person, uh great father. The guy knows how to have fun. And I don't want to embarrass you, buddy, but when we were at Super Bowl this year. And you know, I posted a couple of photos on Instagram and some stories. I got an unbelievab amount of d m s from women saying, Dave, who's your friend? Uh? Hot women not hot women, large women not large women. Women love Julian Edelman, Jared, I'm
telling you, well, guess what. I love Julian Edelman too. That's the thing here. Here's the main question though, Julian is how do you love a guy that wears sunglasses inside? Can we get him to take this and the flyers gear off? Well, there is an old saying, when you're cool, it's always sunny. Yeah, I love it. See that's my boy, that's my pal. Okay, now now I can see why why Julian is on the show and why you got
that is my pal. And you know what else? One thing I did forget to mention he's also extremely sensitive. I mean, by the way we are sitive, we are sensitive. He you are sensitive. Don't laugh. He's written a series of children's books. I mean, how amazing is that? I actually really respect that Dave and I connected fifteen years ago, and it was because of our love for sports, and
the other fiftent was our sensitivity. It was that. And also the great thing about this is that Jared Julian can only read it a second grade level, So your books are gonna be awesome for him. All right, so now it is time for the hey Pal penalty box. I'm asking a series of questions. You just answer as quickly as possible whatever comes to mind. Pizza or a cheeseburger burger? Come on, amateur, are you wow? Are you a nine O two one? Oh? Seinfeld or friends? Guy Seinfeld?
Who's your favorite Sinfeld character? Probably Costanza? Okay, I like it? Cowboys or Eagles? What I thought I was gonna get him to say it. Who was your childhood TV crush? Childhood t I actually loved what's your I mean, we all love him? Landerson? Yeah, c J Kelly Kapowski, she was hot. It's such a great pick. Julie Edelman, that is a great pick. That's all I got. That's all
I got. Next, alright, alright, I like it. And last question, as far as your super Bowl rings, would you be more likely to wear a super Bowl ring on a first date? Uh? Taking it to a movie premiere and wearing it or at a sporting event like banquet. I'm bringing it to the banquet. I'm not wearing anywhere else. All Right, We've got We've got a classy guy one. I love it. I love its human things are like brass knuckles and the things are like this big. Do
you ever wear all three at the same time? I mean I have just like dick around, but never out. I've never I never wanted one out. Yeah, oh wow, all right, other than like going to like a banquet, Yeah, because that's what you know, the kid you go to like a fundraise or something. All the kids all they want to see that kind of stuff. So I'm not gonna wear it too a red carpet or or a first day. Um. Now, Jules, you grew up in Cali. Uh.
You went to college at Kent State in San Mateo. Uh, And a lot of people might not know that you were actually a quarterback in college and growing up. So my question, I want to know it. Eleven years old, eleven year old Julian Edelman, who would have been a better quarterback Julian Edelman, Michael Vick or your former teammate Tom Brady and eleven years old I was running back at eleven Those guys probably would have killed me. When So when did you make the transition then over to
QB high school? So high school I went to UH I started playing quarterback. Um, but as as a running back, I mean as a Pop Warner player. When I was eleven, I was pretty beastly big. Probably has some crazy tape. I mean, Tommy, he was, you know, at twelve. I don't know. I think I may have. Who knows you had the adge? I think you had the adge of twelve jewels at twelve at running back? In athleticism, I
probably had him. Yeah, but if you shot at basketball with them or did something kind of skillful, he'd probably kill you. Love it? I love it? Um. Okay. So, so, Julian, you can't pick. We're we're gonna We're gonna let you play GM right now. Okay, And you have the number one and number two pick in the draft. You have to pick a quarterback and you have to pick a receiver. The only the only stipulation here is that you cannot pick any teammate or X teammate that you have ever had.
So we're letting you pick any current player. We need a QB and we need a receiver who's Julian Edelman taking that he has never played with, never played with, no teammate, um now in the league now or or or played football or is this let's let's go let's go to last. Since you've been in the league, so let's go to last. Um. I think honestly, yeah, you have to go with with with with the flow of how things have been going. I mean Patrick Mahomes, he lit it up last year. He'd be uh, he's I
mean he's he's doing very well. And he's a good kid. He's a good face. Uh, you know for a foreign organization, with how he handles himself off the football field, and you know, I think he's just he's a stud um at receiver. Uh that's a loaded question. Um. I mean you got a lot of good receivers. Des Bryant No Cowboys, cow Boys. I mean I'm gonna I'm gonna jump. I'm gonna go with with the trends right now. To also in say, Michael Thomas works his tail off. He I
mean he catches the ball. I mean he's he broke he broke a crazy record this last year. I mean he was getting like averaging ten balls a game. And when a guy can do that when teams know the ball is going to him. Uh, you know, with basically putting your coverage for a guy like him the whole game, regardless of if it's man on man his own. Everyone's looking at Michael Thomas and him to put up those types of stats. I mean, it was pretty remarkable. And
I think those two guys, you know, our studs. But here, here's here's my question. We like to debate things on this show. Is are you going with Patrick Mahomes? Knowing listen, he's from He's from Texas, I'm from Texas. I love Patrick Momas. But are we really gonna go with Patrick Mahomes as our first pick when he's only been doing it for two years over somebody like Breezes or Rogers. Uh, if this is your team for only one year, well
we're not looking longevity just one year. I mean those I mean, those those are those are all those quarterbacks are good? Um, but I'm I'm I'm doing with my Omes. He's sticking my Homes. I like it. I'll tell you a story that uh, ray lewis the great you know,
one of the greatest defenders of all time. Um. He was asked a question similar to this, but he was asked what it was like playing against Peyton Manning and what it was like playing against Tom Brady, and he said, playing against Peyton Manning, he goes, oh, man dog, playing against Peyton Manning, that's checkers. That's checkers. He goes, playing against Tom Brady, he goes, that's chess. Just a completely different game, you know what I mean. So very interesting
and great question. You can't notify a question like that, you know, oh one year So I'm thinking GM, I agree, I agree. This is why I don't even like this guy, Julian way to defend yourself here, putting flames out there. Now, I'm gonna have people hit me up all your Yeah, exactly, this is why he's a jerk. I don't even like the guy. I don't even know why we're doing a show together. He's a cowboy fan. That should tell you enough,
right there? Um, all right, now, my next question, uh, one actor that you would pick to line up on the other side of the ball for an entire season and actor and it cannot be Clint Eastwood based on what you said earlier. So wait, so I'm going against them yes with me? No? No, no no, no no, no, they're playing with you. They're playing with you. Their teammates. One guy, one actor you want to go to battle with for an entire season. I mean, you gotta go with Boston's
finest wall book, Vince Papaula. Yes, that's actually that's a great choice, day though, Mark, that's a great one. He's competitive to and he's you know, he's got a little he got a little he's got be dogging him all right. Um, Julian, I wanted to upset the playoffs. We're gonna do one verse eight, two, verse seven, three, six, four five, Only it's not your typical playoffs. It's football movies, and we want to see who's gona win the Super Bowl here.
So the number one seed was handed to none other than Jerry McGuire and he's facing off against the eighth seed Little Giants. Who's advancing between Jerry McGuire and Little Giants or Ice Box tough man? Um? I think, yeah, I might have age bias now, but I think you gotta go Jerry McGuire. So I want everybody to home to realize that took Julian a long time. So, like the eighth seed almost squeaked out of victory there. That's
a lot closer than what Lady Giants. I prayed when I was a kid, after watching like professional and Mitt Smith coming off the box or coming off the bus, I prayed for that scenario to happen, that like a bunch of pros would come off a bus and just come to our little football practice. I mean, that was such a huge movie. And I'm, you know, thirty four or thirty three this year, so that was like writing
my bread butter. I couldn't agree more. I love Little Giants. Okay, So now we've moved on to the two seed versus seventh seed. The second seed who's advancing? Uh here In Julian Edelman's football movie Playoffs, remember the Titans is at the second seed, and Any Given Sunday came in the seventh seed. Remember the Titans not even close? All right? So you love Any Given Sunday is a good movie,
But I mean, remember the Titans. I I shed multiple tears like a fourteen year old boy on Thanksgiving watching that movie as our family watched together. Man, I mean, I agree. So the one seed in the two seeds have advanced so far, so we've got the three versus the sixth seed. Julian three is Rudy and the sixth seed is Varsity Blues. I wish the audience right now, I wish, I actually wish for a second we were a visual because they could see Julian and I'll paint, Oh, man,
I you know what those are? These are some This is great seeding and these are some great rounds. Yeah, you know I I was always a huge Rudy fan. I love that movie. I mean that the music of that movie. I used to listen to Pregame in college, just like South Bend, Notre Dame, the whole history of that, and I mean the acting was was good with what's his name and the Varsity Blues, like you guys are
hitting it like there's nostalgia and there's like entertaining. So you gotta go Rudy, all right, He's going with the heart, Rudy, Rudy, Jules is going with the heart. I like that he's going with the heart. I will let you know, Julian that you have picked the one seed, the second seed, and the three seeds. So there's been no upset so far. Hey, first round, we'll see. First round. It is what it is Okay, so we've got the fourth seed versus the
fifth seed. Four seed is coming in at Friday Night Lights and the fifth seed is coming up at none other than Hey, pal, friend and future guest, Adam Sandler's water Boy. Yes, water Boy, we've got it. Upset water Boy, I will go get you. Amazing, that's why you don't do crack. No. Water Boy is legendary. I would say, it's like I'm gonna do la Oh. I love that. It's so, it's so good. Sandler is so good. Okay, I'm gonna get David. I'm gonna give you the chance.
Do it? Do we continue or do we go to you? And then we come back to this. Let's take a little break. Let's take a little break on the take a little break, and Julian, by the way, I think we're all gonna watch water Boy tonight. By the way, we are, definitely, I think that's gonna happen. Okay, when we come back, though, the four remaining UH team's left and I still love Farsity Blues Bob. Yeah. Actually, you know, Julian, James vanderbe because a friend of ours as well, So
he's gonna be he's gonna be on the show. Um, yeah, Vanderbeek is an awesome, awesome dude, really good dude. Part of my childhood with freaking I mean, I didn't watch it, but you knew, you knew who that guy was, Like he was like he was killing me. Are you feeling that, Dave? I mean, I can't say it's the hay past. It is funky, right, our boy Max Chucker and his partner Peyton made that song for us, and uh wow, I mean that is awesome. I'm digging in all right, this question.
It's it's a little bit emotional. It pulls on the heartstrings a little bit. Where were you and who were you with when you got that call when you got drafted? Yeah, Um, I was with a small group of friends, uh and and my my immediate family. Um and I was at my house and we were throwing a little barbecue, just kind of keeping it, you know, close knit. And it was one of those things where I wasn't, you know,
necessarily guaranteed to be drafted. I was. We we knew that we could be in the sixth or seventh round, but there was also a possibility that I could be a priority free agent, and you know, uh, on that day, I finally got a block call from you know, from
the Patriots, and the rest is history. And it was honestly probably one of the you know, the coolest, coolest days ever, just because what people don't realize when you're an athlete, and you know, especially with in your lives, you have so many people that are in your corner that have helped you get to where you've gotten and they continue to help you to strive for what you want.
And you know, to have my family there who's basically been the rock that has helped me get to where I'm at in my life, um there and and and share that moment for them to see that their their look on their face and there you know, how how they reacted. It was you know, it was it was a fun special day that uh, you know, we'll never forget.
I'll never forget at least. Yeah. I mean, it's it's incredible seeing the emotion that goes through people and and and how it kind of just it's just overwhelming, you know. And it's really an incredible day because it's not only an amazing day for the player themselves, but like you said, for the friends and family that have stuck by them all those years for the parents that you know, drove them to practices and clean their uniforms and did all
that stuff. It's just amazing when when it happened, and I love that the Patriots called from a block number, by the way, that's such a patriot thing to do right there. Um, when it happened, did you feel like you were gonna pass out? Did you feel like? What was your body like? Was it like an outer body experience?
What was that actual feeling like? Um? I got I got nervous, um just because uh, you know, everyone's happy and everyone was ecstatic and and so was I. But then you know, reality hits, and you know I was entering a chapter in life that I was I was not wasn't accustomed to and I was a quarterback, never played receiver, and I had all these thoughts going through my mind. Can I do this? Can I make the team? I know I got drafted the seventh round. Does he make the team? Do they make the team? We got
a bunch of guys. That's Randy Moss's West Welk or that's Joey Galloway. Rely smokes. What am I gonna do? I don't want to let the people, all these people down that are here right now. And I guess that's the old Jewish worries and me bumps, but you know, that's life. I feel. I feel like, could you do you think that you could? Liken? I'm putting you on the spot here Devo for all the audience members. This was not scripted at all, and putting Dave on the spot,
Let's see if he can perform? Can you like in an actor, you know, and that kind of career to Julian's like becauld You know, you know how much I love sports and no sports, and Julian I knew who he was, right I didn't really know who he was though, and that means you know that you know too to what he was saying. He was end up being seventh round. He doesn't even know is he gonna make the team. He's not gonna make team, and now he's worked his ass off to become, I mean, arguably one of the
greatest to ever do it at his position. Can you like like to give an example who came to my mind was kind of like a shy La buff, you know. And the reason I said Shia is because Shia, just like Julian at Kent State was probably the stud Shia and even Stevens. You know, everyone in the Disney world knew who he was, but the world didn't know who
Shia was yet. And then Shia worked his ass off, worked his ass off, and then all of a sudden he got on the Big Boy stage and like was Transformers and Indiana Jones and like everybody knew who Shia was. You know, yeah, no, I I think I think it's very interesting and I think that you know, getting those
phone calls, especially when people have dreamed about it. I mean, you know, Julian's talking about watching Little Giants and dreaming that he could see you know, NFL players come to his practice, so so you know, it was something that he always wanted, was something that he always thought about and to get there. The emotion of that, and same with an actor that puts the work in and you know that an artist that really really knows what they want to do getting that phone call, you know, the
way that their body must feel. Imagine being able to call your mom and dad and saying I auditioned for that movie and I got that part. Like those have to be some of the greatest moments in life. For people, you know, and I think it's really really cool. Yeah, Julie, are you a Shyla Buff fan? I am? You know he I just saw that recent one he did, the
Peanut Butter Falcon. It is so awesome. You know, he's a you know and lawless and in a bunch of his movies, Like I can't name him off the top of my head, but he just seems that you can just tell that guy works hard at what he does because you always you always believe who he is, you know, in that kind of role and you know, just reading up on him with how what is he like a method actor? And he stays in the role and like, I think that's badass. So that's a fan of them
and the movies he picks. And he was in the Indiana Jones one this and I used to watch even Stevens too a little bit, you know, just transform into what he's become. You know, that's that's a lot of pressure for those those kid actors that you know, do big when they're young and then to be able to transform into something when they're older and get away completely from that. There's a generation probably as he wasn't even on that so that's pretty cool. Yeah, yeah, I agree.
Do you want to go back to let I'm fired up. I never see him that's excited. He's he's getting it. Let's got fired up, and I'm so excited that we're, you know, talking to such a great guy, an athlete and also somebody that loves what we love. He loves film. I mean he's got a production company. Uh, he's got big plans. He had an amazing documentary that came out. So it's really cool to be able to talk to somebody that loves film and sports as much as we do. Okay,
so we're back to the playoffs. Yes, we're back to the playoffs. Okay, So we've got the one seed is now going to have to play the five seed, Julian. So we've got Tom Cruise and Jerry McGuire is facing off against Adam Sandler and water Boy who is advancing in this scenario? Whoa, whoa. Okay, so we've got Bobby, We've got an underdog who is advancing to the to the super Bowl. Okay, so water Boy, uh, Jerry McGuire is out, and now we've got the second seed versus
the third seed. Uh. Mr Edelman we've got remember the Titans, and we've got Rudy who is going to the super Bowl? Is going to the Super Bowl? Baby, I don't want to make this call. That's a tough one, man. That's when they came together as a team. I mean, that movie hits you on so many different levels, Like especially as a football player, I've literally felt the same feelings of watching that, like seeing like when you experience and feel a team coming together, you know, especially with the
circumstances that they were under. I mean that that's a good movie. Do you, Julian do you remember um Ryan Gosling in the movie? Yeah? I do. He was a little he got benched, probably the coolest thing. But yeah, that was he was good. The large dude was was good. Who Sunshine was good. I don't know the guy's name. My buddy, My buddy, Donald phaze On is actually in that in that movie. Donald is Yeah, he's yeah, they're
all the characters are just so good. Denzel's I think he's I'm such a fan of him as well, you know it, Denzel Actually that would be who I would play my football season with. Cold. Yeah, all right, let's come back to the championships. Since it's it's been, it's been so good, and yes, all right, we're almost to the end.
