How to jump back on the exercise bandwagon?


We are talking about, how to refocus on exercise again?

So most people go through phases or another of, you know, exercising heaps, being in a really good routine with it and then getting to the point where they just stop and it's really hard to get back to it and that's completely normal and you know, there's lots of reasons why this might happen.

That’s LIFE!

Maybe you just get really busy with work or family stuff, maybe you've been sick, maybe you've been injured, maybe you've just been flat out exhausted or you know, you've been distracted with other things totally normal.


Here are my tips on how to fix this and refocus on exercise:

1. Be kind to yourself.

Don't beat yourself up if you have fallen off the bandwagon because you’re normal. We've all done it. We want to motivate ourselves.


2. Having an accountability person.

So whether you've got your best friend, your partner. If you feel like there's no one like that in your life, hire a PT or a nutritionist or even like a life coach. Someone who can hype you up and get you going, tell them your goal, tell them what you want to do.


3. Make sure that you stick to what you say you're going to do.

Go through your goals. Constantly journaling and writing down goals. Look at ones that you've previously shared and think about, am I doing what I need to do to achieve this? Then you can review what did you achieve.


4. Just start.

Don't make it such a big scary thing and start small, like maybe it's a 10-minute walk for you.

Maybe you're going to do a 15-minute workout at home or follow a 15 min YouTube dance video and copy that.

Start today, start small, pick something that’s easy to do that you enjoy doing.
