The following is a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club blowing out of the backfield, flumping down the sidelines. He's Hanging with the Boys, broadcasting live from Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters at the Star in Frisco. Now your host, Nate Newton, Kurt Daniels, and Shannon Gross Tuesday. Hey, hold on, hold on, man, Hey Doug, can you just do that whole open again? Man? Yeah? Can you do

that whole open again all the all the time? I mean all of it, you know, and all the computers and everything. Okay, Okay, here, here we go. Here, y'all need to get pomped on this well, putting this together a great Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club just to build up out by love it. Hanging with the boy I don't know who did age. I don't have that kind of talent. Now your host Nate Newton, Daniel, Yeah, who put that together? Douglas? I put all of them together. Okay,

show for the last fifteen years. We don't care about what you did at last fifteen year. We care about what you're doing now, baby, Nate, your moods a little different today because I gotta happened. I'm looking at you two guys like y'all in a prison break. You're killing one too. Wow. Look today. Yeah, it's a little cooler in here than it has been in the past. Wow. Man. Yeah, So Kurt and I got new hair dues. Yeah. It didn't even call me. I didn't even call the brob. Yeah.

It was a kind of spur of the moment decision. So I do. I do appreciate your doing this means a lot. Hey man, I just wanted you to know that you know that I'm an idiot for one, and uh, you know, I mean, wow, there's not much we can do through this journey that you're going right, except to support you and just let you know we're thinking about you. And I was, you know, I might have had a few beers last night when this idea popped in my head.

And uh, I was sitting next to my buddy at the bar, and I don't think it was shave my head to marrow. He goes, that's a terrible idea, And I told him why. He goes, that's that's really effing cool. And I was like, so I'm gonna do it. And I actually asked a couple of people in the office before I went at ten o'clock this morning, did you asked a couple of books? Yeah, I would reconsider. This morning, in the shower, as I was washing my hair, I

was like, I really liked this hair. Yeah, hair too. See, that's what the one thing that I feel bad about it Like, you know, I live vicariously through you because you know, I'm old, and I got kids, and I live in a suburbs and all this ball and you're uptown. Man, you got the look, you got the girls, you're out. Wow. I gotta live through you now. Well wow, I hope you can keep this up without the hair. I we'll see. Maybe I'll give it a spind the night, see how

it works out. That's that's huge. That's cool. I'm gonna be ball as up tomorrow. So how about you? Is you coming with us? Are you? Uh? What I leave this show is like boom, I'll be I'm going program. I'm a team member about But I want to know is Douglas Tamer I'll go to the barber with you. It's like, I'll pay for it, but I'm not getting in the chair. Okay, Well, Kurt we love you, man, come back. I really appreciate it. Yeah, and we just I just wanted you to know that, like there's not

much we can do except be there for were you? Yeah, and you know it's just it's just hair and both of ours will grow back and you know, so it's good. Yes, Okay, thank you. Now now we're through all that. Eight eight eight eight five five twenty two ninety seven eight eight eight. We want to know if the twenty two I should remember him it all for you should? Yeah, we want to know if the sky is still falling after you had another night's sleep on that game, and if you

watched the two games last night. Truly he's the guys, Scott still falling for you. As you saw the ease quarter. These quarterbacks two interceptions. These quarterbacks I one of them had a terrible night. I on Holland Park. It was terrible night. That was brutal. Yep. Do you still feel the same way about our car? Even though they had terrible nights, they were still going down the field with it. Yes they were, and they would get throw an interception

and then they come right back and have memories. So I think that's kind of where I'm at so do you feel that the sky's fault? Well, see, I was, I was obviously gone. Yes, Dad, I listened to the show and I got to admit I need I need to be talked off the ledge a little bit. I've got some concerns there. Yeah, what do you think about the game? First, because we didn't get your take on it yet. The game overall was ugly. I mean it looked like a team that you know, I hadn't played

together much and and just couldn't get much going. I what are your big concerns coming out of that game? Dak? Definitely, that's your biggest coness. My biggest concern and what part of Dad that I think defenses are going to do exactly what Carolina did. They're gonna load up and stop the run. They've got our our guys on the outside. The receivers, I don't know are good enough to beat one on one coverage, and that means Dak's got to carry the load and I don't know yet. Let me

stop you right the hangover. Look at that monitor, man, Look how everyone knows you're pretty cool? Good that is to you. It's pretty shiny on that screen, now, you know, what my friend and I got into like six arguments yesterday on different spots and hits. I was doing when I when I watched the game, I'm watching it. You know, I'm kind of from a fan a little bit, mostly analysts because we have to do this thing. Man Man broad Us and ever Swaz was with us and miss lindsay. Yeah.

But when I got home and I watched and I started watching that film, and I started watching the game over and over, I just kept running it back, and I'm saying to myself, I quarterbated me fixed. And then I start hearing hearing the different over the last nine games, this, this, and this. So two questions I have And y'all may not have these questions, but I have these questions. Is

is it our offense? It called our execution. I call an execution offense where my guy lines up and through my guy being better, my guy being more prepared, we're gonna succeed. Okay, if do we have the right players for our offense? Are Because if we don't have the right players for our offense, that means our coach is gonna have to make some great adjustments to help these guys get open. Okay, Yeah, you're supposed to run a five and end. Yeah, you're supposed to run a skinny post. Yeah,

and you're supposed to clear out this or this. But can you get there so our quarterback can set his feet because now all of a sudden we got to hear about mechanics again. Can't set his feet and get the ball out of his hands? Or do we go back to his roots of where we run the zone read a lot and let and let and let the run pass option always be in in in his repertation? What do we do? I don't know. It's only one game, one event, but we didn't. We didn't get into their

fifty yard line into the third quarter. We didn't get in the ridzone until almost the fourth quarter. Okay, when we left training camp, this is what we knew. Our offense is supposed to hold us. This is what we knew. Okay, a lot of teams struggle. A lot of teams are supposed to have good offenses struggle. But also a lot of teams with good offenses didn't struggle. Okay, our defense played well enough that we could have won the game. It was sixteen eight. How do we fix and this,

just Nate, how do we fix our quarterback? We have to fix our quarterback because I understand that we are running team. But but teams are gonna stop that they're I've been trying to say this for two years. What happens when they stop by a run game? What happens when they do load up or they got four or five guys up front that's good enough where they can cover in the back end. What happens now? The weakness going into the Carolina game, that one thing that we

knew was gonna be weak. Was there two corners? It didn't even come to that. No, it didn't even come to that, fellas. And now you're getting ready to face two pretty good corners in excellent safety. So let's go to the phone. We gotta call her, Adrian and Florida. What's up? Adrian? Hey, guys, what's happening? First time I'm calling a long time listener. Thanks for listening. Man, Hey, Kurt, good to see you back, man, Shannon, Good to see you a sport in the h mister clean, look feels good, man,

Feel good? Y'all looking good? Big Nate Man, I always love you, brother. I'm not gonna keep y'all along, but I went up to the game on Sunday, caught all kind of hill. Grew up in Charlotte, but I've always been a Cowboys fan. Was it seems like the Cowboys are always playing checkers with everybody else's playing chess, kind of like that analogy. You know, my friend, Uh, I'm not gonna be one of those people that pile on

to our coaches and pile on. But if we expect to be successful with our run game, we do have to have the ability to kind of say, okay that we may have to run on the edges because the middle is the middle ist is tough with with Dontario, Pole Short and Kinkley, that was that was a triangle we didn't We shouldn't have. We should have been trying to get on the edges to you know, as the game went on, they figured out, we gotta get on

the edges. We can't go in with two tight ends in the full back and run straight up the middle. Because once we challenged their manhood like that and they won that round that they was flying around. For the next twenty to twenty five play they would flying around. They didn't care, you know, and now they say, okay, we got them behind the chaine. We were two and two and eleven. On third downs, they got us behind

the chains. Whether it was a penalty, whether it was a bad route run or you couldn't get it open, or whether they caught us in the backfield or sack, they kept us in lone yard of situations. You can't survive like that. Yeah, not so much. Third down killed us. It was first and second. That it's called execution offense. When you run an execution offense, every down is important, you know, whereas you're a little more inventive a lot

of teams second and second and seven. Don't bother them to wait second and seven bother us, you know, because we have to have when you run our execution offense, and all offenses are predicated offense. But us more so important is when we get the third down, it has to be third and fourth, third and four or third and three. It has to be third and four and less. Whereas as you saw last night with the Raiders, as you saw last night with the Rams, thirty five, on't

bother them. I mean it's just something that they do, you know they if you saw, I mean they ran the jet sweep with number thirty that's Todd Gurling. You're running back running a jet sweep. And so when jet sweeps, they called it a fly sweep. Last night that was what my man with was called the fly sweep. Okay, the fly sweet work. When you truly have a your running game is working. It truly works. But you it's different ways you can run it. You can run your back in motion out to the to the to the

slot and bringing back across like they did. You can you can do your saying with your wide receivers, you know, but you have have you have to have had some success doing other things. We didn't have success. So when we ran out one time with our guy jets shop be didn't getting no game? Yeah yeah, Adrian, was there was there a silver lining in that game for you? Or was it just you just disgusted with the whole thing? No, no, no, no, man, I'm telling you what. I was impressed with a defense.

I mean to give up what thirty three percent first first time percentage for Carolina. There was a lot of times that we had a chance to have a lot of turnovers. That one that he'd missed, h the interception he had he could have had Normally he would make that. But that's okay. Uh, defense played good at Silver Line. It d Law did what he needed to do. Sean Lee, you know that's a rarity that he missed a little a tackle from little McCaffrey. You know. Overall, you know,

Rady Gregory got in there, got into action. A lot of stuff looked good on the defensive side of the ball. We just need to be a little bit more balanced. And I think it's gonna happen. I'm not gonna you know, I'm a rider Doc cowboy fan. I'm not gonna get uh, you know, start firing people as the first game. I think it's because everybody's vanilla from not playing enough snaps in the preseason. I think it'll work itself out. But the defense looked great. Hey man, I appreciate y'all and

always keep it up. Man, love you, Kurt, appreciate it. Thanks Adrian, Kurt. Was there a silver lining for you? Well, yeah, there were some good things from the defense, for sure. I don't offensively, No, it wasn't a lot, but I mean, you like what the front line can do. I think, you know, Melee Collins got in their first sack. You know, DeMarcus looks like he's picked up right where he left off.

Ross was a pleasant surprise. I think both corners. Both corners played pretty well Louisia and Uh Byron Jones, I don't know. I think going into this season, what you hoped for was a maybe defense in the top half of the league and in the lead offense. UM, but you might have one of those. Well, I think you're gonna have a good upper half defense, but I don't know if you're gonna have an elite defense. Yet they're gonna need him if it's offense didn't turn. I agree, man,

we we almost took for granted. I mean I did, and I keep saying weak, but I took for granted that all offense would be not not hitting on all cylinders, but would just be a what would by the second by the second quarter. I'm like, Okay, we're gonna figure this out and we're gonna you know, they cannot hold us up on the twenty points. I just I felt that I believe that, uh, and I still do. I'm still if Dak has some special things that he has

to work on. Okay, it's twelve hours in the day, yeah, okay, and let's work on them, on them, because when the game comes, it has to all be natural. Believe me, now, when the game comes, if you're thinking in the game, I don't know. I don't know it. But the dak we saw for twenty for twenty games his rookie year, and then for six to seven games his sophomore year don't match what we've seen well, I think the last eight or nine games, because he had in running he

had a running game. Then for the most part, he didn't. He hasn't much this since the second half of last season at all things. You know, let's go back to the phones. We actually have two Nates in Frisco. What's up, Nate? Hey, what's going on? How are you doing? Guys? All right, man, how are you doing? Okay? So I don't want to I'm not in panic mode and I don't want to

have a knee jerk reaction. But you're looking at the schedule, and even though I know the Giants, you know lost, I just I'm so pretty worried about this offense, uh, particularly because of Dak And it's really not the receivers. I think it's dak Um. But I don't want to go. Like I said, I don't want to get two panicky. But my question is if we're looking at oh and two or oh and three after the Seahawks, hold on, bro oh Man, whoa you you ain't panic but you

just said after you ain't panicking. But if we look at at oh and two and come on, now, so you either panicking? Are you not panicking? Because it ain't lining it up? Okay, so let's start over. We got nat in Frisco. Now what you're thinking, what's going on? NW? Al Right? Well, my question is if if I mean, if we are hypothetically and an O and three record after week three, uh, is that where we're gonna start really honestly looking at outside the organization for a new coach.

And And the reason I knew you was going there, I knew you was going The reason I asked that is because even though I mean, from what it looks like, from what it sounds like, uh, you know, they've been kind of doing some kind of patriot esque type of moves, you know, trying the roster now, whether it's for financial

reasons or whatnot. But the reason I ask is even though he renigged into decided not to go be the coach Josh Josh McDaniels could be out there, and maybe an organization like the Cowboys is a little stronger than the Colts, and so maybe we can maybe he decides to leave. I don't know. My question is, wow, Nate, Nate, we have fifteen more games. We're not going to answer that question, not today, And you just said you don't want to You're not paying hypothetically got our coach out

of here. Okay, So Nate, is it anything else? And if you ask for prayers, you better be driving like hell. Now you have a nice day. Okay, Thanks Nate, Thank you, Nate. I'll say one thing that watching that game, attend again, it was first game overreaction and panicky stuff. But there were times during that game that I thought I'm watching a franchise quarterback and one that's not. And I realized Cam's got more experience in his just a bigger body.

But it just that that position worries me a little because Dak is gonna have to carry this team at some point. I tell people I would be the first that we are running team, and I buy into that wholeheartedly. But the NFC East and I was trying to tell our look Camber guy. That a good guy, young guy. I was telling them during the preseason game. I say, Wow, we gotta, we gotta, we gotta, we gotta work through

our young guy. We gotta make sure that he's healthy and our young guy don't get mentally beat down our left guard. He said, well, you know, it's just the Cincinnati I say, son, do you know that we got these certain guys in our division that was one was drafted after, but Fletcher Cox was a guy that they always had in Philadelphia. We're gonna see them two times. We're gonna see Snacks and in Devin Harris two times, and we're gonna see them two Bama boys that's getting

better for Alabama. We're gonna see them two times, those guys with the Redskins and the guys with the giants. Was brought here because we got Zeke. You see what I'm saying, And they want them to say. We don't want to have to commit an age guy to the box.

We want to try to do this. And now we have a left guard that's learning and I think he will get better in a center that we know it's playing okay, but our center normally, could you know makes out until we get comfortable with Looney in the running scheme, in the passing scheme, and see what he truly can do. And we're gonna have to deal with that. My only issue is, I'm not even worrying about the left guard. I'm worrying about can we scheme up enough that we

can take a little bit of the pressure off. And because in the world that I live in, and that's the offensive line, you can't spend all day trying to help one guy. You can't. It's just it's impossible because they're gonna it's gonna cramp your offense. But it is a few things you can do to slow down those other guys and uh, you know, getting get a little bit more to the outside, which I think we tried

to do as the game went on. Uh, quicker passes, because if you saw last night they were doing a deal on car way earlier, he was getting it out one point seven. No, yeah, you know, he was just getting it out of there. And but but I knew, you know, later on in the game said, because they're gonna start sitting on them quick fast, you're gonna have to stand back there and throw it a little longer and when you did, that's when the pressure came. And so it's it's a it's a checkers game, not a

chess game. It's a chess game. And like I like I said, you know the reason I am kind of panicky because you got herb and fix the quarterback. That is one position that from week to week changes for that quarterback. You can have it. You can keep the same running scheme for your offensive line, you can keep the same blocking scheme for your offensive line. But what changes is that quarterback that his game plan changes in various every week depending on what that defense presents. I mean,

it truly changes. So you can't be saying, okay, now when you drop back this time, make sure your foot is pointing the way you're gonna throw, and make sure your shoulders a square because when you get up under heat, like we saw last night with even a cluttering quarterback at Detroit, when you get up under heat, a thing

started to go haywire in your head. A quarterback, to me, they say he's a thoroughbread but I think a quarterback is a mule, and a mule once once something go wrong, a mule pool all day, but once something go haywire, wrong up in here. Hill stop and he gonna start either bad brand or kicking, and a quarterback on either start uh throwing interceptions. Whole bunch of incomplete grounders there is. Yeah. Yeah,

that's yeah, that's a great comparison. Yeah, I'm just saying, yeah, mut start brand, are you gonna kick the living hard? I'm serious. Let's take a quick break. When we come back, let's talk about we'll get to Tim in Boston. We'll take some more calls, but let's talk about how big of a game this second game is. I'm like I said, I'm not panicking. I think it's one game. But the hypothetical. But the hypothetical is the coach is gone them himself. No, but it's this, if you think about it, this is

a big big Is it a must win? I think damn near it. Thanks thinking my call. Hey, I agree with Nate said to a little bit there. You know, I went back. I watched that all twenty two and some of our receivers were open. I'm a little nervous about the quarterback, but I think he's gonna pull together. It

just seemed like he was thinking too much. You know, he was patting his hands, the feet were moving a little bit. Um. We've seen him do it before. I think he's gonna be fine. It's only one game. On to the Giants, Kurt. We're thinking of Yeah, thank you, sir, Yeah, hold on, hold on a minute, and who are we talking to? Tim? Where where are you from? Boston? Okay? Yeah,

because I'm like, wait, I've missed the Boston part. But well you sound sweet now you got that Boston train going, yes, sir, yes, sir, I'm liking that. Man. Huh you're a Celtics fan, right, yeah, yes, sir, man, yes, sir, just serve man. What's you're thinking? Hey, what's the word of the highest things going? It's going? Wow, it's gone. Wow. They looking good and Celtic sporting good. So you think

we'll take the East, man, isn't it? You know it's Philly gonna be a problem or what because they don't have a GM O. I think they'll be okay, don't be okay, we got the NA she's keeping things right, you know, all right moves, but I think we'll be okay. Now, let me ask you this, are the Cowboys going to take the East because Philly does have a GM that's ugly, man, Cowboys will be okay, okay, all right, just just one down, okay, right,

appreciate the call and we're gonna talk about that. You gave that greatest where we need to be, Yeah, giant it is. I agree. It's one game and I'm chalking it up to knocking the dust off. The offense didn't play together at all as a complete unit in the preseason. Sean Lee had a bad game, and your defense still had a great game. Jalen looked, I guess somewhat looked somewhat. Uh. Someone just walked by the studio that hasn't seen Kurt and I's new look yet, and they've been what is

she gazing at? And uh so you know, you had some key players that didn't look great. They looked okay, and the defense still looked good. But this game in uh, this game in uh Sunday at the stadium, to me is a big game, all right, Nate? Why so Courtney that that runs our social for our cheerleader accounts just walked by and she almost passed out in the hall. So why are you gazing? Nate brought her in here? So what are you? What are you bringing her? I

just want to know what were you gazing at? What? What's the problem? Hood? He's got some normal situation here. My eye just caught like a shining spot, right, Harry spot in one place too. It's a little brighter in here today, Yeah, a little bit. I got confused with the razors this morning and went up and stead of down. Oh so so so so when you looked at him, he was amazed. But when you looked at Kurt, it was like wow, two of them right, yes, but the

beard is really you know contrast. Yeah, I look like a super villain in a comic book, Kurt, Kurt looks nice and cleaning. You still look wow? Yeah, they told you, in the words of Nate Newton, Wow, yeah, man, you look like you just broke prison. Bro Ye. Know, I'm just saying, I'm just saying that at least I don't look like prison broke me. Well, you says, I just wanted to bring you in and see why why you gave us that Wow look, you know what I'm saying. Wow,

little shot. What time four to five on Thursday Here Dallas Cowboys dot Com, DCC Twitter and Facebook Live. And we have DCC Maddie and DCC Miranda as our first guest, a couple of veterans. So it should be a fun show. Excited. It'll be what's happening in boys these days? Oh, just hanging, just hanging, hanging and trying to forget about Sunday and move on to the Giants game. So you're a big Giants fan, right, I'm a Giants fan, but I'm a Cowboys fan. I just card thank you for coming in.

Yeah yeah, Well I don't know about the girls right now, but the Giants game. To me this it's hard to say that there's a must win two games into the season, but if you start looking. We talked about it earlier all the tirebreakers, the NFC is where you're gonna have issues. This is a division game, and if your team struggles on offense like it did last week, now it's time to me, it's time to panting. That means you got

two weeks in a row you hadn't. Now, if you go out and you play a tight, a really good game and you put up a lot of points and you just get beat, I'm still not panticing yet, but if you go out and you look like you did on offense, I'm worried. And I think they're going to see the exact same thing. I mean, the Giants have better secondary than Carolina, don't Apple and Jenkins on the corners and Collins at safety, and well Collins Collins is playing an Apple look better. I mean he was very

existent first few years, but he looked at better. I'm gonna look at the film again and we'll have Broadest one of these days to really give us a breakdown. I want to know about the Apple because but they couldn't stop talking about him out But I was doing something else at the time when when the game was on. But I tell like zer Man, I only had one issue that like people you know, the guy called and said looked like the receivers over I felt in my

heart and I still do. We have to fix our quarterback. We have to get this guy back to uh that efficient. His demeanor is good, I mean he but he's not he's not swoll up like he would last last two years ago. Yeah, you can just feel it. You know, he's starting to feel the pressure. Whereas before when he was a rookie, he was just enjoying it, and part of last year he was just enjoying it. But now he's starting to feel the pressure of being a Dallas

Cowboy quarterback. And don't don't don't don't, don't succumb to that, you know, Jimmy Johnson, what always tell us be called coach Landry? Can you talk about being happy? You know with coach Johnson? Did enjoy the game? It's only it only last three hours. You work maybe forty hours a week. They enjoyed three hours, enjoyed, enjoyed, man played, played with played with pride, played with confidence, you know, and whatever you decide to do, to do it because it don't last,

only gonna ask for a short period of time. Yeah, you know, so I liked you you said it earlier. I mean, do they need to I don't remember them doing that play action or run, pass option, hard read option whatever. Yeah, the read option, they hardly did it at all. I don't think is that something they need? Do they need to get it more involved. Well, I bigger threatened to run game anything, no, no, anything that

gets him comfortable. I don't. I don't know if because they could have had it called, he could have changed it. They could have read it right, you know what I'm saying, Whereas it was obvious we wasn't reading it right with Cam because you saw twice where Sean Lee just ran

in up trying to get mccaffreine. All of a sudden he snatched it out and then you had the defensive ends knife, and in you got everybody knife and in that even the corners open with a second half, they limited that because they hey, you know, stay home, stay home because that three yard run ain't his worse than that fifteen yard run. You get what I'm saying. So how do they fix it for? How do they help Dak? And see? This is where I wish I was smarter.

I know he hesitant, well hesitant of what I don't know is he seeing the field? Because if he sees the field, I feel he can get the guy the ball be decisive. I mean you one thing about a lot of these interceptions over the last these last Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I'm talking about college too. You guys at the ball go. Yeah, I think about he's gonna sling it. They let the ball go. You know, we know you protect the ball, but you gotta let it

go sometimes you got you gotta let it go. That and and if your body not perfect, So what, he's not in a position where he can be a bus driver. He's gotta he's got to push the ball. He's gonna hit more when it when it, when it calls for when it Well, I think right now because because they're gonna stack the running game because the receivers may not be as strong as you're like, I don't think he can. He can't be a bus driver. He's got to be

a guy that makes place happen. Yeah. And hell, in this game, if you go down the field, thirty percent of the time you're getting to pass defensive pass interference call anyway. So I ain't necessarily saying you got to go down in the field because you can dnc and dunk and get down the field. But when you're dining and dunk, you can't miss. Like it's certain games when you look at the pictures, and I'm not saying he's

Tom Brady I'm just giving you an analogy. If you look at some of the games Brady that throw like fifteen passes, no, no, none of them over twenty yards. Yeah, you know, and if it's over twenty yards, because one of the guys on ram more than twenty yards, five yards, ten yards, all of a sudden, you'll see grump over the top, or you'll see at them and over the top.

But they what if you but but he but when you the shorter the passes, you told you can't miss him hanging there Anthony, because I can't miss I got a question for you, guys will go to Anthony after this. Teams that we just looked it up. Teams that start owing two over the past ten seasons only make the playoffs ten percent of the time. About that, Yeah, is

this a must win game? Knowing how you played the first game, and if you don't get back on track Division game, NFC game, it definitely adds more pressure, that's for sure. I think that. I just say it's gonna wait. Even I agree. And this is a young team, A young team. You don't want them going you know, you don't want them thinking that. Oh man, you can tell me what you want and win winning no game. You

know they mind ain't strong. So you talked about that earlier, about how one game can Yeah, you can ruin your team, So you gotta you know, you preaching to teaching, but they want to you want to have some success. So I'm sure on that film they're showing, Hey, you open right here, run that the same way, are you? Hey, that was a good play right there. You know do this dude that you know they're coaching from behind the

eight ball. I remember coach John Matten used to tell us, like, you know what fellas, I rather win a penalty field, ugly game then lose a good looking game. You can tell a got how good he looked. They look at the scoreboard. That's all the matters. Yeah, Anthony Miami, what's up? Man? You stay in drives or is it raining there? Man? Off and on, off and on not like the Carolina coach. Man, we pray for those people. Man, Hey, man, I love

the up. Proud of y'all. I went a ball hit myself and I can't wait till you do yours too late man to walk. Yeah, I'm trying to get dug in now with us, bro Kurt I always told you you you you the show man, you dug You know what I'm saying. Wait a minute, let's let's tap the breaks, Anthony. So proud of y'all. Man,

trust me, man, my favorite show man. All right, appreciate it, thanks, Anthony. Yeah, yeah, I had somebody you know what though, you don't want Anthony? Right? Yeah, yeah, you trust love. But yeah, but you did tell us you call it of the shows I'm your girl from keeping out. Yeah, keep it out. You know. Actually, somebody hit me up on Instagram this week after you cut Anthony off. Yeah, he goes, Man, I really want to call into the show, but I'm afraid Nat'll get onto

him cut me off in mid sentence. I don't. I don't do that as off the down because I try to stay away from that. You know, sometimes you got to, Yeah, sometimes you got to. But in the summer times, we need that. We want that because somebody ain't gonna show up the camp. We always a camp hold out, and we only cut you off if you're Anthony or Eric. They got beard they got beard care products, and they got lip

bomb and I cream and facial wash. Hey, how long is it gonna be for your hair girls back? Uh? Probably next spring. I'm a guess. I don't know know where the winner or something like that. I don't expect you to keep that game about a month when he started getting cold, realizing how long he committed you, I didn't commit to time. So we'll see. We'll play about one shot. Well, at least we're all doing it, Doug. Okay, Okay, Michael, Michael at Arizona. What's up? Michael? Great? How you doing?

I did I just got a I guess a couple of comments. Um, when Flacco was younger, you know, Baltimore is d kind of helped him pip them into the game. Until he was, you know, a little bit more experienced. Um, do you think that's something that might happen in that situation where the defense is gonna, you know, helping pep them in the games until he gets more of a rhythm going on. You know what, brother, I try to tell people that that has happened so often in this

league where guys are trying to grasp the game. Wilson with the run game, with the best mode in their defense with Seattle for three years, he had the luxury of that defense in that run game. Uh Flacco for two or three, maybe four years, he had the luxury of Ray Lewis and and and ed uh came th Ed Reid and and so and then they had nice wide receivers man in a run game. So when you when you have all of that, it allows your quarterback

to flow freely. And that's what from that Lanta game on, that's what Dak has been lacking, is that that ability to just have everybody else around him be good and be purposeful. But that is that is why I'm trying to get everybody to see, what if that team is not like what if our team is not like that? And that's that's the coaches. I take the responsibility to let you know, hey, this is some of the things we're going to decide to do and to help you be what we need you to be. I mean, uh,

we have no backup brother. Okay, that's true. Okay, so bring that up, Michael, what was it? What was your second point? Um? It just seems like no one dimensional And I just want to know, like when when trub was playing, did it seem like, you know, he has that reputation for being a very accurate quarterback. You think that helped like loosen things up in the running game. We always started the game. Thanks for the Michael. We

always start we we we you know. Nor Of just told us he looked right in the face looking at fellas, y'all moaning. He said that night, y'all moaning and growning. He used some other choice words. He said. We ain't doing it like that. He say, gets you big fat sudden such out there. We're gonna pass black early in

the game. We're gonna try to mix it. But if the if, the if, the if, the game plan, if we got a great front that we're playing, which most of the NFC East was when I was playing they had stout run defenders, we believe back then stopping the run first. So if you had stout guys and uh that loved to play that deep safety and brain that the extra gall up like we do now defensively like they like Seattle does stop the run at all costs, like Minnesota does, like this team we just played does.

He said, we're gonna pass it. He said, we got some. You know, he already got him a duct. He already got him a duct that he gonna he gonna set up. You know, he may not hit him early, and that duck gonna pay dividends in the end. And uh, we would come out, man, Mike big snam because I remember and I've told y'all this, but he would he would look Mike ratting eye, radding the eye. Hey, Mac, we need you. We're gonna ask you to do something may

hurt you a little bit, but we're gonna throws. We're gonna need you to catch these slants for the team. But Mike didn't call. Mike wanted the ball right because he figured he get the ball four or five times, he gonna break one of them slants for you know, more than five yards. So that's what we did. We had the slants we had uh you know, we didn't have bubble screens and all that we had to run. You know, you had to run the routes, you know, so deep ends, deep outs, uh, stuff like that. You

had to run your routes. And you know we had a little crossing routes, things for Kay Martin, stuff like that. But you know when we ran the reverse, you know, we ain't care didn't work or not part of nowhere. So I'm just saying, but we had we were good. We were very very good at what we did. We

were very very very good at what we did. So but when you when you but when you are so so at what you're doing, that's when the coaches have to put their heads together and say, Okay, we can't change at who we are, the overall core who we are, but we do have to add a few things because you know, and uh, like I said, I repeat it, maybe Dad had just some bad rust this game, but that rust has been You want some numbers, Yeah, yeah,

let's get this. Yeah, since Atlanta, what's our score? Since Atlanta? That we played nine games? Now we've totaled one hundred and thirty six points, which is fifteen point one points a game. See now, if you take out two of those games we beat. We put up thirty eight against Washington and put up thirty against the Giants, you take out those two games and the other seven we've scored sixty eight points, which is point seven points per game.

And that's including this week. That's including this past week. See, brother, we need to fix out. We need to fix our quarterback, We need to fix our offense. And like I said, maybe we are way better and there to show up against the Giants because the good teams, and I'm telling you the good teams, uh, it's a lot of good teams that struggle. You saw the Rams, you know they dynamite on offense. They struggle coming out of the gate

against a Khalil Maclis Raiders team. Now they caught on fine d you know, but you can you can rest assure over the next ensuing weeks that's gonna be must see TV. Whoever the Rams. Let's go back to the phones. Dmitri and Dallas. What's up, man, how y'all doing? Man's great? Man? How are you? Dmitri? I'm good man, Demitric, have you ever called last show before. Oh yeah, man, you got have you ever got through before? Okay, well, don't tell us how great is finally get through. You a part

of the team. I'm trying to get Anti and hey, I'm trying to get Anti and Eric Statard this one. I'm know what they're a custom deals with Doug Man because they do kind of get get through a lot rode out on his name and Jay, they do kind of get to well, Doug, I get that putting to palms or something. Yeah, hey, let me one your hot I'm already on the edge. I'm at your head. I'm ready gonna walk off. I already gotten through with my

co working. Yeah, don't lose your job. No, no, no. My co worker was like, Leach, come down, it's gonna be okay. I'm like, don't be okay, Like I'm worth it, man, Like I'm worried about I do. This's been exploded because I've just seen what they've been practicing to get us all something. I'm like those boys suck man, and like everybody talking about the defense, I can't be got to

do this thing. But like, keep in mind, we did greater than the ten that might have might have a worst receiving court in ours, like they got the same problems we do, and we still I think we should have had more turnovers as also, I mean, we don't even got talked about the offense, like we're the points, like people telling me to come down, but we've got to play. He's in better defense when we're going against the Jahants, and like you know, the cowboys, they're gonna

do the same thing. So they're gonna go in there and they're gonna look at the snacks. They're gonna try to run right into them. If not, donna happen, and then like we're gonna wait around for adjustment. We're gonna come after the game. Like I'm just not saying it, Like I've been looking at the tools from Alabama. Can he come in next year? Hey? Can we just cut the lights off and you know, cancel the plane because

this dude got us with he buried us. He already had the same dog, Doug, do not let this dude back through. Seems like most people named Dmitri are vampires. Is this guy a vampire? Wow? Oh my god, are you a vampire? Dietric Hey freak come out at night? Man, I hear you talk like that, dude, Dmitri. You ain't got a wife talking like that, do you. I'm almost ten years in January, young, Yeah, yeah, I appreciate you. We're gonna talk you'all to ledge all right, do not

freak out yet. But if you get your butt whoop like you got your butt whoop Sunday, there ain't no ledge. I'm telling you, I'm not worried. I don't know why, but I feel okay. I don't know if I feel good, but I feel okay. Yeah, I don't. I'm not freaking out yet. There were some people on other shows no names will be mentioned, Snake that was burying them, burying them. This is positive show. Yet he buried his long horn, he buried his cowboys. That's that's the problem. That's the problem.

Whenever a longhorn don't have success the whole world and next day I'm telling you every where I've been the law that's at your state school. Man, you're not like Doug. We know, we know you're not. You know the last time you Snake your dudes has been on. But let let Bamma lose. Let Oh my god, you you drive through them states that boy, you're gonna get some looks like, wow, really, man, I just went around y'all put my blank on home but Texas won it. But it was man Man didn't

even have a coach and came in. I heard you mentioned this yesterday. First time I ever heard of what's the Snake training camp? Yeah, they wouldn't know because you weren't the camp. You were too busy dealing with cancer or something. Kurt was that from episode? Yeah, So we always asked other people to come on the show. Yes, Derek hates it. Nick hates it, but he'll still do it. Derek will not come on this show, that's right. Omar Epps came on the show to training camp and he

pretty much said, I'm on the show. Even the dude, this is our man, This is our guy who does it. He puts the shows together, he does that thing he asked for the guests. He goes out and does every chance of man, this dude, our ball Snake. Eagleton walks up show say hey man, I'm doing the show tomorrow, Like, what what makes you want? Omar Zone, I'm doing the show. Explain didn't want to have anything to do with anything we do. And then Omar Epps comes on the show.

I'm on the show Slia you know seen him sense nope and walk. Unless Omar comes back in the show, then it back in. Well man, this was I hate to this is a this was a show. We could probably go two hours of this. But I think the stud again tomorrow. Yeah, we'll do it again tomorrow. You're gonna be around tomorrow. Yeah, not good tomorrow. What mostly of most of the offense and most of the defense. Our offense, our defense? Which one we want to Let's

do their offense. Since we've been talking about our offenses, offense, the offense and numbers. Kurt, Yeah, now what you got Douglas, I said, check with your connection at Tommy John. See if they make a skull cap. See if they can hook you and Kurt avoid the way making me too now not hooking you up. But you ain't. No, you ain't on this team. Disappointing to you. Done, We're gonna trade you had to think about it, all right, we'll see because we'll have the big can't to say something

for really, we have to back up. We have the big KNT. Then it can't gonna be so professional when you do it. Oh no, we don't need you know how professional Ken is. One day when he produced our podcast, we had Nick on. We did like we do this show. We started getting off the rails and he goes in our just in our ear back to football guys. Yeah yeah, no, no show bro. Yeah all right, Kurt, good scene man, Thanks for showing up. Nate, thanks for bringing it. We'll

see your ball to freaks come out at night. Douglas. We'll think about keeping you okay offense for the Giants. Tomorrow we will have something on that ye kn't. Thanks for pushing the buttons, Douglas. Thanks for doing what you do even though you're not participating in our little gag.
