Ep 5: All about PROTEIN

We are going to discuss protein.
Protein intake because this is a massive, massive, massive game changer when it comes to living a healthier life.
So it is really important to get it right and it makes the world of difference.Most females particularly, but also males that I talk to maybe eat 40% to 60% of their daily protein requirements.
So first things first, what is protein?
Its macronutrients. So our body has three macronutrients which is protein good fats and carbohydrates the body needs that to function and help it do all of the functions that it needs to survive basically.
So it's a really important one.
Protein comes from if you're looking at animal products, all your meats contain protein, also, eggs.
If you're looking at a more like a big and friendly side of things, your leg booms, lentils, chickpeas, green peas all come from protein as well and tofu as well.
Protein gives you energy. So if you have energy, you're going to have more physical energy, you're also going to have more mental energy. It helps you to concentrate and it helps you get through the day.
And as quick recap, start with one g per kilogram of body weight up to 1.5 and just look at adding it into every single meal that you have and snacks as well.
