It was a disappointing performance by the young Hawks in near perfect conditions on the Gold Coast. Despite a positive start, with the Hawks kicking the first three goals, they failed to deal with a focussed and hungry Suns team, that was desperate to avenge their own poor performance against Carlton the week previous.

HI hosts Ash Browne and Danny Prins tried their best to find the silver linings from the game, while not holding back on those who didn’t perform at the levels required or expected.
