today's Friday. Today's Friday. It's really like a Thursday, but it's really a Tuesday. I can't keep up this weekend. Next I'm all screwed up. But you know what, I can't keep up with fellas, what's that If there are football gods out there, We're gonna find out in January, Because if football guys exists, if the Dallas Cowboys are not in the super Bowl, those two teams that we

watched last night should be as great. They have a great chance again, Oh, they have a very good chance of getting you know what, I wouldn't be mad about that either. But that was some good fun, kind of a sloppy game. But where I mean where I don't think it was sloppy because the defense forced those turnovers

like they were just dropping the ball. They were making plays the first quarter for the first five minutes for uh, the team in red and white, the Chiefs, the Chiefs, they were a little sloppy, but once they fixed their offensive off side and defensive hacking of the receivers, once they got that, the game was on. Yeah, the game was on. Brother, definitely some playmakers on that field. We'll get back to that gallant. Ye. I want to talk about that game some more because I don't want to

talk about it no more. I got some questions, y'all. I got some questions for y'all. We'll play a fun game later, okay, but right now, right now, we got to talk some very important football because the day for us is Wednesday and Thursday. Yes, sir, Cowboys offense and Ridskins defense and of the way too. And it seems like we just talked about this team. Wasn't that long ago? What was it five weeks ago? Do you realize there's only six weeks left in the season. It's going fast,

isn't it. I mean, our job is almost over for the year. I hope not hope not. How do you feel about the analysts of being on our analysts? How do you guys, honestly, before we get into breaking this game down, We've won two in a row. We and I'm including myself on the team, sure, because I feel like I'm an official member of the Dallas Cowboys. They couldn't do it without you. Yeah, as you guys should too, Nate,

Nate get Nate gets grandfather. Then of course he has been and will always be a member of the Dallas Cowboys. How do you guys feel right now going into this week their chances of making the playoffs? Do you feel good? Kurt? I do? Yeah. I think they're the favorite to win the division now and they're creeping back into the wild card count. N Carolina's lost, Minnesota's lost him there, how do you feel? I haven't had him losing all season? And I should tell you how Nate feel. You You're

something else. You are such a just wait, you know what, you are? Such a suck up to the fans that listen to this show. You never have them losing a game, you never pick against them. But I give you the truth all week long, except when it comes to who do you think he's gonna win a game. That's it. And then you then then you did I give you more trus I feel, I feel, honestly, I believe in this defense. I'm I go back and forth a lot, but I do believe. I believe in this defense. They've

shown up. Yeah, yeah, and I know Jerry said it on his show today on one oh five three the Fan. He said that, you know, this Cowboys offense hasn't shown that they can score fifty points and stay in the game, but with this defense, the game would play out different. And I believe him. I don't think those two teams

would score fifty points on this defense. They might score thirty something, but I mean, I would agree with I'm a believer after what they went to Atlanta, where Atlanta has been great offensively at home, and they held him under twenty points. What do you think like in the years past, when we've been writing our offense, we always you know, the word was if you've got a top five offense or whatever, if you just have a middle

of the pack defense, we're gonna make the playoffs. Well if that switches now, if we have a top five defense in the middle pack offense, you think that's no. No, I think you gotta score because Jacksonville, Jacksonville, we saw it quickly that melted New York two years ago. See quickly that melted. I think the league's changed the last three to five years. I think you gotta I don't think you're getting a shootout every game, but I think you have to have the ability to put points up.

I don't think you could just have a defensive. Especially Hell, look at those two teams last night, Look at New Orleans. They're they're gonna score. And defenses do play a part in games. You know, you know Donald two strip sacks. One of them went for a Touchdow. I mean he got a holding on that guy. Offensive guy. I mean, he lit it up. I mean, I can't think of the kid number fifth that I can't think of his name, but yeah, he was. He was lights out, you know,

and adventure me. Your front started playing like that and makes sure as the game went all you see, the secondary played a little bit better. You know, the secondary started hook can up a little bit better. You're gonna have You're gonna have people connected. You know, the quarterbacks today they believe in they received us and they believe in getting that ball out and new receivers are catching that rock. So last week we talked about one of the teams that was four and five or five and

four was gonna sneak into the playoffs. So now after last week, you got Washington that's six and four, you got Carolina that's six and four, you got Minnesota that's five and four, you got Seattle that's five and five. Cowboys are five and five. Green Bays now four and five, Atlanta's four and six, four five and one, Detroit, Philly or both four and six. Why not the Cowboys? Why not? I mean, I don't see it. One team in there that scares me. I think this is a different team

than played Carolina. I think you could beat car I think you could beat every one of those teams. Last two I think you could beat every one of those teams. So why not the Cowboys. One of those teams is gonna is gonna get in the playoffs. You know Washington, I mean Washington six and four, that's not gonna lie and banged up really bad, I mean without Smith now, I mean they were hurting before then. I'm in growing the playoffs. I'm back in put Mexico on hold, I don't.

I think I'm still going to Mexico. I don't. Where does after this last game for the Ridskins, where does the defense rank their defense? Yes, sir, good question. Get back to that's talk amongst yourself. So you know what makes me They are fifth in points allowed nineteen point eight. You know it was amazing and truly funny. Is hey? You know last week they they gotta win this game, da that you gotta win. They're fifteenth in yards allowed three fifty six point. This is the game right here,

fellas the one you gotta win. This is it. This is it. You know, this is it because this is where it directly affects your division. You know, this is where you gotta win. When they played the Eagles, I felt like, Okay, we gotta win this one in Atlanta. Did it didn't phase me as much because for some reason, the middle of the road teams are really stumbling this year. All those teams you just name the middle of the road teams, and it just seemed like we don't know

who we're gonna do what every week. So it's gonna come back down, Like I bet you, Carolina coach saying, man, it's what we're gonna do, and in our division, we know the Saints out there, but let's make sure nobody else in our division beat us. You know, it's coming down to us and what we're gonna do. In the East. You know, it's coming down to the Bears and what they're gonna do in a division. Because I'm not scum,

not the Bear, but the Minnesota. It's like, okay, that's went out on our division, you know, because Chicago got it kind of locked up. So it's what you doing your division as Well's don't count. I think this is I mean, this is off the rails or whatever or exaggeration, but I think winter this could be the season right here. I think they could lose this game and still get in. I see I don't. I think if they lose this game,

they're Washington go up two games, two games. Then they got the Saints coming in, which obviously is gonna be tough. I mean, you got to I just think this this season, the playoff hopes right on this game. Well, somebody's gonna get hot out of that group. Happens every year, somebody gets hot and they wins. Getting late to get hot, you know, you need to Thanksgivings when you're supposed to get hot. Yeah, that's what I mean. Think about every year.

Landry said, what was it Green Bay two? Three years ago? They won six in a row just to get in and then made a run and a giant. I mean, if you win, then you could say the Cowboy. That's three in a row for the Cowboys. They're hot, they're rolling. But if they lose this one, man, it just derails everything. Well, they've lost too many before. Now is the problem. I think usually to win lose many, you know, yeah this one Saints, now you've lost seven. I mean, you think

you're gonna win the rest of it. The thing is you need to beat Washington because you got screwed so hard on that LP lattice or pre snap penalty at Washington to win the hearb was that to tie to go into overtime? through his progressions early in the game. They did the Cowboys need to do anything different on defense because they only scored twenty points against us the first time at home. So I'm just wondering if you guys think that this is the game where he has to come out and have a great game to where now defenses are gonna have to do, you know, basically shitting over the top of the safety all that stuff, good stuff, rather than just put a corner on him and try to get leiminate him in that way. Yeah, great question, man. You know, that's a great point, and that's something I'm really interested to see. You're playing, You're playing a team that you've

already played once with your old setup. Now you're playing them again a few weeks later with your new defense, with your new offensive line coach, your new toy at receiver. Yeah, just kick their ass all over the field and be like, hey, you know, we ain't playing around anymore because it just if we if we

let it be. Because the team outplayed us last night when when When When when the team in the red and white Kansas City Chief walked off the field, they knew that, Like, okay, y'all got us to night. You know, well, we're gonna we're gonna play. We're gonna set a target and the only way we can play all is the be in the Big Dance. So we're gonna we're gonna focus and you know whatever, whoever we have to go through to get the y'all, that's where we're coming. Now.

It may not beat them in the super Bowl, and maybe the Saints uh in it somebody else, but now you got something you can focus on. The Cowboys need to say what do we need to do? And there their satisfaction can come early because now the Red Skins is the leader of our division. Now you you had a chance to run straight through them. M you got a chance to just run straight through them. The quarterback is injured. He is their leader. Now. Coche McCoy is

more than capable enough of making things happen. But don't give him a chance. If we get that ball first score seven, we can't drop nothing. We got to be so sharp in that first half. But if you know how to do it just right, it is so delicious. It is unbelievable. Yeah great,

very high level talent. Yes, I think the difference you have is you have coaches in schemes made around these quarterbacks that they have. Andy Reid went and got my homes McVay. Jared Goff was already there, but they went and got him based off of the way he coaches and the way he schemes, just like when North we talked about we talked about on the show. Sometimes when the perfect storm is when you have the perfect coach, the perfect oc that fits the way your quarterback plays.

And I think both of these teams and the guy in New Orleans with Sean Payton, they all have coaches schemes and that cater to the quarterback skill set. And that's when you have what you saw last night and you can't stop that. And those those two are two of the youngest, young elite quarterbacks. They're the next generation. They're both that they're building teams first round picks that

that those guys went and got. If you put Dak in those schemes, and I have a sheet of paper, you can you can have this one, have this one, okay, don't wait, hang on, dirty words. If you put Dak in those schemes, I love when it does it change? Do you like better when Nate uses analogies or when he stopped screw because you know, okay, see, but you were talking about do you know you're talking about you know cook cook and uh and Hill ran four point

How many points to score last night? Look at the average? Look at the average points. It'll be a different game. It don't matter the Chiefs. The Chiefs have lost two games, and it's been on the road. Am I correct? How many had they lost? Twenty cows, Doug? The Chiefs have lost two games. I think both of

The offense takes over the game in the bigger the game, especially when you have quarterbacks and offensive coordinators that has no conscious. What we saw in the Super Bowl, people say that

was a rarity. What I saw? What? What? What? What? What was to come? And everybody started the season saying about the Saints, and I used them as my brook because I picked the same men. We stopped right here, me and you you say I got it, Now say I got the Saints, because it's nowhere in the world that Drew Brees can ever think that you can line up ten million crossing. Hein't gonna throw that ball and get to the open man. It just ain't gonna happen.

And you got four older quarterbacks that ain't got no conscious, Stiller's quarterback, Saints quarterback, Green Bay quarter they ain't got no conscious. Okay, Now you got the young hounds coming and snapping they ain't got no conscious. As we saw last night, this dude got hit three times for sacked strips, and I'm talking about the young kid my home got two times boom touchdowns through it through in a certain hey Man number fifty hunt, I'm get your present man,

come right back throwing it again. They down by ten points in the fourth quarter. What happened? Okay? Unless we get that mentality as an offense, we're gonna be out of games. And I'm gonna tell you why we're gonna be out of games because we should have had that same mentality against the Texas. Am I wrong? Yeah? We should have had the same mentality against the Redskins the last time. Am I wrong? Right? Okay? And if we would have took that that that mentality, we would have

been sitting at in the lead of the NFC. We wouldn't be talking about it and we will be counting his trip to Mexican. I guess that's what my point is. That Physically, talent wise, I don't know if those teams are that much better than the Cowboys. They got extra play making more than this, But that mentality, that that willingness to air it out, Yeah, they are that a lot of thoughts to they back at coming out because you're boy called a screen and went by twenty five

yards hunt. You know, the only star last night that didn't really shine was Girly and that's cause they just it was just like that. They didn't need him. I tell you, I just I don't know. I guess my thing is the Cowboys need that kind of mentality. They need that. You've got to open it up, air it out. Let's go where they're still playing this conservative ground and pound. Let's you know, let's bright because we're saying that our

offense a grind up, a grind up Kansas City. Okay, I think they'll hang if you believe that our offensive grind up Kansas City. Why we couldn't grind up all sorry nine of defense they was number thirty and thirty one and everything.
