I've been at this thing as a player, as an analyst for far too long. Yes, yes, I know what I saw on film this game. Yes, no, no, no, both, I know what I saw, what we were on film. I know what I saw what they were on film. Now, Kurt even saying now, what happened on Sunday was a total embarrassment.

It was deplorable, It was inexcusable.

Everything they did, everything that they wanted to do, and that they did on film. Problem is, we didn't do anything that we normally do that I saw on film. And so when they had an opportunity to run the football for two hundred and twenty five yards, they did it.

They did it.

They didn't beat as much in the passing game, I mean except for one time, and we just go, hey, hey, this guy that's that's in the slot.

I'm just I'm just gonna pass him off to someone.

Else out there that ain't there, that ain't there, for six babies that ain't there.

It's covered another s word. It was covered.

Cover three and everybody else was a cover one. Yeah.

So now, hats off to the Arizona Cardinals, right, this is why you play the game on Sunday. But yet, and still there was nothing that they did that was not available.

First of all, we get into the red zone. We go one for five in the red zone.

That's a problem officially.

If we go one for five in the red zone, city lamb. Come on, now, I've been I've been, fight for least, fight for the football. That's a touchdown there, you know, we get a sixty one sixty to fifty something sixty one yard pup return for a touchdown on a on a on a holding call. I mean the penalties over one hundred yards and penalties, So could we have one?

Should we have won this game? Yes? Did we win this game? Absolutely not?

In all credit goes to the Arizona Cardinals because nothing that they did was a surprise.

For what I saw on film.

It wasn't a surprise.

Then why it happened.

Yeah, did they eat the cheese?

We just for whatever, We just had guys doing We had guys who normally don't do dumb stuff. Dude, jay Ron curse was all over the place and nowhere in the right place. We got our We got our, We got our. We have one of our nose tackles who he two gaps over and the where he's supposed to be.

They got beat up.

Run the ball right out the middle Linebackers can't get off blocks. I mean, guys, just guys. Not for so many questions, Like, there were so many things that went wrong in this game, and it just felt like every time they tried to like all right, we're gonna figure this out, we're gonna figure this out, another mess up, another screw and then you felt like, offensively, all right, here we go, here we go, we got something.

Going holding yeah, holding, no momentum.

There was every time you it was it was self inflicted wounds. And I don't want to take anything away from the Cardinals. The Cardinals did a fantastic job and what they wanted to do. But I mean, shoot the second player the game, first player, the game. You let Michael Michael bit the cheese on the fake. Let the dude just run right around them forty forty one yard.

We'll get to those in a minute. You would care to explain.

Yeah, man, I'm still hyped about this Cowboys. Okay, but the one thing, and y'all can hold me to this, because the only thing happened to the Dallas defense is what's been happening.

He last year, the year before the year.

Oh, I thought we just drafted a guy in the first round the Stone.

We resigned the guy. We resigned another guy.

We brought him back that was supposed to Oh okay, this is the problem.

You you took the genius out of the game, and that was your coach you took. You took Dan Quinn out of the game. He is great when he can get you one dimensional, whether it's run, our pass, he is great. But when you can do both and teams are hyped up about it, and then they're finishing in the red zone. He becomes just an average guy, just like everybody else.

Oh yes, and uh.

Jesse did a great job at explaining it about Curse and the the guys. Once they thought they had one issue resolved, there was another one. They physically, they physically beat us up defensively. I'm gonna maintain this in the whole year. If the strength is our defense, games like that cannot be played. They this should be the first in the last game of anything over one hundred and

The world hurt.

Now, we were sitting up here, we upset, were all mad, and I'm rightfully so. But they did a number on our defensive line. Our offensive line was stable. It took some ugly hits, but they were stable enough until they got into Like Jesse, you said, the red zone one for five. If we're gonna play the strength is gonna be our defense, and the head coach is gonna still try even in the game he's running the ball, giving our defense our opportunity to get over there or Jess

A few turnovers a lot of the times.

And you're gonna have to do that against opponents that are coming up that are better than the cognals.

The cognitives are and will be who we think they are this year.

Yeah, they got some young players, Rundell Moore, who's gonna get better. They gave us a look out of the backfield with them. I think Michael Wilson to get better to wide receiver, even though we gave him that big run, that big catch on him, blown assignment. If we're gonna play to the strength of our defense and we're gonna think that, this is what's gonna told us. If we're gonna be talking about Michael Parson every week, that is what's got to happen. You gotta make teams one dimensional.

We did not do.

That, and it showed up last year and it's showing up the one loss we've had early in this season.

I'm still hyped about.

These Cowboys, But are we mature enough as a football team to understand what happened?

It ain't but one game, we're gonna learn from it. You've been saying that about teams that have been coming in here running over us.

These are defensive vents, and these guys are fast flowing. You get everybody going this way and then they'll cut back and go the other way. Well, when you take a man and physically pick him up and move him, and.

They were doing that some of the stuff I was reading, they were they had Parsons kind of he was being aggressive.

That were dobbs.

That first run, I mean, Parsons busted in and they went outside. That forced Parsons to maybe, you know, take a step back or hesitate, and then they started going right at him.

That was one play. That's one play.

See what about everything I mean they did, They seem like they sort of you know, Parsons does what he did. But I saw some guys didn't dominate like he has the other I.

Saw some guys on their backs. I saw some guys tangled up with some guys. See, it's one thing if I'm I can't even give it now. It's one thing when you quick and you get around somebody real quick, and you going somewhere and they going the other way. But it's another thing when you trying to figure out how to get off this dude, how that.

There were a lot of times where guys didn't get off blocks.

That's what I'm saying, like linebackers, defensive linemen, and when you start, when you when you.

When you're talking.

About the trench warfare, Okay, you're talking about a physical battle in a foxhole. I think that's the amount of space that you have.

You don't There.

Isn't yards that separate, yes.

Right to where even if you go the wrong way, there's time for recovery. Everything happens right in front of your face. So when you, as a defensive lineman decide that I'm going to take a side, and you don't take the right side, like the right meaning not right or left, but the right side, correct gap, these guys just wall you off now and the running back cuts

So instead when when when you're in that, when you're in that that that that warfare. That's what makes it so physical, because I now either have to dominate you by recreating the line of scrimmage or I have to dominate you by pressing you back and then now being able to get off a block and get to the ball carry far too many times in this game. And it's evident, and and I'll show you guys clips of it through it and where guys were being physically moved.

Arizona's not supposed to have a real good offensive line. So what's his saying going forward?

What's not happened is a lot of guys go out to get PFI and Bobo, Sol Joe and all of these guys, and they tell you that instead of you just getting all twenty two and looking at the film for yourself.

Look at the like if you just look at the raw stats, like if you didn't watch the game at all, right, right, but you probably shouldn't know, right, but you you look at like you just look at ross Tats Cowboys offensively thirty three carries, one hundred and eighty five yards, five point six yards.

Give me that every week?

Right if you coverly paste that and say, hey, I can give you this amount of rushing yards every single week.

It's never been a recipe for success for the Cowboys, but in this particular game, when you're down, but then if you go, okay, two hundred and fifty yards, you know, give or take in a touchdown, you probably want another touchdown. This game came down to to me, red zone efficiency one.

For five cannot go.

I don't care who you're playing. Because the Cowboys did not have an issue twenty to twenty. They didn't have an issue there. It's when they got in the red zone for whatever reason.

And that happened.

They out the first two weeks too.

They puttered out, it's everything, it's everything, it's every detail.

How do you fix that?

Can you?

Can you practice? Can you keep practicing? You keep working? You you make it a point of emphasis.

So do you chant your practice schedule to have more time for red zone?

You can practice? You can't do that? Yeah, yeah, you can make the practice whatever you want it to be.

I mean, hey, offense, we're just working red zone from here to here.

You you can, and as a coach, you now have to go back and reevaluate your red zone packages?

Right?

Are these working for us? Is this efficient enough for us? How can we get better versus the opponents that we're going to play because that's where it's going to be at. But okay, so red zone efficiency got.

To be better than us. That's one. Okay.

You cannot cannot have thirteen penalties for over a hundred dogs.

You can't.

That was awful.

You cannot every time you turned around, whether it's pre snap, whether it's post snap, you cannot have over one thirteen penalties and one they said the play that we did was better than the penalty to do y'all gave us we decline, so would have been fourteen penalties. We don't even want the penalty. You guys can absolutely have it. And then you know, of course, defensively, you can't give up two hundred rushing yards.

You just can't.

There's no way that you're going to be able to compete in the National Football League with these three things that happened to you.

Speaking of penalties, what I was in a place I couldn't hear what happened on that past interference.

They called it in zone right, and then they picked it up for whatever reason, it was past interference.

Start and that didn't look like it had a ton of time.

But they look like they really good run blocking.

Tony Parlat did an excellent job. They trusted in Tony. He did excellent job.

And it still comes down to what Jesse named. First.

All of that was great, but until we got into the red zone. If they could have just got two scores, we win this game.

At that point, were they not good enough, not strong enough?

Just one strong enough?

They were out scheming us uh and they were executing see it's one thing to oh man, the new personnel and this that and the other. Uh, they the one of the two times they use the more kid coming out of the backfield, the little quick tosses, and they just had a package therefore us that we wasn't respecting on defense, they had enough on their offense to make it happen.

Offensive line once we got the red zone.

Really no, they didn't pay attention to detail. They we couldn't run it in. These guys were getting up. These guys were getting up the field. Our offense a line was getting.

Knocked back a lot.

But what they were doing is trying to stay on their blocks even though they were getting knocked back, even though they wasn't getting great holes, even though Tony was kind of hesitating picking his holes. You know, they just just refused to give up. They're gritty group, young guys. Bass was at your right guard.

I like what you saw.

I wish you could have replaced the left the left tackle, but.

I didn't have him playing guard and Tyler playing left tackle.

Now I think I think Tyler want to go home. Tyler want to play one position.

Now, let me say, can I say something about Tyler Tyler, Tyler Smith, Do I'm talking about Tyrant?

I think that the office line was only the issue when they got in the red zone. They were part of the issue in the red zone. That because if you could run it in ain't no issue.

If you can run the ball into the end zone, that there's never gonna be an issue because everything works. But when you cannot run, when you just can't line up. I got, like I told him last night, I got.

Then the aras on the Cardinals, you didn't do it this game.

So I'm looking at those things and say, Okay, any given Sunday things happened. It happened, but this has to be rectified immediately. This can't be something that carries over and have a hangover for two or three weeks because these things will then compound. It will compound, and you can bet your bottom dollar next week against the Patriots, Bill Belichick is going to check under the hood to see if you right it, you're wrongs, to see if

And they see and see how that and see how that works out as far as the running game. But you can't have these type of losses.

But the things that happened in this game outside of the red zone, I do believe that is now an issue for the Dallas Cowboys. Penalties have not been an issue, and earlier in this season running the football against this football, they eliminated Briest Hall and Dalvin Cook, they eliminated sa Kuon Barkley, so it looked like they had fixed the problems. It reared this ugly head in this game. Now, if it happens again next week, sound the alarms, Sound the alarms.

Are these fixable problems the things that happen.

It's not like, oh, we're the red zone. I don't know.

We got to carry carry over because a lot of these problems we saw last year. It's just a clean slate, all new theaters or yeah, it resists like last year. The Cowboys were one of the leaders in penalties last year. They couldn't stop the run last year.

You know, it's but I want I look at what we've done this year, and I know it's a small sample size. Early in the season, the first two games that we played, we did. We weren't heavily pizels in those first two games. For whatever reason, we were this Sunday, those first two teams, we would all say collectively that those two teams that we played, the Giants and the Jets want to do one thing, and one thing, well,

Take it back, I take it back. He's now lumped in the group. He's not above TJ.

Watt, he's not above Nick Bosa, he's not above Max Crosby, Miles Garrett. I think they're bunched together in the group that I'll say that there was a conversation that Cowboys were the best team in.

The NFC over Philly in the Niners, they aren't. Not this week they are not.

I think the Niners at this point in time is probably the front runners of being the best team in the NFC, followed by Philadelphia.

I said you got it before I thought that that that Ceedee Lamb was getting ready to knock on that door get into that elite category of receivers. Yet you know what I saw last night. I saw Davante Adams be a elite receiver. I saw Tyreek Hill be an elite receiver. I saw Keenan Allen do some elite I saw those guys step up and play some elite moments. I saw Ceedee lamp out yesterday, not just the one play all game. Just didn't look like he had any energy.
