¶ Practicing 'vermieten' in Present Tense
Let's do some verb juggling and accelerate your fluency. How would you say I let? Ich vermiete. How would you say she lets? How would you say, I let an apartment? How would you say I let a house? How would you say I let my apartment? Ich vermiete meine Wohnung. How would you say I let my house? Ich vermiete mein Haus. You see, mein Haus. Mein without ending. Meine Wohnung. Die Wohnung. Female. So we add an I.
Die Wohnung. Meine Wohnung. Das Haus neuter. No ending. Mein Haus. Ich vermiete mein Haus. How would you say he lets his apartment? Er vermietet seine Wohnung. You see, seine, his, seine Wohnung, his apartment. Er vermietet seine Wohnung. How would you say he lets his apartment in Zürich? How would you say he lets his apartment in Basel? How would you say she lets her house in Basel? Sie vermietet ihr Haus in Basel. You see, her house, ihr Haus. How would you say she let her apartment in Basel?
¶ Using 'vermieten' in Perfect Tense
How would you say, I've let or I let in the past? Ich habe vermietet. You see, vermietet is the participle. Vermietet. Ends with a T, but there's no G-E. is an inseparable prefix. There's no space for the G. Vermietet. Ich habe vermietet. I let. How would you say I let the apartment? Ich habe die Wohnung vermietet. How would you say I let the house? Ich habe das Haus vermietet. How would you say she let the house in Basel? Sie hat das Haus in Basel vermietet.
You see, vermietet is kicked to the end, the second verb. Sie hat das Haus in Basel vermietet. Whenever you have two parts of verbs, the second one is kicked to the very end. She has already let the house in Basel. Sie hat das Haus in Basel schon vermietet. Already, yet. Now the order is not so important. You can say, sie hat schon... How would you say she let her house in Basel? Sie hat ihr Haus in Basel vermietet. How would you say she has let her house in Basel last week?
sie hat ihr haus in basel letzte woche vermietet letzte woche last week how would you say she has let her house in basel Sie hat ihr Haus in Basel letzten Monat vermietet. Letzte Woche But letztenmonat, with EN because it's acutative. Letztenmonat. Letzte Woche. How would you say, he has let his apartment in Zürich last month.
