In episode 168 of “Have Guitar Will Travel”, presented by Vintage Guitar Magazine, host James Patrick Regan speaks with guitarist Nick Maxwell from the band Shurr Jr. in their conversation Nick talks a little bit about his day job, living in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and then dives right in to talking about his band “Shurr Jr.” and how the band was formed with Nick’s brother Frankie on drums and sister Kelly on bass. Nick discusses the music scenes in Sioux Falls and Omaha, Nebraska. Nick tells us about their album “Red Shelter” and how they went about recording it and how they set up the record company to release it. Nick also explains his late father’s role in the band. Nick tells us about his gear including his father’s Martin which plays a big role on the album and he goes into great detail on his pedal board. Nick also explains how the band is their families business and what he does for fun in South Dakota.
