Setting Up Your Mindset For Success
A quick episode about how to shape your mindset for success.
It just takes a while to change your brain training so that you start doing it.
To look at a glass half full. Not a glass half empty.
So change it, to focus on the things that you're doing and don't worry about the things that you haven't yet achieved. Because things that you're doing are still better than what you didn't do last week, if that makes sense.
Focus on what you are doing and not what you're not. For example, if you're talking about eating, maybe you're like, I was really naughty, I went out and had this big dinner of KFC and then I had ice cream, I feel so bad, like I shouldn't have done it.
Meanwhile the rest of the day, you probably started your day with really healthy and nutritious breakfast, then you want an exercise, you had a wonderful lunch, good snacks throughout the day and yet you're putting yourself down for the day that you didn't do well.
I tell a lot of my clients that they should be having to treat meals a week and not to count calories, not to even think about it. Just to go and enjoy it, because if you're doing well the rest of the week. Why focus on that?
Just have something enjoyable that you like doing and that you're proud of yourself for.
By thinking positive, you will start doing better, you'll start feeling better and you'll be able to achieve the goals.
So just hang in there, be positive and focus on things you are doing and don't even worry about the things you're not, it's a waste of energy, it's a waste of brain space.
It takes time to get places and to achieve what you want to do and especially if you're setting new habits and you're trying something new and really pushing past boundaries.
It takes time and you need to be patient with yourself and proud of yourself for everything that you do.
