Street Corner Dawah is a dawah/ministry initiative here in Atlanta, Georgia. The initiative was created by the community of Masjid Al Bai’th which is an Independent Islamic institution that is dedicated to working for the upliftment, empowerment, and progression of the African American people. For hundreds of years enslaved Africans were forcibly brought to the United States against their will. The various African tribes and peoples mixed along with some of the Aboriginal people to create a new people...the African American people. Using the Holy Quran, Authentic Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (Peace And Blessings Of Allah Be Upon Him) as understood by the early Muslims and efforts intended to promote economic empowerment, moral improvement, self reliance, political independence and love of self as a framework by which to operate...Street Corner Dawah seeks to call all African Americans towards Islam because we love them and we want to see them saved from the hellfire. In addition we hope that by extension the entire world comes to understand and embrace the teachings of Islam regardless of race, creed or nationality.
