As we slide into a weekend, and a lot of folks like to treat themselves to, you know, maybe something on the weekends they wouldn't try to eat during the week. You know, behave your diet, but you let yourself get some ice cream. Well, just in time for the weekend, Instacart has out a list of the most ordered ice cream flavors in America and the biggest trending ice cream flavors in America.
And I really was not surprised at the flavors, although the trends I thought were a little unique. Now, the most popular flavor overall, you can probably guess what number one is. Here's your hint. It's not chocolate. So what's the other option to be number one? The classic, the customizable vanilla. Chocolate's number two. My personal favorite comes in at number three. Cookies and cream. It's just like my dating preference.
You get to mix a little bit of cookie and a little bit of cream, a little bit of vanilla, a little bit of chocolate. Strawberry is number four. Mint chip. Number five. Cookie dough comes in at six. I was kind of surprised that strawberry was that high above cookie dough. Rounding out the top 10, coffee, butter, pecan, Neapolitan, and peanut butter chocolate. Now, when you look at trending, the biggest trending flavors. Oh, really? Pineapple, coconut.
Okay. Saw a 37% boost in sales over a year ago. Pistachio flavored ice cream up 25%. Green tea up 24%. And another hot flavor that's trending right now. I have no idea what it is, but apparently it's called Dubai Chocolate, and that is a big hit right now. So maybe I'm gonna have to go try to try Dubai me some Dubai Chocolate. Yeah, I know, that was terrible. But, you know, it's always fascinating. You see these personality quizzes. What does your this say about you?
What does your that say about you? What does your ice cream flavor say about you? Listen up. For old haystack to crack open the morning six pack, these are gonna be the top six things that your favorite ice cream flavor says about you. Number six. If it's vanilla, it says, I always drive with my seat belt fastened and my hands at 10. 10. And two, if your favorite chocolate, I mean, if your favorite flavor is chocolate, it says, I may look like an adult, but I'm actually four years old.
Number four, if your favorite flavor, strawberry, it says, I want to eat, I want to eat healthy. Not really. Number three, Neapolitan means I can't make decisions. Number two, if your favorite flavor is coffee that says, I am a recovering alcoholic. Coffee flavored ice cream. Really? And the number one thing that an ice cream flavor says about you, if it's all the flavors smashed in one bowl and eating while crying in bed, it says, I just got dumb.
