Episode description

Lindsay Weitzel, PhD, and Timothy Smith, MD, discuss an up-and-coming migraine device being developed by a company called Nocira. The device is the first to be granted "Breakthrough Device" designation by the FDA for the treatment of acute migraine. This means that the FDA has determined that Nocira's clinical trial data has shown their device to be a more effective treatment than other currently available drugs or devices. The National Headache Foundation first introduced you to this device in 2020 when Nocira's first round of very promising data was announced. Listen in to hear the awesome update on what this unique device that uses "Automated Variable Pulse Insufflation" into the ears, is doing for migraine patients in clinical trials.
