And then we're just gonna throw out other holidays that we think should be on the calendar. We have all of this and so much more on this week's the Group Chat. the whole cruise in here. We've been We've been diligently working on research for this show, I mean really for for minutes, minutes, multiple minutes more than one. And we're gonna name this one hashtag holidays, because there's a holiday coming up at the end of this week that fans of the group chat will know how you feel about this holiday too. This has come up before Caroline's hot take on Valentine's Day, but this time we actually get to do it in real time. This is actually Valentine's Day,

Valentine's most week. I don't think Valentine's to Day is a real holiday. This also goes into the same feeling of Halloween. It's just not real. It's not a real holiday. It's a fun day. It is a fun day of celebration, or it's a terrible day of celebration. If you're single on this day, you hate Valentine's Day. But I think Halloween, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, they're just they're not federal holidays. I think that's the biggest difference for me. You don't

get a day off for this. You actually suffer because if you celebrate this day, your normal work days could be. You're not getting like a Monday off off or a Friday off. If sometimes you get treats in the office. Are you going to bring a streets Sure, yeah, we do it. Monday. We did Monday. I'll be here Monday, I'll be here the later part of the week. We bring Monday. Yeah, you're you're gonna be busy celebrating Valentine's Day. That way, it won't be here later in the week.

Exactly puts on this front about how it doesn't I have to take so many days off to us to celebrate. No, that's not the case. But did you were you guys um in elementary school? Did you do the like b min? I was just going to ask this question. Yeah, it was definitely remember that now, like the Valentine's and like everybody had like, you know, like a little thing where everyone would go in and drop the Valentine's in and

it was cute, like everybody got one. You know. It was that time where it was not like, you know, you were too young for it to really mean anything more than getting like a piece of candy from the same But I think that's boys girls hotel. Do tell so? I I remember. I think I was in third grade and it was Valentine's and I'm feeling him out at home.

And you know how like the Valentine's Day packs, they came with like five different variations of the same Like if it's rocket Power, you're gonna have five different Rocket Powers. I thought, so five different rocket Power characters and each

one's going to say something slightly different. I remember not wanting anyone else in the class to get this one, except for like I wanted my crush to get the one that was like the best, and I didn't want to use the other versions of that specific card, and my mom I asked her to buy two packs, and she was like, why do we need to buy two packs? Because you'll have enough for your class with this one. I'm like, okay, And I didn't want to tell her that. Well,

I only want my crush to get this one. Do you remember the name of the crush um? I think it was Zach, but don't tell Zach. Wow. I think it was Zach. But I also could be thinking that because like Zach Morris from sayd by the Bell, I could be thinking that's who I had a crush on, because lord knows I did. But now I just I remember that it was a very big deal. My crush

had to get this one, so he knew. But the best part is what is he going to compare Valentine's He's going to figure out Like at that time, I was Nancy Caroline. Nancy Caroline gave me this one. Should everybody call you Nancy back Mancy Caine the Southern Thing? Yeah, Nancy Caroline, I know you do. Well. Do you have any Valentine's Day stories from your childhood. No, I mean I went to a smaller private school, so there weren't

as many kids in the class. Valentine's dnay, No, you just got less of it, less quantity, you know, if you're only getting four Valentines. I thought it would be like quality or quantity. Quality still like the you know, like the dumb dumb you know, like taped to the little piece of card the name. How bad are those hearts? By the way, though, that's they're terrible chalk? Yeah, I like the sweet tart. I still I like those. I like them better than the candy corn get leaf they are,

They're better than candy corn. He's muted for just a little bit. He gets to come back in a little bit. That was terrible. Yeah, what just you're wrong? All right, we're moving on. Well, we'll bring him back for this next segment. We thought it would be fun to come up with our own hashtag holidays. So if you look at the calendar coming up the in of February going into March, I didn't even look past March because it was absurd. There are only a handful of days that

do not have a fake holiday on it. I mean, you've all seen it National Pizza Day a couple of days ago. It was at an official thing, but it to take over social media. Like staining your broom up. You can do that every single day, so that it was not just one day. NASA said, gravitational pull yesterday was what allowed the room to stay end up, right, That's what's so, that's what Twitter told me. I know. So we're just going to make up our own because

apparently you can do that now. So we're making up our own hashtag holidays all has to do with panther themes, because you know we're the Panthers. So let's go with um. Any of you want to go first, what is your panthers hashtag holiday? I just want to start off first with a non panther holiday that I think you appreciated, Caroline. Did you know, like February fifteenth is Singles Awareness Day,

which I which, what's that one? I can appreciate? I think that's but I already I think Valentine's Day is single Awareness. Yeah, you should, you should be February. Yeah, it's the same. I mean when I was single, I was certainly aware of it. On valentin I guess that's I guess that's that's not maybe the like formal day of celebration, but it's the technically begins on that day and then you're honored commemorating it the following day. That

why why not have two useless holidays instead of one? Yeah, that's true. Okay, so this is funny and we're not I know we're quite there to our topic yet, but um, Parks and I had the discussion of are we celebrating Valentine's Day? We will be together, but we we planned this trip well before, Like we didn't even think about it being round. It is not a Valentine's Day trip.

We're going down for like wedding planning, which I can assure you is not, um, what you want to do for Valentine's Day, because I want to pull my hair out for many things about playing I love, I love I love planning away, just not all the time. So we're going down and getting some wedding planning things done. So we we planned this trip and then it was like, oh my gosh, this is Valentine's Day, babe, we should sell it. We should celebrate this with each other's would

be fun, which goes against all of my morals. And he said, so are we doing gifts? And I was like, oh, um, yeah, I think we are. I think I think we're going to do gifts. And don't worry you guys out there that are wanting to point out to me that I don't think it's a real holiday and now I'm asking for gifts. Works has done that for you, so you don't need to tell me about that. Parks has made it very clear that I can't change the rules when they benefit me, and you know, change them when they

don't benefit me. But I did I change the rules. We're going to celebrate Valentine's Day with a small gift. What is a small gift monetary wise? How much? Like? How much would you spend if it was a small gift. I want to crowdsource this because I need some on this one too. I'm putting this out there. Anyone listening, please just like and that's a good number. That's a small gift. I think that's a good that's that's pretty good. Or it's a small gift for doing what. You don't

have to say it here? Yes she does? She God, why do you tell people that? Okay, what are you getting her? I'll probably just do like a nice bouquet of flowers, and then it's like a done deal and flowers seem nicer than their price tag. I suppose I've heard that some women don't like flowers. Mine does, but mind does. Good. I love flowers, but I do I understand like I like flowers just because I don't know the flowers is a gift thing. I'm like, thank you,

clown Day. You just have to do it in the street. You have to do you have to find a partner and do. Yeah, you may have to wear a Steve Smith jersey and a clown mask, okay as part of the I think that would be pretty epic if you worry clown mask and then no one yeah, and and those that wouldn't understand what they can being mean and those that got it would really get it. I like that one. So you have to wear Steve Smith jersey on January tent with a clown mask. Yes, cloud yep, Okay,

what's yours? My first one will be especially because the personal nature of this h May nine, five nine, I think should be a national looke keekly Day, especially just with him retiring now, where everyone's gonna be looking for ways we could make this. I feel like this could actually become a day and it's a we were actually just looking at this video the NFL network put out of like the best player to wear every number zero to wherever, and uh fifty nine was Luke Dick Buckets.

I think was the other one who came in second place, But right now I think most people would say he's got the top spot to everywhere fifty nine in the NFL. So yeah, maybe five nine can become Lukeiklyda. It is also my birthday, so talk about kind amazing we are. We're really cooking with gas there. So that's uh, that's

my Panthers holiday. Suggest that's a good one. I So what made me think that this would be a good idea was this particular holiday that I came up with while sitting at my desk because of a an Instagram post by Christian McCaffrey. In case you missed this post, just go look this is so. I think this is very off brand for Christian. I was not expecting a post like this, but I think it could It could be a fun way to celebrate Christian McCaffrey. So I would like to present Um, I don't care what day

this is on. I guess we could do February second, we could do February twenty second, we could do any any of the month, maybe every two of the month for the year is National cmc D and the Instagram or social media challenges. You have to have a photo of a supermodel feeding you a spicy chicken sandwich. That's it. You have no idea what I'm talking about, Please go to Christian McCaffrey's instagram. I would like to call your attention to an amazing post that was meant. Do you

know about this? Have you seen this? God? Well, it's gonna pull it up right now. It's it's amazing. The caption. He definitely had some help on the caption. I feel like he's pretty witty when it comes to everyone he's got I mean, he's witty, but this, this is just this is different for him. Yeah, I'm gonna read that caption. So it's a photo you may have seen it. It's a photo of his girlfriend, Olivia Colpo beautiful feeding him Chick fil A an extra spicy deluxe, feeding me a sandwich.

And then it's got like the emoji of like the face that's really hot and sweating, and then I do love this former pantherson or Ryan Khalil chiming in I don't get it, So I think that should that should definitely be a holiday where you're did you have to try and get someone to feed you supermodel? Would you win? But someone to feed you a spicy chicken? Say? Which that needs to be the photo? It's it's phenomenal. That's

pretty great. Just go take a look. We'll even tell you to like it that his engagement goes up, so he's not mad at us for talking about that. We'll just give that double tap good, give it a go, old double tap, a double taper, all right? Do you have any other days? I liked? What other one did I have? November? The day the Panthers hosted the Patriots on Monday Night football and twenty three team National Ice

up Day. Yeah, yeah, you just gotta, you know, get some ice packs, just get you know, hamstrings might be tight on that day. It's just a day to make sure you're you're ice and up. Yeah, making sure the bodies right, that's a good one. You have aptly keep leaves, gotta make sure he's ice and up on that. We still go on Panthers. Um, yeah, I mean, Max had a lot of these. I do like the I do like the I mean we created last year, and I

would be curious if we continue to do it. But May one five one is keep Pounding Day und Day. That's like an actual thing. That's an actual thing, and you know, it was really it was like a really cool thing last year, you know, going to twenty five different cities in North and South Carolina doing service projects. So I'll be curious and see what we do this year. That's a good one, alright, one that I have. This is a very random day for this, but it's coming up.

Actually March seven, three seven Tank Day. If a football team record is three and seven, every single fan in that fan base is saying, take tank the season. We need a hired draft pick. I tried to. I flirted around with some other numbers, but I think three and seven is where every single fan might be saying, let's just tank because even if you win out, you're not in double digit wins your middle of the pack. Does

that matter? Would you rather have the middle of the pack pick or do you want that top ten pick if you just take out for the rest of the season. So I would like an offseason holiday for the NFL on March seventh to be just interesting that you chose three and seven because the Carolina Panthers were three eight and one when a lot of this that discussion was happening, but the division was so bad that they made the playoffs.

Well that's what we were talking about too. I I went to the room on this one and was asking, what is that number? What is the record when the fan based to do that this? We landed on this, But our discussion was the NFC South in general makes this a very difficult conversation because I mean, the Panthers this past year, we're in it until there is I mean, you know, there was a chance for them to be right. I mean that was another one where I mean it

can happen. Seeing every years if you can get to eight and eight, it feels like there's gonna be one division where eight and eight or nine instead, which is crazy. But I'm going three seven because that's where the fan base normally starts to. Just alright, tank, let's just they They start doing mock drafts this week of the season, and for those of you that say you don't stop it, I got some of those mock drafts around this time. Weeked ten, I started to get some mock drafts from people.

So I'm when March seventh is Tank Day, you can wear a tank top of your favorite team. Okay, I like that day. And that's when the weather kind of starts to heat up a little bit, so tank, you know, it could be fun. I like what you're doing there, Tank Day. All right, we want to go to the swapping of holidays. Now, this is what Will has been waiting on. Will. Will is going to shine in this moment because he came up with this idea and his example to get this idea to stick on the group

chat today, I thought was phenomenal. Right, and I have I have first, second, and third round picks for my draft. Like I'm I'm rolling deep here. I don't think we need to make picks your draft. All right, here, here's what it is. Here's what it is. You will draft a holiday that is not a real federal holiday, and then you have to switch that out with a real holiday so it doesn't have to be federal. But I just went looked at the federal list and I think

I believe yours. Yeah, yours is on the federal list. So any holiday that is not a current holiday but makes a lot more sense in Valentine's Day. You can, you can bring to the table and we will then accept your offer or not right, So we'll go around because I'm not hugging this. Everyone has to do this. So my first yeah, my first round. I think the first Thursday of March Madness should be a holiday that first day, maybe a half day, a half day holiday,

beginning at twelve or six. Okay, I was best at the game, start twelve or six. Okay, I'm swapping out Columbus Day. Yeah, I think everyone can agree. I think Columbus Day might just sorry Ohio, but no Columbus. Yeah, that's why it's holiday. I think Columbus Day is just going to be the overwhelming get out of here holiday. Yeah, sorry Columbus. This is another thing we've mentioned on this,

so we have as well. You're going back to that on that Also, Washington's birthday is President's Day or Washington's Birthday, I believe, well, on the federal list I was looking at, it's actually called Washington's Birthday. I do believe it is President's Day, but it is Washington's birthday. I kind of want to get rid of that one, and I would like to put in election day yes, makes no sense. It makes no sense that election day you don't get that day off. I would like Election day to go

in for President's Day kind of the same idea. No perfect, Okay, I would say in this we just recently came through this day the day after the super Bowl. You should be a holiday. Um here's what I would take off. I'm curious to hear what you guys think about this April Fool's Day. I hate it. I'm not a fan, really not a fan. I just just like I could do with that it. You know, it's like, why are

we why are we doing this? I especially hate it because I have to be on Twitter so much and everybody is just trying to play these gotcha games on Twitter with like creating false reports, and it's Twitter is terrible enough as it is sometimes, and that especially is just like I can't stand it. I hate it. Can we just go ahead of everyone out there? If you're thinking of doing an April Fool's joke about being pregnant getting engaged, just don't do it, especially the pregnant one.

Don't do that. That's completely insensitive. Stop it all right, Moving on, what's our next one? I think National Pie Day. Okay, we need to add that that is March three point one four. It's up coming. Yeah, it's also Steph Curry's birthday. Yeah, National Pie Day. I'm okay, um, I'm okay. I kind of like that one because normally there are pies in the office and if I'm at home, I'm not making a pie. Um. I I would like this is a little way I have to the first one. I would

like Black Friday. I like that day off. Sometimes you get that day off. I think some places I've worked, you get kind of the whole week, you know, just to go do what you want. But I wanted to be official that I don't have to work. You know, when you start planning your your trips for Thanksgiving, you don't have to wonder what do they want me to come and do it. I'm not gonna have to take this day off. My mom and I are also huge Black Friday shoppers, so don't mess up my Black Friday.

I want that off. I would like to expand Labor Day into a you get the Friday before Labor Day weekend off, and you keep the Monday after Labor Day weekend off. Because it's college football, a lot of people go to the lake and whatnot. I think I like that motions. I mean, I'd like to just get Labor Day off. Here in the Panthers, we don't get Labor Day, but if we did, what I take that I approved that Monday and Friday off for Labor Day. Yeah, we

don't get that day because it's in season. Yeah, okay. Another one I would like off is the Monday after daylight savings. How do you feel about daylight savings? Just in general? Matt's shaking his head and he's got a hot take on this. Here we go. I don't like it. Yeah, just pick one and just stick. And I don't like it. I don't like I don't like that it gets dark early. I think it's very archaic that completely do it. We're not in a grarian culture. We have we have electricity. Yeah,

we have electricity. We have heat, Yeah we do yeah. Um yeah, I'm not I don't really understand it. But if we're gonna have it, i'd da at least on that Monday off. It's all about the days off in accordance with the holidays that I think we're zeroing in. What what Caroline's assessment is? Oh yeah, I really didn't come up with a holiday that is just a holiday with no day off. Aren't There aren't there counties in

Indiana that don't that don't observe daylight savings. So Indiana has two different times zones, have Central time Zone and they have um normal Indiana. I don't. I don't think so anymore. There used to be where Indiana did not observe. There's like Arizona does not observe daylight savings, right, so you could technically be two hours off by just walking across the street or something. Yeah, it is weird when you get up near Gary, Indiana. That's technically like around

a suburb of Chicago. So that's why they are in Central But it yeah, it does. It does get weird. Funny story about traveling to Chicago from India that has nothing to do with this pod guess, but I'm going to share is one of my first weekends off in Indy. I decided I would love to I've never been to Chicago. You can drive there now, which is insane where I live. So I'm just gonna drive to Chicago, go see a friend,

and come back. I did this and I get back, go to sleep, wake up getting ready for work, and I get a phone call. It's like, hey, where are you from? My boss? My god? Getting ready? Is everything okay? Something going on? And he was like, what time do you think it is right now? And I was like eight fifteen. He was like, and it's I was like, oh my gosh, I mean think this is my first I haven't even been working there, you know, for four months, and this is my very first job out of college.

I freak out and I'm like rushing in, but I was exactly one hour late to work, exactly like to the minute of when I'd normally arrived. It just never switched back for me. What time do you think it is? Right? No? No, I instantly I remember where I was stating in my old apartment when he said that. I'm like, but yeah, there are some I may be wrong about this, but I'm pretty sure all of Indiana does do daylight savings, but it is that there's two different time zones. Arizona

does not do daylight savings, correct, I'm not sure. I felt like I remember some TV episodes where there's like specific counties that mess with it, and so that you like cross into a different county and then you lose or gaine hours or something. We've got this cool thing now that's like a computer that you can hold in your hand. I'm going to look on there and see, mact. Do you have any other holidays you want to draft? I don't think so. I think I'm good. What about

tweet Day? April three? Tweet day? Tweet day? What's that? I feel the need the need for tweet Most of Arizona does not. I was getting there. Gosh, yeah, I think it is Arizona. What's the four ate more? Do you have anything on Indiana yet? Oh? There we go Indiana now they do it? Yeah, Arizona no? Oh, and oh Hawaii. That kind of makes sense. They're on their own. Interesting. Well, don't say we don't ever teach you anything, because we are coming in strong with that one. Are we good

with holidays? Are there any other holidays we would like to bring into question? I feel pretty good. Please let us know, number one, what is the appropriate amount for a small gift on Valentine's Day? And also let us know if there are other holidays that you would like for us to bring in front of the council and voted on to see if we can over change. I really do think the Luke keek Lely Day could be a thing. I think we need to bring that up. And I mean we kind of have the power in

some ways to get it started. With the Panthers social handles. We can kind of do it. We can, really, we can, you know, we can maybe make this. We need to get Luke behind it with all his social media and the Monday after Super Bowl, that's got to be. It's got a lot of too many people in watching the game opening day for baseball. No wow, hear me out on this. It's baseball. You don't have to go to the baseball game, but you get that day. I rather go to work just to stick into baseball. Oh oh boy.

I'm not a baseball guy either, but Matt, this is I'll work a double just to not give baseball their due. I just don't like baseball. What did it do to you? Did you get cut? Did you you didn't make a team? Did you? I didn't play baseball past, couldn't hit the curveball like nine years old, Astra. There has to be more to this story. I just hate baseball. This is a fiery passion. Though I've never seen I've never seen you. You know, feel this strongly. I really don't like baseball.
