S4E8: From Hell (2001) Based on Jack the Ripper

This week, we talk about #FromHell , a 2001 period #detective #horror #film directed by the #HughesBrothers . It is loosely based on the graphic novel of the same name by #AlanMoore and #EddieCampbell about the #JacktheRipper #murd3rs . The film stars #JohnnyDepp as #FrederickAbberline , the lead investigator of the murders, and #HeatherGraham as #MaryKelly , a #sexworker targeted by the Ripper. Other cast members include #IanHolm , #RobbieColtrane , #IanRichardson and #JasonFlemyng . Last week, talked about #JacktheRipper was an unidentified #serialkiller active in and around the impoverished #Whitechapeldistrict of #London , #England , in 1888. In both #criminal case files and the contemporaneous journalistic accounts, the killer was also called the #WhitechapelMurderer and #LeatherApron .
