This week we sit down with local marathon runner, Farrell Hedrick. He shares his running journey from the first days on the elliptical to his first marathon. Busting on the to scene with an impressive time, the focus soon shifted toward qualifying for Boston. After finally qualifying, he would soon realize his dream, but not until after running the Berlin and Chicago Marathons (due to it being shifted to the Fall). His trail debut took place this past November in the mountains of Chiang Mai at the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships, and it was a humbling experience. Some gauntlets may have been thrown down, so stay tuned for January.
