Speaker 1

Hey, it's Alec Baldwin. This past season on my podcast, here's the thing, I spoke with more actors, musicians, policymakers, and so many other fascinating people like jazz bassist Christian McBride.

Speaker 2

Jazz is based on improvisation, but there's very much a form to it. You have a conversation based on that melody and those core changes. So it's kind of giving someone a topic and say, okay, talk about this. I don't really know what I'm going to say, but you know enough about this subject that you can just have an open conversation about it. So that's what jazz is.

Speaker 1

And comedian and actor Caroline Ray, you're most comfortable when you're on stage.

Speaker 3

Yeah, I feel like I always think my stand up is a dinner party. I know what I'm gonna make, you're my guests. I don't know what's going to happen. But the thing about stand up that amazes me is it's only going to happen in that moment in time. Even if we film it, it's never going to be what it feels.

Speaker 1

Like live and Secretary to the Governor and the most powerful unelected person in New York State government. Melissa de Rosa. Do you think Trump's going to win?

Speaker 4

I do, yes, I mean, and you've got Jill Stein just announced Joe Manchin's retiring. What's he up to these battleground state poles this far out? I know everyone wants to be dismissive of them. I think we should be sounding the alarm. Think unless we make some changes fast, and we start to engage with real people and get more in tune with what matters to them, mainly pocketbook issues, I think we're looking at an upset and I'm not sure this country can survive another four years of Donald Trump.
