The idea is fairly straightforward, take a haunt that has had countless hours of time and attention to detail put into it and then turn off the lights (within reason) and have the customers experience it anew.
The business sense of this tradition is easy to see. It's a great way to extend the season, encourage repeat customers and it all comes at little to no costs. But are they really the best experience for customers?
