Alturas, Florida, October 1988, Peggy Carr goes to work at the dinner she works at when she starts experiencing extreme fatigue, burning feet and numb hands. She is in incredible pain and eventually seeks medical help. Doctors can't figure out what's making her sick. Then more members of the family start experiencing the same symptoms as Peggy. Months earlier the Carr family had received a threatening note in the mail with no return address or senders' name.
