HBI Podcast #33 - Lifting Technique, Being an Effective Practitioner and Experiential Learning
Episode description
In this episode, the lads cover a whole host of topics ranging from the form police, anti-manual therapists, experiential learning via mentorships and work, to fair analysis of literature, studies and anecdotes. The lads dissect each topic, have a good laugh and give their honest opinion on the aforementioned. A take home message from this podcast is that in order to truly determine whether allied health interventions work, is to trial them, collect data and weigh this up with what the ‘current literature’ says. For example, cupping literature, anecdotes and how they compare. Practitioners and academics are not the same, and therefore literature should be only part of the decision making process when it comes to best client management. The lads also cover their thoughts on marketing, content production and communication of profession based information.
