In the early 90s, Pedro abandoned the account books for a role in a local theatre company. Since then the only counting he does these days is of his growing collection of theatre masks.

Pedro has collected nearly a hundred theatre masks over the past 15 years - from South America to Bali, to New Zealand.

Pedro recently became what he calls the kaitiaki of about 40 intricately carved wooden masks - a prized personal collection of one of New Zealand's' theatre stalwarts- William Farrimond.
