With all the sophisticated technologies we are implementing, supporting or looking forward to in the future it is easy to maybe overlook the "routine". We have all learned though, complacency regarding the "routine" can often get people hurt. In fact an entire career field was launched over concerns that thousands of patients were being harmed due to electrical shocks from the very medical equipment that was meant to help them.
