Hey, it's Alec Baldwin on this season of Here's the Thing. I speak with more actors, musicians, writers, policymakers, and so many other fascinating people like comedian Tim Dillon. I couldn't tell you my congressman. I know every major d of every restaurant. I know who's working Craig's. I know who's working. You know all the places I want to go. Who's in with you? We're gonna go to Craig's. Host of the Talk, Amanda Clutes. I did Broadway for seventeen years.

When you do that, it kind of prepares you for anything in life in a way. You know you're at an audition. Can you do this? And you just say yes because you realize you gotta learn the spot. You gotta say yes in order to get a job, and you just got to learn and teach yourself as you go. Musician Todd Rundgren, people started referring to me as the male Carol King, which is a high compliment, but also

I don't want to be compared to other people. Eventually people who will be compared to me, but I don't want to be aired to anything before and the multi talented musician and actor Stephen van Zandt. When it comes to performing, that's just like a vacation for me that you know, whether it's acting or whether it's being a rock star on stage, you know that stuff is just nothing but fun for me. The real work is looking at a blank piece of paper and creating something from it.
