Arnoldo Torres is a journalist, a public policy expert and the executive director for the California Hispanic Health Care Association. Arnold played a significant role in the debate surrounding the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) of 1986, which addressed civil rights protections, temporary workers and immigration legalization.
During this episode Arnold shares his background and the passion for his work being influenced by the Civil Rights Movement and the Vietnam War. He has continued his work with legislative bodies and politicians, using data to influence and advance important changes in government that can benefit the health and welfare of Latino Communities.
