The following is a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club. Blowing out of the backfield, flowing down the sidelines. He's hanging with the Boys, broadcasting live from Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters at the Star in Frisco. Now your host, Nate Newton, Kurt Daniels, and Shannon Gross Thursday. What do I say? Shannon will speak? What do you say? But what they say? Shannon Shannon hosting hosting. Okay, Yeah, I'm like, I'm trying to figure that out. Host. Yeah,

I know you demand you're man. You're the talent. I'm the host. Yeah, you're the man. Curtsistat's guy. I need you to bring it today. I'm gonna bring it. Made you to bring it because we're a man. Damn. Kurt kirteld me cut my hair and did show up for work. Man, we got stiffed. At least we cut our hair. Doug, whoa you went a Doug like that? You wouldn't have him the other day? No, I didn't negotiations with my wife right now? Fair enough? Hey man, my wife was

out of town. She come home. She like really because she don't like she like a little bit of hair. I had too much and I went to nothing. She like, can we just get a little bit of hair? What did you say? Like, Babe, this all from my boy, Kurt, I said, I'm a roll like this for like until it grow back. I'm debating on whether I'm I'm molt it. Girls. Stuff mine started to grow back. I see you nubbing up. Yeah,

so still weird. I don't realize that I did this unless I walked by a window or a mirror, and then I'm like, good God, that's drastic. Lea tell you what you I hope don't happen. Please, don't forget and bump your head on the edge of the car door or something that is a terrible feeling, or you down to pick up something and hit the edge of the table. Man, you're gonna think you're gonna thank Lee Rand I'm telling you, brother, to keep that in mind. Yeah, we get better, Kurt,

We love you, man. Get back tomorrow. Today after the show, we're going to go interview the Human Law. Yes, we're gonna find out what he thinks about Nate's nickname for him, Human Law. See what happens, and Mickey's gonna join the show in a little bit. I got a question for you. Okay, let me let me pull this uh, let me pull this tweet up here one of the uh the Giants UM players. Yeah, yeah, pretty Mullins. It was Collins pretty much uh called out without calling out the wide receiving

corps and the and the the quarterback. He actually called the quarterback out. Yeah. Because this offense, our offense versus their defense, you are in the right direction. So Landing Collins quote, we really just have to focus on stopping Zeke. We need to make sure we're playing our gap assignments and make sure we take air out of their running game. Put the ball into Dak's hands, and I think we

have a better shot at winning. So he's calling Dak out for sure, and then indirectly calling out the wide receiving corps. When you played? Is there such thing as bulletin board material? Does that get you fired up if you're a receiver? Is it? Just like it does? And I'm gonna tell you where bulleting bulletin board material is good. When you're when you're equally, when you when you kind of equal and who you are and what you do

you know? Uh, like I thought it was good when Jalen you know, joking it got out the Beckham last week. You know that they these are two of the top guys, you know, and then you can you can look, you can the show is great. You know Beckham called eleven for one to eleven or you know the show is great. You know, it has a possibility to be great. But it's too early in the season. We don't know who the giants are. They all one. We don't know who the cowboys are. They all and one. I mean, I'm here,

it's obvious that, uh, we weren't successful last week. So I mean, you just but when you played, you would hear stuff like that just every nine. Now we heard that when we were when we were bad, when we got good, nobody was talking to now when you when you were good. You know, like I said, you know, like what my man did last week the corner for Jacksonville did with Odell, but jay La rowns. But that's good on good bro and they and they kind of friends,

so nothing nothing comes of it. But when you were not very good, which we're not right now, and they're not so Colin and Landon kind of don't getting wrong. He's all pro safety and uh and ze Zeke's are stood. But we'll see. Man, Mickey, we're talking today Cowboys offense versus Giants defense. Yes, we are all right, I can I can chime in. Is this offense? First off? Give us your take on the game, because I hadn't talked to you much this week. Well defensively, yeah, welcome back

to work. By the way, let's wait, let's talk about the foot. Is everything good? Ain't strap slash stafftoe? Right? I could put some of that sav on there, and uh, yeah it was a foot infection. Yeah that you got a training camp, right. I believe that's when it started. Although I thought I had sprayed my foot and that's why it was swelling up. And then things one thing led to another and I go, no, this is not

a swollen foot. There. I hate a laugh because when Mick thinking this a spray and the doc say, hey, man, let's stop and go back over what happened here. And it comes to find out that Mick was out on the beach barefoot, got a little and sore, and he got worse and worse. Well, you're always barefoot on the beach, right, yeah, And then he got into into the ocean and he I guess I should have stayed in the hot tub with Channing, right. Yeah, I hadn't been to that ocean.

I haven't been in the ocean since we've been going to camp Man. I don't know. I wasn't really in it. I was walking on the beach. But the doc said that, you know, if he had a little bit of athletes foot, there's never yeh know what got in there? Right? Wow? So yeah, I'm certainly glad to be back in a week in the hospital. Oh gosh, man, he called me? Did I call you? You called me? I think you probably called it. Yeah. I called him and he said and then he called me back. I said, what's up, Mick?

What's up? Man? You know, because we getting ready to do a show, Like, what's up, Mick? You know, I'm excited. I mean, you know, it's I'm in the hospital, laid up and I'm like, oh, man, well what's wrong? He said, you ever had stripped throat? I said, yeah, that's what I got, strapped toe. Wow. I never knew that that type of back carry went anywhere else the throat, but that's what they identified here. I am here. You are not enough to you know be probable. Yeah, what do

you think about the game? I'm imagining you weren't happy with the results. I um it was. I think when I wrote about it that called it one of the worst season openers I think i'd seen since well, the season opener in two thousand and one. One. Great when they get beat by Tampa Bay ten to six and Quincy Carter's first start, and then it kind of took me back to eighty nine when they got beat twenty

eight to nothing by New Orleans. From from an offensive standpoint, I've never seen a team so cole cocked in mine clire life. Then that team, because they came out of was uh training camp three and one one. Remember you won the last game and everybody went running off the field with their arms and they beat Yeah, and went down to New Orleans. They went to New Orleans and it was twenty eighth to nothing and they barely got one hundred and fifty yards. And that was eighty nine.

That's when the Saints weren't that great, right, they were getting good, were getting good. They had a lineback of court, and think and think about this in the twenty nine years with Tom Landry as the head coach. They had been shut out just one time. Wow, as bad as they were at the beginning, they got shut out once and then Jimmy and Jerry show up at the first game, got shut out. Oh when you think the Boo Birds weren't out, Oh, people were just hollling. Was the Houston

Texans inaugural game a season opener? That was a season opener, But at least they scored I think nine points in that. Yeah, but they were an expansion franchise lost too. But you know, Mick, this is what you know. When I looked at the game, I'm like, Wow, not so great. But I went back and looked at the film two or three times. So I wanted to make sure before I got on the

air and try to represent the Cowboys. Here was and like I told you, you know, and I was talking to a dude at the table and they asked them about the coaches. Already this had nothing. This had basically had nothing to do I know in the first half with the coaches. This had a lot to do with our offense and a lack of execution and what was going on. Yeah, it wasn't because you had pitiful players

or pitiful coaching. It was lack of execution in that judgment and it just kind of snowball then and they didn't get going until the second half. And you know, I was trying to be funny when I wrote my column. I said, oh, this looks like a team that hadn't played football in three weeks. Oh, by the way, they hadn't played football three weeks. It was just it just amazing. And I told myself, you know, I'm like this from

top to bottom. Since you gotta put the coaches in because they parted the since I said, from top to bottom, from the head coach to the kicker. This was a bad game led by a quarterback. He just had a bad game. I mean people can said, well he had six sacks. Okay, he got sack sack six times, but if you look at some of the passes lack of passes that it's just it just was not a good

game for him. And you're gonna have bad games, and yeah, but usually it's I think the difference is usually every season you're gonna have bad games that season, but usually you get off to a decent start and then your bad games come within the season. With this being the first game, I think everybody's freaking everything gets magnified. Um. And and just like Nate said, you know, it's like, oh yeah, he got sacked six times, but he missed

a couple throws. Well, do you think those six sacks don't lead to some problems in the I want a new I want a new stat too. Ft R was that forced to run because no one accounts for having to run out of the pocket right right the pass he missed the jarwin he was running. I mean, he was running out of the pocket because of what lack of protection. But the thing is, and what I noticed about our quarterback I think is his hesitation you know when and what I'm gonna say, gonna kind of answer

it for usselves. When things are going great, he just moves around and throws the ball. Uh. I don't know what caused that, especially early in the game, just to miss tholes. You know, I don't. I don't understand it. Uh. And I've told Shannon and I'd tell anybody, the game is the last place you weren't about, Uh, technique, that's it. If you were about technique in the game, you're never

gonna get off, You're never gonna do your job. If I got to worry about because my left hand, you know, that was the thing I had to work on, punching, punching, punching. When the game started, I just played instead. Yeah, if you weren't about is I'm lined up rights, I'm throwing off my proper foot. Is well, how are you gonna throw off your proper foot? If you got a four hundred pounds of land at your foot, you gotta get your foot out of the way. It's gonna get broken.

You still gotta throw the ball. So it's just that's just life. And uh, you can't. And I thought, you know, I like creativity just as much as the next man, But I'm talking about it in the first half. You can't. If you go through each series, it ain't no creativity because you will go from first and eight to second and eight to third and twenty? What's created? What? What can I create? What can I create? And I actual remember to do that. Say bay, okay, it's third and twenty,

run me a play, create me something. It ain't non creating that, bro, It's either you got the athletes because I watched other games and I saw a cup the signs way Blake borders through one of Wow, Blake got a third down fifteen, third and twenty. I see in other games where that happened. But these are well established guys with quote unquote superstar wide receivers. We don't have that here, not yet. We may can get it, but not yet. Third and twenty six, second and seventeen, second

and seventeen and third and eleven. That's what they faced their first four possessions, and then the fifth possession was the past that he short hop Jarwin. And now that you started asking questions to see what happened, it was like, yeah, he's got to throw the ball. But Jarwin kind of settled in and and then I think he took off, and so Dak was thrown to a spot and Jarwin took off. I think maybe Jarwin thought he was going to run with it, which was the other thing. He

was on the run. It wasn't like he was sitting in the pocket, you know, all right, let me throw it. He was on the run because he got pressured. So he just this was not a good game. And as Nate said, you know, what are you calling on third and twenty six? You know, And and it's not just the down and distance, it's where the ball was too because the majority of those they were inside their own

twenty yard line. And when you're in that situation, you're sitting there going okay, let me just get a little bit and punt and lived to you know, play another series and not turn the ball over. It was just it was just terrible execution that first half. Say something, This game here is huge. Yeah, this game is huge, you know, just from a uh conference standpoint, just for confidence for everybody that's concerned. It's just it's a confident builder.

Regardless of how they come out of this. They got to come out of there with with some success in their passing games, some success in their run game. You got to have that because you have enough young guys that things can go the other way for them and you don't. And this is where you know, uh, you may say, wow, man, maybe this is where Witt and dudes can stand up on the table and say something that's positive. If things don't go right this week, you know, uh,

but the Giants uh are not that much better. But they did play the Jacksonville Jaguars who got a top five defense. And I don't know yet, but I gotta fit in Caroline's who have one of those defenses took Nick. Yeah, I think both teams ran into something that they didn't need to see really good defenses, right. Yeah. And you know when you mentioned the O and one going oh and two, Well, the Giants are in the same boat. Oh yeah, you know, so they're thinking the same thing.

You know, are you panicking yet? Are you talking this first game up to Hey, they're a little rusty, they have bad execution. The game kind of dictated them playing an ugly game. I'm gonna I'm gonna trust what I saw in training camp. I'm gonna trust what I saw in preseason and say that was one of those games. Now let's go forward and see what this is. I think after one game it's a little uh, you know, extreme to just kind of throw in the towel and think, okay,

that's what they are. I think there's more to it. I think the defense will give them opportunities. You know, in my column before the season started, I said, you know, this is great. It's a young team, and but don't be afraid of watching them grow before your very eyes, because they're not going to start the season off at five and oh and see that's that. That's why I keep saying not yet. They gotta grow and I'm jumping and I'm all and I'm jumping the gun, but I'm

gonna jump. I jumped the gun on the same thing. That's why I want Michael Gallup to start. That's why I want him to do eighty snaps a game if necessary, because I saw this kid his strength in the one early time he was in the game, his strength of how he just you know, that corner thought he was gonna just jam him up, and he still went into his route and we got that holding on the man.

That's to me, that's that That says a lot because and I'm not knocking nobody, but normally when we used to get jammed up, we was jammed up and was nothing called because we basically stopped that route. This guy didn't stop his route. Man. He had another one. I think it was in the fourth quarter when they were trying to drive, yeah, and he did a crossing route and Dak was people got pushed in the dock, but the pass was behind him. If it was right on target,

he might still be running. And I agree with Nate and I said it on her show this morning. He needs to start give him all the snaps, yes and get because he's got something. If you go back and watch some of the catches he makes, how he just snatches the ball and goes. He did one in practice today when he was doing a crossing route and it was effortlessly snatch the ball and go. I think he's

really good. And you know they were talking about was it Monday, Yeah, it was Monday about the given Givens plays. These are what we can rely on. I think you can rely on him on a little slant across theddle. Why would so if both of you are saying that, both of you see the potential and he snaps, why what would their hesitation be that he's a rookie. They don't trust trust, trust right. Nate knows it right and it happens to it. I know has no, he didn't

do anything wrong. Right to give him the opportunity to get him out there. Like I told my son, I saw, I'm gonna give you a little bit, you know, I said, You're gonna my first son, King Tray. He had a he had a car in the tenth grade. Cause from the age seventh, eighth, and ninth, this kid here was just trustworthy. You tell him to do something. I used to leave him as an eight year old over at the ranch and say, man, stay over here with miss Maryland.

Don't go nowhere, don't do nothing. And if you walk over to the training room, go straight to the training room and come back. Never worried about Oh I saw you saw walking over to the training room. And he went to the training room, got himself and came back. King, King, don't you tell you what? You just come on with me? King wind up getting the car from dad, his junior year in college, this past Christmas, this sophomore year in college. It's about giving them a little and letting them see

what they do with it. Now, the question of half for Mickey and the question of half for you? Where where? What did he do wrong in training camp? What did he do wrong in the preseason games? I think he other than easily he outplayed the rest of the wide receivers. You when you have a talent, and and like Mick say, and you're trying to grow. I'm growing with his kid. I'm growing with his kid. And and last year I was wrong on Charlson because that's why I keep saying,

but they are they are the coaches. I don't know what they're seeing and what they're feeling, but I do know this. Once they started playing Charles and the back half of the last season, it spilled over into this season. He's gotten stronger. That's what Leonardlett told me, said, he need to get stronger. And I'm just telling you he needed to get strong And I'm like, I don't care, you know, because that's my old team, man, I don't care playing. And as he got stronger in the season,

they started playing anymore. And now you see he Man, I think you're gonna have a decent yeah game. Yeah, And so now here we go with this kid. But I think he's a little bit head of Charleston. I think this kid is a little bit head of charging it at this point, you know. And I'm not saying,

you know, people like with the third and fourth game. Man, I just want him get every rep with that because we have to start building something here and if this season is not as good as we want it to be, I want to be able to say without a doubt, hey man, we we got something. Well. Connor Williams as a rookie starter, what what did this gallops progress as a rookie at his position compared to Connors at his

they didn't have anything behind Connors. And Connors played on a big boy schedule at Texas and he played well against top flight uh things. They may be holding a living against Gallup because he didn't you know, he went to Colorado statism correct, yes, and they may have felt like he didn't play the big boy ball that that my man played inside and like Mick said, we he

was virtudi only option. But if you go back and you look at the game, once this kid figure out that, don't put your head in there that you're gonna have to trust in your strength and trusting your technique, and you will be all right. Because he has good feet, he has good hips, he's got some toughness to him. Don't don't let people snatch you around. That's where he may have to learn how to get rigid. It's at times you have to be lumber and at times you

gotta be rigid. And the same move is beaten him, you know, to set up snatch, set up snatch or either they try to bullet or you gotta let him bully you, let you know, get in your stands, do what you have to do. And if they bully you, then you try to regather, but don't sit there and try to from the start. So I'm gonna just get on it because if you miss start lung. Yeah, if you miss, now we got a clean shot at the

quarterback where it's four. If they run over you, you least can probably have a chance to regather yourself and our quarterback and move around. Yeah. But if you if they swoop you like that. Now all of a sudden, you see this right here, and what you're gonna do? You're like, oh my god, you don't want that. Let's take a quick break and when we come back, we'll ask Nate why he has a Oakland Raiders Beast Mode

shirt on. I do we hanging with a boy. It can be hard to find the right resource for learning about important financial matters. This is only our music, right Yeah, yeah, okay, because but Darrow, we we we we we got some. We got some banging a playout playoffs short version of our opening it Mike here hot gang style. Nate loves this short version. But you can talk while it's playing. Okay, all right, the following here's a production of Dallas Cowboys

dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys football Listen to me. Yeah, that's blowing out of the backfields, flowing down the sidelines, sir, he's hanging with the boy broadcasting line from dunas Cowboy. Look Newton, we got we got Brad doing a little rapping there. Yeah. Douglas actually did some work for once, oh taking shots, some good work too. Wow, that that happens. All that was computers music, by the way, Oh was it? You remember? Yeah? Some options and we went with that

He had a question for Mick when we went away, you see, it was coming back. I was wondering, why you're wearing a Beast black and silver. My wife got me this shirt man a while back, I think almost a year ago, and I wouldn't wear And I said, okay, I started wearing the shirt. It's

not really a Raider shirt, not best Mo shirt. It just says beasts and it's it's golden. And so are all these new head coaches gonna get fired? They all got beat Nah? Okay, yeah, I wondering we're firing coaches here, We're firing the quarterback, whole new team. They want a whole new team. And seven they went we we we

uh we react strong Lass fans, cowboy fans. You know, we kind of like have a college mentality when when we lose a whin we we when we over bowl, when we lose, we the world is coming to the end. But you know, like I said, I watched the film a couple of times because I didn't want to come and say, oh man, no creativity out of this this and this and this and out you know, nah nah, Because even with Tavon Austin. It still has to be a rhythm in the game for his packages to be

to work. You know, a lot of things. Offensive coordinators put a lot of things. Okay, we run this play, how can we run the same play as a run look and pass out of it? How can we pass out of this same look and make a run out of it. So a lot of these things go together when we running this the skinny post with Tavn Okay, they're gonna have to respect that. Who we're gonna come in, come right up underneath that going out to the flat. So it's a lot of combination routes and how they're

doing things. But when nothing works from start and you get behind the eight ball and what I call a mad dog defense common causes type defense. This is Karen, I think Carolina Panthers is if they can shut you down earlier and put you behind the chains, you know we got them. What do you? What do you? Mihicle will start with you, What do you do? What do the Cowboys have to do different this week to win

this game? What are their keys to the game other than the obvious play better you know, better quarterback player? But what are some of the smaller things. Well, they've got to execute. I gave you the first four possessions. You can't get in those situations with they ahead of a chain, a block in the back, a hold, a sack, a sack, and a bad pass. And there's five possessions. You only get maybe ten in the game, and you just forfeited five because because anytime you get a holding

call minus ten it's really hard to overcome that. Um so uh. To me, it's they got to run the ball better and you got to protect the quarterback better. If you do those two things, then you will score points. If you don't, you're gonna struggle the exact same way. And it's not like, Okay, you gotta run the ball for Dak to play well. But if you're not running the ball, at least protect the dude, right, you know, I don't don't have him running all over the place.

Do you multiply six sacks time sixteen? I think you get to like ninety six. All I know is one thing, one thing that's simple, brother, stay even or ahead of the chains. Yes, if you stay even or ahead of the chains, it gives everybody a chance to contribute. He gives Zeke a chance to contribute. He gives table An Austin a chance to contribute, and he gives out wide receivers a chance to contribute. Because when our quarterback dropped back. Now, if he's got four or less yards to deal with,

he don't have to hold the ball forever. You know, he don't. He can be a little more decisive, and he has a possibility to run. Now. Now he has the possibility to run. Now, you can give it his zeke swinging out of the backfield and on scene like he gotta go thirty five yards to get a first down and he cuts down on all that blitzing too, right, Yeah, that's how you stop the blitz. Yeah, so you gotta stay in uh in. This coach here, this defensive coordinator

here comes from the Cardinals. He's the second first most blitzing coach in the league. And I don't know his name, but Derek Johnson's name. This coordinator was with the with the Cardinals. He will blitz. If he can get comfortable and get you behind the chains, he will blitz you to death. How does this team, how does this offensive line and running back fullback, how do they how do they play the blitz? Are they good at blitz pick up or they well last year. Dak has always been

pretty nice at at the blitz. The thing is is our receivers will have to make plays for him as well as he got to make plays for them. And the way he makes plays be on target. He's got to be on target. And and now you know, and I hate to go back to Mickey's writing, but it's so true. It looked like they hadn't played in a while. Man. And uh, and let me say this. I've asked goose Rick Gosman. I asked Derek Johnson, Bill Jones is a

guy respect. I'm actually you, Mick. I know it's a thin line between protecting your players and playing, but I'm gonna be honest with you. What is it to protect? I mean, you gotta play when you're a young guy with a young quarterback. And I to the deck of the young quarterback. You know. And I normally don't ever question our coaches in the preseason. Man, this one time, man,

we needed to play. Yeah, but you know what, man, and I think they would have if you weren't going into those final couple preseason games without Frederick Martin and Tyron Smith. Yeah, and that's what's the guy's name is James Beckter. Oh yeah, man, I watched the game, bro. But but let me point this out. So against Jacksonville, and I challenge either one of you to name who any of their wide receivers are. Oh see, that's that's

what I'm saying. They don't there's no whoa. This is the they lost their their guy, right, yeah, this is but see that's what I'm trying to tell everybody. And this is a question I asked yesterday. Is our defense or do they have a chance to be dominant like Jacksonville? That's the question. I think they can grow into it. But hero's I was going You mentioned about our defense. Can you stop Jacksonville? Data da or what the Giants

got the first half? Jacksonville scored on three or four possessions. The only possession they didn't score is Bortles on a deep ball underthrew the wide receiver and it was an easy interception. Yes Jenkins, yes it was. But other than that, when Leonard Fournette was in the game, they move the football. They were moving on the Giants. They couldn't stop him. And then he trained his hamstring and uh it kind of limited on the edge. Now, Yeldon's not bad, No

he's not. He's not, but he's a better pass catch. Yeah, But they were getting the ball on the edge. They were forcing all these big giants defensive lineman to go latterly, and I think they were wearing them out. Let me tell you something until Fournette got hurt. And let me say this right here. They got a dude with a long name, Safarian Jenkins, the tight end, big like our guy, big like our guy. My correct, Yes, he is a huge man, and he was handling them. He and they

was getting on the edge Befournette. And then when Fournette went out, it kind of just shrunk it down because now you act in bortles, you know, to try to win your game. Now, that's when I went to looking like you did make you probably look like well, they ain't got no big name receivers, but yet and still the offensive line held up a little bit better and he was able to make some connections. But in that

fourth quarter heat they were they were none exactly. I mean, if they don't get the interception for a touchdown, you got to get beat. In the second half, and another thing they did that we did we let a big special teams play in that? Dude? Remember fifty five seconds left he fumbled. Yeah, of all things. The Giants guy Fumber name clam or Clumb or whatever his name, he fumbled with fifty five seconds they were getting the ball

back and they fumbled. Let me ask you guys this, when you have a game like the Cowboys had this past week, where you go in with a game plan and, like Mick said, your first four or five possessions don't allow you to execute that game plan because your game plan, the game dictates a lot of how you have to change right. You got punched, You had a game plan, you got punched in the mouth, and where you do right. So after you kind of have a bad you might have had a good game plan you felt like, but

you didn't execute on the field the following week. Are you hesitant to use that same game plan again because you weren't able to implement the first week? Or do you change it up. The one thing I respect about Jason, and maybe this is a can be his downfall two is he believed in what he's doing is right. And I don't think that he's gonna come out there and just try to make some wholesale changes and mix it earlier.

He's gonna find those things that he feels that this team can do, and he's gonna try to build off of that, you know, And at this point, that's what you have to do. That's what you have to do, because what worked, So you gotta go back to the drawing board. The only thing, the only thing, something as simple as this. And I said when I was on mix show, and I'm saying that when I'm gonna we're doing our show and I will come out and people think I'm crazy, I will come out with four wide

receivers and just put Zeke in the backfield. Now, now stop me. I believe in Zeke so much that if I put me some four wide receivers out there, I don't care who you put in the slots, and I don't care who you put out wide, just put them out there. Because you see in the second half, you know, when he could cross the line of scram Yeah, he was dangerous. Yeah, when he was half having a bulldoze his way in there. When getting hit right at the line of scrimmage, just to get three yards, there's not

much you can do. But if you get him in space. No one wants to tackle him. Nah, So Mick, I know you gotta get out of here. Yeah, before you leave. What do you think we're gonna see you on Sunday? And then what's your prediction. I think you're gonna see a as good defensive performance. The Giants offensive lines not very good, and I think offensively you will see what we thought we were seeing in training camp. They will

move the football. Now will it be enough, Well, we'll see, but I think they can score enough points to beat the Giants. There you go and enjoy being with you guys or whatever. He is hoppling out of here and stripped. Appreciate it, mackey. We'll take a quick break it. We'll be right back on. Hang you with the boys. You heard Mickey's take what he thinks is gonna happen. What do you think is gonna happen? I think I don't know what's gonna happen.

I hope they come back and bounce back. But I do know this, and we talked about it when we were off the air. They they need to come out and execute. They can't. They gotta get they gotta stay in front of the chains early in the game because if not, I have a feeling this last game is gonna snowball and getting their heads and that's not gonna be good. The thing that you can't have happened like Tyrunn did something that you just don't see him do. Like when he came out and pushed the dude in

the back. You know that right there could have started us in the right in the right way. You know now that holding they tried to say he had that the refs uh one ain't consistent on that because that has never been called a holding before what he did. But you know, I don't know what the new rules are, how they're gonna look at things. But he blocked the dude. But you you cannot be with the receivers that we have trying to work without quarterback. You cannot be second

and seventeen. You cannot be third and twenty six. It's gonna always have to be at worse, third and five, at worse. You look what you want you one, it's third and four or less. You want to be able to get three or four yards on first and second down. You know you want to get three on the first down, four on the second down. That's it's third and three. It's third and say, third and three, third and four,

third and five. Is that that's a manager? Is that more keeping the defense guessing whether you're gonna pass or run? Or is that more of a distance thing. It keeps the defense a live bit guessing, But it also gives your quarterback, in your in your coordinated the better options. I mean, they're gonna play when it's third and ten, they they're sitting at nine, they're sitting at nine yards and they're gonna blitz they coming, everybody coming with everything.

They got their best blitzes. They whatever to try to make you throw that ball on rhythm, and they're gonna try to make you throw it to a certain area so they can come up and tackle you. You know, And the longer it gets, the more they can take the chance. It's third and twenty, Well, they're just gonna drop back twenty yards. They ain't any worry about, you know, just twenty six. They're gonna just hey, at twenty. They're sitting on twenty because they figure they rush gonna get

their way before that. And now you open the door where they can it's a possible pick. That's if you take that chance to throw it. Most guys, most teams just run a draw and screen and be done with it. Okay, let's let's be able to punt here and be done with it. Because the longer, the longer you have to go to futher you stretch out, the more it gives them a chance to get their defensive ends and tackles in your backfield for sacks. And so you don't want that,

or you get a linebacker, you know, tipping something. You know you're trying to throw d cross minute, somebody to tip the ball and oh in you know so. But when it's when it's quick, bang bang, third and third and two, third and one, you know nine time I ten, you're gonna run it, but the ain't. Nobody's setting up now and you're gonna bring in the hogs and everybody gonna anchor down Now. You got the option to play action, pass,

waggle out, your quarterback can run it, Quarterbacks sneak. All these things come into play, but them down line and you it ain't no nickel. You know where it's two linebackers and the rest dvs. It ain't no dying where it's one linebacker and the rest dbs and you don't know who blitzing. You know, things just get quicker and faster and hotter. But you know where people are. You know, you just can't run up. There were five linebackers on a third and one not on our offensive line, so

you know you got to bring your hogs in. Yeah, another thing that you don't have to deal with. And I didn't really hear anybody talk about it this week, but those guys at the end of that game Sunday, this is something you won't have to deal with this Sunday. It was hot and muggy and human, and those guys were tired at the end of that game. They were dragging. So I think that had I mean, you didn't start off good anyway, so I mean it was hard to

tell that over the course of the game. But how much in a game where you were playing in the heat and the elements and humidity and things like that, how much we didn't have that problem. See, See, that don't even apply to us back in the day because we practice outside, right, we practiced in the hot sun. We played in Texas stating, so that don't apply to us. So it wasn't gonna be no tired, right, It wasn't

gonna be every week. Yeah, you know, we weren'tna so called because we got through all of that in training camp. But in today's NFL, where you got to be protective of your players, you know, uh, you can find out if the team got some conditioning in the bottom you know. And and I'm gonna tell you what, the worst condition team in the world is one that's losing. Yeah, because you're not only fighting against the other team and you're losing.

Now you're fighting against your physical body and losing. You know. Here we go, Yeah, all right, let's get out of here, Nate, let's go. Let's go see what the human log thinks about his nickname. Hey man, play that play music a little bit, just you know, a little bit, don't You ain't got to start from the beginning, just you know, little back like that a mixtape.
