Twilight's friends told police that was a regular thing for her, that when she wanted to sneak out, she would run the shower to cover the fact that she was slipping out the door or opening and going through the window. According to police reports, when Twilight left her house that night, she was wearing pajamas and was barefoot, but when her body was found on September tenth, two thousand and one, Twilight was wearing a high school jersey with the number

ten on the back and her blue jeans. Investigators have said they believe Twilight knew the person that she was heading out to meet, but Twilight went to Greenwood High School and the jersey was from Edmonton High School. We've been diving into rumors of an older crowd, a methring, and a mysterious white truck, among other leads, and trying to decide who's behind those black boxes on a redacted police report, to see if we can find out if one of them knows who put Twilight in those woods.

I have received hundreds of messages from people all around the country asking for help with an unsolved murder that's affected them, their families, and their communities.

Trip On september twenty, fourth two thousand and, one police executed a search warrant On twilight's family, home where she lived with her, Dad bobby and her Stepmother, linda covering both their home and their two. Vehicles police were looking for the home, computer the one That twilight had used to communicate with the guy In, cincinnati but police also said in their warrant application that the home should be considered a crime scene since it

was the last place Where twilight was seen. Alive they took The dell computer that she had been using to communicate with this guy In, Cincinnati, ohio Who twilight's friends said was twenty four years. Old they also took, cassettes, videos and some Of twilight's other personal. Items as we said last, week police went through her email, communications but they found nothing that would indicate that this guy In cincinnati had anything to do With twilight's. Disappearance they also

went to his house In ohio they interviewed. Him they confirmed that he was not in town around the time When twilight went, missing so to have been ruled. Out but wild detectives were going Through twilight's. Room they also found something, Else twilight's, diary and in that diary were details of a rave party that she went to On, Saturday august twenty fifth In. Lexington they found a folder with directions to that rave. Party it was held at

a place called The force near the. Airport it's frustrating, because like a lot of the cases we, cover there are no hard, facts just rumors that circulate from people in.

Town the main rumors seemed to involve a few, themes one That twilight was killed by the guy she was talking to on the, internet which, again after reading through this, case while it seems like police ruled, out another is That twilight was killed over drugs and that she was shot in the, chest but the autopsy reports indicates that there was a knife present at the scene and doesn't mention a. Gun some people indicated that they Believed twilight accidentally,

overdosed but that doesn't seem to match the evidence of the crime scene police found rope and duct. Tape we're going through the rumors one by, one and one of them is That twilight hung out with an, older fast crowd a, lot that there was drug, use and that she went to this rave party and that something bad happened. There Could twilight have gotten into an altercation with someone at that, party something that spilled over From saturday night

into the school. Week we needed to get past that third hand info and go back to the redacted police report and see if we could figure out who the last people to See twilight alive actually. Were through our, digging we found out one of the last people to See twilight alive that night was a friend of hers Named. Amanda she was a student At Anchored Christian academy at the. Time amanda told police she had Known twilight for around four.

Years she described herself As twilight's best. Friend amanda had more details about that rave. Party she said that she Saw twilight The saturday before she, disappeared before the rave. Party she said they went to The Greenwood mall together and That twilight was talking about her plan to go

to the. Rave twilight's friends also told police that she had a group of older friends that consisted of guys and, girls but were not sure who she actually hung out with at the, rave other than the fact that she went there with a girl From Warren Central High, school and she later told her friends that while she was at the, Party twilight met two guys and was trying to score. Acid amanda didn't go to the, party but she said she talked To twilight about the party at

school On. Monday twilight was Telling amanda she took a lot of drugs at that. Party she said she took, acid, ecstasy and heroin and felt pretty hungover and rough all day On. Sunday, Actually amanda said That twilight went home early from school On monday because she still felt pretty rough from the, party But twilight was back at school On tuesday and presumably feeling, better and according To, amanda there was no mention of anything going wrong at the

rave or of any drama going. Down amanda was With twilight on the night she. Disappeared that, Night august twenty, eighth two thousand and, One amanda said they walked to a friend's house whose name was, redacted at around seven. Pm, now this match is the timeline Of twilight telling her dad and stepmom that she had dinner with a. Friend After twilight had dinner with a, friend she went back

to her. House amanda then went over To twilight's house and they walked together to The plano, store and, then according To, amanda they went over to another friend's house whose name is also. Redacted they arrived at that friend's house at around seven forty five to eight.

she had been talking to on the. Internet twilight said that that guy had been acting strange and wasn't really talking to her. Now amanda also mentioned someone, else someone who she Said twilight was sexually interested, in someone who drove a big white, truck possibly with an extended. Cab you may remember from last week that police interviewed people who live near the area Where twilight's remains were. Found they said they saw a white truck one they didn't

recognize in that area After twilight. Disappeared the question is could this have been the same white. Truck amanda said she worried sometimes About. Twilight she worried something bad would happen to her because she Said twilight was really. Open twilight had a habit of meeting strangers at The plano

store and sometimes inviting them to hang. Out After amanda And twilight were done hanging out at the unnamed friend's, House amanda said that this girl and her sister gave them a ride back To twilight's house because quote they didn't want them walking alone in the dark end Quote amanda told investigators they were hanging out in the car Near twilight's. House she Said twilight left the vehicle at nine thirteen. Pm amanda said she was sure of the time Because twilight had to be home at nine to.

Fifteen it was a two minute walk from where they were To twilight's. House, however there's another, witness the person who told police that he was at The plano store that same. Night he said he Saw twilight at nine to fifteen wearing her WHITE t shirt and checkered pajama. Bottoms this person told Police twilight told him she was going home to, Bed But twilight's parents said she came home after dinner with her friend and stayed. Home there's no mention of her going out With amanda after the

dinner to The plano. Store maybe they didn't know that she slipped, out or maybe the person at The plano store had the timing slightly. Wrong but if that's the, case at what point Did twilight put on her pajamas and when did she change? Clothes and the big question is who could have Called twilight from the phone booth that? Night did they kill her or could someone else have picked her up after she went? Out to meet the

person who called and intercepted her somehow or kidnapped. Her the case file keeps circling back to one, name a man Who twilight spent time with and who allegedly supplied her with methamphetamine and other. Drugs his name comes up again and again throughout the, investigation and we finally uncovered who he actually. Was the man who kept reappearing In twilight's case file was eighteen.

store and someone connected to a white. Truck police talked to people who lived near the land Where twilight was. Found the land was owned by a woman Named Evelyn, thurmott and more than one person around that area who police talked to said that they had seen a mysterious white. Truck one of them was another friend Of twilight's Named.

Matt matt was also friends With. Shae matt lived near the area Where twilight's body was, found and when police interviewed, him he told them about a White chevy four by four, truck possibly AS z seventy One he said he saw that vehicle driving slowly Down Old Matlock road On august twenty, ninth the day After twilight, vanished which he said he found. Odd matt told police this is one of those areas where everyone knows everyone's, vehicles so an unknown vehicle definitely sticks.

Out matt said he didn't recognize that, truck and he found it suspicious that it was there because this was a road not usually traveled unless you were a local. Resident according to the police, report there was a drivable path to the dried up pond Where twilight's body was, found but reading through the scene, description it seems as though that path would be something that only a local

or someone with familiarity with the area would. Know according to the police, report the detective Interviewing matt asked him if he had to pick one person in the world who he thought would have done something like, This matt, said without hesitation a. Name now that name is, redacted but from comments earlier In matt's, interview it appears that

he was talking About. Shae matt said that when he brought up the subject Of twilight's death in general conversation that this person who he suspected of being, involved got quote uncomfortable and tried to change the subject end. Quote police spoke to a woman Named Sylvia. Harris she also lived near the area Where twilight's remains were. Found she said that she had seen a full sized white truck driving down the road around the time When twilight's body was,

dumped and That shae was in the passenger. Seat she said that she stopped and asked him what he was doing. There he told her just looking at the, countryside which she said she thought was. Strange but there's no evidence That shae owned a white. Truck even if he, did hanging out at that scene isn't, proof And shay was not the only guy Whom twilight had been hanging out.

With last week we mentioned the police report talked about someone, else described as a local boy who hung out or lived near the area Where twilight's body was, found and this guy supposedly left town quickly After twilight's body was found and didn't come.

Her there was no follow up interview in the information we, have so we have no idea if police ever confirmed the information they got from some of these interviews or were able to rule things. Out let's go back to the Jersey twilight was found. Wearing it was a baseball jersey From Edmonton High. School police noted in their report that they had contacted the owner of the jersey and that he told them that at some point Before twilight's, murder he gave the jacket To.

GOODWILL i wondered if it would be possible to get some documentation of that, transaction like a, receipt but apparently this person told police they dropped the jacket in A goodwill collection. BOX i have no idea if police followed up on, that or if there was a way to follow up on. That it seemed like just another frustrating lead that seemingly led. Nowhere there was something else THAT i noticed buried in the police.

Know the report offers no hint that investigators ever followed, up no confirmation that they made, contact no record of, what if, anything that person had to, say and that silence leaves us with more questions hanging in the. Air twilight may have been loved by, everyone but some students At Greenwood High school didn't like. Her police talked to a young woman who Described twilight as. Headstrong she said

she was someone who had to have her. Way this girl said That twilight had a list of thirteen guys who she had sex, with and that she had hung out with someone in a Red. Corvette twilight's, friend who we talked to last, week Said twilight told her there was a specific girl who didn't like, her a person Named, amy, because according to the, Friend twilight told, Her amy didn't like her because she'd had a sexual encounter with a guy Who amy was dating and another. Guy could this

have been some kind of a revenge? Scenario did someone Lure twilight out that? Night because rope and duct tape and a mention of a knife used are not consistent with an accidental, Overdose this student made it seem like there may be young women at school who were jealous Of, twilight which got me, thinking Could twilight's killer have been? Female there were some things found at the crime scene that haven't been fully. Explained there was a can of.

Body in addition to, that there were also potentially a few things missing from the crime. There it would seem to make sense for her to go outdoors in pajamas and, Barefoot but if she took the time to get completely, dressed why would she not put on? Shoes and if she did put on, shoes where are? They in two thousand and, one police SENT dna evidence from the crime scene in for testing

with The Kentucky State Police Crime. Lab these included hair samples taken From twilight's.

arguing with an ex. Boyfriend they said they were driving past the stoor when they heard yelling and looked and Saw twilight talking to the guy next to his. Truck this person said. Quote Then twilight threw her hands up and turned the opposite direction and started to walk, away and that guy grabbed her shoulders and pulled her back, around and they continued to. Killing there's no evidence that she was anything other than a recreational drug, user and police have clearly said that her murder was a, homicide so not an accidental. Not in twenty twenty, One twilight's case was in the news again when it was reported that police had gotten another search warrant related To twilight's, murder this time from a local. Property police got the address from a. Tip that's pretty much all they said about the, Search but this tip happened because of local news stories about the case and The Warren County. Sheriff Sheriff High tower has been cooperative with the media and

has given them information over the. Years sheriff High toower Told The independent that this warrant was executed in conjunction with THE, fbi and, said, quote because of the size of this property and the expertise of some of their potential analysis using luminol and other resources they had, available we wanted to have them collect all the evidence end. Quote this is pretty, vague but luminol does suggest they

were looking for. Blood for those who aren't familiar with, It luminol uses a chemical that interacts with the hemoglobin in the, blood and when a special light is shined on, it it creates a blue tint indicating where blood is. Present, so according to the story And The, independent THE fbi collected the, evidence gave it to The Warren County sheriff's, office and sent it to the state. Laboratory as of twenty twenty, Three sheriff High tower said they were still

waiting for. Results at the, time the sheriff said they hoped they would get them in the next few, months but since then no one has said what the results of that testing. Were we've talked to a source who says that it was his uncle's property that was searched in twenty twenty. One he claims that another guy who Knew twilight tipped the police off about his. Uncle he, said framing his. Uncle but he claims that his, uncle who is now, deceased had nothing to do With twilight's.

Death so, what if, anything did they find at that. Residence The sheriff's department has not.
