The following He's a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club, Flowing out of the backfield, exploding down the sidelines. He's hanging with the Boys, broadcasting live from Dallas Cowboys World headquarters at the Star in Frisco. Now your host Nate Newton, Kurt Daniels, and Shannon Gross. He's back. I'm so glad Kurt. I listened to the show yesterday. You did a hell of a job. Man. I'm just y'all don't need me, No, we gotta have you.

Yet we do need you, man, because I can't live up to yourself. It was everything. It's like everything. Kurt had not to go and get it and go and get what'side got named head of Scott in that right Will? Yeah, he was like, yeah, Will like this close? Sha Yeah? Did he say no? I actually didn't. I didn't see your text till it was too late to Yeah. He came home and said, hey, man, I just got his chest. You know. It was a great show. Y'all even got

Douglas involved. And then Mickey just poo pooed the mess out of Mickey. Mickey smashed your head on the toilet, yesterday, tried. You should have come in here and jerked Mickey out of his little hot chair. I'm glad you right on out out the room. You don't need to be investing with our producer like that on the week and mess with our producer. Only you messing out. How are you, Douglas? Pretty good? Welcome back. You're feeling better. I feel a lot better. I'm not still not a hoell us the

story tell us the story. How this came on? You man? I don't really know. I think between Mama Gross being in town, I'm not getting much sleep and drinking some Miller lights every night. And then our Christmas party was Monday. Oh yeah, it was it nice? It was It was not. It wasn't as crowded, It didn't feel like his most us. It was a little more well lit that it wasn't like you take that whatever way. But no, it was good. The food was had a lot more food. Yeah, who

was great. And then uh, you know, stayed up late and I think it finally just all caught up with me. It wasn't it wasn't a hangover. It was just my body started aching. I actually thought I was getting the flu. And then Tuesday night. Um, we had the happy hour and I felt really bad. Almost told Nick I couldn't I couldn't do it. But I was like, you know what,

just an hour, I'll power through it. And then when I got home, I just, man, I just I started sweating and I thought I was going down for the cow. And uh, you know, I thought he was okay. I didn't know not much wrong because he called me out because I had a little tag from the cleaners on his shirts. I'm thinking a hundred percent. But I'm gonna tell you something. I want to think. Think Lincoln and then Lincoln. Oh, how cool is that place? We went

into this place? My wife for alerting me, said paper, that's a linkoln story. And we walk right past, going down there looking for the experience, because that's all y'all told me. So they're like, oh, no, the experience over there, guy, And so we ran back and that's when you guys was coming up. Yeah. I'm like wow. So we go in there, right, and all these fans in there waiting on the president in the mountain man, Martin, Ye, yeah, in the mountain man. These people want to eat up

and drank up all the Lincoln experienced food stuff. I said, now y'all get drinking, eat all you want and have great drinks. But y'all know you got to buy a car with all that everybody putting out their food, like, yeah, that's a cool place. Yeah, nice cars in there. Yeah they have a bar in there. You can go ahead. Oh yeah, they're gonna get your nice and right there.

You sign them paper up, sign them up. Yeah. If you didn't listen to Cowboys Hour Tuesday night, go listen because Travis talks about possibly coaching and what he's doing on the sideline with a headset this year and how he got that headset, and he talked about an update with you know what he's going through and it's actually really interesting. Right. He came out and said he's definitely not playing this year, right, Yeah. Yeah, he kept preferring

the next year next. I think everybody kind of knew that was going to happen, except except you. You never mind, Okay, we went in, so it don't matter. Don't matter. Speaking of winning. By the way, thanks for checking on me. Makes me feel good, makes me feel like I have people that care. We missed you, we need you. I missed y'all too. You know, I just played a long with Kurt. Kurt was really the one that was you

don't really care. Yeah, that's all right. He dried. They sent me a text and said dry out with se. I was like, I wish it was that easy. I was sitting on my couch all lonely with my phone next to me, all wrapped up in a blanket, with my little phone, with the podcast playing. I was like, they're doing a good job, but that I don't even show. What if you don't, you don't have to. O'Shannon too long to understand that a hangover is never going to

keep him from Oh hell no, it has to be something. Yeah, I'm pretty serious. And I was, you know what, I was mad yesterday because I never miss work from being sick. Never like I once every two or three years, I might miss the day. Wow. And I was so mad. I was like, man, it pisses me off because I just told somebody a couple of weeks ago, I don't never get sick. There you go so away. You brought up winning, Kurt, Yes, sir, or one of you did?

You brought up winning? But I'm gonna ask Kurt, no, I'm probably still a little foggy, right, you brought up winning. You probably won't play this game, but Kurt will because you think the Cowboys are winning every week. That's right. So Kurt, if you can remember this far back to September the nights whenever we started yea and we started to see Yeah, yeah, tell me, I'm gonna read off the games here going into each week. Tell me, were you confident the Cowboys were going to win going into

each of these games? Okay? Confident like I know they're winning, They're winning this game, right? Okay? Okay, the Panthers, I had him losing that game. Doesn't matter if you had him winning or losing, like going into that game based off how the how did you feel going into this game? Okay? Not not preseason picks. Uh the Giants game, Yes, I had him I felt even though they just lost to the Panthers and played like garbage. Oh you're oh good God.

I'll not explained this very well, Douglas. Do you want to play this about preseason anything? No? No, no, week to week Like going into the first game, I still felt good about that game because the Giants weren't any good. But did you know that one game into the season, I think so I felt good. You think so you were terrible at at the Seahawks, No, okay, yeah, and he was adamant about No. Yeah, I remember that lines lines. I wouldn't say one hundred percent, but I felt they

would win. No, I felt good about that, Okay. At the Texans, uh, I thought that. I thought it was no way we could lose. Man, come on, bro, how I was. I thought we had a chance, had some doubt, had had some doubt. Okay, Jaguars, No, they thought everybody thought the jaguar was gonna crushes remember everybody. Ye At the Redskins, Yeah, I felt pretty good about that one because we're coming off that Jaguar. But there was some doubt. Sure on the road, right Titans. Yeah, if anything, that

was a game that there was doubt. But okay, not not as much. So I probably had felt better about that game than some of the other one. But doubt, right, Eagles doubt for sure, Doubt Falcons for sure. Yep, Redskins again, felt pretty good about that one. Still some doubt a little bit of doubt. Saints, of course there was doubt. Right now we come to the Eagles again. Shannon's leading the witness totally leading, but I just want to because

Kurt didn't understand what I was saying. But there's there's been doubt every single week, really, unless you think about probably out what a statement? Yeah, every time it was a doubt. What a statement? Yeah, but you're going into this week and all you hear I don't know what the national shows are talking about, but all you hear around here and around Dallas is every all the media are chalking this up as a win. You're winning this, winning this, You're going you're in the driver's seat. Yeah.

If you win, there's a ninety four percent chance of winning the division. If you lose, it's sixty, it drops to thirty seven percent. Oh yeah, I've seen it both ways. I've seen it where it's about sixty or Yeah, it depends on different people's metrics. Okay, wow, So my question to you guys is everybody thinks you just killed the Saints where you held them to play a great game. You held them to ten points, ten points. You didn't kill them, but you won a game that no one

gave you a chance to win. Now you're playing the Eagles, and everyone thinks you're gonna beat the Eagles or they're confident. Is this a trap game? I know what Nate's gonna say. I wouldn't call it a trap game at all. I think the Cowboys know what they're gonna be facing. But I sure wouldn't chock it up as a You know, I don't. I have my doubts, for sure. I don't. I don't feel a hundred percent comfortable. Hold on, hold on, this is my doubter. I'm not doubting. I'm in. I

told y'all tuesday. You know transfer d Z. Yeah, yeah, he made me sick this week. I'll make him. I think. I think they're gonna win this game. I think, But I don't see this as like they're in the driver's seat there. You know. You know we talked about that a little bit yesterday. This is gonna be a tough game. You talk about a team with their backs against the walls. Eagles are now their backs are against the wall. Who's

this guy? I don't know what you think? They're just your Daniels, Yes, sir, I told you I'm all in. You think this is? You don't have any doubts. I mean they're every no, every Sunday, every Sunday. That's why they play the game. Anybody can beat anybody. But I think, oh, I think they're winning first. No, they're winning, They're winning. I'm all in on this team. I think they'll win too. But I just I don't know to say they're just gonna get in there and steam roll. I might, you know,

Okay what what? What? Will your doubts let them win by? Okay, I'm not sure how to qualify, right, And the Eagles aren't good? A couple points doubt, five points? You gotta call the scores? Yeah, but so's the Eagles are a good team. And you know, the Eagles are a nice team, but a nice quarterback. Yeah, and they they're on a little they haven't you know, they played two pretty bad defenses, but then they're a pretty good role two one, two straight.

They still there are the defending champs, whatever that's worth. Do you feel as good about this game as you have any so far this year? What do you mean like the doubts you've had like eighteen doubts. Do you feel do you feel more confident in them winning this game than any other game this year except maybe the Giants? There's other games that which one probably the Lions, Giants and the Lions. You know, maybe that Redskins Thanksgiving game. So do you feel, man, this is a tough segment

because you're not what do you want? I'm never playing. What my point was is everybody's been doubting this team all year and they beat one great team and now they're winning out. Yeah, they're winning out. You think that's that's done the trick. Now they no more doubts. I think they've been I think this team was not a good team at the beginning of the season, and I think they have changed. And I think that's what teams do.

And every year. We talked about it a few weeks ago that you had those teams that are in the middle of the road, and there's gonna it's gonna be one of them that changes its spots, two of them changing the yeah, Seahawks, and that one of those teams or two of those teams are gonna wind up going from out of the race to right in the middle

of it and being in the playoffs. And I think that with the addition of Cooper, the old Lion coach change, and just the attitude of this defense, and especially after what they did this week. They know they can do it, and they know what they're capable of. I think they're one of those teams that's one hundred and eighty degrees different than what They didn't have an identity, They didn't know what they were trying to do. Now they do. And I I don't remember who said it two weeks

ago and said they were gonna win out. We were gonna give them something nice. But I'm on that train, man. I think that's good voice. Oh Arkansas, are you worried at all about them? You know, drinking the kool ai? Well we beat the Saints, now we're gonna win out. I mean, you tell me we talked non like this discussion him, man, because I just I mean, look at us. Is this is twelfth week? What week is this? This

is week fourteen? Fourteen? Yep? It took it took at that thirteen and a half weeks for you to make him a dollar and then I and then I flipped yeah, and now you now you the most positive not a doubt or I still think they're winning the division, they're going to the playoffs. I think they're beating Philadelphia. But I'm just saying that it's this isn't any easy game. But how do they how does the coaching staff keep them from overlooking this game coming off a big victory.

They ain't got nothing to do with the coach staff, right abody Now is how the players are going to react it sometimes? You know, you know, I've heard veterans say this right here. Whereas when they're in boot camp. You know, guys that are in service, you know what what the sergeants and drill sergeants and all these guys do is they try to get them to a point

where they're falling command. But once you get them going and get them in shaved and get them going right to the point where you don't need command after why, everybody know who they who they are, what's their roles, And that's where it should be. With the Cowboys. Now they deep into the season, they're seven and five. We know who the marks Lawrence is, we know who human law is, Antoine Woods, we know who. Everybody got their place. Now you got to be the best you can in

your place. Uh. You know I had to tell Ted aka fish Killer. Don't you know, ain't nothing changed, you know, Uh, your back is still against the wall because of those same statue you said. Just think, if you beat the Eagles, it's ninety percent that you win the division. You lose to the Eagles and it's thirty seven percent. That's a big drop. So you don't want that. You don't want that feeling you you you know who you are. Now you go out and play. The only thing I question

is how smart can you play? Because that's what's gonna that's what's gonna separate it. And the coaches ain't got to say that Eagles is an NFC East rival that just came off a Super Bowl that's trying to find their sea legs and they coming. Yeah, And if our guys don't know it by the end of the first quarter, if they're not playing well, they will know it because

WinCE is finding his groove. When you played and you had a really big win when maybe you weren't supposed to win, or against somebody that was a top opponent, obviously you can't you or can you take the same emotion into every game every week or they're different emotion levels? How do you emotions is gonna go up and down as the momentum, you know, but what doesn't change is your belief and the belief of high level. You can play some guys. We didn't worry about some teams more

than others because our level of play was here. Yeah, a lot of guys can't play there. And I give you a prime example, the Warriors a year ago. Teams would try all they could, check the stats all they could. In the first half, some teams will be able by five, some being to be at by ten, some of you

can be about fifteen. But in the third quarter, the Warriors will come out and just crush you, no matter how high the score was, because they level of play was always right here and you're trying to play up. But when the third quarter came, they went right here and you weren't gonna never get there. Yeah, and that is what the Cowboys have found their level of players right here. Now the Eagles coming in right here. How the Eagle's gonna raise up? But can you stay where

you at and finish the game? Yeah, that's all it's about. The emotion is gonna come. It's gonna maybe an interception, maybe all sides, maybe something sick. It gonna happen. But where is your emotions gonna affect your level of play? That's what It's all about how big a deal that emotion is. At the start of the game, Wins was quoted as saying that the last couple times they played the Cowboys, and this year they had good second half, they finished strong when they got off to such slow starts.

How big a difference do you think that's going to be this time with I mean, I would think they're gonna come firing out of the gates. They're gonna try, They're gonna they're gonna try. But it's how the Cowboys accept that blow. If if Wentz come out throwing it precise finding all his receivers with and in a way, uh Golden Tape play last week, He's gonna be a key factor in this. So, uh just depends on how dvs do it. Man, depends on how dvs do it and how d line do it. You know, what's the

what's the mismatch? Well from that, from looking in the past, Golden Tate has always been a mismatch for the Dallas Cowboys. No matter who we put on him, he always seemed to make a player too. Well, we we can get it. I think our corners are safeties. Whichever's up at the time, Handling's response, they can slow him down. And the way you slow down the guy like Golden Tate once he catched the balls, tackling see the guy, I mean they got Jeffrey and aglare too. I mean he takes to

the guy take. We can handle Aglar and we can handle Jefferies because we've played that receiver before, over and over and over. Even though they're great and their own specific assignments that they have to do, we have played that guy. The guy we can't seem to stop is the tight end of any team, or that little slot guy like Tate, outside guy like Tate who catches the ball makes you miss and get seven or eight yards afterwards.

The way you stop Tate is, Okay, he gonna catch the ball, that's fine, but he ain't going the yard father And is that a safety's thing, then that's a tackling thing. That's tackling Golden eight. When he played with Detroit eight for eight one hundred and thirty two yards two touchdowns. Remember there's always it seems like there's always been guys in the league. DeShawn Jackson was one of the guys. Came to play the Cowboys. They killed him

random Mooss. We didn't play him that often, but I mean, like when you did. Yeah, and who made sense to me? Randy Moss, Santana Moss. Santana Moss was the other one I was gonna bring up. I'm in one time he killed us with about it one minute and a half. Oh my god, two ball. Yeah, I've always been never made sense to me how one guy could have such

huge games consistently match one team. But but he's got someonech else relies on it, you know, like he's got to have a quarterback, get him the ball, he's got have a line to match walking up front, match up. But you think, I don't know, always match up. And that's why these guys, when you got a chance to tackle them and tackle them hard, it's time. But you have to do it. You have to do it. I'm being honest. Douglas. What was that drop you played earlier?

That clip? Yeah, let me grab that again, Kurt, Kurt, you can intro it. You brought it to our attention. Um, yeah, Well, I thought it was interesting last week before the Saints game that DeMarcus Lawrence had kind of said, you know, we're gonna choke out the Saints and you know punch of am effort in the mouths right. Well, the Saints player has now kind of turned the tables a little bit. Saints or Eagles. Eagles? Sorry, I mean look at that history.

They always choked. So we'll go down and make him choke. Who was that Camo Crugier Hill, They're one of their last sidebackers. Yeah, this is hard. Yeah, So I just I wonder how you how you would take that NATed Last week you were on one side of it saying, you know, you know this our team is going to punch them in the mouth. Now you got another team saying, hey, we're gonna come punch you in the mouth. They are, yeah, they are, and they and they got the ability to

do it. But you know what, can you count a punch? You know there's a lot of dudes. Then that's where Mayweather beat up. A lot of dudes didn't think if he hits something, they missed and hit him right the mouth. So homeboy, you see, you know what, I can't play a lick now, but a dude like there right there, I would run slap over. I tell you what. They worked. Don't don't let Nate fool you because we were at lunch today and Charles walked up to the lunch table.

You missed this, Kurt, because you bailed on lunch me, Douglas and Ted. I heard y'all put fishkiller the rest. Yeah yeah r I p r K yeah okay. Charles walks up in like jabs Nat inside and I'm telling you Nate scooted his chair back and spun around in hand whipped him like. I was like holy cat, like like a cat. And I was like, you still got it. Charles was like them heads quick, boy, but feet like mine,

I mean quick. My feet didn't bad as yours. Charles, I get fatty cued, got him gnarloss or you say, Kurt, sorry to interruption. I don't remember. Wow, it was like a minute not he you know, Kurt said the uh. There was a tweet from a Philly TV guy and it had the actuality. It had had a Grugier Hill his last name anyway, when but there was video. If you listen to him it you know it's a it's

an in your face bulletin board quote. If you watch the guy say it, he starts laughing as soon as he finishes, like he knows he's just throwing crap at the wall. But I mean, but now it's as it always does. It's being seen as oh they're talking trash and it's bullets and board stuff and yeah, you know, and we said last week that the Saints wouldn't care about what DeMarcus said, Well do we care now? What the well who cared was? I tem those young guys

needed to hear that. He needed to hear that. Hey when we bowing down to know you know, like you said the pressure thing, go back to the pressure thing. But the markets laurenge didn't show the like it was any pressure. So what the young guys like a rally? And you know what, that bulletin board stuff works both ways. Yeah, it can be the bulletin board stuff like we saw in your own locker room, right, your guys fired up more so than it is for the other team to

Yeah fired up? This really bulletin board materials just chatter. Yeah, but you know what, man, it just depends on the player. I mean, you know, Michael Jordan, can you know you can be walking out with your mom helping out here be mad? You think you can help your mom? Michael Jordans find anyway you know what I'm saying, I'm serious here, tell you any little reason motivate himself, motivate themselves to get him, to get you. And some guys just like that,

you know, and some teammates some like that. But uh man, I just I was just happy to be playing with some great players, and I just didn't know want to let them down, you know, I ain't know want them to look at me like, man, God innate you know, man, And you get that, you get that that brotherhood feeling with specially on defense, with this team, like they're all

in together like the whole. A lot of times you get the sense that certain position groups are kind of they got their own little thing, and these guys got their own little thing, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Man, you just feel like every one of them is vibing off each other their whole units. This deal. So let's take a quick break. When we come back,

Hi, Hi,

Hi Latti. Let's go to the phones before we talk more Cowboys? Eagles nipping in New Jersey? What's up? Man? Hey? What's up? Guys? How you been? Great? Man? How you pronounce your name? Uh? Nipping? Okay? My main see my man Kurt, let me shoot my man Douglas and my man Shannon on top of that. That's great man. They worked that out thirty seconds. How do you spell that? How do you spell it? Oh? Uh? And it's like it's like Nathan, but it's like an I h I

n okay? Two eyes? Yeah, okay, okay, cool? What's up? Man? What a couple Before you get to my points, I just want to say, how about the Cowboys? Yes, sir, yes, sir? So yeah? So what a big win for us on Thursday against the Saints. By now looking forward to the Eagles? UM, big game for us? Uh? This is not gonna be easy because I feel like, especially against the division rival,

I think the Eagles will could make it tough on US. Uh. And then I think in my opinion, uh, the pressures on us because like like you guys said during this so I was listening to the show before you guys sicked my car and Nate said that about the playoffs, cha, I mean the division chances. So I think this is a big game for us. So if you win this, then I think I think we're gonna win the division.

But the key to this game is like what we did against the scenes, like run the ball, like time management, and then if we can play our way, then we have we have a good chance to win at home. Thanks for the call, Nithing, hold on brother you there? Yeah, hey, man, next time, I want you to bring me, uh something different on how to win. All right, okay, you promise me? Yeah? Why hey, when you can stop Nathan's formula? Yeah yeah, and he'll quit using his name is Nithan not my chart.

You're the one told me I don't see the formula you brought. Man. You made it where I couldn't uh poke holes in your theory. So I need you to leave mess up the theory olybic so I can look good, all right. He he wants you to be wrong next time you call it. So I at least look look look good? All right okay, Nathan, Yeah, all right, thanks man. You were going to jump on on there. Nah No, I was like, man, he got the formula down. He said, the Cowboys have more pressure in this game. It's okay,

there were pressures. O. Man, it's just uh uh you asked me a straight question. He used it in a sentence. He's like, hey, it is the pressure, like nah, not really, you know, And then you kept coming at me like, but they gotta be well I need focus. I want to type it up. It's pressure. Yeah, but nothing, man, quit with it being right. You've been listening to the mother's shows too low what Yeah, he's right because he's been listening to us, learn from us. Yeah, he shouldn't

have nothing but doubt coming from YouTube. I'm in. I'm telling you. He ain't tell you. I'm in. I've been in since before the Saints game. Okay, we'll give me a stat proving you in. What do you mean? You know, give us some history, proving you in. Your history says that by Friday you'll come with us. Yeah, I'm really loving him Cowboys. I'm all in. But wait till wait, till I started this last Wednesday or Thursday and said, I'm in I'm a believer and I haven't wavered once. Okay,

let me get you a statement. But he's jiltic cowboys. They'll win this game here and the next thing you know, they're losing next too. That's them old cowboys. That's them old old sh No. Yes, I'm I'm telling you, listen, let take the chance. Sometimes when you fall in love, right, right, you get your heart broken, right, But it's usually worth falling in love, okay, your heart to get your heart broken. So guess what. He is a warrior, and you fell in love and you got married to your heart. I

am in love with this team. This team since the Titans game has shown me that their girlfriend worthy. I am wifed up. I am wife until they let me down. And I don't think they are. I think we're letting her move. We're going back to Atlanta this year. Boys, Wow, let's go? Why not? Why not? Why not? Why not us? All right? Maybe Chris and can Connecticut can tell us? Why not us? Chris, Hey, I'm a little bit skeptical myself. Man, I'm sorry. That's all right, that's all right. So it

is Kurt I'm not anymore, Kurtis. I'm who is this? What is this? Gentleman's name? Chris and Connecticut? Hold on, Chris, talk to us now. We got to pull you back in and read you back in. What's up? What's happened to talk to? How you doing? Guys? All right? Hey? I was gonna a couple of things. One I wanted to say. You know, I've been a fan, believe it or not, since nineteen sixty seven, like it on the phone.

But I will say, in all those years, this is, by far the other night, the best defensive performance I've ever seen, especially given all the rule changes, because you really can't compare, right, you know, decade to decade or whatever. But the fact that they were able to shut them down with all you know, everything's geared towards the offense. So kudos to the defense. I was amazing. But I'm still go to But but they're playing with fire because they cannot get the ball in the end zone. I've

just it just baffles me. How just how in FP they are in the Hey? But brother, how bad does it baff for you? No? But I just do you have any insight? I mean, I don't get it. I feel like they get too cute when they get down there. They have no problem moving the ball between the twenties, and I think I've said this in the past with you guys. I feel like they use zeke and then as soon as they get inside the ten yard doesn't exist. I'm gonna I'm gonna tell a little story when you

when you get off. So go ahead on finish, finish anymore baffling going home. No, I'm hoping that they can score more than twenty points because they're gonna think. I think Philadelphia is a desperate mode right now. It's gonna be a tough game. Hey, Chris, let me ask you from from a fan's perspective watching these games, does it seem like when they get in the red zone that they quit doing what they do to get them into the red zone, Almost like they outthink themselves. Exactly, That's

exactly it. So now you can go to sleepy figured it out for why? But why now you set up it? Why he sleeped looking up at his sitting Why why I figured it out? But they keep doing it? Why? Yeah? Man, great call man, Thanks thanks for calling back. Thanks man. I was listening to a radio show coming in and it went not flagship, so I can't sit in the name, and they pulled up a Nick Saban cut or. When he was fifteen years old, he was telling the media when he was fIF fifteen years old, he made his

first coaching decision. He was fifteen at that time. He called all the plays for his high school. Wow, he was the quarterback. He called all the plays. They had worked their way into eighty one season. The team they were playing, they had to win the game to get into the state playoffs. Well what happened was they got down. It was down by nineteen to three, and then all of a sudden it was twelve to nineteen and with a minute, with a minute is something left? And he

was like, wow, I gotta call the play. He went down. He went over to his coach and said, coach, got a problem is it? What's your problem? What's your problem? Is saving? He said, coach, what play do I call? Because he thinking he's my I'm fifteen. I gotta call this play. And I don't want to be if it don't work. I don't want to be the reason don't work, he said. He looked at him. He's about calling any player you think it's right, he said, Coach, I just

don't I need for you to call it. He said, We'll tell you what, Nick, And this was something so simple, but it hit me like a ton of bricks. He said, Nick, you gotta all statewide receiver setting out there. You gotta all state running back call whatever play you think is right. As long as one of those two get the ball. And he called a fake to the great running back and across to the receiver and wound up a touching out,

they win the game. He said, what he learned from that, and that's the first time he hadn't maybe had to make a coach decision because he was a quarterback calling all of his own plays. Was what his coach taught him was, it ain't the play, it's the players. So

that goes right to what this caller said. What you said, Shannon stopped with all the Super Super Bowl players that you ain't reach and go and get Zeke, and go and get Cooper, and go and get Beast and let them and let them want to lose the game for you. Hashtag feed Zeke. You know what I decide, It's gonna be Zeke and not the wide receiver with you but when they told me that, the radio station said, hey, man,

what we finna say. It's simple, but it's gonna be something that if you understand how football games are really won. And then they went into even further to say, it's amazing how Sean McVay supposed to be an innovative all these plays, and and Todd Gurley got the second most touches behind Zeke. So it don't matter who you are. And well, how much you can scribble into sand on a piece of paper, it's still come down to can

that player? Yeah, so Nick Saban said, And that was a question like when Tool went out of the game with injury and he put Jalen her back in there. He knew he had the player. That's all that is. Cowboys need to quit playing when it's four from one. Okay, lose with Zeke for two plays, lose if it ain't if it ain't a touchdown our first time. Okay, we went without best player. Ain't nobody questioning in that right?

It mays say, man, office line may need to block better, or they may say, may say the receiver need not missus block. Are you throw it to Cole Beasley? Are you throw it to Cooper, I'm just being honest. That's how we that's how we did it right. Yeah, because they knew what y'all were running. Yeah, we ran the low left, lowd left is where me the center? I saw on the down man over me. Because everybody played

the sixth two. I sold that dude. We smothered him, and all of a sudden, we let the linebacker the side which way he was going because he was gonna be wrong because he came to the left, I was gonna kill him. He came to the right step was gonna kill it. That dude on the ground was gonna stay on the ground. And then it was going in. But are our guys that I mean our Guysmaulish, Paulish. They better dances than us we were Paulish Linehan feels like he's got to trick it up because they can't

just say here we are, we're coming. Look at look at Kurt, mister Dowder. I like it. He got a trick talking this show. Well, you know he got he got some confidence from yul. Yeah, I was gonna say he got in the groove yesterday. Now I'm curtsa here. That's they gotta trick it up. Well, I gotta trick it up, Kurt. I don't think they should, but I wondered if they think they have to, because maybe, but it's like dance dance with who brought you? He brings

you there from twenty to twenty one. Let him bring you on in to never come out there. Hey, I have a question along with the lives of the Doubting Okay, now that we're on a four game win streak, Yes, everybody seems to be happiest. Charles Haley, he's smiling when he's saying this. What are your thoughts now on coach? Lana hand you mean, Kurt? Yes, what are your thoughts? My thoughts now on coach? Not to put you on the spot, uncut, you think what he's a fine man.

What do you think about his play calligue? You know what's got him thrown off is we're in here Tuesday and we're talking about the coach, talking about the team, and we opened the door and who's standing in the hall coach Garrett's wife. Yeah. Yeah, it makes you think a little bit about what you say about people that Kirk. We think nobody listens to the show, and they don't unless they're staying in the hall with you. Hey, I'm missus Hern. Yeah, Tuesday night we were over there at

the Lincoln thing and you asked me. We were wrapping up the show. Yeah, it's still gonna be a tough game. They got a frontline. It's murderous and all this kind of stuff. And I'll look out, Zach says, sitting in the audience. Oh man, you just need to shut up. You just need to You've dog. But you know what you sparked Blake Jarring. Now he's called several take credit for that. Yeah you show, Yeah, you called him out. He's like that ball headed dude shows. Hey, give me

something out of the three shows. Man, I think a lot of people don't listen to us, but the people who do count the most. That's true. Okay, I'm gonna make a quick suggestion. We're gonna we're gonna skip our final break. You've got a caller you probably want to go to, and then we can go to your Anthony Brown after that. Okay, let's do that. Yeah, let's uh. Welcome to the show. Fan favorite and ours as well, long time listener, long time caller. It's one of the

funniest lines we've ever had on the show. Welcome to the show, Jay from Rhode Island. What's up, Jay? Hey? What's up? Guy? Thank you? I'm not worthy, I'm not you are? Ye are? How are you? Hey? Man? I'm doing great. I was just um. I don't don't have much time because you guys have to do the interview. But we're gonna win this week. So everybody stops swunting that. Okay, I'm gonna win this week, all right. Everybody is tripping on how we are gonna stop what's his name? Earned

so burned? So whatever that plan? Right right? Right? Yeah, there's this old not this old, but there's this scientistic saying called Occam's raised them, okay, And what that means is the simplest explanation tends to be the correct one. Okay, you can hit the guy five yards within five yards right right, times goes off the line. Let's just thrill them, drill,

drill them, drill them. I also was thinking, since we got Joe Thomas back and Sean Lead back that maybe a few please, maybe we should run a four to three, and maybe we should have uh, Gregory and d or to some stunts open up the outside and have those guys complying around the corner like Vander Smash and all that good stuff. Yes, so you said around three four, so we can have four linebackers and three lines. Yeah yeah, yok. Who is that right now? Man esther the wolf Man,

the wolf Man? I call him what because you know, Douglas got you there, Jay? Yeah, yeah, don't go. Yesterday Douglas got mad because I wasn't mad. I don't like them calling him the wolf hunt. Them wolves are great animals, I said, Okay, well I started calling the wolf Man dude because Jack was roundly get upset. So I'm like, oh my god, we should call him the werewolf. Jay. Are you in kind of Eagles country up there? I'm not sure? Oh yeah, behind the enemy lines. Oh yeah.

What's everybody saying up there? What's that? What's it saying up there? Everybody? I don't know. I go on Twitter and stuff like that, and people are still hating on Dak and he's not WinCE and blah blah blah. The only people that have been calling this show forever me and my boy anthy Go I never met, but we always had Dak's back, all right. We told everybody the Dak was the truth. And if you look at his numbers, he's got better numbers than once. He has more touchdowns.

He even has a better what do you call it when you throw the ball like Yadd's per throw. Yeah, all right, And Dak is tough man. You can't appreciate some of the hits. He takes. Three that come off the top of my head. JJ Watts with a full head of steam heads down, boom brows him in the solo plexus the Washington game, boom Tony Romo's like he's out, No, he's back in the next play. And then when we played Philly last time, Michael Bennett never strong coming. Boom

rule him up, rule him up. I thought maybe it's collar bone. He hops back up. When I tell you that Dak has more fortitude. He is the cufast quarterback I think I've ever seen, mentally and physically. Okay, we're gonna win this week and for all the Cowboys have to remember that j GI last year said that the Cowboys whatever they remember. He was talking tracks saying, oh yeah, yeah, remember what he said. And then Malcolm jamesons, I think

it was so last time we played Philly. You are the only reason he wanted we didn't take them seriously. Well you better take the seriously now, kids. All right, hey, and imagine this questionnaire. If it's any words that you can encourage Kurt to stop doubt. Do you have some words? Jay, don't listen. I think they're gonna win, Kurt. I love Kurt, kurtin Os, I love him. I was so happy when I got that sweet that he kick cancer's ass. She was like, not told him he would. Yeah, that's gonna

apple Philly too. That's all right, right, kicking that ass all right? Jay, We love you, man, Thank you, Love you guys. Take care all right, brother and Douglas if you do not make both of those drops boom boom, and better take a seriously kid. Yeah, yeah, you're fire it. You're fired a Douglas and I'm asking you two, I'm asking you, okay, okay. Is it any encouraging words we can help Kurt Wind. I'm back on my side, Kurt, I don't need to stop. I got one word for you, Yes, sir, believe.

I believe they're gonna win. How about you, Douglas believe just like the song that Share sings, He's got to believe. I got bo get up and believe. Believe man buying Kurt By it's much believe. It's much more fun when you buy in. Just ride it out. What do I have to do? I have to spell this in big letters. I think they're gonna win. Okay, all right, but you did say you believed he believes. I believe they're gonna win. Do you he believes that he they're going all the

way to the NFC division winner. I believe they're gonna win. Hurt Douglas believes it. You don't believe. I believe King Games. I believe they're gonna win the division. Okay, we need to get Kurt a knockoff Jason Garrett shirt that says believe across the front. Yes we not fight, not respect you wear. I'm not the one that has tickets to Mexico and didn't go show you though I made him some Tommy Johns to say believe on the play that was a long time ago. All right, Anthony Brown, let's

go Anthony Brown. Oh right, we are Hey did my home by Anthony Brown? Man? We call it Tampa flawed showing what you got on your feet? Yeah Brown, kick your feet off and relaxed. Baby. So do you always wear how she was around the complex? Oh? Yeah, you know, you gotta be comfortable around here. You know, if you're want to succeed and be happy, you don't want to be nervous. Yo. Man, what you think about Dre Man? That man right there? Funny many right there? Man? So Abe,

what's been going on? Man? What you do this all season? This all season? I was just in the class training. You know, I wasn't really having fun anything. I was just trying to get my mind right for this upcoming season. And you know I'm still in that process right now as we go. Yeah, you are you participating in no shape? November? You're just letting this getting early as you can't? Not really just happened. I just didn't get the headcut. I

wasn't really participating. None of those. It's two of them. I'm not gonna say the other one. It's two of the November things. You know, I'm with you. I'm not messing with the other one. And your free time, what you're doing. I'm playing with my son um watching film. You know, how was your son now too too? He's getting fun now then? Huh? He's getting active? Yeah? And every day everything. Yeah, he learned how to cry for what he wan't yet. He's been to do that. As

soon as I hit the dough, he's attached my lid. Yeah, the rest of the night. It's crazy, man, it's crazy. What would be your last meal of the of the night? No, just like we put we putting you in the in the gas chamber, you're gone. What do you eat before? That's the tough right, Yeah? For real? I don't know. I like a lot of foods, man, I can't just choose one thing. I give me a couple. What are

your favorite foods? Um? I mean, if we're back in Florida, I need some neck bones, I need some turn color greenmac and sh Yes, sir, that's probably just down home so food, good old Southern style baby eating with the crystal hot sauce. It gotta be crystals hot sauce. Yeah, crystal. What's that? It's a certain it's a brand, certain type of hot sauce. You know what that is, Nate, Yeah, I've heard of it. Yeah, Yeah, that's that. Ain't the Louisiana man, that's an older resty. Yeah. I think it

is Losink So okay, let me big is the other one. Okay, now you know at all this great food, what's what? What's the dessert you're gonna jump on at all? I'm not a bit dessert guy. Yeah, but it's something you like that I know it is. You know, I like cinema roles. That's probably might be my dessert. I don't really I'm not big on desserts. I don't really eat cake. I don't gonna eat ice cream and nothing like that.

So let me so, when you get close to the season, do you have a certain diet that you get into this year? This is my first year getting on the diet, you know, and I should see a difference. You know, my body feel ten times better. I'm moving bet on film. You know. I like the way I'm looking and I feel good. You know, is going in a week eleven? My body feel great, you know, knocking, I don't nothing happened, just keep keep eating right and that's but here here,

well yeah, there would go. We're good. Yeah. Yeah, last last question question, what's the story behind your number the thirty? Yeah, there's no story. I just walked in here and that's what my number was that I had it. I never got a chance to actually choose my number. What would have been if you had had a chance to choose, I don't know. Was Zeke already took twenty one, twenty two retired, so it would have probably been either twenty eight or twenty three or something like that. Yeah, something

the twenties. Alright, a threes, we'll be back, and we're back. That was a short break, right back. So that was funny. Funny thing about that is he had blown me off like three different times. I was like, man, we just need ten minutes. That's it. Ten minutes, that's it. He blew me off, blew me off off. I got you next week. I got you next week. So finally we harassed him enough when he was walking by he sat down. As soon as we got through, He's like, oh man,

I'll do that every week. And I'm like, I told you, we weren't talking to any football, no football. Three minutes closer, we got the football as you brought it up. Yeah, I didn't realize he was the low first thing. The shoe thing, it's funny. Oh yeah, had house shoes on, furry house shoes. So what you used to wear around the complex Nate in meetings and stuff, flip flaps, anything up, I can get up. You know, I went to bed at four in the morning. He's put on anything and

come on, just straight? Did you ever go straight into meetings? A couple of times I did that? Yeah, well I was scared to go home. Yeah, because you framed to fall asleep. A sleeping wouldn't make it, so you just go straight to risk My wife cussing me out missing meetings and paying a heavy fie. What's the most you ever got fine when you were playing? And what was it for? Waituh? Fitted out fitted all as a pound? I think maybe I was like twenty thirty pounds on

the way. Was it was it a one time fine or was it every day till you got it was one time? Either where you once a week? So yeah, wow, oh yeah find it every well? You ought to be mad you losing all them on honest man, I'm losing all them. Course, Like, what's the most you've ever been fine? Kirk me, I don't know you ever been I made it? Deadlines? Have you missed? I don't. I haven't missed any deadline. No, No, I wouldn't get fined if I do. Have you ever

been fine for anything? Well? Probably like traffic tickets or something. Oh okay, but how about you not at that level of athletic Um, I'm trying to think I had to pay. Yeah, probably traffic tickets. How about you, Douglas. Definitely traffic tickets. Yeah. I hadn't had a lot. I've only been in two accidents. Wow. Yeah, I don't think I got a ticket for either one. I think I had a speeding ticket in a I've never had a job where they find you. I had a job where they chew you out. Yeah. Have you

been chewed out? Oh yeah, there's Ted Hi Ted hard Aka. So why tell me the story before we get out the air. Why did y'all put Why did y'all put this to rest? I missed that party? The thing else somebody said that they went to the Christmas party and he was called that hey fish killer, and his wife dropped his head like she didn't like it. She like him being called aka fish killer in front of all the upper higher up or so we put that to bed.

So we said, okay, you've been fishing. Because I thought about it, I said, man, I won't want him to be out, you know, doing something, having a great time and and the wrong people here. Hey, fish Killer man. He explains what he does, and then just the wrong people here and I'm like, oh, think he's a mafia hit man. But I'm just you know, it's there's a lot of people out there that if you do anything

not knowing that this man eat the fish. No, seriously, he ain't out just one tongue to be killing fish, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, but the way I make it sound, people would think that, oh man, he just he catching fish cut the side, you know. Don Yeah, he takes a stick of dynamite to your local watering hole. Yeah, yep, I said, you know better, better stop this from tag getting a little trouble. You know, we gotta have him

a nickname. Now, he got there putting up the Christmas vice and he's doing a little thing for the for the Christmas show, and all of a sudden he walks by there but there's fish Killer and all the kids like, mommy, mommy killed the gold fish. You know what I'm saying. Funny, we could somehow rig the video boards so awesome, twenties out there checking on stuff, and there's just a picture of a goldfish bowl with a death Nate over the speaker. Kill. But we gotta come up with baby. We gotta get

him another name. Yeah, you gotta come up with a new nickname. I don't know. We need to read well, we gotta come up with the name. So good podcast handle vander Ish. Is it gonna be wolfman? Wolf? What we're gonna do for venderation? You know what? Just so we don't get in trouble with these animal rights, That's what I'm trying to say. Maybe he should be wolf man. Yeah, I was thinking dire wolf like from uh he's a freaking house of stare wolf. Could be, could be. We'll

have to think about that. Yeah, but I think wolf Hunter called him white wolf, white Wolf, white Wolf. I like that. That's that's good man. We gotta find some Dad just walked by shaking his head. You gotta find we gotta call him Goldie Goldie, Goldie Goldfish like that Goldie Goldie. What's up? All right? Fellas? You are ready to leave? Yes, sir? All right, Kurtis, thanks for showing up. Man, good job yesterday. It was funny. Listen they bringing it. Douglas,

thanks for doing what you do. Kitt Thank you, Presley, thanks for doing what you do. We will be back tomorrow. Tomorrow's Friday, isn't it Friday? Oh? Your mom is your mom? Oh? Yeah, yeah, mom, mom, Dad? Another good week. If you're not on the mom mama gross train, it's not too late and still get on it. She's killing them. It's not too late to get on for entertainment purposes only that's true. That's true entertainment purpose. Are you not wanting to be entertained? Do you know

that's what DeMarcus Lawrence is? This is right? Oh? Is that what it is? Yeah? Are you not entertained? Yeah? Yeah, that's what he does. Are you not entertained? He actually stopped coming back. I think it was the Saints game, coming back through the club, you know, in the midller Light club where they come in and off the field, put his pads down in his helmet, stopped and did that for all the people. They went nuts. He picked his stuff up and ran back pretty crazy. That's good stuff,

all right, fellas, it was fun. We will be back tomorrow. Are you not entertain time? Same place. We're gonna try to game doubt, make Kurt believe tomorrow On Hanging with the Boys. This has been a production of Dallas Cowboys dot com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club
