This Week's Crazy Episodes & The "Signal vs. Noise" Follow-Up

[SPEAKER_01]: time to fuel your business success. [SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to Harmonious at Lunch. [SPEAKER_01]: We're bringing you bite-size advice and expert conversations to drive clarity in gross five days a week. [SPEAKER_01]: Make sure you join our Facebook group at humanop.com slash lunch where listeners like you and our guests hang out so we can find our new business together. [SPEAKER_01]: If you're building a business, you're in the right place. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's dive in.

[SPEAKER_00]: Another weekly update to update. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to keep this one super quick. [SPEAKER_00]: I just want to jump in here and the four episodes that that aired this week were crazy. [SPEAKER_00]: We're all over the map with different topics. [SPEAKER_00]: We talked about profit. [SPEAKER_00]: We talked about canceling credit card debt, which is legal that I had no idea about. [SPEAKER_00]: fascinating episode on Tuesday, if you missed that one.

[SPEAKER_00]: And we talked about counting a bunch of different stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: I hope you enjoyed the episodes this week. [SPEAKER_00]: But I wanted to touch on what I talked about last week on the weekly update, which was the signal versus noise concept. [SPEAKER_00]: If you haven't heard about that, go back and listen to it before you listen to this one. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll make a whole lot more sense.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I looked at my calendar this week and I had a conversation with a another podcast host.

The Wake-Up Call: How Scheduling an Interview Exposed My Calendar Chaos

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to be a guest on that show in the, I think next week it is, or maybe a week after either way. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a panel episode and she was talking about, you know, okay, there's one of the person, she made two of us two guests on the show. [SPEAKER_00]: We have to coordinate schedules with. [SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, oh, not a problem. [SPEAKER_00]: Here's my rough availability. [SPEAKER_00]: And she said, well, that doesn't work because this guest is in the UK.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm in the UK. [SPEAKER_00]: And then I, me personally, I am in the US. [SPEAKER_00]: So we needed to change times around. [SPEAKER_00]: And I realized how hard it was going to be to rearrange my schedule to accommodate this podcast appearance. [SPEAKER_00]: And it was just after I talked about the signal versus noise here on this after the episode last week. [SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, wow, I got a lot of work to do. [SPEAKER_00]: I told, I mean, I was open about it, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: On the last episode, I said, I have been terrible at calendar management lately. [SPEAKER_00]: And also focusing on what's the signal versus what's the noise? [SPEAKER_00]: So this week, I had just a calendar overhaul. [SPEAKER_00]: I created new calendar schedules. [SPEAKER_00]: If you don't know what that is, and if you're not leveraging it, I'm in the Google workspace at Google calendars.

My Calendar Overhaul: Why I Ditched Calendly for Google Calendar Schedules

[SPEAKER_00]: You can set up meeting appointments. [SPEAKER_00]: You don't need to third party tool, like tidy Cal or county, whatever you're using. [SPEAKER_00]: It's phenomenal. [SPEAKER_00]: You can just do it and embed it right in your calendar and it's a hundred percent accurate because it's based on your calendar. [SPEAKER_00]: I've had some issues with calendar and other tools. [SPEAKER_00]: So that's a pro tip for you. [SPEAKER_00]: But I rearranged the whole schedule.

[SPEAKER_00]: I picked different times when things were allowed to be scheduled on my calendar. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know about you. [SPEAKER_00]: I like the convenience of putting out calendar links. [SPEAKER_00]: The hard part about that is like, there may be some things in my head that I want to do. [SPEAKER_00]: And I may have scheduled on say Thursday afternoon, but not actually on the calendar. [SPEAKER_00]: And those things kept popping up and interrupting my flow.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I've been pretty diligent this week about blocking things off. [SPEAKER_00]: And then also just putting that focus on what's the signal, what's the noise, delineating between the two. [SPEAKER_00]: Like I talked about last week. [SPEAKER_00]: and actually going after the signal items, quote unquote signal items. [SPEAKER_00]: Again, if that doesn't make sense, go listen to the last Friday's episode, it will make way more sense. [SPEAKER_00]: I broke it down.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not my concept, it's something I heard, but I just thought it was really profound.

Identifying The #1 Signal: Focusing on Revenue for the HumanOp Retreat

[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, long story short, this week, the signal was revenue. [SPEAKER_00]: revenue for the company for human app. [SPEAKER_00]: We have a retreat coming up in October. [SPEAKER_00]: If this is the first you're hearing about it, what sort of a rock are you living on? [SPEAKER_00]: I'm just kidding. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll put the link on the screen here at humanhop.com slash retreat. [SPEAKER_00]: We'd love to have you there, a small group intimate retreat.

[SPEAKER_00]: But we, we put the focus on this as a company, our software products are delayed and instead of just waiting around until they're ready, we said, well, this, this is something we can do now and give people an incredible experience. [SPEAKER_00]: So we hosted one in February of this year. [SPEAKER_00]: It went incredibly well. [SPEAKER_00]: We got amazing feedback. [SPEAKER_00]: The testimonials are on that webpage if you want to go check them out.

[SPEAKER_00]: But we said for the for the past couple of weeks now, actually months, this is the focus. [SPEAKER_00]: This is how we are going to get people into our ecosystem onto the software products and really make sure we can hold their hands and not just hope they have success. [SPEAKER_00]: But bring them into an event, a mastermind. [SPEAKER_00]: and make it a community of people who want to grow their businesses and support their people at the same time without burning people out.

[SPEAKER_00]: People centric business growth. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what we're all about at human up. [SPEAKER_00]: Long story short, I had built some AI automations. [SPEAKER_00]: I call them robots or robots as we lovingly call them within the walls of human up. [SPEAKER_00]: And they were working really well. [SPEAKER_00]: The first week I had it going, it produced at least one lead. [SPEAKER_00]: If I'm not mistaken, maybe two.

[SPEAKER_00]: A point in the book that my calendar with absolutely zero involvement for myself, which was fantastic. [SPEAKER_00]: So picture like going and messaging people on LinkedIn and cold emails and Facebook and all these other ways, none of that. [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't do a single bit of work outside of setting up the robots. [SPEAKER_00]: And they went out there and did things for me. [SPEAKER_00]: Gotta love AI when it works, right? [SPEAKER_00]: Turns out, I'm not an AI engineer.

The Painful Discovery: Our AI Lead Gen Bots Were Broken for 5 Weeks

[SPEAKER_00]: And I knew that and going into it, but I said, hey, we don't have a sales team right now. [SPEAKER_00]: This is just something we have to do. [SPEAKER_00]: And as the COO, well, I stepped in and picked up the slack, right? [SPEAKER_00]: Turns out I didn't have an error management system in place, so an error happened in this workflow. [SPEAKER_00]: And instead of learning me or raising some sort of error message, it just stopped.

[SPEAKER_00]: They turned off and they weren't working for like five weeks. [SPEAKER_00]: My bad should have been checking, but I was building other robots. [SPEAKER_00]: And we were like, that's kind of weird that nothing has happened. [SPEAKER_00]: So last week and this week, dove back in, got all of that handled. [SPEAKER_00]: And I said, this is all my time needs to be spent on is revenue generation, but through the building of robots.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I would say I did a pretty good job to be honest with you. [SPEAKER_00]: And I wanted to come on here and say, not to pat myself on the back, but just to say, with that focus, I practice what I preach here, with that new focus of, okay, [SPEAKER_00]: It's revenue generation or it's noise. [SPEAKER_00]: There's so many things I was able to get off of my plate and another great example is even this podcast. [SPEAKER_00]: I have it pretty well dialed in for the guest episodes.

[SPEAKER_00]: I said I spend about ten minutes per episode getting it posted live launch whatever you want to call it. [SPEAKER_00]: I was able to get that down to one or two minutes now because I set up different automations on the back end. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you think about that, [SPEAKER_00]: The difference between ten minutes and two minutes is not a huge deal, but even over the course of a week of episodes, it's almost an hour I'm saving every single week.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that little stuff does add up over the course of the year. [SPEAKER_00]: It's all so stuff that I don't have to do every single day. [SPEAKER_00]: I can sit down and bang it out at one time.

How Automation is Saving Me an Hour Every Week on This Podcast

[SPEAKER_00]: So the time isn't the real issue. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the interrupted focus and the sporadic focus, if you will. [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm able to just be laser focused on exactly what I need to do. [SPEAKER_00]: all of the time. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, am I perfect?

[SPEAKER_00]: No, of course not, where I'm human, but I did a pretty good job this week and I just wanted to come and reiterate that message from last week of making sure that you are taking the look at what's the things that are moving your needle, the needle forward in your business and what are the things that are noise or just keeping you stuck, spinning your tires, whatever you want to call it. [SPEAKER_00]: make sure you're spending time in the right place. [SPEAKER_00]: So I took action.

[SPEAKER_00]: I did what I told you to do. [SPEAKER_00]: I hope you did too. [SPEAKER_00]: I rearranged my calendar. [SPEAKER_00]: I set up new scheduling links. [SPEAKER_00]: I blocked certain times. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm more diligent now about blocking time on my calendar. [SPEAKER_00]: That's another thing I do too is I'll just go put, I don't need a crazy description or title or anything like that. [SPEAKER_00]: But I will just go on my calendar and put blocked.

The Power of Uninterrupted Focus vs. Sporadic Work

[SPEAKER_00]: or put focus time, whatever you want to call it. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's how I know, okay, this is the time that's blocked on my calendar to protect it. [SPEAKER_00]: Nobody can interrupt me. [SPEAKER_00]: Those scheduling links can get in my way and interrupt my flow. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's how I kind of took back a little bit of control of my time. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's an ongoing thing, right? [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, six, seven months ago, I had this lockdown.

[SPEAKER_00]: Then we got busy, things changed. [SPEAKER_00]: It kind of got out of my control and now here we are locking it down again. [SPEAKER_00]: So I would say wherever you are with your calendar management, your time management as we like to call it your serenity. [SPEAKER_00]: take an audit, see where you are and make sure you're focusing on the right things.

[SPEAKER_00]: But if you want to join us at the human up retreat, human up.com slash retreat, I do want to put that invite out there. [SPEAKER_00]: We have a few spots left. [SPEAKER_00]: It's capped at twenty three.

My Action Plan: How I'm Taking Back Control of My Time & Calendar

[SPEAKER_00]: We have about half of them. [SPEAKER_00]: People committed to so far. [SPEAKER_00]: And we've only been promoting it really for two weeks. [SPEAKER_00]: And if you think about that the roadblocks were falling asleep over the last six weeks, [SPEAKER_00]: That's pretty good considering the slots are going really fast. [SPEAKER_00]: So I would love to have you join us if you want to learn more about it. [SPEAKER_00]: Go check out that retreat.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's a link to schedule a call and learn about it. [SPEAKER_00]: But if you're a business owner who's gotten to the point where you're running a team of people and it's a little outside of your comfort zone, we're going to help you understand who you are at your core, who you are as a leader. [SPEAKER_00]: based in physics and science using our technology, then we're going to understand what that looks like in the context of your business. [SPEAKER_00]: Did you build a business?

[SPEAKER_00]: Have you built a business so far? [SPEAKER_00]: That's compatible with who you are as a leader and as a person. [SPEAKER_00]: Then we're going to marry those two together and say, what's something that if we accomplish this in the next ninety days would make this whole experience a hundred percent worth it and you would have paid double. [SPEAKER_00]: It's we call it your two X ROI ninety day blueprint. [SPEAKER_00]: We do that on day three on day four.

[SPEAKER_00]: We figure out what's going to get in your way prevent them, figure out strategies, what's going to of how to get around potential roadblocks. [SPEAKER_00]: And then we meet every two weeks after that as a group. [SPEAKER_00]: Again, this is the community mastermind field to make sure you actually accomplish your goals.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's the only retreat that I've ever been to, only event that is actually committed to making sure you get the results that you came seeking and not just some

An Invitation: Join Us at the HumanOp People-Centric Business Retreat

[SPEAKER_00]: you know, raw, raw, dancing and jumping event. [SPEAKER_00]: I've been to enough of those. [SPEAKER_00]: Nobody needs more of those events. [SPEAKER_00]: Tony Robbins can keep his events. [SPEAKER_00]: This event is going to get you to where you want to be faster and funer than you ever thought possible in business. [SPEAKER_00]: That's my commitment to you. [SPEAKER_00]: Go check it out. [SPEAKER_00]: Watch the testimonials. [SPEAKER_00]: I'd love to see you there.

[SPEAKER_00]: But in the meantime, I'm so glad you're listening to Harmonia said lunch. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll see you back next week for four more amazing guest episodes. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'll see you back right here on the update at the end of the next week. [SPEAKER_01]: Another episode of harmonious at lunch in the books.
