Welcome to Headfirst: A Concussion Podcast Episode 9 - Biomechanical Forces of Concussion.

In this episode we go through proposed recent AFL changes regarding contact training times and possibility of mandatory helmets in cleaned up. We review what is a concussion before discussing the gravitational forces required to cause a concussion and the supporting research. We touch on neck strength, helmets and Q-Collards seeing if they help reduce the risk of a potential concussion/ mild traumatic brain injury and lastly, we discuss Whiplash Associated Disorder and how it is intertwined with concussion.
